Links left in comment box (long ones, anyway) don't work

I keep having trouble with links left in my comments box... unless they start with www. they seem to be defective. See todays blog post http://web.me.com/mej5/Site/Blog/Entries/2010/1/19Newbie_Learning_Curve.html#commentlayer
Two examples there. Does it have to do with the excessive length of some links? or is there some secret. I've seen links in other iweb blogs.

The first link works fine. However the second one has an apostrophe ( ' ) in the URL and that's what's breaking the link.

* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Klipsch Image ONE headphones don't work with OS6?...

Does anyone know why my Klipsch Image ONE headphones now don't work with OS6? More specifically, the "Mute" and "Next Track Advance" function of the center button used to work with the prior OS, but since 'upgrading' to OS6 I lost the functionality...

it's likely a hardware issue most people experience that the detector which indicate if there is a headset plugged in are activated all the time making their phone silent but your issue is likely the opposite
the cure if it exist would likely be the same as the stuck in headset mode

Xi3 box LONG delay before the remote works

When I turn on my TV in the bedroom, it takes nearly 3 minutes before the box responds to any commands. Guide, channel change, etc... Nothing happens for several minutes. Once it finally responds, it then works fine, but it should not take this long before anything happens. I rebooted and nothing was fixed. I just got this box installed yesterday too. ANy idea what is going on?

ANy idea what is going on?Since the Xi3 is "borrowing" a tuner from the DVR, the delay could be due to communications issues between the Xi3 and the DVR.... try doing what Andrew stated first....power both down by pulling the power plugs. Plug in the DVR first and allow it to full boot up.... once that is done, then plug in the Xi3 and allow it to fully boot up. Now try to turn on the Xi3 from a powered down state and see if that changes the access timing....

Using SSI in a page. Pages in one folder don't work

I have a fairly large site (page count wise that is) that I
have tried my first case of using a Server Side Include. The site
is

In the upper left area of the side navigation bar, green,
there are two text links, Christmas and Trees & Wreaths. Those
2 text links are actually a SSI, where the page the SSI is calling
has only those 2 links in it.
I got it to work on my webserver, no problem.
However, there is a group of pages, further down the left
column, one being "Interior Plant Maintenance" as an example. This
group of 20 or 30 pages puts up an error in the spot where the SSI
is supposed to go. There error is "an error occurred while
processing this directive".
The whole site is based on a master Template, so if some
pages work, they all should. I even tried deleting the Template
info from this one page, re-applying it, and uploading, and still
get that error.
At first I thought it was just this group of pages because
they reside in a sub-directory off the home, but that's not it
because most others that work are also in a folder.
Any ideas? I have no clue where to begin troubleshooting
this

No - the link to the file being included doesn't have to be
root relative.
BUT all links within the file being included should be
(unless everything is
in the same folder).

Email Link... and Email Image menu items don't work.

Suddenly, about a week ago, the Email Link... and Email Image menu items stopped working. Problem seems to be on only one login on one of my three machines. The rest seem to be OK.
Using FF 19.0 and TB 17.0.3 under Windows 7.
Any ideas?

Thank you. Although I had already checked the MailTo: application and found it set to "Use Thunderbird (default)", clearing that association and setting it to "Always Ask" jarred things loose. When I set it back to T-Bird, it worked again.

My left and right click on the trackpad don't work.

From reading a number of the posts here, it would seem that trackpads not working is an issue that Apple may need to look into. I have personally resorted to using a mouse and the trackpad as a touchpad. For all the finger gestures, my trackpad works fine, but it doesn't respond at all to the left or right click options. It clicks audibly, but neither responds. There were some posts about playing around with a PRAM (whatever that may be), but surely there must be a more definitive solution. Does anyone know if this is an issue that is being addressed by Apple or does anyone know of a permanent solution? I don't mind continue to use the external mouse, but it seems a shame that the trackpad malfunctions and there is no apparent solution; that's unlike an Apple product. Your input would be appreciated.

With the laptop open, turn it on to it's side. Repeatedly click the trackpad with a firm, but not excessive amount of force. Put the laptop on the other side and repeat.
I can't explain why this works. Perhaps some amount of debris or dust has built up under there ? I went from not being able to click-drag without an excessive amount of pressure, back to a normal amount of pressure after doing this."

In prev versions all was ok.

