Local BlazeDS acting as proxy for remote LCDS/BlazeDS using remoting service

Hi,
We are developing a product in Adobe AIR. We are considering BlazeDS/LCDS for the backend.
At client locations, one or more machines on which the product is installed may not have access to internet. I am wondering if we can point the client application to a local BlazeDS which can act as a proxy for a remote BlazeDS.
Especially, what if we use Remoting, instead of HTTPService or Web Service.
What about publish/subscribe messaging?
Thanks in advance,
Tanmay Dalvi

  • 1405975 - Minimum Authorization Profile for Remote Service Delivery

In the document described in the header SAP Customers are asked to provide a logon user for SAP Remote Service Delivery.
Due to security concerns, customers wish to grant restricted authorizations only.
The minimal autorizations required have been described by SAP in a Z_BASIC_SERVICE_V1.zip file.
Its there that I noticed the requirement for the SE93 transactioncode.
With SE93 you can assign transactioncodes to your account and create new ones.
I realy can't match this requirement with 'restricted autorizations only'.
    Am I missing something?

    Hi,
If you think SE93 authorization should be restricted, then you can remove this from the role. As far I know, SE93 authorization is not necessary for remote service delivery. It is one of the 'good-to-have' authorization not the compulsory one.

  • Timeout value for remote service

We are running Tuxedo 6.5 on a Unix Sun Solaris system. We are also
using the SNA eLink Facility to access
CICS Transactions on a OS/390 Host System. We have Remote Domain
    Service Definitions
    (DM_REMOTE_SERVICES) for each CICS Transaction.
In the UBBCONFIG file we did define a application-wide timeout
value of 90 seconds (BLOCKTIME). But
a few transactions can run up to 4 Minutes. I don't really want
    to increase the Blocktime value.
Does anybody know, if there is a way to specify a timeout value
    for specific remote services.

    Hi Richard,
    Thanks for your answer.
I did some testing with the TRANTIME parameter, but
our application is still acting the same way.
I think the TRANTIME parameter only works with AUTOTRAN
    set to Y.
    Any other ideas ?

  • Direct Access is working but how do I configure it for remote services, client management software, etc..

    Good morning/afternoon/evening TechNet,
I've finally gotten a DA client connected to the corporate network utilizing an external network. I'm having a couple issues, one, not being able to ping the server from a computer that's on the same domain(I'm able to ping the DA client from the DA server).
I'm not sure if there is a firewall setting that needs to be open on the client for incoming echo requests? Second, we use a client management system called BMC and I would like the direct access server to be able to utilize the BMC server so that I can manage
the DA client whenever its on the network. I noticed on the DA server that "Step 3" offers an area where it allows you to add servers that will be used for direct access client management. Would I just need to populate the server in here and then
open appropriate firewall rules so that the DA server has access to them? Lastly, Trying to "mstsc" into the DA client what would I need to open up on both sides so that I'm able to do this?
Sorry about the horrible grammar but I've been up 24+ hours getting this awesome but pain in the butt Direct Access feature working.
    Thank you as always!
    -Liqsh0t

I'm afraid it's a bit more complicated than adding a server into the list in Step 3 :)
When a DirectAccess client is connecting into a corporate network that is IPv4 (I assume yours is, most are), it can reach into your IPv4 servers because the DA server is doing NAT64/DNS64 translations, turning all of your DirectAccess IPv6 packets into
IPv4 packets before they head inside the network. But even though this happens in the background without you really knowing about it, the key thing there is that all DirectAccess traffic is IPv6. This means the clients can only be contacted via IPv6. If you
have IPv6 inside your network, then you can route outbound fairly easily to your DA client computers. If you are all IPv4 inside as most companies are, then you have to either roll IPv6 out inside your network, at least partially, or you have to utilize ISATAP
inside your network in order to create a sort of "virtual IPv6 cloud" that runs on top of your IPv4 internal network. This enables your internal management systems (like the BMC servers and helpdesk computers for RDP access outbound) to have a connection
into the IPv6 world, which then enables them some routing capability to get out to the IPv6-connected DA clients. In addition to this IPv6 or ISATAP setup, you also need to configure WFAS rules on the DA clients so that they will allow this traffic.
There is some info on setting up ISATAP here: http://blogs.technet.com/b/jasonjones/archive/2013/04/19/limiting-isatap-services-to-directaccess-manage-out-clients.aspx
Otherwise one of the chapters in this book is also dedicated to the setup of a selective ISATAP environment, to be used for the purposes of DirectAccess outward management: https://www.packtpub.com/virtualization-and-cloud/microsoft-directaccess-best-practices-and-troubleshooting

  • Why we need a proxy server while we are using Web services?

