Loading 0CUSTOMER HIERARCHIE

Hi Gurus.
I'm trying to download the hierarchy i have in R/3 for Customer, but I have a problem.
I'm using 0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER datasource to load the hierarchy.
I go to transaction RSA3 and test the extractor, and it brings 187 registers and i see the details and it is the hierarchy i want to download.
I have activated this DataSource in R/3 and also replicate it in BW, i create the infopackage to download the hierarchy but when i run the package it is not bringing me anything.
Can you help me to solve this problem.
THANKS.

Hi KJ
Yes, when I run the infopackage, the status in the monitor is yellow, but this is because it seems there is a problem with the idoc's in R/3, BW sends the idocs to R/3 but there is no response in R/3 side. It is very strange because it is happening to me in all infopackages I run, but more curious is that when i load master data or transactional data, it is reaching the datatargets, and is loading apparently well, but the status is always yellow, I have to force it to convert into green in order to see the information in the datatargets.  And when I check my connection to R/3 everything is working ok, the only thing is that when I go to transaction SM58 in R/3 and enter with the user ALEREMOTE i see and error that says I don't have permission to send IDOC's of type RSINFO, but i check the profiles of ALEREMOTE and it has SAP_ALL and S_BI-WX_RFC profiles.
Any other solution ??
THANKS A LOT

  • Loading Customized Hierarchies in BPC 10.0

    Good day!
Has anyone tried combining the InfoObject Hierarchy of 0COSTCENTER (Cost Center) and 0PROFIT_CTR (Profit Center) into one hierarchy in BW?
I am asking this in order to execute a single load for Master Data Hierarchies of a dimension COST_PROFIT_CTR in BPC 10.0.
If yes, how were you able to load the hierarchy successfully?
    Hoping for your reply.
    Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your reply, Bishwajit.
I created two transformations connected to a customized InfoObject. When I opened the Hierarchy of the said InfoObject, I saw two separate hierarchies - one for Cost Center and one for Profit Center.
What is the best approach to create a "merged" custom hierarchy in BW if this is the scenario?
There are Profit Centers which have the same ID as Cost Centers. However, in their respective hierarchies in R/3, there are instances wherein the parent of the base member of a Profit Center is different from the parent of the base member of the same Cost Center.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
when trying to load hierarchies from an InfoObject (BPC 7.5) i get the following error message.

  • Loading ALL HIERARCHIES

    Hello  Friends,
While loading  Hierarchies,  Info package  gives  an  option  to  select  the hierarchy to  load.
Is  there  a  way to  load  ALL OF THEM  WITHOUT  HAVING  ANYONE  GOING THERE AND SELECTING  ONE AFTER  ONE.
If  No, how  do  people  deal  with  hierarchies  being  created in  production.?

    --Led

    Hi Led,
if I really had to I would write an ABAP in R/3 that calls the BAPI BAPI_IPAK_CREATE that creates InfoPackages but if I had any chance I would try to prevent it. Many hierarchies in R/3 are not for reporting reasons but for definitions of all kinds of cost distribution, authorizations etc. So you should define a handful of hierarchies that are used for BW reporting. Power users have the chance to define other structures in query definition.

  • Load of hierarchies from R/3 via flat file: how to generate the flat file?

    Hello,
I need to build a custom extractor for a hierarchy. The hierarchy exists in R/3, but there's no standard datasource to extract it. I know I can upload it via flat file, but I have a question related to this.
Does anyone know if there's a program (standard or custom by SAP) or function module in R/3 which allows me to generate that flat file, with the required format by BW?
I would appreciate very much any help about this topic
    Thanks in advance

In CO-PA there is a way to generate Hierarchy Extractors (see Note 422175 for more details). With a Custom Program you generate a specific DataSource.
    Hope it helps

    Hi Patricia,
if there is, I'd love to get hold of it.
I have only ever managed this by extracting the relevant data into Excel and then doing a long series of VLOOKUPS to establish parent and child ids.
I have a sample spreadsheet I can send you if you like.

  • Load Hierarchies using PSA

    Hello,
We are trying to enable the sign reversal characteristic (0SIGNCH) for a hierarchy in order to reverse signs of certain accounts during extraction.
The documentation refers to the following prerequisites:
"...the hierarchy must have flexible hierarchy structures. This is the case when the hierarchy is loaded via the PSA and, as a result, has transfer rules."
"A hierarchy DataSource from a SAP source system must support loading by using a PSA."
How can we determine if the hierarchy datasource supports PSA loads?  Example?
Is there a way to enable PSA loads for hierarchies?
    Thanks,
    Adam
    How can we enable

    Hi Adam,
I would NOT recommend tricking the system this way. The extractor needs to deliver different packages for IDOC and PSA and is not enabled to do this.
When the PSA method for hierarchies was introduced the development decided to enable this feature for only one extractor, I think it was EC-CS items or something similar because they wanted to make use of the new feature 'Signs on Nodes'. The other extractors were not changed and up to then there were no plans to change it.
If you need this you should contact development and ask for a solution. Maybe the problems aren't critical for 0COSTELMNT and you can change it, maybe they provide a solution with remote consulting, maybe they think your reasons are valid and they provide a note.

