Loading internal video via strobe video swf loaded in htmlLoader in air

I'm trying to load some local video (app:/content/video/filename.flv) via the strobe video player loaded in an htmlLoader container. It seems that the file path is never found, I've tried loading it from the local server and it works, but I need it to load local video really, and I can't seem to get it to load passing it an app:/ in the flash vars reference.
i've added
html.runtimeApplicationDomain = ApplicationDomain.currentDomain;
but doesnt seem to do anything..
I read it may be possible in an I frame can anyone advise?
cheers
bob

Ok sorted it doing it in an iframe you can change the sandbox root and doc root to get the file from app:/
<iframe src="the_embed.html" class="strobemediaplayback-video-player" sandboxRoot="http://localhost/air/" documentRoot="app:/"type="text/html" width="500" height="350">
        </iframe>
then in the_embed
<object width="470" height="320"> <param name="movie" value="StrobeMediaPlayback.swf"><param name="flashvars"value="src=video.f4v&poster=poster.png"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed "video/StrobeMediaPlayback.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"width="470" height="320" flashvars="src=cideo.f4v&poster=poster.png&audioPan=1"></object>
however the posters are not working from the sandboxed domain...seems odd?

  • Internal Video Cable to VGA?

Does anyone make a cable or daughter card that will convert the internal video connection to a VGA connector?
With my LCD all gray and the sleep switch not working, I thought I'd see if there was a away to test the internal video before I take the screen back off.
    Thanks

Hi, Severian. I gather that you are trying to determine 1) whether or not the video circuitry on your logic board is generating usable display data, and 2) if it is, where that data is disappearing: at the connection between the video data cable and the logic board; somewhere in the cable; or in the display itself.
Step one is to verify that the video signal from the video processor is usable for display purposes. Since the Video Out port is also soldered to the logic board, there is no place save in the LB itself for that signal to go missing between the video processor and the port. Therefore, connecting a known-good external display to the port with a known-good cable will quickly tell you whether there's a usable video signal being generated. I gather that you've done that test and verified that your on-board video circuitry is working.
Since the external display works normally, the most likely suspect is the data cable from the LB to the built-in display; the other possibility is the LCD display itself. First, verify that the cable is properly connected: disconnect and reconnect it securely and test again. If the connection is OK, the cable may be damaged either outside or (far less likely) inside the display bezel. It's a complex and delicate cable, actually a bundle of separate tiny coaxial cables. Pinching, sharp bending or twisting, stretching or abrasion can destroy it very easily. All of these things are most likely to happen where the cable passes through the display hinge. Inspect it very carefully with a hand lens, but be mindful that the actual damage may not be visible even if its probable location is.
The cable connects to the LCD inside the display bezel, of course, and the bezel is glued together, with the expectation that it will never be disassembled. If something goes wrong with the cable (or the other two cables that run from the computer into the bezel, one for the backlight and one for the sleep light), an Apple technician's remedy is to replace the entire display unit, including all three cables ($$$). Some bold do-it-yourselfers, reluctant to pay for a new LCD when a bad cable or backlight may be their only problem, have figured out ways to dismantle the display bezel while keeping the inevitable cosmetic damage to a minimum. One such procedure is nicely documented here. The disassembly is not for the fainthearted.
I should also point out that my sleep switch is bad on the laptop so that is why I'm so determined to get the internal video to work.
Sorry, but I don't follow. What is the relationship?
As it stands right now, the login in screen is being diplayed on the laptop screen so I can't even login in to change the video over.
My understanding was that you had nothing but gray on the built-in display. Please clarify.

Video calls are only possible when you call someone on your Contacts list (Skype-to-Skype).
    Skype-to-Skype calls are free worldwide.

  • Can't embed a Captivate video (swf) into Power Point 2007

I am trying to embed an Adobe Captivate video (swf) into power Point 2007. I very carefully followed all the steps outlined from a search I did on the web and it is not working.
These are the steps I followed:
    1. Create a simulation using Adobe Captivate and publish it as a SWF file.
    2. Open the PowerPoint presentation and insert a blank slide for adding simulation.
    3. We need to work with the Developer tab now. If you can't see it in the ribbon, follow these steps to make it visible.
    (steps to get developer)
4.On the developer tab, in the Controls group, click More Controls
    5. In the list of controls, click Shockwave Flash Object and click OK.
    6. Drag diagonally to create a box in which the simulation would appear. Don't worry about sizing it accurately; you can adjust it later as well.
    7. Right click the Shockwave Flash Object, and then click Properties.
    8. On the Alphbetic tab, click the Movie property. In the value columnm type the full drive path, including the file name.
    9. Set the Playing property to true, Loop to false and Embed Movie to true.
    10. Close the Properties dialog and test the movie.
The simulation will now play in your PowerPoint presentation.
Note: If during the slideshow,t he simulation doesn't play automatically, right-click and select Play.
I followed these steps, and it is just not working. I go to play my power point presentation and set it to play from the beginning, and when it gets to the slide with the swf file, I just get a faded out still picture of the video, and it will not play.  If someone has had luck with embedding swf files from Captivate into Power Point, please let me know how you did it.   Thanks.

