Loading drivers in java

hai
I have a doubt about the location from where certain drivers are loaded in java.
for example
"sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver " in the case of loading database driver
and
com.sun .image.codec.jpeg.JPEGCodec in the case of jpeg encoding
I can't find it in the java documentation or in the java directory
Can you explain how these are loaded ?
Thanks

The first one is part of the JRE. Probalby in rt.jar, but possibly in a different jar that's included with the JRE.
Second one I'm not familiar with, but I'd guess the same.
Assuming they are rt.jar or some jar file that's in the lib/ext directory, the VM knows where to find them as part of its default configuration--it looks in those places (relative to where it's installed, I think) by default.

Suddenly itunes stopped loading. I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it but it wont load saying the Java sript core.dll is not valid. What do i do to fix this? And will i be able to get my downloads back?

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (Although the procedure is for Vista and 7 and you've got XP, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

  • Unable to load drivers on Windows 7 64 bit - HP OfficeJet Pro L7590

Unable to load drivers on my PC, once worked after cleaning up my PC reloaded latest software from HP download.  Fails everytime via USB tried also direct network connect same result.  Tried uninstall and reinstall including trying to stop windows update from installing driver, this still happens from local directory.  Tried installing software with printer unplugged first, still not working.
    Any help would be great!
    Frank

First! Thank you in advance for your help, suggestions, and assistance! I use an All-In-One under HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless. My computer keeps telling me I need drivers on it for my printer. My Desktop computer is an HP p7 1030. Please help me...tried everything I know. Also, my HP printer will not print in blue. What should print out blue, comes out in a light red or pink. If it's supposed to come out red, it comes out in red, just fine. In addition, I've purchased new cartridges and many times I purchase the 940 XL and the cartridges don't last nearly what they are advertised to last. Very disappointing. I need your help and will greatly appreciate any suggestions you have for me! Thank you! Bette

  • Solaris 10 won't boot up "Cannot load drivers for /pci@400.....

This is the error message that I am getting on a Solaris 10 sparc server
    scsi: no major number
    cannot load drivers for /pci@400.....
    Can't load the root filesystem
    Type 'go' to resume
    {0} ok
Is there a way for me to correct this issue. It looks like I am missing a scsi driver to boot up the server? Is there a way to boot into single user mode, mount the filesystem and rediscover the hardware, etc.....

First i guess you have to verify that you can find the disks with a probe-scsi-all
next you can boot it of a CD-rom/dvd into single-user:
    boot cdrom -s
.. or similar into single-user from a jumpstart image:
    boot net -s
Then you can mount the root disk under something such as:
    /mnt
    and rebuild the config with:
    devfsadm -R /mnt
be careful if you have a mirrored filesystem though, you don't want to update just one of the mirrors without first breaking the mirror..
    .7/M.

  • Does ATS load testing support Java RMI and  T3 protocol?

    Hi Experts,
Does ATS load testing support Java RMI and T3 protocol or EJB(J2EE)?
    Thanks!

    Joseph,
Oracle Application Testing Suite is mainly used for testing of applications from a end user perspective and offers an intuitive capture/replay for web, Siebel, EBS, JDE, Fusion apps or SOA based application through WebServices WSDL imports.
The scripting environment (Oracle OpenScript) does not support script creation by recording JAVA RBI or T3 protocol as we lack a recorder for it, but the scrips are created as pure JAVA code so you could use the JAVA language to write a small RMI cor T3 client for your testing.
We have customers that have used Application Testing Suite to test non-UI based testing, like: JMS, FTP, Tuxedo and others, but it require a bit of coding.
Please let me know if you would like to know more or discuss your options
    regards

  • How to load drivers in Windows 8 Recovery Environment??

    Hi everyone,
I'm really stuck here with my HP dv7t-7200 laptop.. I'm running Windows 8 Pro (64-bit) & after a Windows Update reboot, I can't get to the start screen. The spinning balls continue for hours & hours. I know there's a recent restore point that I can
restore to, but I'm having trouble accomplishing this..
My laptop has a RAID array, so I need to load the storage driver in order for the Windows Recovery Environment to be able to see the hard drives. I don't see any options for doing this, can someone please help..? Here's where I'm at step-by-step:
    1) Boot from Windows 8 DVD
    2) Choose "Repair this computer"
    3) Choose "Troubleshoot"
    4) Choose "Advanced Options"
    5) Choose "System Restore"
Step (5) gives an error message : "To use System Restore,  you must specify which Windows installation to restore. Restart this computer, select an operating system, and then select System Restore"
I believe this is occurring b/c
Windows, as booted from DVD, can't see the logical hard drive. If I could figure out how to load the Intel storage driver from USB, I think Window-on-DVD would be able to find the restore point on my hard drive. In Windows 7 Recovery, there's an option to
"Load drivers" during a repair operation. Where is this option in Windows 8?
Here are further troubleshooting steps I tried, based on Internet search results:
    A) How do I mount the USB stick (which has the RAID driver for the laptop)? The following link is old, but the steps work. I stopped after step 6.
Internet search : windows command prompt mount usb
    http://www.ehow.com/how_8541121_mount-usb-drives-windows-xp.html
    B) After navigating to the mounted USB drive & appropriate folder, how do I load the RAID driver for the laptop? The following link suggests to use pnputil.exe, but this program won't run in my Windows 8 DVD recovery environment command prompt.
In any case, is it true that if & when I'm finally able to load the RAID driver, then DISKPART should be able to mount the drive & System Restore should see the Windows installation & offer to repair it?
Internet search: load windows drivers from command prompt
    http://superuser.com/questions/531594/windows-how-to-install-driver-from-recovery-command-prompt
    Any help appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Brad

