Load custom hierarchy (multiple ownership / parents)

Hi all
Lots of questions below, I just need some input on this..:) Thx. in advance..
I have a question regarding loading a custom Customer hierarchy from SAP CRM to SAP BW. The special thing about this hierarchy is that is a leaf (child) can have multiple parents. E.g.
- Customer C belongs to both Customer A and Customer B. (Shared ownership.)
- Furthermore I have the information that Customer A owns 40% of C and Customer B owns 60% of C.
Is this something that you see I can support in BW, by loading this hierarchy to 0CUSTOMER? Is this at all supported in BW to have leafs with multiple parents?
Let's say I have an infocube and I do not want the key figures for Customer C to sum up for all parents that owns this customer, but I still want to display the relations (e.g. display Customer C under both Customer A and B, but if you look at the result this should not add up twice). Furthermore do you know how I can connect the percentage to the specific relationship and show this in the report?
I have heard about this option called "Linked nodes", where the system creates a reference for a particular node to an original node. Thereby the possibility to display the subtree of a node multiple places in a hierarchy. But I do not know if this is supported for leafs as well?

No one?

  • Load Customer Hierarchy to BW

    Hi,
we created a Customer hierarchy in ERP (via transaction kes3). We already managed to create a datasource, wich delivers all data of the hierarchy. We can also replicate the data source in our BW system, but when creating an infopackage, we receive the error message "There are no hierarchies for this InfoSource in source system" (Message no. RSM383)
    Can anybody help us?
    Thanks,
    Florian

    Hi,
Check if the Function module GSBH_HIERARCHY_CATALOG_SETS is missing in the OLTP System.
Alternatively, also check the notes, 758248,  400116 and 206334.

  • Loading Customer specific Hierarchy

    Hi,
If we have a customized hierarchy created in R3
for example Cost element or WBS, how do we
    create a datasource for it?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Rose

    Hi Rose,
would suggest loading the same through flat file, if there is no standard datasource for the same. Refer below link for flat file hierarchy

  • BPC 7.5: Hierarchy load fra BW. Missing "parent" nodes.

    Hi,
i'm having problems uploading a 0profit_center hierarchy from  SAP BW to BPC.
My problem is that the load fails due to missing dimensions members on profit_center in BPC. The missing members is the hierarchy parents, which are not a part of the masterdata on the infoobject "0profit_center"
So for example I have a simple hierarchy:
    Parent1:
    -child1
    -child2
    -child3
Child1-Child3 are masterdata on (dimension members) on 0profit_center. Parent1 is NOT masterdata. So the load will fail due to the fact that parent1 is not a dimension memeber in  'BPC' profit_center.
Do I have to load the hierarchy table from BW to BPC (profit_center) in order to get the dimension members for the hierarchy ??
    Thank You,

    Hi,
you need to use a formula to remove the spaces. Though not sure how to define it for hierarchy notes.....
The formula can be defined in the conversion file.
    The formula is js:%external%.toString().replace(/s+/g,"")
And your conversion file should look like (transposed for reading purpose).:
    EXTERNAL = *
    INTERNAL = js:%external%.toString().replace(/s+/g,"")
    FORMULA

  • Loading Customized Hierarchies in BPC 10.0

    Good day!
Has anyone tried combining the InfoObject Hierarchy of 0COSTCENTER (Cost Center) and 0PROFIT_CTR (Profit Center) into one hierarchy in BW?
I am asking this in order to execute a single load for Master Data Hierarchies of a dimension COST_PROFIT_CTR in BPC 10.0.
If yes, how were you able to load the hierarchy successfully?
    Hoping for your reply.
    Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your reply, Bishwajit.
I created two transformations connected to a customized InfoObject. When I opened the Hierarchy of the said InfoObject, I saw two separate hierarchies - one for Cost Center and one for Profit Center.
What is the best approach to create a "merged" custom hierarchy in BW if this is the scenario?
There are Profit Centers which have the same ID as Cost Centers. However, in their respective hierarchies in R/3, there are instances wherein the parent of the base member of a Profit Center is different from the parent of the base member of the same Cost Center.
    Thank you.