Thanks, I really appreciate the information. The only problem is that I have to keep it as a power point presentation.   I convert from ppt to a video, so I need to keep it as power point.
I found these steps on the internet and followed them exactly, and went through the steps 3 times, to make sure I wasn't leaving anything out, and it just didn't work. I have a tech guy who's supposed to call me today regarding this issue, and hopefully he'll be able to go through it with me step by step to try and work it out.
Ultimately, these are going to be training videos that are going to be set up on a website, so they ultimately have to be saved as videos.
I'm keep trying to figure it out though.
    Thanks.

  • Internal video camera on e90

For those of you with an e90 communicator, preferably here in the US -- even though I understand such population is small -- have you figured out / found other applications to take advantage of the internal video camera? Not the one on the outside of the phone. I'm referring to the one that is on the inside cover, top left corner as the phone is fully opened.
I've looked at some of the postings here but have not found much.  When I originally bought my e90 this feature sounded awesome.  However, I've yet to use it.  I'm on T-mobile with an unlimited data plan but as hard I've tried to rig a video call I've gotten nothing.  Just curious if A) there are other apps I could / should use? And B) how others might be using this feature.
    Thank you in advance.

Did anyone find an application? Does anyone know if skype works for a video call?
    Thanks

  • RS480M2 shutdown of internal video

When using built-in video radiator on north chipsets was warmed not much powerfully, when using external video it become be warmed before the temperature under which impossible for he holds. How to switch off internal video that part has charge of she did not work and is strictly reduced general temperature chipset.

Photos loaded directly onto ipad air using Apple camera connection kit, do not show up on PC anywhere when synced using itunes

They won't show in iTunes (iTunes is only used to copy photos to a device, not copy them off), but you should be able to copy them off either manually via My Computer (the iPad should show as a camera) or via windows camera wizard or windows live photo gallery depending upon your OS version.

  • How to load matlab on macbook air

how to load matlab on macbook air?

There are two ways to use Windows on your Mac. The first is to partition the internal drive so that you can use one part for MacOS and the other for Windows, selecting which you want to use when you start up. That's called Boot Camp, and information about how to set it up and use it can be found in the document at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1461 The disadvantage of this is that you can only run Mac or Windows at any given time, not both.
The other method is to use what is known as a 'virtual machine', to run Windows as if it were just another application within MacOS, thus allowing you to run both at the same time, and even share documents between them. To do this you'll need appropriate software such as VMware Fusion (http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/overview.html) or Parallels Desktop (http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/) Neither of these need the drive to be partitioned, but unlike Boot camp which is free, VMware or Parallels are both commercial software.
Whichever solution you use, you'll also need a Windows installer and valid product license.

  • Posting to internal order via ME23n - PO

I have set up the releavant budget profiles, linked to the internal order and activated the budget control via KO22 as well.
When posting to the internal order via FI, F-02, I can get the warning message set if I have burst the budget for the internal order. However, when i post to the internal order through PO, there was no warning message display when I saved the PO.
Why is this so ? Can the warning or error messge appears in the MM module when rasing the PO if the order has burst the budget ?
    Please advise

  • Size limit for how much video can be included in an AIR file?

I'm making an AIR app to play a video locally.  It is on a PC with no internet connection, so the video (fv4) is  included with the air install file.  Is there a size limit for how much  video can be included in an AIR file? I seem to get the "...file is  damaged..." error when I include a video over 200mb. I use Flash CS4 to  create and AIR is v 1.53.

I'm authoring in CS4 on a MAC with the latest OS and 4GB ram.  It plays fine on the Mac.  On a WIN7 PC with all updates and 4GB ram I get the errors if the air file that contains a video file over 200mb.  I heard that AIR 2 should solve the issue and that it is just a PC issue.. Maybe...   I have not tried using ADT to package the file.

  • How can I use migration assistant to load my new Macbook Air?

How do I use migration assistant to load my new Macbook Air?  Can this be done only wirelessly?

No, you can transfer from a Mac wirelessly, wired ethernet, Thunderbolt or Firewire. Your older Mac must have the same connection, but you can use adaptors if necessary. For example, you can use an Ethernet cable with an Ethernet-Thunderbolt adaptor if your older Mac has an ethernet port.
Wireless tends to be pretty slow (can take many hours) so it's recommended to choose a wired connection whenever you can.
