i am working with oracle forms(6i).i want to display a list of items in a listbox.the items in the listbox are from a textbox(i.e,when a button is pressed the value in the textbox should be placed in the listbox).

I had created a table maintenance for Ztable and added many extra functionality to that. Now i would like to add a list box or check table for a field. Can i do that with out Regenerating my table maintenance. Please help me its..very urgent.

Have referred this domain to the data element, this should be the Field type in ur table for the particular field.
Eg: <b>SE11 > table name > fields-ZTEST > fieldtype-ZZTEST</b>
ZZTEST in the data element > create a domain for this data element and in that specify teh value range.
Save and activate it.
Make sure that u regenerate teh table maintenance generator else u cant see the changes.
Now if u press F4 u can see only thevalues specified, also u will see only the list box with values in SM30.

How to find list box field from recording

Dear All,
My requirement is to close all POs whose delivery date is overdue by 6 months. this can be accomplished by setting the delivery indicator in ME22N. I want to do this by BDC.
I have the list of all purchase doc numbers and item numbers whose delivery date satisfies the condition given.
Through Recording I want to find the fields getting effected. The delivery inidcator has to be set automatically by choosing the appropriate item from the dropdown list box. Choosing th eitem from dropdon list box was not found by me. Can anybody help me in this regard? Its very urgent. Thanks in advance

Event for the List Box in ALV Grid Control

Hello,
I have the below urgent requirment.
I have an ALV Grid Control built using ABAP Objects. In the grid, I have few fields and one of these fields is a List Box. Depending on the values selected, I need to enable or disable some fields. So, is there any event for the List box in ALV Grid Control.
For ex: I have 2 Fields, Designation and Commission. The designation field is a List Box field having 'Software Engineer' and 'Manager' as values. When I select 'Software Engineer', the commission field should be disabled. When I select 'Manager', the comission field should be enabled.

The Problem that I am facing is not difficult but Confusing.
In my First Jsp Page I have 2 Select boxes(Combo Boxes or U may Call List Box).
I have Allowed Multiselect.
the Second List Box is Empty.The person is allowed to Select what ever he wishes from the First Select Box to the Second List Box.
Now after Selecting all his Options when he Submits his form the request is Delegated to another JSP.
The Problem that I am facing is that I want all the item's that
Are Present in the Second Lsit Box.
How do I get all the (Items)values that are present in that List Box.
With Request.getParameterValues()
I can only get what all items are Selected in the Second List box but I need all the (Items)values that present in the List Box.
Please Could Some One help me out.

EklavyaThere are 2 ways you could do this, I can think of. First, instead of using a select box for the second select box, you could use a textarea where the options from the first select box is transferred to. You would then access the values with request.getParameter("textareaName");.
Or, you could have javascript code to loop through all of the options in the second select box, and create a string (possibly delimited by a space) upon submitting the form. Before you submit the form with Javascript, you would set a hidden field in the form to the string that was created with Javascript, and access the string with request.getParameter("hiddenfieldName"); Hope this helps.

List Box - Object How do you get "allow multiple item selection" option to work?

developing a fillable PDF form using livecycle. I have several list boxes that contain multiple text items. I have entered all items directly into the item list and I have selected "allow multiple selection". The object is committed on exit, All the binding options have been left on default settings. BUT when the form is tested it will not allow multiple selections. I cannot find anything in help to resolve this. CAN Someone help me. This is urgent!!!!!

Thank you for your suggestion, but it does not appear to work. I used the alt key then my mouse to select, but it still only allows for 1 selection. I do not see the sample you said you included, so I cannot check to see if I have a setting incorrect. If you have any other suggestions I would really appreciate it or if there is a way for you to look at the form, at this point I am open to any suggestions.

Handling of list boxes

I am developing a web application for my organization. in one of the forms i have a list box where the user can select multiple entries from the listbox. now, i need to handle this situation in the next JSP page where the user is redirected to.
to make my problem more clear, i am providing a sample code of what i have and what i want:
Code on Page 1:

When a multiple select box submits, it submits multiple name/value pairs.
eg
submit.jsp?xyz=1&xyz=2
You use
request.getParameter("xyz") only retrieves one value.
request.getParameterVales("xyz") retrieves an array of them.