  • Loading customer hierachy from flat file

    Hello Friends,
I have a requirement to load time dependent customer hierarchy, to be used in BEx reports. I have gone most of the threads in the forums about 0cust_sales and 0customer.
The table that is updated in ECC is KNVH. As we cannot map the data from KNVH directly to 0customer, I have loaded the data to 0cust_sales using using datasource 0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER.
Now I have downloaded the 0cust_sales hierarchy using the program Z_SAP_HIERARCHY_DOWNLOAD and changed the object there to reflect 0customer.
Once the file is downloaded, I tried to create a file datasource for 0Customer and load the file.
Initially I found issues with format, as 0cust_sales would have a combination of sales org, dist channel, division together with customer. I replaced all those numbers with zeros.
The preview looks good with all the fields properly populated.
But still not able to load the file. I have checked in SLG1, its all green. but hierarchy does not show any update.
As a second step, I tried to create a manually 2 nodes in the 0customer hierarchy and tried to download it using the program. Then tried to upload again. Its working after manual change only for some entries
    Any inputs are highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ed.

Thanks Aditya for your reply. We are on BW 7.3.
    These are the steps taken
    1. Loaded the 0cust_sales hierarchy from ECC(knvh) - good
    2. Downloaded the hierarchy as a .txt file using Z_SAP_HIERARCHY_DOWNLOAD program
    3. Created a Datasource for hierarchy for 0customer using file system
    4. Modified the downloaded file ( re arranged the columns and also the width of the columns) and saved it as .csv
    4. Created transformations and uploaded the file to 0customer. It went though fine.
    5. The requirement is to automate it. I am not able to upload the downloaded file from 0cust_sales to 0customer, even if i remove distribution channel, division and sales org
Following is the snippet of the file
Or there are any other options.

  • Problem in Customer Hierarchy

    Hi all,
I have a problem in creating customer hierarchy in CRM.
    According to SAP HELP:
Before you create a CRM account hierarchy from an ERP customer hierarchy, you first have to:
    ●      Perform an initial load of the necessary Customizing settings from SAP ECC to SAP CRM.
Use the initial load in CRM (transaction R3AS) in CRM Middleware and the Customizing object DNL_CUST_THIT.
    ●      Map the ERP customer hierarchy categories to the CRM account hierarchies.
For more information about mapping, see in the Implementation Guide (IMG) Customer Relationship Management ® Master Data ® Business Partner ® Account Hierarchy ® Data Exchange of ERP Customer Hierarchies with SAP CRM ® Assign ERP Customer Hierarchy Type to CRM Hierarchy Category.
My problem stuck here where in the R/3 Hierarchy Type, the F4 help value does not show any value. I checked in R3, there is a standard entry A for customer hierarchy. Could any one help me on this?
    ●      Download the ERP table KNVH (customer hierarchies) to SAP CRM.
Use the initial load in SAP CRM (transaction R3AS) with the business object DNL_BUPA_KNVH. A copy of the ERP table KNVH is replicated to SAP CRM to create the account hierarchy from it.
    cheers,
    ginnie

    Hello Ginnie,
Reason might be that initial download of DNL_CUST_THIT  was not complete.
Check SM58 to see if there's an error, when the system was trying to download the hierarchy. Please go also to trx. st22 to see if there is a TIMEOUT dump related to this download. If so, you can try to increase the parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time and start again the download of the hierarchy.
Also some of the attached OSS Note 522815 might help for more details. Check also Note 516725 it might be helpful.

  • Flat File loading into Hierarchy

    Dear Gurus,
I am trying to load a hierarchy from a flat file.  I am not able to do it successfully.
I have a small doubt.  Do we need to load the master data into the master data table before loading the hierarchy?
      Explanation:
I have an info object zcountry  and i had added zzone and zstate as external characteristics in hierarchy.  the hierarchy structure should be  country with 2 nodes zone1,zone2 and zone one should have 2 states under it as nodes.  In this case do I need to maintain the master data in the infoobjects before loading the hierarchies with flat file.?
<b>Node ID     InfoObject     Node Name     Link     Parent ID     Language     Short-Txt     Medium-Txt     Long-Txt</b>
    1;     zcountry;     CountryNode;          0;     en;     CountryNode;     CountryNode;     CountryNode;
    2;     zzone1;     SouthZone;          1;     en;     SouthZoneNode;     SouthZoneNode;     SouthZoneNode;
    3;     zstate;     AndhraPradesh;          2;     en;     AndhraPradesh;     AndhraPradesh;     AndhraPradesh;
4     zstate     Karnataka          2     en     Karnataka     Karnataka     Karnataka
5     zzone1     NorthZone          1     en     NorthZoneNode     NorthZoneNode     NorthZoneNode
6     zstate     Haryana          5     en     Haryana     Haryana     Haryana
7     zstate     Rajastan          5     en     Rajastan     Rajastan     Rajastan
This is how the flat file looks like.
    Kindly give me a solution.
    Regards
    Mohan Kumar.

