LMS 4.2 Xeon processor support

Does LMS 4.2 support Intel Xeon X7560 processor in Hyper-V environment?

LMS is supported on Hyper-V but we haven't seen many installations on that platform.
The documentation is a little bit ambiguous on this particular question but generally speaking LMS is not particular about the hardware underlying the OS as long as it meets or exceeds the minimum requirements.

Is it ok to leave my old photos in Aperature and start with new photos in Lightroom?  MacPro with 2 x 2.26 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processor, 6 GB memory, 1 TB harddrive?
Or should I transfer them to Lightroom?

That's really a personal preference. Support for Aperture is coming to an
end and you may find yourself unable to get to theses photos in the future
in the case of a HDD crash if you can't get the software to reinstall.
Faced with that prospect, I would probably put it on my list of things to
do when I am feeling really bored and looking for something to amuse myself
with. You can export your Aperture photos in their original format to a
folder on your desktop and then import them into Lightroom. Use the copy
option on the import to save the photos in a new folder within your
    Lightroom catalog.

  • Intel Xeon Processor E5-1680 v2  (25M Cache, 3.00 GHz)

    Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-1680 v2 (25M Cache, 3.00 GHz)
the maximum turbo frequency performance of this chip (as use in the new Mac Pro 8 core version i think) is 3.9GHz. How is this achieved through operating the system? i.e is it done through Mavericks?
    thanks

Thanks for the link.. Made an interesting read. However I am purchasing a MacPro for only 1 main reason:FCPX. FCPX seems to be one of the very few apps that can take advantage of the multiple primary processing cores as well the new GPU configuration. Having an 8 core (despite the 'only slightly' slower clock speeds), must surely be more advantageous than having 2 less processing core's processing multiple threads.
With the current lack of support for the nMP hardware, (and that's hardly surprising considering it's only just coming out), things can only get better for the nMP. Adobe (so I've heard) are already earmarking multiple GPU support etc.
What interest me from the article is that all the E5 processors have the same thermal design point rating - does this mean they all use the same amount of power under the same processing load? Or have I misunderstood this?
    Thanks.

  • D20 with Xeon Processor E5520 - Intel Turbo Boost

    Hi Eric,
E5520 CPU support "Intel® Turbo Boost Technology", how it work under D20 ? any s/w that we can monitor it ?
From the D20 BIOS seems do not have setting relate to "Turbo Boost" .....
Any idea that we can can know it will work under D20 ? or say under the O.S. ?
    Regards,
    Cody.
Moderator edit: Added detail to subject.

like i said, that's the only app i know about.   if it doesn't work with xeon processors then i can only suggest contacting intel and requesting an update.
to me, knowing what turbo boost is doing at all times would be like installing a tachometer on a toaster.   it'll be entertaining for the first few pieces of bread but eventually you'll get tired of watching your toast pop up.

  • Crystal Runtime for Xeon Processors

    Hi All
SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio: Updates & Runtime Downloads
I've been using the runtime from this post above (Support Pack 9 and 10)
Does anyone know if there is a separate runtime for Xeon processors?
    Thanks
    Hayden

    Hi Hayden,
    There are no saparate runtimes.
The document points to the MSI, MSMs and clickonce runtimes which are the only runtimes available which could be used for deployment.
As per supported platforms guide, Crystal Reports for Visual Studio is supported running on 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows running on x86 and x64 CPUs made by AMD and Intel.

  • MOVED: MSI Z77A-GD65 with Intel Xeon Processor E3-1245V2 - 3.4 GHz

This topic has been moved to Intel Core-iX boards.
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=162013.0

Is this to be a gaming compuer or server I am confused
    http://ark.intel.com/products/65729/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1245V2-8M-Cache-3_40-GHz
That mobo supports that cpu with the following bios:
    Xeon Ivy Bridge E3-1245V2 100 3.40 1M 8M E1 77 7751vA5.zip
So more than likely you will need a supported cpu to flash to that version for it to work.
If this is for gaming, there are better choices for the cpu though.
    Gaming:

As for the memory, we have seen the best results with corsair dominator or vengence memory.

  • Error:Crystal report Print option in xeon processor

i am using a server with windows 2008 server and xeon 5520 series processor. windows in 64 bit with 16 Gb of ram.
everything is working fine except the print option in crystal report..
i tried installing crystal report basic runtime but it says that it doesnt supprt xeon processor .
    kindly solve this issue .
    Thank you in advance

You'll have to supply a whole bunch more detailed info. Telling me that you have 2008 server and xeon 5520 series processor, windows in 64 bit is like telling your mechanic that you have a blue car with 4 wheels and it does not work. No info re. engine, of make or what the problem is... And with that info, you want your mechanic to fix the car...
    1) What CR / BO SDK are you using?
    2) what version of the above are you using?
    3) What updates for (1) above are you using?
    4) What development language are you using?
    5) How are you deploying the runtime for (1) above?
    6) What is the precise error message you are getting?
Think about the info I would need to accurately reproduce the issue. What info would probably be good to have?

