Listing New Objects Like views and tables

Hi...
Are we able to use SELECT statement to get a list of objects like tables or views which created in a given time frame ?
For example, since OCT 2010...
Thanks.

hi,
these objects are depend on your interest.
actually there are three types of tables which stores the information about objects:
1. user_objects: which contains all the objects that are owned by the owner of the schema.
2. all_objects: this shows you all the objects that are acccesible to you, i.e. may be you can have access on some other user's objects.
3. dba_objects: which shows the objects in the database.

  • How to dump your database including other objects like views, sequence, etc

    hi.
is it possible to generate a sql file that contains your database structure including the values in it and other objects. I have tried generating just the tables and that's the only way I know to dump a database using jdeveloper. but is there a way to generate a sql file with your db structure and also other objects like views, triggers, sequences and etc.
    thanks.. :D

You may need to use utility(which may come with your DB) for creating DB dump

As per my knowledge goes, We can see from Administrator which Folder is associated with a Workbook. Else you may have to manually open each and every workbook and look for the objects.

  • Difference between Database view and Table

    Hi there,
Can anyone tell me the difference between Database view and Table.
Will the Database view query be more faster than a database table?

Tables and database views can be defined in the ABAP Dictionary.
These objects are created in the underlying database with this definition. Changes in the definition of a table or database view are also automatically made in the database.
Data from several tables can be combined in a meaningful way using a view (join).
You can also hide information that is of no interest to you (projection) or only display
those data records that satisfy certain conditions (selection).
Database views implement an inner join. You only get those records which have an
entry in all the tables included in the view.
in views db modifications are not possible
views only contain data at run time
    when they consult the database
in case of views the join definitions are already sstored in the database itself
whereas join as open sql is a query to oracle  database as similar select statements
Views are optimized by SAP and stored in the repository while Joins
are in reports that needs to be compiled at every execution

  • Help! - XSU, object-relational views and chaching

I'm working with Oracle's SQL utility XSU using the PL/SQL API (xmlgen package) to generate XML from object-relational views in Oracle 8.1.7.
Sometimes when I change the definition of the view or the objects the view is based on the changes seem not be be reflected in the generated output. I'm getting errors for datatypes I've changed (Java still wants the "old" datatype) or the XML tag generated still reflects the old column name of the object. I get the new definition when I restart the database but that's not really a workable option.
I suppose the objects/view or something else must be cached somewhere.
Does anyone know what is going on?
    Where is this stuff cached?
Can I somehow flush the cache?
Can I turn the cache off ? (might be useful for a development environment)
    Any help'd be appreciated!

    Peter,
Glad to see you took my advice and posted your question over here. Although I am a frequent user of the Oracle usenet groups, I have found that this is a much better place to get help with Spatial. My experiences suggest that the population of people using spatial is small--and of them the ones that really know alot are few and far between. I can only claim to be in the former group.
As far as your problem goes--this is probably something you've already considered--is there a way to model the data such that you don't have to replicate the geometry components? Another option would be to handle the replication without using snapshots. Examples would be to export the data and then ftp/copy it to the target machines and import it. If you need real-time replication you could experiment with triggers that execute INSERTs/UPDATEs/DELETEs on the remote databases. This of course has its own issues--but you're going to end up with some sort of compromise no matter how you slice this.
Of course you could use the relational model. I have never used it so I'm hard pressed to give any advice on it. As I posted on the usenet board, it is heading for desupport in 9i Release 2 according to the documentation available. So if you go relational you'll eventually have to migrate to object/relational. I'm not sure how automatic (or non-automatic) that process is. Hopefully someone on here will have some more concrete advice on that.
    Good luck.
    Matt.

  • New User Database schema and table name

When i create a new user in Oracle Webcenter Spaces 11g, I am not able to get the name of the database schema and table, where it is stored. Any insight on this will be very helpful.

WebCenter (and WebCenter spaces) uses an 'identity store' instead of database schema for storing user information - in an 'out of the box' installation, users are maintained through an embedded WebLogic LDAP store.
See the Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle WebCenter, p. 34-2.
At the end of section 34.4.1:
WebCenter Spaces supports self-registration. When new WebCenter users
self-register, they create their own login and password and a new user account is
created in the identity store. See also, Section 34.4, "Allowing Self-Registration".

