Loaded flash 8 swf's instance problem !

Hi,
I am loading a Flash 8 .swf file in Flex 3. Initially its
working fine.
But whenever we tried to load a another instance of that swf
or trying to load in a separate container again, its producing
wrong output with colors and mouse events.
We tried with the same swf file making two different file
(map1.swf, map2.swf), and loading them separately. But its also
buggy.
The MovieClip structure of one swf (map1.swf) in flash is
like - _level0.Map.Map.NA.
We made one swf 's (map2.swf) structure to test like -
_level0.Map2.Map.NA
Where colours of 'NA' instances are depending on xml and
mouse event applied to them.
If we load them in Flex 3 and trace out the loaded swf
instances, whichever swf loaded first, flex started to use those
instances everywhere.
e.g. If map2.swf loaded first and map1.swf second, then Flex
debug console shows -
'_root.Map2.Map.NA' - for map2.swf and
'_level0.diff_map_load0.pan2.contentPane.UIComponent33.instance37.instance67.Map2.Map.NA'
- for map1.swf.
Again, If map1.swf loaded first and map2.swf second, then
Flex debug console shows -
'_root.Map.Map.NA' - for map1.swf and
'_level0.diff_map_load0.pan2.contentPane.UIComponent33.instance37.instance67.Map.Map.NA'
- for map1.swf
For both of the cases which one is loaded first, working
correctly and the second one producing wrong results with colors
and mouse events.
Help and Suggestions needed.
Thanks,
Debasish Bouri.

Authorware is old. EOD'd, in fact now.
It's native support only officially handles Flash 6. Flash 7
usually
works fine if nothing 'fancy' (i.e. new components) has been
added to
the SWF. Flash 8 and above, however, pretty much aren't going
to work at
all in Authorware *using the native sprite*.
However, if you add the Shockwave Flash ActiveX control to
your
flowline, that uses the same control as IE does. So as long
as your user
has the Flash IE player on their machine, you can load
whatever SWF
version that player supports.
Working with the ActiveX control is a bit more tricky. Check
the ActiveX
example in your Authorware 7\ShowMe directory for an
example...
The biggest downside to the ActiveX approach is those SWFs
are 'always
on top'. Makes for good playback but you can't layer anything
on top of
those SWFs unfortunately (except maybe other ActiveX
controls, which
causes lots of flickering).

  • Flash SWF video export problem

    Hello everyone,
    I am currently working on a flash intro with a bunch of video
    clips interspersed at different points. I've imported all the clips
    using the method to place the individual frames on the timeline.
    The video also sometimes is shorter than the alloted time given to
    where it is placed on the timeline, so when it gets to the end the
    last frame of the video freezes for a few frames, which isn't very
    noticeable and is fine. When I play the intro in Flash the video
    looks fine but the problem is when I export it to an SWF file. Then
    when the actual exported file is played instead of freezing on the
    last frame it starts to replay the beginning of the video clip
    again, which is noticeable. I am wondering why Flash is changing
    what I am seeing on the timeline when I am editing with the
    exported file. I really can't re-edit the video clips to add a few
    frames. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    export using QUICKTIME CONVERSION not just as quicktime movie and then choose h.264 which makes beautiful pictures at decent data rates.
    If this does not work, export native qt movie then open using qt pro and select h,264....
    good luck

  • Problems loading Adobe Flash SWF file

    Our users are experienceing problems loading Adobe Flash SWF
    files.
    One example of a problem file is:
    http://www.adobe.com/enterprise/accessibility/popup_acr8_accessibility.html
    User traffic is flowing through a Cisco ASA firewall - these
    problems do not seem to occur from home networks or a Netscreen
    firewall. The Cisco ASA does NOT have http deep packet inspection
    turned on, and any traffic initiated by clients inside the firewall
    should be allowed. The symptom is that Internet Explorer will begin
    to download the video, but will hang at some point along the way
    (for this particular URL it hangs at about 7%). No error messages
    are displayed, but the video never displays on the screen either. I
    would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have run into this
    before, or if someone can explain what is different about this type
    of file from regular Adobe Flash, that might help figure out what
    the ASA is objecting to. The ASA does not appear to generate any
    log messages about denying this type of traffic either.
    Thanks in advance for any help you can provide...

