1) Dashboard: The Web report in BW each have specific URL. But for the users it is difficult to remember the URL.So they create a Dashbord which essentially displays the main page from where you can navigate to the report that you want. The dashboard typically may contain chart also. The dashboards are now designed in Enterprise Portal. The dashboard main page would be different for different users based on their role.
You can check the SEM Documentaion which has the CPM component which has the dashboards.

Authentication against two user lists and knowing the difference?
I have a security realm that is the standard out-of-the-box security realm with one modification. I created an authentication provider to validate users and groups defined in a 3rd party data store. The control flag for each authentication provider (the default one and mine) is set to 'sufficient' so that there is one user account that allows me to log into the WebLogic console that is not defined in the 3rd party data store.
If I run my application and log in with the WebLogic admin userid, the security realm successfully authenticates the user (it passes the default authentication provider) and permits entry to my application. Unfortunately, this is not good for me. The application, at startup, goes to the 3rd party data store and retrieves more information about the user that just logged in. For the WebLogic admin account, it will not find the user.
Is there a way to configure WebLogic security such that a particular application can ensure authentication by a specific provider?
Another environment I need to handle is having two applications deployed, each needing to authenticate its users with two different data sources containing valid users and groups.

Sorry for being thick but this is what I'm trying to do.
I have an application built in htmldb that I want to be accessable from the e-business suite applications main menu. I've set this up and a user can select it how ever I have no authentication so even though its not assigned to you you can still goto the app by just entering the url. So when a user goes to that htmldb app I want to check that they have that resp assigned to them, this can be done with the following

Thanks...I cannot think of a way to do that. The code that reads the list is supposed to know the key names. That is sort of the point with parameter lists. If you need to have parameter lists that can be interepreted by some code that doesn't know about a specific list but knows how to interpret it by inspecting the key names, perhaps you can specify a separate parameter list with the key names as values and call the keys of that list something generic?

How to write a method without knowing how many parameters passed in?

i m writing a method which is to find out the max value of a set of values, e.g.

......in these case, there are 4 parameters, but what i m trying to do is to write a general method can handle any number of parameters. for some reason, i can't pass in an Array, or a Collection, is there any way i can achieve it?

Pictures with GPS-data will not be shown in list-view (PSE 11, Win7)
A lot of pictures of my collection do have GPS-data in EXIF-header. Sometimes they are shown on the world-map, sometimes not. In list-view they are never shown. The list-view knows only locations, which are matched with PSE.
The EXIF-input was made by two different tools (Holux GPS Software and Geosetter 3.4.16).
How can I get the list-view for the saved files without using PSE adding location?Many modern cameras add GPS co-ordinates and these will usually show in the info panel of the Media module under Camera Data >> GPS
I guess your exif tools work differently to a camera. Are you able to embed the metadata into the image files before importing into PSE Organizer? -
What is (ParamErr: error in user parameter list)
I get the following error message when I try to send my imovie '11 project to iDvd:
Unable to prepare project for publishing. The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred. (ParamErr: error in user parameter list)
Anybody know why?There may be more than one cause for this error, but in most cases the project to be published includes short clips of less than about 1.5 seconds duration.
Duplicate the project. From the duplicate, delete the short clips and try to publish. If that doesn't solve the problem, see the post by Didorx in this thread. -
I was running 3.5 and firefox did a little upgrade on it's own. Now I can't see any bookmarks I've added after 2009 in the bookmarks manager list or sidebar but if I search something I know I added it will show up with a date when I added it in 2010 or 2011 but I cant see these in the list without knowing what to search for. I only seem to have one "profile" I have tried restoring back to old bookmarks from the weekend with no success, and I even upgraded to 3.6 but no luck. Is there an addon or extension that could be blocking my view of the rest of my bookmarks?
Not sure about the middle click, I only used a two button mouse until recently, and maybe you could have subscribed differently or used some add-on.
Firefox 4 does not at present show the RSS icon in the location bar, but does have a customise option providing a button, or ass-ons can put one back in the location bar.

The listings do still show icons differently if already viewed, and if links are displayed the read and unread ones may display differently. This depends partly on how the page you view is set-up by the feed provider.

