Loading file in Merge Mode through the batch loader in FDM

Hi,
I have multiple locations loading in replace mode and 1 location loading in merge. We are using the batch loader and following the naming convention specified in the admin guide. Is there a way to specify in the location name to load the file to HFM in merge mode, or does that location need a seperate adapter with the load rule set to merge?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

You dont need a spearate adaptor. You can achieve this by changing the naming of the files. I believe u currently use RR option for replacing the data. (seq_<Location>_<Category>_<Peiod>_RR.txt). You can use A or R appropriately in your load method.

Is it possible to have two USB drives for the IPad? I want to bring RAW files from my camera through the IPad and out to an external hard drive. Can I put the SD card in the device and also hook the external hard drive to the USB port of the accessory and download from the camera to the hard drive? Can I put Lightroom or the Nikon photo editing software on the IPad? Right now I carry a PC laptop and external hard drives with me on wildernes trips. Internet and WiFi are not available. Because I shoot so many photos and they're in RAW I need to download from the camera to the external drive because I run out of memory on the PC (and it has much more memory than the IPad). I have Nikon NX software and lightroom on my PC. I'd love to be able to reduce the weight I carry by using the IPad to edit my photos each night while on trips. No, the camera connection kit only supports the copying of photos and videos to the Photos app, it doesn't support copying content off the iPad. For your second camera instead of the SD reader part of the kit, does the iPad to camera cable not work with it for direct transfer to the iPad ?
For Lightroom and Nikon software again no - you can only install apps that are available in the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app on the iPad, 'normal' PC and Mac (OS X) software are not compatible with the iPad (iOS). There are some apps that perform fairly basic editing functions that are available in the store, but nothing as sophisticated as, for example, Lightroom.

My page generates an Excel file but sometimes fails if the page loads to slowly...

I'm having a problem generating an Excel file using CF and
looping over a bunch of queries to get a table of data to display
to the user. This is slow but works fine except for an instance
recently where the page seems to be loading but after a few minutes
it stops and says "the page cannot be displayed". The error leads
me to believe it is a server error and not a CF error but I'm not
sure. I don't have timeout checked in my CF Admin so that should
mean that I can request pages for as long as I need to right?
I'm using the cfheader and cfcontent to dynamically generate
an Excel spreadsheet from my HTML. I tried using the cfflush tag
and that seemed to help since it pushes content to the browser
during the page load but it doesn't work with the cfheader and
cfcontent tags.
So then I tried using the cfsavecontent tag and then save the
HTML to a file but again I couldn't use the cfflush tag inside the
cfsavecontent tag so now I'm stuck.
The page DOES load when I run in on my local machine with MX
6.1 Developer Edition and SQL Server Personal Edition. It DOES NOT
work when I run it on my production server that then calls my
separate database server. I'm wondering if there is a timeout (non
CF) set somewhere on the productions server or the database server
or if there is some sort of limit to the amount of data you can
transfer between servers?
I'm totally stumped now so any advice is greatly
appreciated!

That didn't work for me and the page times out right about 5
minutes (300 seconds). I don't have timeout checked in the CF
Administrator so I don't think it is CF that is causing the
timeout. I checked IIS also and the timeout is set to 900 seconds.
Is there a possibility that SQL Server has some sort of
connection limit and I'm using too many cfquery tags? If anyone has
experienced a similar problem I would really appreciate the help,

I have just downloaded the latest version and some sites are part loading then taking ages to complete the page load. why and can you or I do anything about it please.

latest version loads the main banner of page then takes too much time loading the content of page > I have even had to stop the page loading and refresh before it will load properly> I did not experience this before installing the latest version the pages used to load insantaneously. I am not the only one experiencing this as my friend has reverted back to explorer.

It could be caused by a Firewall. Disable your internet security and then see if QT will open.
Are you an administrator account? It could be a permissions issue. Open the User Accounts control panel to see what type of account you have. Open the QT control panel to File Types. Does it show programmatically set? If so that will indicate permissions have been set by an administator.
Also are there too many applications running at once or loading at start up? Look down at the bottom right corner of the screen, is it loaded with icons? If so close them all out and stop them from running at start up, then see if QT will open. The only application that should load at start up is your internet security and maybe volume control, anything else you can open as needed.
If none of the above is a solution than I can help you uninstall QT and install, if so what version of QT is on the computer now. Open the QT control panel and click on About QuickTime

The data values for columns RECORD_ID and INSERT_DT are not present in the data file. The first one is planned to insert with the sequence created in database. While the second one is inserted based on the SYSDATE function of the database.
Please guide me how to specify so that I can insert the sysdate for the INSERT_DT column.

