Live Office SP3.4/Office 2010 - Live Office objects disappear on conversion

I am testing Live Office XI 3.1 FP3.4 on a Windows 7 laptop with Office 2010 installed and have a question.
I take an Excel 2003 file (XLS) file that has Live Office connections and open it in Office 2010. Then I save as an XLSX file. While saving I get a message that states:
"The name, [1]_1_CRADDIN_DataGrid, either conflicts with a valid range reference of is invalid for Excel. The name has been replaced with 11__1_CRADDIN_DataGrid. You may still need to manually update any references to this name used in VBA code or as text arguements in functions. You must close and reopen the workbook before these changes take effect."
I complete the save then close and reopen the file. When I go check for my Live Office objects, they seem to have disappeared (meaning I right click on what used to be a Live Office object, but I no longer see Live Office on the popup menu).
Can't I convert my old data models to the new excel format? I am doing this because the XLF is taking a LONG time to open in Xcelsius 2008 SP4 with multiple server busy messages. I thought updating the Excel file might speed things up but since the Live Office objects are disappearing from my spreadsheet this is not working as expected.
If any pointers can be given that would be great. If I have missed any documenation that may help me out, please let me know. I checked the Live Office documentation and the highest thing for XI 3.1 I see is SP3, no FP3.4 (or even SP4).

How do I know if Office is 64 bit? If I go to the control panel, I see that "Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010" is installed.
There are no named ranges in my sheet.

    Hi Raghavendar,
    Generally, when you install Lync 2013 in the computer with Office 2010, a Lync Meeting Add-in will be installed and enabled in Outlook 2010. Please follow these steps to check it:
    1. In Outlook, click the File tab, click Options, and then click
    Add-Ins.
    2. Please take one of the following actions:
    If the add-in is in the Inactive Application Add-ins list, follow these steps:
    a. In the Manage drop-down list at the bottom of the dialog box, click
    COM Add-ins, and then click Go.
    b. Click to select the check box next to the add-in, and then click OK.
    The New Online Meeting button should now be available in
    Calendar View, and the Online Meeting button should be available when you create a new calendar item.
    If the add-in is in the Disabled Application add-ins list, follow these steps:
    a. In the Manage drop-down list at the bottom of the dialog box, click
    Disabled Items, and then click Go.
    b. Select the add-in, and then click Enable.
    c. Restart Outlook, and then verify that the add-in is displayed in the
    Add-ins dialog box.
    The New Online Meeting button should now be available in
    Calendar View, and the Online Meeting button should now be available when you create a new calendar item.
    3. In Event Viewer, view the Application log to see whether an error was logged for Outlook, for Lync 2013, the Lync Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013.

  • Connect to MS Office button is Grayed out - for both Office 2010 and Office 2013

    Hi
    I have recently implemented Sharepoint 2013 Standard for a customer.
    I have got everything to work so far except one important thing, from any Ms Word or Ms Excel application save as SharePoint is missing. While having a closer look I noticed that Connect to Office button is grayed out in SharePoint.
    During the initial setup, I created the site collection using Team Site template under collaboration. All researching is pointing me to user profile setup with my site host under enterprise section in site collection.
    I have confirmed that the clients are opening sharepoint from 32bit browser and they have sharepoint handler add on enabled in IE. I have also followed the below guide
    https://mywinsysadm.wordpress.com/2011/07/28/sharepoint-connect-to-office-for-new-document-creation/
    However, I cant actually see any user profile feature as the guide suggests, I can only see "create personal site" under manage profile service section.
    I have searched & searched and I am not finding any solutions to this problem.
    can someone point me to the right direction please? is it purely because the site collection is not a My site Host?
    All I need is for users with Office 2010 or Office 2013 to be able to save a document directly in sharepoint.
    Note - Connect is outlook is working fine though.