  • Customer Hierarchy in BW

    Hello Experts!
I need to load Customer hierarchies in BW from ECC.
I read the messages on this forum and learned that there are 2 customer related datasources:
    0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER and 0CUSTOMER_LKLS_HIER
I don't get any data in rsa3 for 0CUSTOMER_LKLS_HIER. I have to chose the Customer Class.
I get data in rsa3 for 0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER and that matches KNVH data in ECC.
0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER will map to 0CUST_SALES, right? So is that ok if I use this datasource to bring customer hierarchies into BW?
Or should I use 0CUSTOMER_LKLS_HIER. In that case, how do I get that populated in ECC? I need functional person's help, right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

There are three kinds of customer Master Data that we most often use- Customer General data- KNA1, Customer Sales Area data- KNVV, and customer company code data- (check for tables).
Check for the reporting requirement, Identify the tables and check for standard datasources, the hierarchies you are talking about are- for general, and sales area hierarchies.
If in your requirement if you have identified customer master general hierarchy, from kna1, but you do not have any data in it- then that hierarchy is not maintained in the source system.
Do not use the sales area hierarchy.
    I hope this is helpful.
    Ram.

  • Loading dimension hierarchy too slow

I have a cube, 4 dimensions for the cube. I got a problem when I brower the cube:
dimension "Customer", there is a "Customer Hierarchy":
I want to browse the data from BI, I drag the hierarchy to row fields, it is ok, it is ok if I click "cust Name", but I click "Cust ID", it is runing long time(forever). someone knows what is going on?
    Thanks

    Hi Albert,
According to your description, it takes long time to load the dimension members when expand the CustID level, right?
In your scenario, how many child members does "abril Ray" contain? If it contain large members under this member, then it will take long time when expanding this member to load its child member. Here is a blog that describes how to deal with large
    dimension, please see:
    https://cwebbbi.wordpress.com/2006/06/27/breaking-up-large-dimensions/
Besides, it’s hard to give you the root reason that caused this issue with the limited information about you SSAS cube. I'd suggest you enable SQL Server profiler to monitor the queries fired by the query, once you find some queries took a very long time
to run, consider creating the smaller cube partition or optimizing the query by adding index or partition to improve the query performance.

  • Contracts and Customer hierarchy

    Hi Friends,
I have a requirement - where my client has a customer who is globally located .....every year the global customer gives a contract to my client and asks to ship the material across his offices located globally...say one office in UK,one in US,one in Australia....sometimes the order may come from the customer from US/UK ....referring the same contract.
And every time a slaes order is created based on the ordereafrom the customers across the world the  qty has to get decreased from the same contract.
Shall i need to have a customer hierarchy and in that case can i refer to the same contract........or do i need to create a on single contract on the main customer and add the reamining customers as partner functions .......i am not sure how to go on with this ....please help me out
    Cheers
    Ivy

    Hi Ivy.
In this scenario, there has to be a customer hierarchy, as the highest level of customer will be as parent customer and lower levels will be child customer. As you may need it in credit control also.
For contracts lets wait for other consultants to answer, as i am not sure of it.

  • Number of partners that can be linked in a Customer Hierarchy

    Hi!
We have requirement to map multiple partners to a customer hierarchy account. Would be glad to have some insights on:
    1. Any limitation on the number of partners that can be linked to any hierarchy node (even the highest)?
    2. If yes, how many?

  • Is possible to load a hierarchy from web services?

    Hi Experts,
I have a doubt, exists some way to load a hierarchy of a infoobject from a system source that is a Web Services? Somebody I could do this? It would give a guide me of steps to do...
    Thanks & Regards,
    Leonel

Usually web service datasources load into a PSA. and hierarchies are loaded using IDoc. You could however load the data from the web service into another infoobject / DSO and create a custom hierarchy datasource . The procedure for the same - I came across something like this in ABAP for BW ( SAP Press ) ... do not have it now but it can be done...
