Links in ALV

Hi,
In one of the columns of my ALV table i've got a link to another component.
Depending on some information, I would like to disable/enable the link. Is that possible ?

to make some field as link to action in alv column, u need to create an instance like this
lr_link_to_action type ref to cl_salv_wd_uie_link_to action.
create object lr_link_to_action.
Ok, this class cl_salv_wd_uie_link_to action has a method SET_ENABLED which as a parameter value of type abap_bool.
depending on the condition u call the method as follows
if u want to make enable:
1)lr_link_to_action->set_enabled( abap_true ).
or else
1)lr_link_to_action->set_enabled( abap_false ).

But I have a problem
1. I can expand the child links in tree structure when I comment the exporting parameter CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND in the function Module 'RS_TREE_LIST_DISPLAY'.
2 But when i uncomment the exporting parameter I am unable to expand the child links in output.
Please let me know if i have missed something in the code.

Read the file on application server and Z table as Link in ALV report.

Hi ,
I need some suggession on following requirement.
I need to develop an ALV report where, I have to display 6 column. Four rows are kind of data which i am getting from some tables. But other two column are link to Excel files. So following are the two cases
Case 1: One of these column has a link, and when you select this link , an Excel file gets open and this Excel file is stored in Application server.
Case 2: The other column, will have a link and after selecting the link, an Excel file gets open but this time the Excel file is coming from a Z table( Stored as File name..file type and File content).
Please give some light on these two cases.

If I understood you have to handle some different links.
Well,
you can try to do this:
1- when you fill the fieldcat structure you have to add --> fieldcat-hotspot = 'X', for each column you want to handle like hotspot.
2- manage the method hotspot_click of class cl_event_receiver where you can handle your different excel files.

Using image as a link in ALV

I want a solution for using icon as a link in the column of ALV.
I have tried with the text and it worked well but when i try for the icon it does not

F4 link in ALV OOPs

I am using ALV OOPs. I need to link F4 help to field in Selection Screen, Instead of normal method F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST, I need to implement this in ALV OOPs. Can anybody help on this.

At Selection Screen you don't call method to create the ALV OO yet.
So you can you the FM 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST' in the event AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR your_parameter.

Link in ALV table

Hi,
One of the table column in my ALV table displays Sales order with line item separated by "-".
For Ex : 70000174 - 10.
The sales order number should be a link in the table. When we click on Sales order number it should display another view.
How can I make only sales order number as a link?
Please note: Line item number should not be a link.
It should appear as below in the table.

70000176 - 10
70000177 - 10

Let your cleint know that the above case(original post) is not possible.
One more thing, POPINS are not possible for ALV. Youcan use TABLE UI element for popins.

Show link in ALV with blue background

I have an ALV with three columns. The first shown an input field, the second a dropdown, and the third a link (linkToUrl).
The first to columns are either editble or not, depending on a display/edit mode that the user can set. The third column shall always be not editable.
This all works fine, now my problem:
The column with the links has a white background, but I want it to have the same background than the not-editable columns (light blue).
I tried SET_CELL_DESIGN, but none of the colors there seems to fit. I also tried link->set_editable( false ), which shows the right color, but then, the link is not clickable anymore.
How can I display a link in an ALV column that has the same background than a non-editable, disabled input field?

Settings Link in ALV

I have developed an application using ALV in webdynpro ABAP. Now am crossing across a wierd behaviour. The SETTINGS link above the ALV table gets disabled and also the standard view dropdown is invisible. Also am getting a message "Table does not contain visible columns". This happens only for certain user ids and not all.
Can anyone throw lights on what could be the problem?

Hi Karthik,
I think I know the issue. This happens when you go into the setting tab of the ALV, delete all columns and save it as a view variant and set it to default view.
Run the application standalone and set it right.

Providing link in alv report and on clicking it, a file should open

Hi friends,
I have a requirement where in i have to create alv grid report, in which 1 of the column should
display a link to a text file, which is on server.
On clicking that link, relevent text file should open. So that user can see the data in file there only.
I am trying to do this but not getting it.

User_command - Link ALV o/p with ME33K

Good day Friends,
I have to link my ALV o/p with ME23N OR ME53N OR ME33K according to user Selection ( Purchase Order, Purchase Requistion or Outline agreement)
For ME23N & ME53N it's working successfully.
For ME33K - It's linking with the o/p but not acception the i/p value.
(Ex. I am clicking on ouline agreement value 25000013 or any other value, but it always shows the ME33K screen of outline agreement no. 25000025)
Giving you the code for Reference ---
In debugging for rs_selfield-value is giving the value as selected value (required value).
I am unable to get where it get changed.

hi all,
       i have creeated an alv report using container, and by calling the method set table for first display.the output is coming,wat i want is,
     i have placed a hotspot on document number field,if users clicks it,it has to call fb03 transaction code and the corresponding document shoud open...
i have did this type in ordinary alv report,but how to do this using oops concept,
plz give me a solution along with coding ore sample

Display button in ALV Grid

I have a requirement in ALV:
I need to display a button on the top of alv grid list.Could you please help me out with this.

TO achieve this you should copy the u2018STANDARDu2019 GUI status from program SAPLKKBL using transaction SE90 u2013>Programming SubObjectsu2013> Gui Status.
Steps:
1). Using SE80/SE41 you can copy a GUI status from one program to another. It mentions which one in the FMu2019s help.
2). Create a form named like so:

SET PF-STATUS u2018ZSTANDARDu2019.

In the above case the GUI status copied was named ZSTANDARD and adjusted accordingly, adding and removing the desired buttons. A button was added called u2018%DELETEu2019.
3). Create the following report:

As Iu2019ve added an extra button to indicate which records should be deleted I need to identify a form to be called to process when this button is chosen.
Then when you call the ALV function you to specify the following extra details:

The parameters in capitals are the extra ones that need to be added.

ABAP Custom Report (ALV Format) in Background Processing

Hi
I am not the hardcore ABAP Person. But want to know about the detail fact of the ABAP Custome Reports. The question is can we do the background processing for the ABAP Custome Report in ALV Format.
If Yes ..do we require to have any additional Function/code to get the spool in ALV Format. I saw the comments that the output will look like the mess.
Please share your comment or any useful documenation on this. We are in ECC 6.0

You can use alv's in background using docking containers, but the display wont be interactive. If you search the forum you will see tons of threads which talk about running ALV's in background.
For the output to be interactive, you can run the report in foreground and do the data processing in background.

Main heading and Sub Heading Requirment in ALV wih download to excel featur

Hello Everyone,
I have a very typical requirment in ALV . I want the output to be displayed as folows :
Category
Head1
Head2
Here the heading category is just a heading and no header and line item data. so hirearchal kind of ALV is of no use. and i cant write this was in TOP-OF-PAGE as i want to download this data to excel and if i write it in TOP-OF-PAGE the dwnload in excel is misaligned. I have been thorugh the various topics posted here and couldn't get a feasible solution. Please Help.