It's a bad idea to post your email address - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove it. You should not expect people to email you - this is an open forum.
I'm afraid your Mac cannot be upgraded to Lion, and thus is not compliant with iCloud. The only option you have there is to set Mail up manually to access your iCloud email, but the other facilities won't work.

  • XEON processor and more...?

    Hi all  together,
I work with CS5.5 and mostly with Premiere and Encore. I will probably update this version to the newest one.
I bought three years ago a workstation with Intel i5 processor with Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit). I was / am absolutely not satisfied with performance of the PC.
    1) My first question is about cpu.
Now I'd like to buy a server/workstation with XEON processor. Because of high costs, I prefer to buy second hand XEON server/workstation. But I don't know exactly which XEON processor to be used with CS in a very good performance. Cany you suggest me a hardware?
    2) My second question is about Microsoft Hyper V and Terminal Server.
Do you have any experiences to use CS in a Hyper V and in a Terminal Server environment? Troubles?
Thanks for your answers in advance.

  • Multi-core processor support?

Hi, I was looking for multiple core processor support on the AIR runtime but found no information... What about it? Does the runtime take advantage of it automatically? If not, are there some guidelines to create software for AIR that can take advantage of this?

It is automatic. You only have one execution "thread" in AIR, but the runtime uses multiple threads under the covers. Note that Pixel Bender shaders do run on another thread, so that is one way to offload some heavy graphics or numeric processing (if it can be done in a shader program).

  • Is NI-DAQmx 7.3 compatible with XEON processor ?

I tried to install NI-DAQmx 7.3 on my PC with a XEON 3 GHz processor. After reboot, Windows XP does not start properly. So I suspect DAQmx 7.3 being NOT compatible with XEON processor.
Has someone the same problem ? Which solution ?

    Hello All,
The driver NI-DAQ 7.3 is compatible with Xeon processor 32 bit versions. But for now, no testing has been done on the specific system with the version EM64T of Xeon processor. I think that this is the source of your problem.
As a result, there may be incompatibilities between this new processor and our existing drivers.
The NI R&D works on this subject.

  • Photoshop Element 7 Multi Processor Support?

Will we have multiprocessor support across the entire feature set of PSE 7? I haven't seen that as part of the feature set of the new product. Today, we experience diminished functionality by having to turn off multi-processor support in order to get thumbnails to work. Just curious if that might have been included in the new product.

Paul posted his query before PSE 7 was released, but for future reference of people searching these forums:
PSE 7 fixes the notorious bug in PSE 6 in which thumbnails for raw photos were not correctly displayed on computers with multiple processors (e.g. hyperthreaded Pentiums or dual- or quad-core Duos).

  • Multi-processor support!

I must say that the only feature that will make me upgrade ever again from CS4 (or even to upgrade my MacPro) would be full multi-processor support.
Unfortunately, Adobe has been introducing new features that turn out to be imperfect and NEVER get updated or fixed any more.
Hoping for CS5 to come through!

You're right. What I meant was FULL multi-processor support.
Like saving and opening files, especially when saving large, multi-layered 16 bit files. Just tested it again - a file that is 2.91GB when opened in photoshop (which any file I work on typically is) takes 42 seconds to save as an 8 bit file and (after deleting layers to make it the same 2.91GB when open in photoshop in 16 bit format) takes 5min and 20 seconds to save in 16 bit while the activity monitor shows only one processor being utilized.
I would like to work more in 16 bit but it's not practical now as it takes too long for just the saving part.
At least it should be non-modal so that you could work on another image while others are being saved and/or opened.
There are also a few filters that do not use multiple processors - like the lens blur filter, which works amazingly well but makes me take a coffee break every time I use (especially when used with a large blur amount).

  • Intel Xeon Processor

I have an Intel Xeon Processor. Is it not possible then to run CS6 Design Standard on my computer. All other requirements seem to be fine. If CS6 will not run on an Intel Xeon Processor, is there a previous version that will?
And I have WIN 7 64 bit with sp1 which I feel could rais a problem with older versions?

Photoshop CS 6 has a requirement of
    Windows
    Intel® Pentium® 4 or AMD Athlon® 64 processor
Microsoft® Windows® XP* with Service Pack 3 or Windows 7 with Service Pack 1
    1GB of RAM
1GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on removable flash storage devices)
1024x768 display (1280x800 recommended) with 16-bit color and 512MB of VRAM
    OpenGL 2.0–capable system
    DVD-ROM drive
This software will not operate without activation. Broadband Internet connection and registration are required for software activation, validation of subscriptions, and access to online services.† Phone activation is not available.
Almost no one has a Pentium 4 chip. I would expect your computer to run CS 6 handily. The way to be sure is to download the trial software. If it installs you should be good to go. To the best of my knowledge the software will not install on computers that do not meet the minimum requirements.