    Thanks, but I use publish/export settings with GPU hardware acceleration and flash version 11.2 (and 11.8) but nothing happening.
    And why gif file is not all transparenty then I insert on lightblue background? It can't export good quality? Also I use Photoshop, After Effects, Adobe Edge Animate. And nothing happening. Egde animate file .oam is not good for old website navigation. It can't be inserted in freeshop site from navigation... I use logo file .oam just for example here - http://e-shoptagras.graphicsrim.eu
    In reality I want swf file, but we don't find why logo flickering? here http://tagraseshop.graphicsrim.eu
    All file's are transparenty - https://mega.co.nz/#!f8B2CD5R!J8uCJt9Sdq4Suz4HLhTHz8bzJcSWXMBIKcKZgkD3z8c

  • Problem loading one SWF into another in Flash AS3

    I am trying to load an SWF file in another SWF file. The child SWF file works fine when run standalone like if I set visibility of an item to true or false, it works fine. But when the SWF is loaded into a parent SWF, I am not able to execute such commands, neither I get any errors...

    are both swfs as3 swfs?
    is the code in the loaded swf and is that code referencing objects in the loaded swf?

  • Referencing a movieclip instance from an (loaded) external swf.

    Hi everybody
    I'm new to AS3. Even experienced in AS2, i'm a bit confused
    in getting the following result.
    Let's assume the following.
    The mainmovie has a movieclip instance called 'window1'. I
    need to have loaded a movieclip (submov.swf) in the mainmovie. As a
    final result a button is to be added to 'window1' after everytime
    an instance of submov is created.
    The document class of submov.swf is as follows
    package
    import flash.display.*;
    import fl.controls.Button;
    public class submov extends Sprite
    function submov():void
    var firstbutton:Button = new Button();
    firstbutton.move(0,0);
    firstbutton.setSize(70,30);
    firstbutton.label = "Submit";
    stage.window1.addChild(firstbutton); //this is the place
    where error occurs (my assumption)
    the first frame of the mainmovie express the following code
    to load mainmov.
    import flash.display.*;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    var ldr:Loader = new Loader();
    var url:String = "mainmov.swf";
    var urlReq:URLRequest = new URLRequest(url);
    ldr.load(urlReq); // the first instance of mainmov created
    here
    var a:submov = new submov(); // the second instance of
    mainmov created here
    var b:submov = new submov(); // the third one created here
    so the final result must be the button symbol created three
    times in 'window1' (the position of the buttons may be ignored).
    But what i'm getting is an error reporting
    TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of
    a null object reference.
    at submov$iinit()
    PLEASE HELP ME at this stage to overcome the problem.

    no,
    i tried that too, but there is the following error reported.
    TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of
    a null object reference.

  • Flash AIR app cannot load child swfs on publish to device

    I have been struggling with this problem for WEEKS now and can't solve it. I have an flash AIR app (creative cloud, AIR 3.8) which is very simple: all it does is load external SWF movies on the click of a start button. It works FINE in test/PC but when I publish to device, the external swfs do not load.
    Here is the code on the main timeline that calls the external swfs:
    //start button
    start_button_TRI_desmatosuchus.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToLoadUnloadSWF_02_3,false,0,true);
    import fl.display.ProLoader;
    import flash.events.Event;
    var fl_ProLoader_02:ProLoader;
    var fl_ToLoad_02:Boolean = true;
    function fl_ClickToLoadUnloadSWF_02_3(event:MouseEvent):void
              if(fl_ToLoad_02)
                        fl_ProLoader_02 = new ProLoader();
                        fl_ProLoader_02.load(new URLRequest("dinofilms/triassic_desmatosuchus.swf"));
                        fl_ProLoader_02.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,onComplete_02 )
                        addChild(fl_ProLoader_02);
                        fl_ProLoader_02.x = 0;
                        fl_ProLoader_02.y = 144;
              else
                        if (fl_ProLoader_02!=null) {
                                  removeChild(fl_ProLoader_02);
                                  fl_ProLoader_02.unloadAndStop();
                                  fl_ProLoader_02 = null;
              fl_ToLoad_02 = !fl_ToLoad_02;
    function onComplete_02(e:Event):void {
              e.currentTarget.content.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,OEF_02);
    function OEF_02(e:Event):void {
              if (e.currentTarget.currentFrame==e.currentTarget.totalFrames) {
                        e.currentTarget.stop();
                        e.currentTarget.removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,OEF_02);
                        removeChild(fl_ProLoader_02);
                        fl_ProLoader_02.unloadAndStop();
                        fl_ProLoader_02 = null;
    I am calling about 30 different movies on 30 different frames, so that's why I am using tags like "proLoader_01" so I don't duplicate them. All the external swfs are of course listed in the included files too.
    I would really appreciate the assistance, I am a reluctant coder!