  • Completely new to lab view and need to get some stop watch help please

OK I am new to lab view so please be patient with me. I have a need for a stop watch that is triggered to start when two voltage values differ by more than 0.110V and then stop counting when they return to within 0.110v my goal is to capture the total amount of time the two voltages differ and record it along with the rest of the data is this possible and how would I do it? Thanks I am running 8.5

thanks for the quick response but thats not really enough info to help me as I am very very unfamiliar with lab view and have only been using it for a few days(mainly just plugging in copied sections) so hopefully someone can give me a little more help. But the good news is I am now looking into taking one of the Lab view courses but that probably won't help me with this problem this week. thanks again for your help
For starters, try to write the name correctly. It is LabVIEW, not lab view.
Seriously though, your best way of learning to is try some things yourself first. Look through the examples that ship with LabVIEW for the components Raven suggested (while loops, shift registers, etc.) We could give you a working example but you will learn far more by trying things for yourself. As suggested, try a few things and then post what you have done and what you are having trouble with. From there we can answer your questions rather than just do it for you.

  • Old Socket A motherboards and new cards like 7800GS and 6800GS

Me and my girlfriend have the systems that are writen in my signature and the 2 comps work fine and no problem there but i would like to try and upgrade the graphic cards a bit so i heard that they hade done new versions of 6800 and 7800 for agp8x and they are called 6800GS and 7800GS and i was thrilled  and i was almost ready to buy one 7800GS for me and one for my girlfriend when i read on the net that there is a risk that the card wont work on my computer cause my old socket a board chip wont work with the new style of graphics card but i wonder we all ready run with the 6600 cards and arent they from the new line of graphic cards ??
So my big question is are there any type of risk that a new 7800GS wont work on my MSI K7N2 DELTA2 Platinum MS-6570 motherboard ?
It would be lovley if it could work cause then i can rest my wallet a while longer before i buy new cpu and motherboard etc cause the system i have now works more then fine for DoD:s, CS:s, Quake4, WoW etc etc.
I would be glad if some one could help me with this.

Before you go SLI you should read up on Crossfire.   Yes I'm an ATI fan, no I don't think you should pick ATI if you are stuck on Nvidia.    But if you want the best bang for the buck the X1800/X1900 on ATI Crossfire Boards are smoking everything Nvidia has on the market and expected to burn the next series of chips they release also.  Then the R600 is expected to compete with the G80.
And no, not trying to turn this into an Nvidia/ATI war.  I just think people should do as much research as they can before choosing technologies.  And, if they aren't a diehard fan of one or the other, go with the one that can offer the best performance.

  • Who can help to solve this question on MATERIALIZED VIEW and table?thanks

    Hi,dear all.
If there is a MV with the same name as a table and they both exist in the same schema .
    e.g: MV : test123 and table : test123 (they have same name) exist in schema : schema123.
when I run a sql : select * from schema123.test123; , what's the result of the execution?? MV or table which of them's data are populated???
    thanks in advance!

  • Question on MATERIALIZED VIEW and table

    HI
there are table (name is test123) and MATERIALIZED VIEW (name also is test123) stored in the same schema (name is schema123).
If I run sql : select from schema123.test123;*
I wanna know the result data I get is data of table test123 or MATERIALIZED VIEW test123, which one of them?
    Thanks in advance!