    Hi guys,
i am new to web service.
i tried to implement the web services thru Sun One Application server.
thru one of my web service operation only i am establishing connection with the database.
by that time it has thrown the exception "*connection with the host could not be established*".
but i created a proxy setting thru netbeans and the the database connection established.
    What is the difference?
When i tried to conect with database thru a normal java program i never created a proxy.
Why i need in case of web service.
For kind information: We have firewall in the network...
can any one tell me briefly What is the need of proxy setting over there???
    thanx,
    subbu

    hi guys,
after a long struggle, i found the answer for this question.
that is In Sun One Application Server, we have the WS-Plugin (Web Server Plugin)
that plugin is used to redirect the HTTP request to a Web Server from the Application server.
In default this plugin will be in enable mode.
As long as WS-plugin is enabled, we need to proxy setting to handle any HTTP service.
    is i am right?
if anyone have better solution that this, pls post that here.

  • Problem while refreshing the data for the second time using excel services in sharepoint 2013...

    Hi,
I have migrated my Sharepoint from 2010 to 2013.I am able to get the data at the first time of refresh when I click on refresh for the second time I am getting the empty the sheet.
below find the flow of refresh
    First Refresh
On Click of refresh open the workbook with excel services and return the session id.
Using that session I am invoking RefrehAsync method of excel services
After refresh completed I am setting the calculation of workbook as automatic(to calculate the formulas) using the same session id
After setting the calculation as Automatic I am setting the calculation type as full(recalculate) using the same session id.
Now I am able to see the data
    Second Refresh
After clicking on refresh instead of opening the workbook I am using the session id(already opened workbook) and setting the calculation type as manual
I am following the same process from refresh(RefreshAsync) as I have followed in first refresh.
This time my formulas are not getting calculated because of that I am not able to see the data.
Could you please let me know that am I missing anything here?
Is this know issue in Sharepoint2013 excel services as same code is working fine with Sharepoint2010.
If I close the workbook(session id null) and opens(new session id) for all the refreshes it is working and I am able to see the data.
    Thanks,

I am able to see the data for the second refresh  if I change the data source. If I use the same data source which is used in the first refresh I am not getting the data.Excel services will contact the cubes and calculate the formulas in my workbook.
Could you please let me know what could be the problem at second refresh while contacting the same data source with same session id?
    Please help me asap.

  • Why can't I wait for Mtn Lion to use iCloud services?

I have an MBP running Snow Leopard, a new iPad and an original iPad, and an iPhone 3G.  I have been a MobileMe user from its inception.  I haven't wanted to "upgrade" to Lion on the MBP, but will jump over it to Mountain Lion in July.  I've read the workaround by Wilmer(?) for moving my me.com mail account to iCloud while still at 10.6.8 (lie and say i'm running Lion) and should be able to handle that. I will miss my MobileMe Gallery but all photos are in my MBP's iPhoto folder anyway, and I've emptied my iDisk folders.  I do sync calendar and contacts via MobileMe among all my devices, but as long as I'm sure that both are "on my Mac" before 30/06/2012, shouldn't I be able to lose MobileMe and wait until late July to formally make my MBP "compatible with iCloud" by purchasing Mtn Lion thru the App Store? I realize the iPhone 3G is "legacied-out".  But, will my wife's original iPad be able to sync calendars and contacts via iCloud, like it does now via MobileMe, if I wait as I've described?  BTW, we are US ex-pats living in Mérida, Yucatán, México.  No Apple Store, albeit there are authorized resellers.  Pero, no tengo suficiente español para hablar mucho con "technos" sobre ésta pregunta.

As regards your Mac, the process you describe will work. I can't advise on whether an original iPad can access iCloud - probably not, as iOS 5 is required, but I don't know whether it's upgradeable: someobdoy else may chip in, or you could ask in the iPad forum.

  • Solution Manager prepared for the Remote Service Delivery?

In preparation of GoingLive Session, we received a mail with some questions. Among them the following:
Is your Solution Manager prepared for the Remote Service Delivery? Yes/No
Is the solution transferred to SAP?: Yes/No
What does the first question mean? what should be done to prepare the Solman for session delivery?
How do I check if the solution is transferred to SAP?
    Thanks a lot,
        Dino

