LiveCycle Form Email a PDF with modified Body (GER)

Hallo
TopmostSubform.P1.LEITWEG.Schaltfläche1::click - (JavaScript, client)
var Mailto = "[email protected]";
var Betreff = "hallo";
var Nachricht = "Verteiler ergänzen\rBei F6-F12, HR CB ([email protected]) aus Verteiler löschen\rName MA im Betreff ergänzen\rAbsender nicht vergessen\rDiese Zeilen löschen\r\rWir bitten Sie, die entsprechenden Massnahmen einzuleiten und danken Ihnen für Ihre Bemühungen.\r\rFreundliche Grüsse";
var CC = "[email protected]";
var BCC = "";
var Mail = "mailto:" + Mailto + "?Subject=" + Betreff + "&Body=" + Nachricht + "&cc=" + CC + "&bcc=" + BCC;
event.target.submitForm({
cURL: Mail,
bEmpty: true,
cSubmitAs: "XML"
Kontrolltyp-->Absenden anstelle von Normal
AbsendenTab-->
Absenden an URL: mailto:[email protected]
Gruss Sky

Thank you for responding.
I don't know much about Dreamweaver, but I did what you suggested.  I used the "cross media export" button and exported the document as HXTML/Dreamweaver.
I then opened the file with Dreamweaver.  I could see all my images so I just clicked on each one and did Insert/Hyperlink.  I entered the URL (the images all link to other web pages) in the "Link" field and clicked Ok.
I'm not sure how I should export this file or if I've done everything I need to.
Again, my goal is to send this document in the body of an email to all of our clients.  And the links within the file need to be active.
I'm attaching 2 files here.  The first is the ID file with links in place.  The 2nd is the DW file exported as XHTML.
Whatever anyone can do to help me would  be so awfully appreciated.  Thank you in advance for any support you can offer me!

  • Merging Livecycle Forms into 1 PDF

    Can someone please tell me how to merge Livecycle forms into one PDF! when i merge the forms only the last form has the generate data.

    Initially I started trying to create a form that would flow on to the next page in LiveCycle. After many frustrating days and hours I decided to populate each page individually. When I populate the forms in ColdFusion the individual PDFs in which I want to merge together both contain the generated data. When I merge the pdfs into one I lost the data from the first page. I have seen previous posts regarding the inability to merge interactive forms created in LiveCycle with ColdFusion, I was curious if there was another way I could accomplish with for example with JavaScript etc. Any help or suggestions regarding this matter are extremely appreciated. THANKS!

  • HT2506 How can I open uscis.gov/files/form/n-400.pdf with Preview?

    Problem (A)
    When I try to open some PDFs, such as uscis.gov/files/form/n-400.pdf with OS X Preview, I get the error message:
    "Please wait...
    If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document.
    You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows®, Mac, or Linux® by visiting http://www.adobe.com/go/reader_download.
    For more assistance with Adobe Reader visit http://www.adobe.com/go/acrreader.
    Windows is either a registered trademark or a trademark of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and/or other countries. Mac is a trademark of Apple Inc., registered in the United States and other countries. Linux is the registered trademark of Linus Torvalds in the U.S. and other countries."
    Apple presents Preview as being a better substitute for Adobe Reader, but in this case it does not work at all. (I think this may relate to PDFs with entry fields in them.)
    Problem (B)
    If I set the documents having this problem to be opened with Adobe Reader instead of Preview, the next time I save them from Adobe Reader, they are reset to open with Preview again.
    I thus have to always do Open with… for them, or else set all my PDF documents to be opened with Adobe Reader.
    Can anyone offer any workarounds for problem (A) or (B)?
    Does anyone know Apple's position on problem (A)? Will they eventually fix Preview so that it opens PDF documents such as the one above, or will Preview only ever work on a sub-set of PDF documents?
    If Adobe is refusing to provide Apple the information needed to open certain types of PDF documents, does anyone know Adobe's position on this?
    Thank you

    What version O/S do you have?  10.7.4 is latest.
    I have something for you to try.  I'm reading that Lion supports two different types of file-type association.  That is, in addition to a global ".PDF opens with Preview" you can also have a file-by-file setting to over-ride the global one and have it open is something else - like Adobe Reader.
    So, how about you test this out to see if its true?
    First chainge your global .PDF back to Preview:
    http://osxdaily.com/2009/10/25/change-file-associations-in-mac-os-x/
    Or reset everything  back to defaults:
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1282118
    Then when you come accross something that won't open in Preview, use this to set just that file to open in Adobe Reader:
    http://osxdaily.com/2011/08/15/easily-set-file-association-in-mac-os-x-lion-usin g-always-open-with-app/
    There is also a utility for controlling the file-type settings - but - I don't know if it supports this new feature:
    http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/14618/rcdefaultapp
    (if this a new feature and hasn't been around all along and I just didn't know about it)

  • Batch Convert .msg emails to PDF with Acrobat

    Seem to be having a problem converting a large amount of emails to PDF using the Acrobat plug-in in Outlook 2007. Following are system setup:
    Office 2007
    XP Pro
    Acrobat 9 Standard
    We have a large volume of emails stored in Worldox GX2 and I want to convert them to PDF from Outlook. I check the files out of Worldox to a local folder and drag and drop the .msg files to a folder in Outlook. When I try to select any number of them and then convert to PDF I get the following error:
    Details of Email to PDF conversion:
    Failed to Convert:
    From: , Subject: , Date: , Status: Not an email message
    This happens even if I try to convert just one email. HOWEVER, if I open any given email then by double-clicking it in the outlook folder and then file-convert to PDF, it converts fine. What?!?!
    Any help would be appreciated!!!

