List view to include a column or field which would display the sequence number in a view

I have a view for a list which displays items following any condition or sorting. Now, i would like to display the list items in such  a way that
the auto incremented numbers are displayed as an arbitary field which would display the numbers such that
its just going to display items in sequence. Is there anything that can be done in sharepoint designer for the list to accomodate a column/field which would display the sequence numbers.

There are columns such as
Name, Goals
and  it should be arranged in descending order of Goals and it could be paginated but also a column should be displayed for ranks e.g
Name Goals Rank
A          40     1
B          39     2
C          30     3
So, the idea is the ways it is sorted in descending order, if we possibly have a counter then we could display the ranking of the items.

    I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
    When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
    At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
    I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

  • Adding new site columns to my issue tracking List, will result in having their Source field as blank inside the Issue content type

    I have added an Issue tracking list to my SharePoint team site 2013. Then I wanted to add 5 extra columns to my list . So I did the following:-
    I went to site settings.
    Then I added 5 new site columns.
    I went back to my list setting, I click on the “Issue” content type, and I added the 5 newly added site columns to my "Issue" content type , using the “Add from existing site or list columns” link as follow:-
    And then these columns were added automatically inside the Edit, Create& Display forms.
    But since this is the first time I work on such a task , so I want to make sure that I did every thing correctly. Because I am not sure why the 5 newly added site columns will have their source field inside the “Issue” content type as blank , as shown in
    the above picture. So does this indicate that there is a problem ? or this is because I have added the 5 newly added site columns to the List content type and not inside the Content type at the site level ?

    Hi,
    It’s by design, the Source field means the content type name.
    As you said, when we create a new column, if we not attach the column to a content type, then the column would have not the source field option.
    However, if you create a new column, then add the column in a content type, the content type would automatically update in the site.
    Now, you would see a source content type appear.

  • Graph which should display the data of a view object not visible

    Hi,
    I have a main page which contains a <af:panelAccordion> component with three <af:showDetailItem> components. Each of these <af:showDetailItem> components contain a page fragment. In each of these page fragments are a <af:table>, <dvt:pieGraph>, <dvt:lineGraph> and a <dvt:areaGraph> which represent data of view objects.
    In the first <af:showDetailItem> window all components are visible. But when I click on another <af:showDetailItem> all components are visible except the <dvt:areaGraph>. Weird is when I insert a <af:commandLink> into the page fragment without any functions. Also the link doesn't invoke any mehtod and partial submit is set to false. Now when I click on this link the <dvt:areaGraph> with its data become visible and show the data.
    The area graph and the line graph have partial triggers set to the table. Because when another row in the table is selected, the area and line graph should show data which is dependent on the selected row of the table.
    Has anybody an idea?

    thanks for your response.
    I created a fragment-based flow and dragged it onto the main page as a region component. The main page contains the panelAccordian with its showDetailItem's. Each of the showDetailItem components of the panelAccordian contain such a region component.
    Now I set the partial trigger's property of the region component pointing to the showDetailItem component which contains the region but nothing changed. The graph is still not visible at the first click on the detailItem. I also set the trigger's property of the region component pointing to the panelAccordian but also nothing happens.

  • Dreamweaver CS6 for Mac: Is there a way to display the file path in Design View?

    Under Windows, DW's Design View shows you the path to the current file, right next to the document tab. I noticed the Mac version omits this handy feature. For those of us who work with lots of similarly named files distinguished only by folders, being able to quickly see what folder we're in is crucial. (see image below -- that's where Windows shows you the path, but is blank in Mac)
    Is there something I'm missing, or some way to get that functioning? I know that I can see the path if I switch to Live View, but that is kludgy and breaks my workflow.

    I use CoderPlus workspace & tabbed panels.  For me, the file url is on the far right side. See screenshot. 
    If you click the "Page Icon" in upper right corner to tile, the URL shows on the left side.

