Loading a Picture onto the Scene

I am trying to load a picture onto the scene by using the
following action script commands:
on (release) {
loadMovie("Kjole1.jpg", ramme);
Nothing happens when the button is released, so it doesn't
work.
"Kjole1.jpg" is a picture file in the same directory. "ramme"
is a squere on the scene converted to a movie clip symbol. When I
check, I get the message "The script contains no errors", but
nothing happens anyway.
What is the problem?

I just want to tell you it's working fine now!
The problem was the instance name. Thanks again for your
help!
Anyway - I have just tried it in a simple sample file. I am
going to try it on our main file now. There we have made a slide
show of pictures scrolling down on the right side of the screen. We
converted the slideshow to a movie clip. The pictures in the slide
show, are also buttons. When you click on a button / small picture,
a big sample of the picture should be loaded on the scene, that was
when we needed the LoadMovie command. But when I tried to put
action on the buttons, the action didn't act on the scene, but on
edit level since the movie clip became kind of a nested symbol.
Do we have to copy and paste the frames back to the scene and
get rid of the movie clip symbol? Or are there any acton script
command we could use to solve this problem?

  • How do I load a picture from the clipboard (either Windows clipboard or Labview clipboard) into image data that can then be processed in Labview?

I want to load a picture from the Windows clipboard (and if not possible, then from the Labview clipboard) into actual numerical image data so that it can be processed in lab view. When I'm at the main screen where I can add controls, I see a section of controls called "Vision" in the tool bar where all the different controls can can be added from. When I go to the control called "Image" and put that on my form, and then look at the flowchart/blockdiagram programing window to see what inputs and outputs it has, I only see one output, and no inputs. And when I right click on it, I see NO way to load an image into the Image control. PLEASE help me.

    Hi Ben,
National Instruments has an image processing software called Vision and although I am not completely sure, I think the controls that you found in the control pallet are used in conjunction with the software. Depending on what kind of image processing you want to conduct in LabVIEW, you might want to consider purchasing that product.
If cost is an issue, there are functions in LabVIEW which allows you to take in image files and process them. However, please keep in mind that the capabilities are limited.
Images should be loaded onto LabVIEW not via the clipboard but through loading it from folders or directories. (There might be a way to and so if you find a way please let me know! I would like to know myself =D) If you open the function pallet by right clicking on the block diagram, in the programming folder you should find a directory called "Graphic and Sound". There, you'll find functions in which allows you to process images.
In the "Graphic Type" directory there should be a function called Read JPEG file.vi. There are also others which allows you to read png and bmp files. Please note that there are functions which write as well. Set a file path on the block diagram and inside the "Grahic and Sound" there is a "Picture Function" directory and inside there, there should be a function called "Draw Flattened Pixmap.vi" That changes the image into a format where you can process on LabVIEW. Inside the "Picture Function" directory there are several functions which allows you to process the specified image. Play around with it and see how it goes. And don't forget to Write the file in the end to save any changes.
    I hope this helps

whit the new iTunes how i can down load my pictures from the iPhone to the computer  to make more spaces

  • In elements 11, how will I load 2 pictures in the same work space of the photo editor

in Elements 11, I am working on face swapping, how can I load 2 pictures in the same workspace of the photo editor

Editor preferences>general>allow floating documents in expert mode, then window>images>cascade or tile. You may need to choose float all in windows the first time before you can make either of those work.

  • Is it possible to load pictures directly from your computer to your ipad.  When I loaded the camera pictures onto the computer, re ordered them and fixed some, I then tried to move them to the ipad.  It does not allow me to paste the copied file.

Is it possible to load pictures from a computer to your ipad.  When modified my camera pictures and reordered them, I was unable to load them to the ipad.  I could copy but not paste.  If I reinstalled them on the memory card, the ipad did not recognize them.

The iPad can be pretty picky.
One way, if you sync your iPad to your computer, is to use iTunes to 'sync' the photos onto the iPad. Of course that has the downside of if you sync them on you have to use iTunes to sync them off.
Or you can download the iCloud control panel and use photostream to put the photos onto your iPad. WHen you install the iCloud panel and enable photo stream it'll put a folder on your computer. Import photos into that folder and they'll go onto your iPad (they do transfer via wifi so it's not exactly an instant thing, might take a few minutes depending on your network and file size.
Or, if you have a few, you can e-mail them to yourself, open that mail on your ipad and save them from there.
Or, to use the camera kit, you can import htem onto your iPad, but the camera connection kit requires a very specific naming protocol. There must be a folder named DCIM on your memory card, and then all files on that card must be in that folder and have a name of 8 characters. If you follow the naming convention, once you plug the memory card in the iPad will see it and allow you to import the photos.
there are also third party photo apps I just dont' have any to recommend.
One more thing to bear in mind, even if you rename the files, the ipad persists in organizing the photos by date, so I'd experiment and make sure it doesn't totally rearrange your files before you spend a lot of time on it. (third party apps may respect the name of the photo and organize it that way rather than by date first, then name)

  • New 6th generation ipod - loaded my library onto the iPod  all songs are greyed out and I cannot add a playlist.