    Hi jawad,
    As navigating to a SharePoint Library and clicking 'Connect to Office', the link to document library is added to
    http://[mysites]/_layouts/15/MyQuickLinks.aspx. So, you need to make sure you have your personal site.
    After creating your personal site, please visit
    http://[mysites]/_layouts/15/MyQuickLinks.aspx, check whether it can open well.
    More information about creating MySite, you can refer to:
    http://blog.sharedove.com/adisjugo/index.php/2012/07/25/visual-guide-setting-up-my-sites-in-sharepoint-2013/
    Then go to IE Options->Programs->manage add-ons, make sure all add-ons related to SharePoint are enabled.
    Here is an article, it may be useful for you:

    Just to be clear, Office 2010 is for Windows.  Office 2011 is for Mac.  If you actually are trying to install Office 2010, you'll need to have installed Windows on your Mac either through Boot Camp or in a virtual machine.

  • Windows 8 and MS Office Home and Student 2010 Compatibility...

    I am looking at buying the HP P7-1414 desktop.  I currently own MS Office Home and Student 2010.  Will my MS be compatible with the Widows 8 on the P7?

    Hello celliottii!
    Welcome to the forum! That’s a great question. While I was pretty confident that Office 2010 would be compatible with Windows 8, I still wanted to make sure for you. I checked with Microsoft and verified that it indeed is compatible. Please feel free to reach out if you have any more questions!

  • I just bought MS Office Home and Student 2010 to replace Starter version but I can't find it and Starter is still there.

    I have an HP Pavilion g7-1070us Notebook PC Running Windows 7. I came with Office Starter preloaded. Today I bought Office Home and Student 2010 and downloaded it online (or so I think). Now I can't find the 2010 version and the Starter version is still on my computer just as before. I contacted MicroSoft online and they suggested I either I install Internet Explored 9 or contact my browser (Foxfire) for help.

  • Trouble installing Microsoft Office home and student 2010

    Hi,
    I'm new to Apple, i'm trying to insatl Microsoft office home and student 2010 onto my mac but it keeps saying "you can't open the application "setup.exe" because microsoft windows does not support the application"
    could anyone help?
    Kind regards
    Jordan

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
    It looks like you are trying to install Office 2010 on OS X. That's not possible because that version is for Windows, so you have to install Windows on your Mac. As you are going to use it only for Microsoft Office, download Parallels, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox, and install Windows on a virtual machine.
    Another option is to purchase Office for Mac > http://www.microsoft.com/mac

  • ITunes10.5.2  and MS Office Home and Business 2010 (running on MS Windows 7 32-bit SP1): can you help me please?

    I've a PC running W7 32-bit SP1 and Office Home and Business 2010. The issue is that iTunes last version (10.5.2) doesn't work with Outlook 2010 and vice versa. With iTunes installed Outlook 2010 doesn't open itself.
    No error message, but the program doesn't open.
    I tried the restore, but nothing even so.
    Either-or: or iTunes or Outlook. It's not possible. This is a seriou bug
    I've really tried  all suggestions found in this bolg, but in vain.
    Can someone from Apple help me to fix this bug please?

    Hi guys, thanks for your responses.
    What is this vboxnetflt for? Which modules are the essential modules for virtualbox? What I mean is: do those nice features like mouse point integration, full screen supportment etc... rely on vboxnetflt and vboxnetadp?
    What I have in my configuration file is:
    MOD_AUTOLOAD="yes"
    #MOD_BLACKLIST=() #deprecated
    MODULES=(vboxdrv vboxnetflt vboxnetadp)
    I think vboxnetadp is used for networkiing. and vboxnetflt sounds like network filtering stuff. Can someone please confirm me? I think the problem was the sequence of upgrading. Firstly it updated the kernel and then installed the new version of virtualbox. I think if it could install the new version of virtualbox first and then the kernel, it would go without any problem, just my opinion as I said.
    Let's keep tracked on this. Maybe someone will find a solution before virtualbox developers :-)

  • How to use Powershell to set delegate for user mailbox in Exchange 2010 and Office 365

    Hello,
    Can you please tell me if I can set delegate for user mailbox in Exchange 2010 or Office 365 using Powershell?
    If I can, then how can I do that? (which Powershell commands for setting the delegate?)
    Many thanks, and have a good day!