  • How to add a column to a list created with the Dynamic List Wizard to display the values of the fiel

    Hi,
    ADDT, Vista, WAMP5.0
    We have 2 tables: clients_cli (id_cli, name_cli, tel_cli, and several more fields) and cases_cas (id_cas, idcli_cas, court_cas, and a lot of other fields).
    Clients may have many cases, so table cases_cas have a foreign key named idcli_cas, just to determine which case belongs to which client.
    We designed the lists of the two tables with the Dynamic List Wizard and the corresponding forms with Dynamic Form Wizard.
    These two forms are linked with the Convert Dynamic List and Form Wizards, which added a button to clients list named "add case".
    We add a client and then the system returns to the clients list displaying all clients, we look for the new client just added and then press "add case", which opens the Dynamic Form for cases, enter all case details and everything processes ok.
    However, when we view the cases list it display all the details of the case, including the column and values for the foreign key idcli_cas. As you can image, it is quite difficult for a human to remember the clients ids.
    So, in the cases list we added a another column, named it Name, to display the names of the clients along with cases details. We also created another recordset rsCli, selected the clients_cli table, displaying all columns, set filter id_cli = Form Variable = idcli_cas then press the Test button and everything displays perfect. Press ok.
    Then, we position the cursor inside the corresponding cell of the new Name column, go to Bindings, click on name_cli and then click on insert. The dynamic field is inserted into the table cell as expected, Save the page, and test in browser.
    The browser call the cases list but fails to display the values of the Name column. The Name column is simply empty.
    This issue creates a huge problem that makes our application too difficult to use.
    What are we doing wrong?
    Please help.

    1.     Start transaction PM01, Create Infotype, by entering the transaction code.
    You access the Create Infotype screen.
    2.     Choose List Screen.
    3.     In the Infotype no. field, enter the four-digit number of the infotype you want to create.
    When you specify the infotype number, please remember to enter any leading zeros.
    4.     In the Screen Number field, enter the screen number of the list screen you want to enhance.
    5.     Choose Create.
    The Dictionary: Initial screen appears:
    6.     Create the list screen structure.
    7.     Choose Activate.
    8.     Return to the Enhance List Screen in the Enhance Infotypes transaction (PM01).
    9.     Choose Create All.
    The additional fields are displayed on the list screen, however, they contain no data.
    The fields can be filled in the FORM routine FILL-LISTSTRUCT in the generated program ZPnnnn00. The FORM routine is called for each data record in the list.
    Structure ZPLIS is identified when it is generated with a TABLES statement in the program ZPnnnn00.
    The fields can be filled from the Pnnnn structure or by reading text tables.

    I assume that you want to display the sequence number of each order in the mid and lower graphic panel, is that ?? And be able to sort order based in this field ?

    Go to list Profile: SAPSFCI001
    Goto Profile for list variant: SAPSFCD001
    Check also the profile for evaluation;
    Subprofile for displayed fields: SAPSFCF0
    Subprofile for sort criteria: SAPSFCS0
    make the required changes, adding Sequence as field
    I would suggest to create a complete set of new Z profiles.

    I agree with Brij, one multiple-selection list box is associated with one list field, we cannot use the one multiple selection list box value for other multiple selection list boxes, we need to create multiple choices for each multiple-selection list box

  • Creation of drop down for a field which is created using otr

    Hi experts
    I have a requirement wherein i have to create a dropdown for a field which is added using otr (online text repository).
    When i did an F2 on the field on the UI i found that it had no context node and attribute and the view in the component workbench did not have a configuration also. The coding for that field is done in the htm page of that view using otr.
    For this field i need to create a dropdown (the dropdown values will be fixed). I thought it would be better to code in the method do_init_context.
    Request you to help me out with the code for this requirement as i do not have any idea with regard to otr.

    1.You need to maintain a page attribute(dd_list_type) which is of table type to the htm page of your view.
    2.Then in the set_models method of your view controller add the following code:
    * Put the data into the view attribute
      view->set_attribute(
            name   = 'dd_list_type'        
            value  = lt_list_type ).
    You can add OTR text list to the internal table lt_list_type.
    3.Then add the following code to .htm
    * ADDITIONAL CODING IN VIEW