    Thanks,
    I just found that out, too.
    What I'd like to find out is how to fix this.

  • PDF form with one submit button that prints form and sanves PDF with data with a unique file name

    We have a long medical form that patients can fill out at kiosks as they wait to see a doctor. We want one button so that the patient can print out the form with one click (and finish filling it out by hand if it's not finished already) and the same button click will save the form with a unique file name (using last name, first name, date, and/or email address so that the identity of the person who filled out the form will be readily apparent to anyone who wants to grab the user's responses later). Is Acrobat capable of doing something like this? LiveCycle Designer maybe? And if we continue with the PDF form and add a submit button, is there a way to program the button click to print and to save?
    Thank you in advance of any suggestions that might accomplish this task.

    I am not sure about the print, but it can probably be done -- possibly with a bit of JavaScript. As to the saving of the form, that is not reasonable at a kiosk. You would want the data submitted to a server (particularly with patient data), no e-mail or accessible drive. You can collect the data and put it in a database or import it to the form for printing yourself.

  • Lock form & email as PDF Javascript

    Hi Guys,
    I am using Adobe Acrobat X and creating a Forms natively. We do not use LiveCycle.
    So I have created a form with several fields, buttons a date picker - some of which I have found online.
    The forms that I will be creating will be placed on the Intranet of the Organisation that I work for.
    So what I need is for our users to fill out the form online. Press the Submit button. When they press submit the form must lock all the contents. We do not want to contents edited when it reaches its destination. The submit button will also call up the default email program, populate the TO: field with a specified email address and the Subject field with specified text.
    The form must arrive at its destination in PDF format.
    Been stuck on this one for a while. I used some simple html with the submit button for a while and that mostly worked except the part about locking the form.
    So if someone can java me up a solution i would greatly appreciate it.
    I have tried a few of the solutions a few solutions from the lifecycle partof the forum but apparently the java is different!
    Many thanks,
    Nick

    In that case you can only set the fields as read-only, not truly flatten
    them. Here you'll find a script I posted that will do that:
    http://acrobatusers.com/forum/forms-acrobat/i-need-users-fill-form-and-save-it-then-it-sho uldnt-be-anymore-editable/
    Regarding submitting the file by email and pre-populating the various
    fields, see this:
    http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/dynamically-setting-submit-e-mail-address
    The variabt you should use is mailDoc().

  • Archiving entourage emails as pdf with applescript

    Hello, I would like to archive all my emails in a flexible format that doesnt need entourage to read them. I would like to save all my emails in entourage to PDF. does anyone have a script that can do this? I can do this individaully by just selecting 'print' on each email and the selecting save as PDF but this is very time consuming!!! smile
    I would also like to find a script that can save all my attachments on my emails in entourage to a folder!
    Can anyone help!!!
    Thank you for your time
    Kindest Regards
    Carl

    While PDF is cross-platform, I'm not quite sure how "flexible" it is.
    I would suggest you do use Entourage's format because it is flexible. By this I mean that if you drag a message out of the Entourage window onto your Desktop then the file that it creates is in .mbox format. This format is an Internet standard (see Wikipedia for more information http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mbox).
    If you really want to stick with a "flexible" file format, consider plain text or maybe RTF. Most any text editor such as MS Word, TextEdit or BBEdit will still be able to open these files in the future.
    Hope this helps! bill

  • Form conversion to PDF with Chinese characters

    Hello.
    I have a Sap script form and it has Chinese characters in the title and footer.  It is converted to PDF then send it to email, at transaction SOST. The Chinese characters was replaced by '#'.
    Our basis tried to install the device driver for PDF stated in sap note 999712, but still it didn't correct the form's output in the PDF file.  The form is in ZH and the font used in the form is CNSONG.  The transactions was also executed during ZH logon.  Would anybody know a solution to this?
    Thanks in advance!

    Doray,
    For printing in PDF other than english characters we have to create new font .
    Go to SE73 and create new font family Named ZCOUR_I6 and then execute the report RSTXPDF2 where in select the optin for activity to be performed as READ and SAVE the font file.
    From control panel for to fonts and copy the COURIER NEW (TrueTYpe) font on to ur desktop .
    Upload the the same font file using RSTXPDF2 by specifying it in the file name.
    Then try to execute the tcode which u r usingh for converting the output to PDF and check whether the desired output has been converted.
    Hope things are little clear for you.