    Hello Dino,
The SAP Solution Manager is a platform for the delivery of services for the following areas:
    ●     Risk minimization
    ●     Optimization of SAP solutions
    ●     Knowledge transfer
Services in the SAP Solution Manager are services which help you to monitor and optimize the performance and availibility of your system landscapes and minimize your system operation risks.
You can have the support services performed by SAP or perform them yourself:
    ●     Remote Services
SAP experts deliver this service type via a remote connection (SAP Safeguarding Services, e.g. SAP GoingLive Check).
For checking whether solution manager is prepared for remote service delivery u need to check the following.
    Prerequisites
    You have:
    ●     created a solution.
    ●     set-up a connection to the SAP Service Marketplace (Explorer).
    Procedure
           1.      Choose the transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER.
           2.      Choose Delivery of SAP Services ® Service Plan, in Operations.
           3.      Choose Order Service from SAP.
You go to the Service Catalog.
           4.      Choose the link to the service.
The system goes to the catalog entry of the service, in the SAP Service Marketplace.
           5.      Follow the procedure described in the SAP Service Marketplace.
    =============================================
Solution transfered to SAP means that the u have done the configuration, testing and validation of the SAP system components and then transfered this to the satellite systems connected to Solman. Please note that solman is the central point of access for supporting implementation activities and the satellite systems are SAP systems comnected to solman in the landscape.
Hope this helps. Please assign points and let me know if u need anything specific.

  • Rejecting IPSec tunnel: no matching crypto map entry for remote proxy

    Hi!
I have already search for this but didn't get an exact answer I'm looking for so I try asking it again (if there is the same question).
I'm in process of migrating some VPN tunnels with  from a Cisco router to an ASA, everything will keep the same but just the peering IP address. However, some of the tunnel was being torn down since it request for a proxy doesn't match the one configured on our side. And the remote peer said there is no such issue on the previous platform, but now they need to reset the tunnel from time to time.
Apr 18 2013 07:29:10 asa002 : %ASA-3-713061: Group = 192.168.1.226, IP = 192.168.1.226, Rejecting IPSec tunnel: no matching crypto map entry for remote proxy 192.168.1.226/255.255.255.255/0/0 local proxy 10.10.9.81/255.255.255.255/0/0 on interface outside

The remote peer said they did not change the proxy id on their side so it is possibly the old platform will just not setting up the SA without torn down the tunnel while the ASA on the new platform will torn down if there is any mismatch.
Anyway I have requested the remote side to remove those unmatched entried to avoid the tunnel being torn down, but if there any configuration that is related to this issue? i.e. Just bring up the SA with matched addresses and ignore others, instead of torn down the tunnel.
    Thanks!!

Are you trying to send traffic destined towards the internet from 172.16.0.0/20 via this ASA as well? why? are you inspecting those traffic before being sent out to the internet?
If so, this end also needs to be configured with "any" as well --> crypto ACL needs to mirror image.

  • LDAP vs local login for remote access

    Hi Team,
I am evaluating the best means for single factor authentication for remote access (client to site or SSL VPN). The options I see are creating local usernames and password or integration with Active Directory via LDAP. What are the pros and cons of these solutions.
I feel local logins are more secure comparitavely because the user first login using local login and password and then has to use the domain credentials for accessing corporate resources. Of course, this comes at an admistrator overload and local management of user names and passwords. Do you have any opinion on this? Any acknowledgement will be highly appreciated.

    Hello Manoj,
IMO, I would never consider the LOCAL DB as an option for a corporate deployment. It does not scale and it is not easy to manage.
Local DB is used in case you need to manage a number of 15 users for instance, so in this case it is managable, but when it comes to a higher number it is not an option.
Active Directory is a better solution since it is meant to handle hundred of users and allows password-management for instance. Also you can have many ASA devices, performing DB bindings and queries to check the users credentials to the AD servers, so you don't need to deal with tons of user accounts on each ASA, for instance.
If you are looking for a more secure way to authenticate your users you can consider two-factor authentication using certificates for instance:
    AnyConnect Certificate Based Authentication.
    Why to use AD:
    Pros
    Scalable.
    Easy to manage.
    Allows password-management.
    Cons:
    Expensive (not open AD solution).
    HTH.

  • JRE proxy bypass for local addresses always bypasses proxy

    Hi all,
I'm currently dealing with an issue with the proxy configuration in java.
Situation: I need a proxy server to connect to the internet, and I have some addresses configured in Internet Explorer that bypass the proxy.
example of the way I configured it : *.google.com;212.115.*;62.69.179.198
The address that I am trying to reach is not in the bypass list, or in any of the excluded ranges in the bypass list.
Initially I had java configured using browser settings. I thought it did not pick up the browser settings at all.
However after configuring the proxy manually in java it was still not working.
During the research I came to the conclusion that as soon as I enable the "bypass proxy server for local addresses" in Internet Explorer, or manually in java.
The JRE client automatically bypasses the proxy and is always using "proxy=direct" . As soon as I disable that feature it starts using the proxy server.
I have no idea why this is happening ?

Your message was an eye opener for me. Thanks!
You were right, that option shouldn't be enabled. During testing I got confused and was told that option needed to be enabled to enable the exception list.
But that was a stupid assumption.
I disabled the option bypass proxy for local addresses and just filled in the exception list and now it works again.