Sergey: WOW & thanks, you are definitely the man! I want you to know that you've solved a problem that three levels of MS tech support haven't been able to work out..
I worked with a level 2 tech agent for several days, 20 minutes at a time. He was going back & forth with level 3 support staff, getting ideas from them & passing on to me. The level 2 guy finally told me it's not possible to load drivers during a Windows
8 system restore & gave up on my support ticket.
The manager then called for customer satisfaction follow-up. He said he had confirmed that Windows 7 DVD had the ability to load drivers for System Restore, but unfortunately this feature was removed for Windows 8. I convinced him that even so, *someone* at
MS must know a way to to load drivers for System Restore. He said he'd take it on as a personal challenge & would find s/o to assist.
Shortly thereafter, I got a call from a guy saying he's in the Research department at MS. He was immediately familiar with my problem. He said that he had previously resolved it by breaking the RAID mirror in the BIOS, which would allow Windows 8 DVD to recognize
one of the drives as an ordinary SATA drive & then load a driver for it. As we started down that path in my BIOS, he became concerned that actually, breaking my RAID mirror might cause data loss. He said he'd get back to me (that was a couple of days ago)..
So the question in my original post is solved, thank you again.
P.S. I still can't get Windows 8 restored, and might after all just have to reinstall everything!
    1) I followed your instructions exactly & indeed, System Restore found the Windows 8 installation.
    2) I chose the latest restore point & executed the restore. Operation initialized successfully but then failed with a disk read error.
    3) I quit the Restore, which caused auto-reboot. I followed your steps again but navigated this time to Repair / Troubleshooting / Advanced Options / Command Prompt
    4) I ran DISKPART, then "list volumes" to determine boot drive letter = E: (on my system)
    5) I exited diskpart, verified I was on a non-boot drive, & ran "chkdsk E: /X /F"
    6) "Corrections to the file system" were made
    7) For good measure, I ran "bootrec /FixMbr" & then "bootrec /FixBoot"
    8) I exited the command prompt & navigated to System Restore. Same error message.
    9) I followed your steps again, but navigated to Automatic Repair.
    10) Automatic Repair -> "Windows couldn't load correctly"

Hmmm....   I haven't seen that, but I can tell you what I would do if I were you.  This is kind of drastic, but the alternative may be a workstation reimage.
Open the windows control panel, and open the add/remove programs snap in.
    Uninstall the CRS editor.
Uninstall all the JRE instances you have.  They may be listed as something like Java (TM) update....   or they may appear as J2SE Runtime....   Check in the J's (it's alphabetical) and uninstall all of them.
    Reboot the machine.
Download and reinstall Java 1.6.0.17   (This is what's running on my workstation right now, and it works with the editor).
    Reinstall the CRS editor
    Reboot the machine
Try it and see if it behaves.  If it doesn't, you may need to rebuild the whole thing.

New PC with Asus P8Z77-V LX mobo. i5 cpu. windows 7 64bit OS.  runs fine with its on board graphics.
I installed 2GB MSI HD7850 oc . system boots and I get video out from new card.
When I load drivers and system reboots, windows will not load and I have to use system restore to bring PC back to life.
I tried driver from CD with card, and also downloaded latest from both AMD and MSI same result
Anyone know where I am going wrong?

ok so the card if functioning so i would suggest (got the same sort of card on this computer that you use) >>Driver Fusion<< in safe mode to wipe the drivers and fragments from your system and use AMD CCC 12.10 drivers http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/previous/12/Pages/radeon.aspx?os=Windows%20Vista%20-%2064-Bit%20Edition&rev=12.10 as i'm using them myself as the newer ones caused my computer to have all kinds of issues in windows 7 64bit!
if they don't work you could have a go at updating your motherboards BIOS then the graphics cards VBIOS!

    Hi All,
i am facing this error in the SOA composite created for approval. I think it is the either the access of the keystore file or the keystore file itself is corrupted. Any pointers on this would be great!
Also, can someone let me know how do we create the new keystore for this and map the new keystore to the composite?
FYI - The same composite is working in an other environment.

Try to execute the following command:
    $JAVA_HOME/bin/keytool -list -keystore /app/oracle/product/ofm/user_projects/domains/IAM_domain/config/fmwconfig/default-keystore.jks -storepass PASSWORD_OF_THE_DEFAULT_KEYSTORE
If the KeyStore entries are displayed, at least this much can be sure that the KeyStore is not corrupt or tampered with.
With incorrect password, you will receive: keytool error: java.io.IOException: Keystore was tampered with, or password was incorrect
If PASSWORD_OF_THE_DEFAULT_KEYSTORE is correct, and the default-keystore.jks is not corrupt, it may be possible that in the Credential store, somehow password may be incorrect.
So, log in the Enterprise Manager console (http://hostname:7001/em), Weblogic Domain --> IAM_Domain --> Right Click --> Security --> Credentials --> oim.
Then edit the password of default-keystore.jks And then restart the servers.