I have purchased a new 6th generation ipod and registered it with Apple- it has loaded all my library onto the iPod but when the library is displayed all songs are greyed out and I cannot add a playlist. Can anyone help me ?

The content that you are viewing on your Nano via iTunes is grayed out since your iPod is set up for automatic syncing with your iTunes library.  If you want to be able to manually manage your contents (which is sounds like you are trying to do), you must enable the Manually manage music option from under your iPod's Summary tab in iTunes.

  • How do i down load my pictures in the best quality

I want to download all my vacation photos from my thumb drive to my Mac.  It does not give me the option to download the pictures in the best possible quality.  How can I find that option and is it possible to use the best quality as a default when I download photos, video, etc.?

No. You can't add quality. All you're doing there is using less compression.
Jpeg is not actually a Photo format. It's a compression format. When you view a photo in a Jpeg file the file is decompressed and when you stop viewing it's compressed again. So, think of it this way: your photo is in a Jpeg Suitcase. The Jpeg quality slider changes the size of the suitcase. But the Photo is the same.
Where this setting may be valuable is if the image is then going to be edited in a destructive workflow.

  • Can I add pictures onto the map in places

Hey I was wondering if I can add pictures onto my places map in photos and if so how? Any one know?

Added by including location info in a photo's EXIF data.
This is available with iPhoto on a Mac - adding location info to a photo that doesn't include it.

  • Downloading Canon pictures onto the iPhone - possible?

For my iPod I bought the accessory that enabled one to download camera pictures directly to the iPod without first "going through" the computer. I would now like to do the same with my iPhone but when I plug in the camera, I get the message that "this accessory is not supported." Does anyone know how I can make that accessory supportable?
    Thank you

Does anyone know how I can make that accessory supportable?
You can't. Photos can only be added to your phone by taking them with your camera app, saving from emails, MMS or Safari or syncing to your phone through the iTunes sync process.

When I first loaded Lion and converted to iCloud I was able to add Events to the iCal from the iMac. iCloud updated the iCal on my iPhone 4, iBook and my wife's iMac. I've done something to mess things up. Any suggestions?

  • Loading DVD's onto the mini HDD?

In what directory, would I load my DVD's so they can be accessed by front row?
I'd like to have a similar setup as itunes, for my movie collection.

Unfortunately, it's against the Terms of Use of the Apple Discussions to post about bypassing digital rights management, so we can't make any suggestions about "ripping" DVDs here. There are plenty of other Web sites with options for you.
With that said, Front Row looks in two places for your videos: Your user's "Movies" folder and inside iTunes.

  • I have photoshop 13 and it will not load any pictures into the organizer. How do I fix this error.

I keep getting the error that nothing was imported due to files or folders selected to import did not contain any supported file types or the files are already in this catalog. It started two days ago ( I have had elements 13 for about 6 weeks now) after I put my photo card in to download as usual. I have used photoshop elements for years and know what I'm doing. I also have Photoshop 12 that works just fine and will download these same files with no issues. I am using hp laptop and windows 8.1. Please help. I have thought about uninstalling and re installing but I have a lot of effects that have been added already and it is time consuming to do it again.Thank you for any advice

This is often a feature of faulty battery. Try to Restore your iPhone with iTunes on your computer. See if better. If still problem, make Genius reservation or set up Service and take or send your iPhone to Apple for resolution under Warranty.

  • D800 file compatibility:  Has anyone experienced problems with loading D800 files onto the iPad using the camer connector kit?  I have tried both RAW and JPEG using SDHC and CF cards and the iPad(3) doesnt recognise any of the files.

Has anyone experienced problems with downloading Nikon D800 files to the iPad3 using the camer connector kit?  I have tried .RAW and JPEG (of various sizes) on both SD and CF cards, but the iPad doesn't recognise the files.
I have seen various forums discussing Lightroom and PSE updates that are required to process .NEF files but I can't find anything on the iPad/camera connector issue.
I dont have any problem if I put the SD card straight into the SD slot in my iMac and Aperture will process the files fine, but I would really like to be able to download and view files on the move on the iPad.
    Any advice appreciated?
PS - saw something that suggested the iPad had a maximum file size of 16mb for photos, not sure if this is correct, but I have tried smaller JPEG files and they still aren't recognised.

If your camera supports both PTP and Mass Storage Device modes, it may be necessary to use both modes to import all media content.
If some files do not import as expected using one mode, try switching to the other mode and importing again.
Note: Some cameras may refer to PTP as Pictbridge or PTP/Pictbridge.