    Hi,
    If you wanted to add a delegate to possiblly a large number of users or you do this during mailbox provisioning. So the following script will use
    impersonation to access another users mailbox and add a delegate.
    $mbtoDelegate = "[email protected]"
    $delegatetoAdd = "[email protected]"
    $dllpath = "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange\Web Services\1.0\Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.dll"
    [void][Reflection.Assembly]::LoadFile($dllpath)
    $service = new-object Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ExchangeService([Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ExchangeVersion]::Exchange2007_SP1)
    $windowsIdentity = [System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity]::GetCurrent()
    $sidbind = "LDAP://<SID=" + $windowsIdentity.user.Value.ToString() + ">"
    $aceuser = [ADSI]$sidbind
    $service.AutodiscoverUrl($aceuser.mail.ToString())
    $service.ImpersonatedUserId = new-object Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ImpersonatedUserId([Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ConnectingIdType]::SmtpAddress,
    $mbtoDelegate);
    $mbMailbox = new-object Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.Mailbox($mbtoDelegate)
    $dgUser = new-object Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.DelegateUser($delegatetoAdd)
    $dgUser.ViewPrivateItems = $false
    $dgUser.ReceiveCopiesOfMeetingMessages = $false
    $dgUser.Permissions.CalendarFolderPermissionLevel = [Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.DelegateFolderPermissionLevel]::Editor
    $dgUser.Permissions.InboxFolderPermissionLevel = [Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.DelegateFolderPermissionLevel]::Reviewer
    $dgArray = new-object Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.DelegateUser[] 1
    $dgArray[0] = $dgUser
    $service.AddDelegates($mbMailbox, [Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.MeetingRequestsDeliveryScope]::DelegatesAndMe, $dgArray);
    Hope this helps.

  • Acrobat X Pro - PDFMAKER Office COM  in Access 2010

    Hi,
    I have Office 2013 and Access 2010 installed on my computer. I cannot get the PDFMAKER plugin to work with Access 2010. I tried to manually register the DLL and enabling the plugin. Is this becuase I have MS Office 2013 installed alongside Access 2010. Any info would be great since we run reports in Access and need to ability to merge all the pages in the reports. This was working on another machine that only had office 2010.
    Nick

    Don't remember if it was AA X or AA XI when support for ACCESS ended. That may be the issue. The compatibility chart at Compatible web browsers and PDFMaker applications suggests that ACCESS does not work for OFFICE 2013 and PDF Maker, but does for ACCESS 2010 on AA X (only version of Acrobat that worked with ACCESS 2010. AA XI does not work with ACCESS. Since you mention both OFFICE 2013 and ACCESS 2010, there may be an issue with 2010 really being the application running (check the help file for About Access for the version). Of course, Acrobat may be confused too, so you may have to activate the addon for ACCESS 2010.

  • Certificates for Office 365 Hybrid Exchange 2010 Exchange Online v15

    Certificates for Office 365 Hybrid Exchange 2010 Exchange Online v15
    We need to set up a hybrid server to allow us to begin moving mailboxes to Exchange Online. We created a new Server 2012 R2 server with Exchange 2013 SP1 to act as our Hybrid server. Reading the literature leaves me with questions about what
    certificates I need.  My understanding is that the certificates in play on the on-premise Exchange 2010 servers don't need to be changed.
    I've looked at the TechNet article "Certificate requirements for hybrid deployments"
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh563848(v=exchg.150).aspx
    Certificate requirements for the new Exchange 2013 SP1 server are still unclear to me, I think the new server needs a SAN certificate with:
    Hybridserver.domain.edu
    autodiscover.domain.edu
    EWS.domain.edu
    Can anyone clarify?

    Cert is required only if you want to deploy ADFS for SSO.
    Otherwise you can use your existing Cert for all the Services