  • How to setup and load hierarchies in BW?

    Dear BW gurus,
We have vendor hierarchy in ECC table LFMH.In BW when i try to load this hierarchy for 0VENDOR using 0VENDOR_LKLS_HIER datasource, i do not see the hierarchy that i need from the ECC (in the "available hierarchies in OLTP" option in the infopackage), instead it shows me some other irrevelant hierarchies. Is there any customization in BW that i am missing before i load the hierarchies? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

if its a set hierarchy, you can create a datasource in tcode BW07. follow the steps below.
    1. Generate the DataSource for FI-SL sets using the BW IMG (Transaction BW07).
    2. FI-SL sets are not compounded in OLTP. If you want to extract FI-SL sets for a coumpound characteristic in BW, proceed as follows:
    a) Select the 'BW InfoObject (characteristic) is compounded' field and enter a data element (compound information of the meta data).
    b) After generating the DataSource, execute compounding in a customer exit. To do this create, a project for the SAP enhancement RSAP0001 in Transaction CMOD, and program EXIT_SAPLRSAP_004 (ZXRSAU04) as described in the attachment.
    3. Execute the following steps in BW:
    a) Update the meta data for the FI-SL sets in the InfoSource tree.
    b) Maintain the transfer structure and transfer rules.
    c) If the extracted set hierarchies contain intervals, you must allow intervals in hierarchies for the characteristic in BW. Check the hierarchy properties of the characteristic in Transaction RSD1 and set the "Intervals in hierarchies allowed"
    4. With this solution you can only extract sets created in Transaction GS01 (set class 0000).
If the hierarchy list in BW for the set data source is empty, first check in the OLTP system whether set class 0000 contains suitable sets at all. To do this, start Transaction GS02 (not GS03!). Field Set class may be displayed; if this is the case, enter 0000 there. Position the cursor on field Set name and select F4. Enter the table and field name you specified in Transaction BW07 in popup "Select sets" and select "Continue (Enter)". If message GR003 "An appropriate object was not found" is displayed, the hierarchy list in BW is also empty.
    5. For CO groups (set class 01xx), the following DataSources are contained in the standard delivery
    ·     0ABCPROCESS_0107_HIER                    Business process
    ·     0ACCOUNT_0109_HIER                       Account number
    ·     0ACTTYPE_0105_HIER                       Activity type
    ·     0COORDER_0103_HIER                        Order
    ·     0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER                    Cost center
    ·     0COSTELMNT_0102_HIER                     Cost element
    ·     0PROFIT_CTR_0106_HIER                    Profit Center
    ·     0STKEYFIG_0104_HIER                      Stat. key figure
On principle, sets can also be created for the DDIC fields of these objects in R/3 GS01.
From Release 4.0, this no longer makes sense since the CO groups can then be used anywhere in FI-SL.
With regard to the conversion of sets to CO groups in Release 4.0, please refer to the FI-SL-VSR Release Information for 4.0A and Notes 92029 and 51132.
    6. For other set classes, no DataSources are delivered.

  • Loading Hierarchies from R3

    Hi,
I loaded the Hierarchies from R3 in to BW with the Business Content DataSources.
    In R3--> RSA3; I am finding 32 records
But when I load the data in BW, the Monitor shows 58 records .......
What are the exact steps I should take care to validate the records / records count in R3 Vs BW.
    Thank you,

Well as mentioned in my previous post RSA3 works best for the non Hierarchy Datasource.
For hierarchy datasource I never found the best way to handle this scenario.
We have random check with the nodes of hierarchy in R/3 to BI after the loads which is not full proof and am aware of.
So to confirm the same, execute the standard reports in R/3 with Hierarchy nodes and Custom build reports in BW with the same Hierarchy to compare the values;however this is the crudest way.
May some one has best method for suggestion....
    Hope it Helps

  • Loading Hierarchies in BW

    Hi guys,
I have one doubt regarding the loading of hierarchies in BW.
Actually Iu2019m loading one Costcenter hierarchy using a flat file directly in BW.
Now, my client wants to stop the usage of flat files.
Can I transfer the flat file content to a transparent table, create a generic extractor and load it?
Iu2019m not being able to find out if this if possible. I guess not.
    Many thanks,

