I have a situation where user lets say 'A' used to run some reports. A left the company so the person who replaced A wants to run the same reports but he doesn't have access. So I checked if A owns any reports then I found out that A doesn't have ownership of any reports which he used to run. Is there any way I can find reports which are accessible to specific user. You can import the The Discoverer V5 EUL business area and workbooks which are in the EUL5.eex file shipped with Discoverer administrator. This will show you all the workbook shares set up in the EUL.
Alternatively you can run the SQL below which will give you the workbooks shared with a user or role:

Getting list of reports a user has access to

I'm new to BO and have been trying to figure out a way to get a list of reports a specific user has access to. In reading the documentation in the SDK it appears the only way to do this is to get a list of all reports, loop through them, getting the ObjectPrincipals, looping through that then checking if the objectPrincipal.Name == user.Title.

Print List Processing Report to PDF
hi all,
i've read many forums about convert info into PDF. but i'm very new to understand those forums.
In case I want to print list processing report as PDF (not hard copy thru printer). First, user types the data on the screen then click on 'Execute' button, then the system shows the result on screen. After that user asks system for print the screen on menu bar by List=>Print.
So please advise me how to get the spool id, then export as pdf. As my opinion, i may use CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF and GUI_DOWNLOAD. But where is the place I should put the methods on?

Introduction
There is a scenario that the data in the report changes infrequently, so the users want to be informed and get the most updated data once the data changes. By default, report server always run the report with the most recent data. Is there a way that we
can subscribe the report, so that we can send an email to users when the data in the report has been changed?
Solution
To achieve this requirement, we can create a subscription for the report, then create a trigger in the table which including the report data. When this table has data insert, update or delete, it will be triggered and execute the subscription to send email
to users.
In the Report Manager, create a subscription for the report and make it only execute one time.
When we create a subscription, a corresponding SQL Agent job will be created. Then we can use the query below to find out the job based on ScheduleId:

Please note that the command ‘exec [ReportServer].dbo.AddEvent @EventType='TimedSubscription', @EventData='b64ce7ec-d598-45cd-bbc2-ea202e0c129d'’ is coming from the job properties. We can go to SQL Server Agent Jobs, right-click the corresponding job to open
the Steps, copy the step command, and then paste it to the query.
Then when the user table has data insert, update or delete, the trigger will be triggered and execute the subscription to send email to users.

I created a form with Single Choice fields, 4 days with times listed. But, I want the user to only be able to choose one time, and the time chosen to be unavailable for other users. How do I do this? I have 4 blocks of Single Choice fields in order for the summary page to give me each day in the final report. But, I need the user to be able to make a selection of any day and time and that apointment to no longer be available to future users when they log in. Plus, when the user clicks on the time, they are unable to change their mind and choose another time. I'm afraid not. It's not rocket science but you need to do some coding.
You'll need to find a script (php) and save it to your local site folder. Then reference the script in your form's action attribute like so.

The input fields in your HTML form need to exactly match the script variables.
I'm assuming you're hosted on a Linux server which uses PHP code. Linux servers are also case sensitive, so upper case names are not the same as lower case names. It's usually best to use all lower case names in your form and script to avoid confusion.

I want to create a List View Filter based on specified user ID. I dont want to specify the [Me] for filtering the view based in current logged in User.
I want the view to be based on specific user ID for Ex: "AD\JohnDoe"

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction: I have a list for Media announcements, each one of these announcements will have various types of documents associated (via look up field in the doc library). I am trying to have a data form web part (dropdown)
as the selector (as I am not liking the SharePoint list filter feature) to have a user be able to select the Media Title, then it refreshes the three web parts on the page (1 for the announcement, then one for type1 docs and one for type 2 docs.)

Suppose you have one Announcements list and two Document Library in a page, then you want to add a Drop Down Menu(not the OOTB SharePoint List Filter Web Part) to filter the
three List View Web Part dynamically.
There will be two workarounds:
1. Use the OOTB “Connections” feature of the list to “Get Filter Values From” one of the three lists, then there will be a “Select” button in that list, we can click it to filter
other two lists/libraries. This is a way without code though we may not have the Drop Down Menu;
2. Add three <iframe> in a page, then add a Drop Down Menu in this page. Now, we will need some JavaScript to listen to the onchange event of this Drop Down Menu. We can
get the values populated in the Drop Down Menu from one of the column of one of the list, when making a selection in it, we can pass an URL with query strings to the three iframes which will show the three different lists or libraries.
The second way requires some code to interact with Client Object Model cause we need to get values from a list, some script to handle the onchange event, which seems more suit
with your need.

Delegated Admin reports strange number of users
I recently noted that our Delegated Admin (Delegated Administrator 6.4-2.05, B2008-04-29) Organizations page
(the one which lists the hosted domains and particularly their "Number of Users") lists this number plain wrong.
For many organizations it is reported as 0 or 1, for one there's a blank line, and only one seemingly has 39 users.
When I click on organizations however, I see their full lists of users (I believe, ones which have a non-empty mail
attribute set in LDAP) and there are tens in most orgs and over a hundred accounts in the larger org.
What is wrong? Does DA's Organization-List page use some other means of counting the users than the individual

Presenting Enterprise Reporting "Catalog" to end Users

My company is currently looking at providing a method for presenting all our production BW reports to our end users (probably via Web browser). Requirements include publishing documentation on the reports useage intent and a list of a report's fields with detailed business descriptions of the fields in the report. The ability to select a field and search the "library" for reports that use that field is also being looked at.
Wondering if anyone has already undergone this type of task and would be willing to provide some details and/or advice. I have configured the mail server and able to send reports to internal mails.
I have followed the following steps as mensioned in all blogs:
1. I created a d table called SA_SYSTEM_USER with default columns as mensioned.
2. Imported into Physical Layer
3. Created a view for Dummy table(Dual) with 'DUMMY' column.
4. Joined these tow tables DUMMY fact and SA_SYSTEM_USER as Dimension on DUMMY join Email.
5. Renamed columnsfor Presentaion table as mensioned in Bolgs.
6. Restarted the servers.
7. I noticed the system mail and system delivery profile created with only one email id(where are the other email ids from my SA_SYSTEM_USER table?)
8. But as written in blogs it never sends emails to external mails e.g. [email protected](this is existng mail in SA_SYSTEM_USER)

2. I can see only one email account appears in My Account-->Active Profile. where I loaded 2 email accounts in my User table. Does it matters while I am choosing 'Specific Devices' on 'Destinations' Tab while deselecting 'Ineractive Dashboard' and 'Active Delivery Profile'?
3. By default the report is going to that mail account (internal only) if I select Destinations--> Active Delivery Profile.
4. As mmy requirement is to send emails to the users external to organization( external to our local SMTP server distribution list), I entered my Gmail account to test.
When save the iBot there was no response.
5. Do I need to set filter on specifc user on a conditional request to send e-mai to that usel??
6. Is there any solution for this please? Thsi is a must requiremnet.
My Thought (I am not sure) : 1. I create those user IDs on SMTP server
2. send reports to this user list.
3. From these user ID mail inbox of SMTP server if possible: forward those reports to external email IDs.