  • LiveCycle designer V7: Dynamic PDF with QR-Code barcode

    I want to include QR-Code barcode into my forms.
    When I try it, I only see a greyed area.
    Online product help, give us the supported barcode format.
    For QR-Code, I can read "hardware-rendered", could you please explain to me the signification? What do I need to effectly include QR-Code barcode into my dynamic PDF forms.
    Thank you for your help.

    I have read that some bar codes need to be printed by specific printers and those will show up as gray on screen. Code QR is a hardware barcode and is only supported by specific printers. (according to the help file) if you want to see the code on the page you may want to try PDF 417, another 2D barcode, which can hold up to 1800 ASCII characters.

  • Using Fill & Sign on Flat Forms Results in PDFs with Messed Up Entries, How to Prevent This?

    Hi,
    I am hoping you can help me out here:
    Adobe advises to use the "Fill & Sign" function to fill in a "flat" PDF form. (Acrobat Help | Fill and sign PDF forms)
    However, doing so results in a filled-in PDF that can be printed OK: (the below screenshot is from the print, which I rescanned)
    But opening the PDF again, it looks like this: (I just lost an hour of work as I did not print the first try, it happened again on second try, but this time I had printed)
    Why is this happening? How can I prevent this from happening? What are alternative (digital) ways to filling in a flat PDF form / what is the most effective way of doing this?
    Thank you for all ideas!
    (latest Adobe Acrobat, 11.0.10, on latest Mac OS X, 10.10.3)

    Hi,
    The ",screenshot is from Adobe Acrobat (saved and reopened the same file), it also looks the same in Preview and in Chrome.
    The font is (should be) Helvetica, it is one of the four fonts listed on the top of the alphabetical list of all fonts (which I take as "recommended"), and it was the pre-selected font.
    There are also line breaks in "messed up" PDF that I definitely did not type in...

  • Acroread 8.1.2 unable to process PDF 1.6 documents generated by Adobe LiveCycle Forms 7.0

    Our workflow uses LiveCycle Forms to generate PDF 1.6 documents with embedded JavaScript and XML. These PDFs work fine with Adobe Reader 8.1.2 on Windows; they display correctly, the interactive fields work as expected and the documents can be printed properly.
    However, acroread 8.1.2 on Solaris is not able to process the same documents correctly. When we run acroread headlessly as follows:
    cat xxx.pdf | acroread -toPostScript -level2 > xxx.ps
    the resulting PostScript file displays a message saying "To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrate to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html"
    I have confirmed that we are using the latest version of acroread for Solaris.
    Does anyone have any insight into why this message is being generated by acroread 8.1.2?
    edit: acroread is able to process other PDFs as above without problem. It only has problems with PDFs generated by LiveCycle Forms which include embedded JavaScript and XML.

    Neha,
    Thanks for the response.
    We are running acroread headlessly since it is on a remote server that we access via telnet. Without an XServer session, I can't tell whether acroread is able to read and display the PDF files normally. However, we can view the PDFs with Adobe Reader 8.1.2 on Windows and the acroread -toPostScript command-line that we are using does work properly with other PDFs.
    I will email you a copy of a problematic PDF shortly.

  • I have a form that i need to convert to a pdf with fields

    i am working on a form that will be used for registration. I created it in Publisher then saved it as a jpeg.  In order to be more efficient with collecting information, i need to save this form as a pdf with fields so it can be filled out online and perhaps saved and emailed back to me. Please help!!

    I am not sure Publisher was the best approach as there is no conversion from Publisher directly to the PDF format as there is with Word.
    You will Acrobat Standard or Professional to create PDF forms. There is a 30 day free trial of Acrobat Professional and after that period you need to either buy a copy of Professional or subscribe tot he cloud product. You could also uninstall the Professional version and buy or subscribe to the Standard version.
    Entire books have been written about creating forms with Acrobat.
    Once you acquire Acrobat, I would print the Publisher document to the Adobe PDF printer and then use Acrobat to add the form fields.
    You are also going to need to review how various computer systems work with PDF forms, which browsers work well with PDF forms, how the older versions or Acrobat/Reader work with forms, and email, and if any mobile device will be used how the different apps work or do not work with PDF forms.

  • Need to add flex grid in livecycle form to generate dynamic PDF

    Hi,
    not sure this is the right fourm or not, but I require a way to add flex data grid in my livecycle form to generate PDF containing flex grid.
    I tried adding a flex swf in Flash Field in Live cycle but it is giving me
    Error #2032: Stream Error. URL: file://PDFMedia026281/g/framework4.6.0.23201.swf
    I am new to this environement so any help would be great.

    Hi,
    with Designer ES3 (formerly know as ADEP Designer) you can use Flash files within XFA forms.
    Check Niall O'Donovan's article.
    He has prepared a nice example of using flash charts which can be manipulated at runtime.