    Its working fine after set the loader content to both swfs.
    sorry for trouble and thanks for the response.

    no.
    if, in your loaded swf, you have a function f1() on the loaded swf's main timeline and you load that swf using a loader (say ldr), use:
    MovieClip(ldr.content).f1();   // to call f1() in the loaded swf

  • HELP PLEASE - loading external swf scale problem

    I have a Flex 3 Actionscript Project. Basically all it does it take some flash vars, set the sound volume,  and load an external swf using a loader and add the loader as a child. The problem is I want the loaded external swf to be scaled to fill the entire stage, even if it distorts it, and that doesn't seem to be happening.
    I really need to resolve this. ANY HELP APPRECIATED.
    Marcus

    Thanks for the reply!
    Here's basically what my code looks like (note: I cut some stuff out that wasn't relevant for the sake of clarity).
    private var swfLoader:Loader = null;
    public function MySwfContainer()
        stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.EXACT_FIT;
        stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
        var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(swfUrl);
        swfLoader = new Loader();
        swfLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,SWFLoader_Complete);
        swfLoader.load(request);
    private function SWFLoader_Complete(event:Event):void
        addChild(swfLoader);
    What I am observing is that if a swf larger than the stage area is loaded it clips it rather than scale it down and make it fit.

  • Problem when load more swf files work with xml files into my movie

    hi ;
    I have one flash file & more of swf files which work with xml files .
    when I load one swf file into my flash file  and remove it and load anther one on the same movieclip in my flash file it load the old swf file.
    when i load one on movieclip and remove it and load anther swf  on anther movieclip the file doesn`t work  and stoped.
    when test my flash file to load and remove swf files without xml file it work fine but when repleaced the swf files with other work with xml files the problem hapend.
    thanks;

    YOu should trace the names of the files that are being targeted for loading to see if they agree with what you expect.  If you want help with the coding you will need to show the code that is relevant to your problem (not all of it)

  • My Flash Swf file dont load

    Ok do i made a Flash Swf, when i view in on adobe flash it works fine, but i need to upload it so i can use it on my site problem is when i do nothing loads, images, text. Its just a black box where the content should be but it just says Loading.

    Was there an answer to this issue ever? I have this problem in Captivate after importing an swf. The swf shows up fine in editing mode on the slide... but when I preview or publish (even locally), it stops playing prematurely and jumps to the next slide.
    No content management system is involved in my case, and this is local, not online.
    Please help!!!

  • Loading child SWFs with TLF content (from Flash CS5.5) generates reference errors in FB4.6

    I am currently producing e-learning content with our custom AS3-Framework.
    We normally create content files in Flash CS5.5 with dynamic text fields, which are set at runtime from our Framework (AS3 framework in FB4.6).
    Now we are in the progress of language versioning, and since one of the languages is Arabic we are changing the dynamic text fields to TLF fields.
    Then all my problems started.
    In Flash I have chosen to include the TLF engine and to export in frame 2.
    (see to: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash/kb/loading-child-swfs-tlf-content.html )
    I get this error:
    VerifyError: Error #1053: Illegal override of getEventMirror in flashx.textLayout.elements.FlowLeafElement.
                at flash.display::MovieClip/gotoAndPlay()
    I guess it is because our framework wants to gotoAndPlay before the TLF engine has been loaded.
    Can this be it?
    Any good suggestions on how to handle loading child SWFs with TLF content.

    Please refere to the following articles .. you may find some help.

    I also faced similar problem and posted a question at the following link, but, I still couldn't find the solution.

  • Loading External SWF - Problem

    Hi,
    Using MovieClipLoader I want to load external SWFs - and it
    is working fine
    if external swf doesn't have anything outside it's stage,
    otherwise it shows
    everything - that's the problem.
    For example, external swf's stage dimensions are 100x150, but
    it has some
    timeline animation (some objects scrolling through the stage,
    some bouncing
    text animation that sometimes goes off-stage, etc..).
    So when I load this external movie (banner.swf), I can see
    all these objects
    that were bouncing outside this 100x150 area (the stage of
    banner). Even
    more - the size of loaded movie is larger than 100x150px
    (because of these
    off-stage objects that are now visible). This way I'm getting
    positioning
    problems, too.
    var mcl:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader();
    mcl.loadClip("banner.swf", holder);
    mcl.addListener(listener);
    holder._x = Stage.width/2 - holder._width/2;
    holder._y = Stage.height/2 - holder._height/2;
    Thanks in advance,
    B.

    Hi kglad,
    Does doing that takes only into account width and height of the stage, or also considers off stage items (as in the initial question)?
    I am also looking at this issue and we can't have all the content providers modify their pre-existing flash applications to be displayed in the appropiate scale. We are looking to any of the following:
    find a way to get adobe air/flash to not consider the off stage elements on the width/height we set to the movie.
    find a way to get the stage size from the external movie and use that to auto calculate the resize needed.
    any other alternative that allows to have the same end result, which is loading up the external content at the size we specify and displaying well. We can actually hide content outside the stage, but we still need to know the appropiate scale / size to apply to the movie so what's visible matches the are where we want to show the content.
