A few days ago, the links in all my emails from stores etc have lines through them, and I am also unable to click through to the main site, for example, Crate and Barrel

Answer: disable any browser extension you have that is to do with SEO e.g SEO quake or similar. Problem solved instantly :)

  • Gantt Chart - why do the orders have hash marks through them?

    MWM 1.5.0.8.1 and ORS
Why do the field orders that are displayed in the gantt chart have hash lines through them?

Those are aggregated by the Gantt chart. Right-click the block in question and hit "Expand" or equivalent. MWM v2.0 will aggregate Activities in the Gantt chart for display purposes if the Activities are similar.

  • Printed photos from Aperture 3.2.1 have lines through them - don't get that when printing from iPhoto

I recently downloaded Aperture 3.2.1 and after editing a couple photos (love that process!), tried to print them.  Both had horizontal lines across the entire photo.  I don't have this problem when printing from iPhoto.
As an FYI, I have this problem when printing from PSE too, but worked around it by importing edited photo back into iPhoto and printing from there.  I don't want to do that with Aperture, because they have much better printing choices.
    I have a Canon MP 500 & a Canon IP 4300 - same issue with either one.
I contacted Canon tech support and got this reply:
We appreciate your correspondence regarding your PIXMA MP500. I am sorry that lines are printing through photos printed from aperture.
If aperture is the only program the issue occurs with then the print setting in aperture will need to be changed. You will need to use the icc profiles for the paper you are using. For details changing the print preferences in aperture please goto: http://www.redrivercatalog.com/profiles/how-to-use-icc-color-printer-profiles-ap erture-3-canon.html
I looked at the link and basically had a brain freeze.  It was very complex, and I was concerned that it was for Red River papers - I use HP paper.
I called HP to get their instructions for icc color printer profiles - complete zero.  They said it's a printer issue and would be happy to sell me a HP printer.
Please, can anyone help a struggling Aperture newbie?  I'm so frustrated.
    Thanks - Jma

    Hello Kirby,
Your recap is correct.  I ran Apple Software Update and both programs are up to date.  I looked on Canon's site and there are no new firmware updates for either printer.
When I select "print" in Aperture, I've selected the Canon MP500.   Under the "Rendering" section, the color profile offers six different selections that include the MP500.  I've tried them all.  They all have lines through them.  There is a note, in grey, beneath the Color Profile box, that says to "Turn off color management in the printer driver".  I have absolutely no idea how to do that, and I've googled it, to no avail
Under "Render Intent" I've tried both selections - Relative Colorimetric and Perceptual.  Still, lines through both.
This is really discouraging.  Both printers work perfectly fine - with iPhoto, so it's hard for me to justify buying a new printer.  And how do I know I wouldn't have the same problem with a new printer?
Fingers crossed that this can be resolved.  I have several photos I'm supposed to be printing for gifts.  And if the problem is in Aperture or PSE, won't the lines still be there even if I use one of the online printing companies?

If you can hook another monitor up and the line is also on it, the problem is your video card. If it's not on the other monitor it's your iMac display. Either way it's not good. Most iMac video cards are soldered onto the logic board and if it goes bad the whole board needs to be replaced and is very expensive. If it's the display it can be changed out but not cheap. Since you have a 20" and 10.5.5 it sounds like an older machine and may be time to get a new one. You need to take it to an Apple repair place to find out for sure.

  • Can I "delete" channels so I don't have to flip through them?

On Comcast I could delete certain channels from my line up - like all the news, religious and foreign-language stations.  Verizon has 10x more of these channels and sometimes I just like to flip through the channels.
Is there a way to delete them so I never have to see them?  I can't find an answer in the user guide.
    Thanks!

I would like to know, if there is anyway I could delete the channels that are not in my AREA? No one at verizon could tell me that, not every area has the same available HD channels. I found out, by researching it online!
I would like to know, if there is anyway I could delete them or do the "favorite" list thing?
Like I said in my reply (above your post) - you can't delete anything from the guide (i.e.. Can't show only subscribed).  The only method is to use favorites (although not reliable to hold your selections) and use "flip by favorites" and there is a guide option to display only favorites.  The latter has a flaw in that the guide no longer wraps around (goes to the lowest channel from the highest channel or vice versa).