Getting multiple values from a list box

Hi,
I am not able to get multiple selected values from a list box using the getParameterValues(). I used the following code..

can anyone tell me what the error is or is there any other way i can get multiple selected values from a list box.

How to capture the selected values from module pool dialog list box !

Hi experts,
Can anyone help me out in capturing the values from the list box.
i am able to set the values in the list box.But i am not able to capture the selected value from the list box. Always the list box name is getting as "space"
I also tried in using the FM "VRM_GET_VALUES" but it is retireving all the values. Is there is any flag for filttering out the selected value.

Along with the PBO and PAI event, add a POV event in the flow logic of the screen
DEMO_DROPDOWN_LIST_BOX -is a good demo example.
PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.

In the report :

In the layout, assign a Function Code , for eg : 'SELECTED' to the listbox and lets say name of the field is SDYN_CONN-CARRID. So in the PAI module,
MODULE user_command_0100 INPUT.

    WHEN 'SELECTED'.
      MESSAGE i888(sabapdocu) WITH sdyn_conn-carrid.
ENDCASE.
ENDMODULE.
sdyb_conn-carrid will contain your selected field

How to set a default value for a drop down list box and then apply cascading based on the default value in Infopath 2010.

Hello Everyone
I have two drop downs. Both are coming from look up fields from two lists. i want to set a default value(first list item) for the first drop down list box and then apply cascading based on the default value for the next drop down list box. I found one article(http://www.bizsupportonline.net/infopath2010/display-first-item-drop-down-list-box-infopath-2010.htm)
where in i can set a default value but i can't apply cascading based on that default value. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Hi Sireesha,
You want to display value based on the key selected in dropdown list. If you want to do like that
1) Create a context attribute for ex: key_value
2)In the properties of the attribute select the calculated as true.
3)It will create getter and setter methods for your attribute.
4)Go to implementation add the following code in getter method of your attribute
String attributeName = IPrivateCreate.IContextElement.KEY;
//KEY is your dropdown key attribute not the value attribute.
IWDAttributeInfo attributeInfo = element.node().getNodeInfo().getAttribute(attributeName);
ISimpleTypeModifiable simpleType = attributeInfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
IModifiableSimpleValueSet valueset = simpleType.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
Object key = element.getAttributeAsText(attributeName);
return valueset.getText(key);

Getting values from list box

i am populating a list box with Id's and names from a database and im trying to get the values from the list box depending what the user chooses, i.e if they choose the first choice in the list box the value i want to put in a variable is 1, etc
here is the code for the list box, please help

Of course, it'll only return selected values. It'll be whatever the option values are.

How can I have multiple-selection list box "select at least one checkbox" option active only when the section it's in is visible?

Hi, I'm using SP13 and InfoPath2013.
I created a custom form and published it to SP13 document library. This form has many MSLB. Depending on the checkboxes selected in the 1st MSLB, the other MSLB will either hide or show. Each MSLB is in its own section. The requirement
is to have each MSLB to have at least one checkbox selected. Well, the problem is that when that MSLB isnot checked in the 1st MSLB it is not visible and shouldn't require any checkbox to be selected. However, the form can't get submitted instead
an error dialog would pop up and ask user to make a selection for MSLB that is not even displayed. Is there any way to fix this besides unchecking all MSLB to be not required at least one selection? Thank you.

I follow your reply post here and still doesn't work. I also noticed your screen shot of selecting a field is not the same as what I see in InfoPath 2013.
Here is what I did,
1.Check At least one selection required for
these Multiple-selection List Boxes
as you want .
2.Create a Formatting rule for the 2nd
Multiple-selection List Box.
3.Add a Condition as below:
4. I get a validation error if I don't
select at least one checkbox in the hidden MSLB control when submitting.
I think I'm following all the steps correctly
but please let me know if I'm not.