Outlook 2007 doesn't show the icloud service running in Windows 7 within outlook. Does anyone know what the dll for this service is so it can be manually added to outlook? I've installed the icloud control panel app and set it up to synch everything, but after initially downloading my icloud calendar, it won't process any calendar updates (new entries made on either iphone 4 on ios 5 or outlook).
So since the control panel installed, but the service doesn't show running in outlooks "trust center" add-ins list, anyone know the actual dll file it would point to so I can see if I can add it the hard way?I had the same issue and figured it out. First you have to start Outook as administrator. To do this, shift and right-click on outlook and click run as administrator. Next you need to enable Hard-disabled add-ins:

Hard disabling can occur when an add-in causes the application to close unexpectedly. It might also occur on your development computer if you stop the debugger while the Startup event handler in your add-in is executing.
To re-enable an add-in
In the application, click the File tab.
Click the ApplicationName Options button.
In the categories pane, click Add-ins.
In the details pane, verify that the add-in appears in the Disabled Application Add-ins list. The Name column specifies the name of the assembly, and the Location column specifies the full path of the application manifest.
In the Manage box, click Disabled Items, and then click Go.
Select the add-in and click Enable.
Click Close.
Then you need to activate it.

Linked lists problem -- help needed
Hello again. I've got yet another problem in my C++ course that stems from my use of a Mac instead of Windows. I'm going to install Parallels so I can get Windows on my MacBook and install Visual Studio this week so that I don't have to deal with these discrepancies anymore, but in the meanwhile, I'm having a problem here that I don't know how to resolve. To be clear, I've spent a lot of time trying to work this out myself, so I'm not just throwing this up here to have you guys do the work for me -- I'm really stuck here, and am coming here as a last resort, so I'll be very, very appreciative for any help that anyone can offer.
In my C++ course, we are on a chapter about linked lists, and the professor has given us a template to make the linked lists work. It comes in three files (a header, a source file, and a main source file). I've made some adjustments -- the original files the professor provided brought up 36 errors and a handful of warnings, but I altered the #include directives and got it down to 2 errors. The problematic part of the code (the part that contains the two errors) is in one of the function definitions, print_list(), in the source file. That function definition is shown below, and I've marked the two statements that have the errors using comments that say exactly what the errors say in my Xcode window under those two statements. If you want to see the entire template, I've pasted the full code from all three files at the bottom of this post, but for now, here is the function definition (in the source file) that contains the part of the code with the errors:

As you can see, the problem is with the two statements that contain the 'setw' function. Can anyone help me figure out how to get this template working and get by these two errors? I don't know enough about linked lists to know what I can and can't mess with here to get it working. The professor recommended that I try using 'printf' instead of 'cout' for those two statements, but I don't know how to achieve the same effect (how to do whatever 'setw' does) using 'printf'. Can anyone please help me get this template working? Thank you very, very much.

I do think it is a good idea to verify your code on the platform it will be tested against. That means Visual Studio. However, you don't want to use Visual Studio. As you have found out, it gets people into too many bad habits. Linux is much the same way. Both development platforms are designed to build anything, whether or not it is syntactically correct. Both GNU and Microsoft have a long history of changing the language standards just to suit themselves.
I don't know what level you are in the class, but I have a few tips for you. I'll phrase them so that they answers are a good exercise for the student
* Look into const-correctness.
* You don't need to compare a bool to 1. You can just use bool. Plus, any integer or pointer type has an implicit cast to bool.
* Don't reuse your CURSOR pointer as a temporary index. Create a new pointer inside the for loop.
* In C++, a struct is the same thing as a class, with all of its members public by default. You can create constructors and member functions in a struct.
* Optimize your function arguments. Pass by const reference instead of by copy. You will need to use pass by copy at a later date, but don't worry about that now.
* Look into initializer lists.
* In C++ NULL and 0 are always the same.
* Return the result of an expression instead of true or false. Technically this isn't officially Return Value Optimization, but it is a good habit.
Of course, get it running first, then make it fancy. -
Adding new contact or edit existing contact appears in the top of contact list
When i add a new contact, or when i edit an existing contact. It appears in the top of the contact list. Knowing tha the contact name does not start with letter A, and it appears above contacts with letter A. Please i need belp fixing this problem. It really annoys.
I have the 4S running 5.0.1ckuan, thanks but i solved the problem by exporting vcf files and re-importing it back on iCloud, its ok i found duplicate names in iCloud, but on my phone it works as it should.

Adding criterias for Price List Criterias Selection

I would need to add OITM.FirmCode as a list under the Article and having this new field used to filter the price list

List Definition missing ribbon tab in View

I am having a bit of a conundrum with my list definition and am looking for some help.
I created a list definition in visual studio SharePoint project and gave it six views. Going through the Schema, I noticed a lot or extraneous attributes and elements added to the views in a very disorganized manner. After realigning all
the elements and attributes and removing unnecessary data, all the views of my list are finally working as expected. Except for one. It turns out that one of the six similar views does not show Files/Items Ribbon Tab, and I can't understand
why it does this.
So if anybody who has worked with List Definitions knows anything about this, I would be grateful.Hi,
If this is the only one view comes with the issue, it is suggested that you can create a simple demo list view with only some basic configuration, if it works, then we can add
the additional customization and do the test again.
It will be easier to find out the root cause of the issue by following the steps above.