    Hi,
you can generate the hierarchies based on data in a DSO. Ideas for such a solution are described in my blog posts:

  • Error while deleting Hierarchies through TCode - comm_hierarchy

    Hi there,
We are trying to import the Product Mater data from SAp R/3 4.7 to mySAPCRM 4.0.
The CRM system already has product master data (hierarchies, categories and products) from old logical R/3 system. So We have directly deleted all the categories in the master table COMM_CATEGORY using TCOde SE14 (have not deleted the products prior to that).
Now if we try to delete a Hierarchy thru the TCODE COMM_HIERARCHY, it thows an error message "Hierarchy still conatins categories".
Any idea, how we could correct this.
    Thanks,
    Ramya.

Ramya, I do think we have a little problem here. First of all never delete any from the database, period. This causes in many (if not all) cases inconsistencies. First question I have, do you have a back-up from before you initiated this deletion? If so, please restore.
Second question in order to be able to upload this hierarchy information you must ensure the corresponding number ranges in the old R/3 system and the new R/3 system do not overlap. Only in this situation you can load the new hierarchy in the CRM environment.
If there is an overlap, create a separate number range in CRM starting where the number range in the old R/3 system ends. In the replicating object add a filter to only load the hierarchies that do match this newly created number range. This will at least enable you to partially load hierarchy info from the new SAP system.
    Hope this helps, Tiest

  • Hierarchy Data not saved after Hierarchy Load

    Hi Gurus,
I am facing a problem with the hierarchy data load in SAP BPC NW 7.5 SP06. I have already used /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER & /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_HIER once to load the data from BI to BPC and it worked fine that time.
Now I have made some changes in the Hierarchy at the BI side. When I run the package link list, the /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER chain runs fine and the master data, description for Attribute and Hierarchies are loaded perfectly. But whn the /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_HIER is run, the changes are not saved in the BPC Member sheet. I have manually make the changes in the member sheet and Process the Dimension.
Can we process the Dimension explicitly after the Hierarchy load again?
Does anyone have an idea about this?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

    Abhishek,
Double check whether  /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER is bringing all the ID's,Texts and Hierarchy Nodes. If required drop the data from dimesion member sheet and load it again.
Double check the Hierarchy and level setup while running /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_HIER.
(when we are in SP05, it was not bringing the multiple Hierarchies, now we are in SP07 loading multiple hierarchies but not the TEXT fo the Id's some inconsistency)
    Thanks

  • Flat File loading into Hierarchy

    Dear Gurus,
I am trying to load a hierarchy from a flat file.  I am not able to do it successfully.
I have a small doubt.  Do we need to load the master data into the master data table before loading the hierarchy?
      Explanation:
I have an info object zcountry  and i had added zzone and zstate as external characteristics in hierarchy.  the hierarchy structure should be  country with 2 nodes zone1,zone2 and zone one should have 2 states under it as nodes.  In this case do I need to maintain the master data in the infoobjects before loading the hierarchies with flat file.?
<b>Node ID     InfoObject     Node Name     Link     Parent ID     Language     Short-Txt     Medium-Txt     Long-Txt</b>
    1;     zcountry;     CountryNode;          0;     en;     CountryNode;     CountryNode;     CountryNode;
    2;     zzone1;     SouthZone;          1;     en;     SouthZoneNode;     SouthZoneNode;     SouthZoneNode;
    3;     zstate;     AndhraPradesh;          2;     en;     AndhraPradesh;     AndhraPradesh;     AndhraPradesh;
4     zstate     Karnataka          2     en     Karnataka     Karnataka     Karnataka
5     zzone1     NorthZone          1     en     NorthZoneNode     NorthZoneNode     NorthZoneNode
6     zstate     Haryana          5     en     Haryana     Haryana     Haryana
7     zstate     Rajastan          5     en     Rajastan     Rajastan     Rajastan
This is how the flat file looks like.
    Kindly give me a solution.

    Mohan Kumar.

  • Load BW hierarchy from a DB Connect Source System

    Hi,
I think I will be able to generate a suitable dataset - the same as for loading BW hierarchies from flatfile - in a database view connected via DB Connect in an external system.
However, it looks like this is not supported. Am I right in thinking you can only load hierchies from flatfile (apart from R/3 of course). Seem odd as it is staged via the PSA anyway.
Can anyone please confirm? Any ideas for workaround as the manual step to create the hierarchy as a flatfile will be a pain.