When opening Lightroom files as layers in Photoshop, the layers load, then disappear

I am trying to open as layers in photoshop, but the layers disappear after the last one loads.

I can open my new InDesign files by going up through the menu and opening that way, but when I try to just double click on an InDesign file I get error messages telling me that certain plugins aren't available.

I upgraded my Mac a few weeks ago to 10.10.2 Yosemite, and I joined the Adobe cloud so I could get access to all the new apps. I read a blurb somewhere about converting older InDesign files to the new CC version I'd have to open the old files in my old InDesign CS3, export to an ins file, then open that file in the new InDesign CC, then export it again to an idml file, then open that file and you shouldn't have any of the usual conversion problems. For the first few files I had to convert, it worked just fine. Now for some reason, whenever I try to open one of these converted files just by double-clicking on the file itself, I get an error message that says, "The document ____ uses one or more plug-ins which are currently not available on your system. Do you want to open anyway?" When I click OK, then I get another error message that says, "Cannot open ____. Please upgrade your plug-ins to their latest versions, or upgrade to the latest version of Adobe InDesign." I thought this CC version of InDesign was the newest. Can somebody please tell me what gives with this? Any help will be very much appreciated.

Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC.

My MacBook Pro won't boot on the Mac side I get the gray screen and then halfway through the bar loading it turns off?

My MacBook Pro was downloading apps from iTunes and I shut the computer down at my I laws house or so I thought? When I pulled the computer out of my backpack it was still on? I tried to login and it kept spinning so I turned it off and now I only get a gray screen. I can boot it in the windows side and have an external hard drive with time machine backup on it but don't know how to load it without getting onto the Mac side?

8110 reboots halfway through the App Loader's OS restore

My 2-year-old 8110 has still got a PIN, can be seen from the Desktop Manager and AppLoader, and can even start receiving the OS restore...however, at random points during the upload, it reboots itself and so the AppLoader can't complete its final task. This leaves the device is some half-way status where nothing really works.
The rebooting at times happens immediately at the beginning of the OS restore, at other times later on, with the "record" being around 75% of the way.
I have tried all the hints, tips and tricks I could find: timed the AppLoader's start with the red light on the device, tried the restore with and without the battery and/or the SIM card, reinstalled the whole software on the PC from scratch after cleaning also the registry, used the Java device wiping application, the works.
Still, there is something (??) in the 8110 that is forcing it to reboot at random even if there is little of the OS inside (error 507). If anybody could point to any way to clear that issue at least, that'd be truly great!!
ps right now, the device is returning a JVM error 102 and a reset button that simply brings back to a JVM error 102

Everytime I click on a link and a new tab/window opens to open the link - i get an alert that says URL is not valid and cnnot be loaded. I click ok and the page loads fine. How do I get rid of this alert?

Actually the OP is running Firefox 3.6.8, but has a user agent that is corrupted by an extension (NET_mmhpset)
You can check the '''general.useragent''' prefs on the about:config page. 
You can open the '''about:config''' page via the location bar, just like you open a website. 
Filter: general.useragent 
If '''general.useragent''' prefs are bold (user set) then you can right-click that pref and choose Reset.

For performing file operations like insert, update, delete etc in bulk, we use the batch loader utility in WebCenter Content.
However, what is the parameter to specify into which folder in repository the documents get uploaded or deleted etc.

The wonderful world of Batch Loading - what's going on?

I'm having an issue with the batch loader. When I load a file using batch loader and the the same file manually executing the workflow I get two different datasets at the import stage. I have a single import script and it seems that it doesn't execute properley when the file is loaded via the batch loader but does when I perform a manual import. I can't think of any logical reason for this. The script is getting executed but only partially when the batch load is run. I make use of a FDM temporary variable in the script RES.PvarTemp1, and this is the only thing I can think of that may be failing. Do these work when the batch load is run? Has anyone else experienced similar problems with the batch loader and import script execution?
Any ideas are very welcome :-)

When you shot down your Mac, it may have installed a system update, that had been downloaded automatically.
Which version of MacOS X are you currently running? The newest MacOS X version 10.10.2 requires iPhoto 9.6.
Try to download and install the newest iPhoto version from the App Store "Featured" page.