Outlook Web Access sends an illegal Content-Dispositon header to Firefox. This is no longer allowed in Firefox 8. Firefox 9 will have a workaround for this so that Microsoft has time to fix their software.<br>

I'm having the oddest situation... On my 13" MBP, when trying to enter text into a Facebook comment box; my delete key is totally non-functional. I works just fine everywhere else, just not in the comment box. Cannot delete characters.

IPhone 6+ Website Links Don't Work In Landscape Mode

I've had this issue since I started using the iPhone 6 Plus and I actually had it swapped (not for this reason) so it's been happening on 2 separate phones. I've also installed each software update and currently (Feb 02 2015) have 8.1.3 but it continues
ISSUE: While in landscape mode, all links on a website (happens on any site) don't work as links. They act as plain text.
WORK AROUND: Turning the phone into vertical orientation fixes the problem. Also, you can turn it to vertical, then turn it back to landscape and the links work again.
So it's not like a huge problem where I have to quit Safari or reboot the phone but still, it seems like I obviously can't be the only one having the problem since it happened on 2 phones and I only sync through iCloud but don't even have backups turned on so I didn't restore from back up at any point.
Seems like something that would have been fixed with one of the 8.x.x updates but it's still happening.

Same here - I returned my original, same problem on the second one, and same problem on my son's phone. I called Apple tech months ago, got to a senior supervisor who assured me he'd get back to me, but never did.

Links in blog summary don't work

Ever since I upgraded to iLife '08 any links that I post in my blog page don't work in the summary (or RSS feed). For some reason when iWeb creates the summary it changes the links. For instance a web gallery link may end in gallery#10005 and the summary link changes it to something like gallery%2516278 and as a result .Mac gives you a "can't find your page" page.
This very frustrating as there seems to be no way to fix the links in the summary (as it is created automatically). Does anyone else have this problem or know what might be going on here?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did it happen only on those three entries or was it happening with new posts as well? (I had a harddrive failure and had to rebuild the site a while back so I think I have recreated the blog in iWeb '08.)
The fact that this is happening in my new posts is baffling.

Macbook keyboard left/right arrow keys don't work

First time here and first time to touch a Macbook - I'm in IT but on the other side of the fence.
My partner's laptop is a Core2-Duo @ 2GHz which I've stuck 4GB of RAM and a newer SATA HDD into, I've also updated the firmware just in case it was needed to see the 4GB and also I seem to recall bootcamp wanting it.
A while back I was asked to put Vista-64 on it, I've done that and like most people mucked around with bootcamp drivers and got nearly everything working.
I noticed that some keys and the 'right click' ability wasn't working so I installed the Keyboard Input Remapper - this seems to only be for MacBook Pro however it did get me a right-click button so I didn't argue with that.
I'm not sure if it's because I've upgraded the firmware or not but Windows detects the keyboard as a MacBook Pro - and after I install the keyboard remapper it comes up as a more generic keyboard device "HID Compliant Keyboard" I think it is.
In particular the left and right directional arrow keys simply don't work, I can't even re-map them with a third party utility like Sharpkeys because it can't detect any input from them.
Doesn't seem to matter if I use the "Macbook Pro" keyboard or the "HID Compliant" keyboard with or without the input remapper - no combination I've found can seem to make it work and I can't find a non "Pro" keyboard driver.
I've spent many hours trying to figure this out and reading posts all over the web, the keys work under Mac OS 10.5.4.

It's not a link, its an icon that indicates the photo cannot be found in the location where PSE expects it. This happens because you either renamed, moved or deleted the photos outside of PSE. To fix the problem, use File->Reconnect (you will have to find the actual file in one of your folders), and in the future, no more moving, renaming or deleting photos outside of PSE; if you MUST rename or move photos, do so from within PSE.

Well without seeing your design, I can tell you that in order
to make your webpage expand and contract based on the screen
resolution will require that you use possibly repeating backgrounds
in table cells or layers that have widths based on percentages
rather than pixels.
As far as a comments box goes, based on your description it
sounds like you need a contact form to submit information to an
email account as opposed to a comments box (
http://www.shoutpro.com/ - that
is a comments box).
If you need a form to mail to an email you should consider
what you can run on your server. More than likely, even if PHP is
available it would be blocked by your server so you would have to
use cgi for mail. So I would recommend trying this script:

It is fairly simple, you just have to point your form to the
CGI file that is include in the script. Then there are instructions
on the site telling you how to edit that CGI file to send an email
to where you need it to go. Hopefully this is what you are looking
for. If you have any questions about it feel free to post