  • Why do I have program folders that have a slash through them?

I have folders with programs in them with slash that says that the programs can't be run on Mac Book Pro. .....Mountain Lion
    Do I delete them?
Crazy....this laptop is 1 month old and I had apple transfer from my old laptop.

Too many conflicting details, so we have to get the facts straight before solving any problems:
So the only program that has the slash across it that you need to work is The Print Shop?  You have no need for any other non-functioning older programs...
Under the Apple menu of both computers, go to About This Mac... then More Info... then System Report and tell us the Model Name, Model Identifier and Processor Name for BOTH computers:

Do you think it is still running on my new Mac Book Pro because it started in Leopard and was data transfered over from an APPLE tech?
This new MAC BOOK is only 3 weeks old and has Mountain Lion....
Which Mac had Leopard running on it: the old one or the new one?  A brand new MacBook will not run Leopard...
What is the reference to Tiger 10.4.7 (which predates Leopard 10.5) in your profile?
Do you have The Print Shop manual?  Do you know the version number?  Since it runs, check in the Menus to find a HELP or ABOUT menu and get the version number for us.
So, if I understand you now, it works on your Mt. Lion MacBook but not on your Lion MacBook and your desire is to have it work on both.  Explaining the mystery of why it works in Mt. Lion and not in Lion will cost you extra!

  • Scan has lines through it

All of a sudden today, when I scan a document, I have hundreds of multi-colored lines running the length of the page.
It shows up in the SCAN PREVIEW as well.
When is email the SCAN file, the recipient claims the lines are in the printed copy as well.
With a straight PRINTING effort, there is NO trouble . Copy is clean. ONLY in SCAN mode do I get these lines....hundreds of them.
Running the HP fix download did nothing to cure this.

Hi there @Creole, welcome to the forums
I read your post about your scans showing colored lines through them. I will gladly do my best to recommend some helpful troubleshooting to you. I will need to ask that you first reply with some more information so I can better research this for you.
In the meantime, try power resetting the printer and ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help greatly.
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

  • Sending/receiving email with long lines of text.

Using mail with yahoo plus. Composed emails have long lines of text. Recipients complain that they have to scroll left to right to view them. Not so on a PC with Outlook, anyone know of a solution to this. Thanks

    Hi Chris,
Thanks for the response. No, there were no rules set, but your query gave me ideas. I'd never been in the rules section before, but I played with it for a while with some trial and error and finally made a rule that set all the emails to show with black text, and duplicated it for all the mailboxes, and voila! there were all the emails listed in black text.
While I'm sure there are more effective ways of writing a rule, my rule worked fine. I had it say that if "any" of the following conditions are met: "From" "Contains" "@", perform the following actions: "Set color" "of text" "Other [black]" and applied it to the mailbox.
Thanks for the spark of the idea.

  • Coloured lines through the Ipad screen

Have Ipad 2 now have coloured lines through the screen, no crack screen,.

Possibly a hardware problem, however, have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

  • Blue lines through audio, NOT sampling rate

    Hello,
A friend is editing some audio, using a lot of tracks (around twenty) and shifting the speed. For some reason audio clips that were slowed to 80 percent are appearing with a blue line through them and playing at a very low volume. I checked the sampling rate and it's 48kHz. Also frustrating is that these playback issues are intermittent.
    Any suggestions would be great.
    thanks,
    jesse

He probably doesn't have the CPU horsepower to render twenty audio tracks on the fly. In User Preferences, you can do a few things to reduce the need to render audio:
    a: increase the number of tracks for 'Realtime Playback' - the default is 8 I think, and it can usually handle more;
    b. reduce the audio quality to low - it really doesn't sound bad at all, and it only affects your preview audio;

  • Just bought a cannon eos 70d and every picture I take has black lines through it....?

Is this a settings issue or is there something wrong w the camera....? Any help appreciated. Ta

Welcome, Rachel. Can you post one or two examples of pictures with black lines through them? That might help us figure out what's wrong.
One quick thing to try - format your memory card inside the camera and see if that helps. Yellow wrench menu #1, last item, and press SET. WARNING! This will erase all pictures on your card, so if there are important pictures on there, copy them to your computer first.