    What is your database version?
How did you even manage to create two objects with the same name?
As I know, it is impossible, oracle will throw errors like below:
    SQL> create table FOO (str varchar2(5), num number(3,0));
    Table created.
    SQL> CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW FOO
      2  BUILD DEFERRED
      3  REFRESH COMPLETE ON DEMAND
      4  enable query rewrite as
      5  select SUM(NUM)
      6  from FOO GROUP BY STR;
    from FOO GROUP BY STR
    ERROR at line 6:
ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object

  • Materialized view and Table

    Dear Friends,
    One quick question ..
If the table name and materialized view name is same does truncating the data from table truncates materialized view too ?
    Thanks/

    CREATE TABLE "ABBREVIATION"
    "ABBREVIATIONID" VARCHAR2(36 BYTE),
    "ABBREVIATIONCODE" VARCHAR2(30 BYTE),
    "ABBREVIATIONTEXT" VARCHAR2(128 BYTE),
    "CREATIONDATE" DATE,
    "CREATEDBYLOGINID" VARCHAR2(36 BYTE),
    "LASTMODIFIEDDATE" DATE,
    "LASTMODIFIEDBYLOGINID" VARCHAR2(36 BYTE),
CONSTRAINT "PK_ABBREVIATION1" PRIMARY KEY ("ABBREVIATIONID") TABLESPACE "KUMAR" ENABLE
CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW "ABBREVIATION" ("ABBREVIATIONID", "ABBREVIATIONCODE", "ABBREVIATIONTEXT", "CREATIONDATE", "CREATEDBYLOGINID", "LASTMODIFIEDDATE", "LASTMODIFIEDBYLOGINID") TABLESPACE "KUMAR" NEVER REFRESH
    AS
    SELECT "ABBREVIATION"."ABBREVIATIONID" "ABBREVIATIONID",
    "ABBREVIATION"."ABBREVIATIONCODE" "ABBREVIATIONCODE",
    "ABBREVIATION"."ABBREVIATIONTEXT" "ABBREVIATIONTEXT",
    "ABBREVIATION"."CREATIONDATE" "CREATIONDATE",
    "ABBREVIATION"."CREATEDBYLOGINID" "CREATEDBYLOGINID",
    "ABBREVIATION"."LASTMODIFIEDDATE" "LASTMODIFIEDDATE",
    "ABBREVIATION"."LASTMODIFIEDBYLOGINID" "LASTMODIFIEDBYLOGINID"
    FROM "ABBREVIATION" "ABBREVIATION";
If I create a mv with a differnent name than that of a table does the truncation of data in table results in truncation of MV too ?

  • Indexes, Clusters, Views and Table Size

    Hi
Anyone can kindly tell me how to check the size of tables,
indexs, cluster and views? what are the commands to check the
    size? Thank you so much!
    Xiong

I believe you just need to query
    user_segments,dba_segments,all_segments, Whichever you have
    access to.
    SELECT segment_name,segment_type,bytes/1024 "KB",extents
    FROM
    user_segments
    where segment_type in ('TABLE','INDEX','CLUSTER');
I don't think views take up any storage aside from their
definition in the Data Dictionary. Views are Logical.

  • Create web template according workbook - like view and query?

    Hi,
Is it possible generate automaticaly (or manualy) web template according workbook. I can create templates in designer only for query or view but not workbooks.
    <param name="TEMPLATE_ID" value="NAME_WORKBOOK"/> DOESNT WORK
    THANKS

    Hi Zdenek,
this is technical not possible, because this is a totally different technology. May you can achieve this with a lot of ABAP Coding. First you need to know which queries are in the workbook. You can get this with Funtion Module:
    RRMX_WORKBOOK_QUERIES_GET
Now you must create a WebTemplate:
May you do that in ABAP two. Create a big string with all the tags the webapplication designer creates normally. After that you must store that template to database:
The ABAP OO CLass CL_rsz_www_db_interface has a methode called SET_template. I recommend to record a trace with transaction rsrtrace, to see what kind of parameters are necessary to store a template to database. After that you can execute the newly created template in browser.
But i do not exactly know why you want to do this stuff.
And it is definately not recommended to do such things.
    best regards

  • Possibility of new streamer like Youtube and Netflix?

    Hello,
I am wondering if there is a possibility of getting the video of website like tou.tv (french) on my apple tv?
    Thank you

Such selections at this point are fully controlled by Apple. So they won't appear unless Apple negotiates a deal and releases the equivalent of an App. I would not hold my breath! ;-(
However, rumor is that the Apple TV will eventually have an App Store of its own to add programs. At that point, maybe more sources will become available.
