Local Logical System

Hi All,
This is my first post.
when I'm trying to create a business partner., there was an error message saying " Local Logical System is not defined / assigned ".  What is that exactly mean by? and What are the prior steps we need to take before creating a business partner.  Please reply to [email protected]
Thanks

Hi Venet,
Transaction SPRO (this is the IMG) and click on the glasses button (F5).
Under the following path:
-> Customer Relationship Management -> CRM Middleware and Related Components -> Communication Setup -> Set Up Logical Systems
Set up the logical system and then assign it to the client.  I suggest you read the document on the left of each section to understand what you are doing.

  • Post installation error "Local logical system is not defined"

    Hello everyone,
I freshly installed the latest SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial from scratch and like to configure ALE.
I followed thew steps of http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/EN/data/pdf/CABFAALEQS/CABFAALEQS.pdf
(ALE Quick Start) but cannot get through the following step on page 12:
From the R/3 Implementation Guide screen in TA SALE
      choose Basis
        Application Link Enabling (ALE)
          Modeling and Implementing Business Processes
Maintain Distribution Model and Distribute Views
Clicking on Maintain Distribution Model or using TA BD87, I immedeately get the following error:
The initialization of the logical system has failed.
With TA BD64 the error: Local logical system is not defined arises. I also looked at
    /people/swaroopa.vishwanath/blog/2007/01/22/ale-configuration-for-pushing-idocs-from-sap-to-xi,
    /people/vikash.krishna/blog/2006/10/15/replicating-hr-master-data-part-1 and
    /people/kevin.wilson2/blog/2006/11/13/ale-scenario-development-guide describing the same actions
to find an explanation, but without success
I assume, the error does not occur because the trial version does not support it, but
because of other post installation activities that must be done.
I already created two logical systems and assigned them to newly created clients 100 and 200,
but this did not have any impact on BD87 and BD64 as i was hoping.
Does somebody know what to do here?
Thanks in advance and kind regards,
    Andreas

    SAP Solution Manager
    - Basic Settings
       SAP Solution Manager System
        General Settings
         Maintain Logical Systems
After having maintained the logical systems, the error should not be displayed any longer.

  • Error: Local logical system is not defined

    Hello
Our scenario is File-XI-IDOC , wherein we connect to SAP R/3 Development server for posting IDOC’s
Now , we need to connect to SAP R/3 Quality server for posting the same IDOCs.
However, recently, the Quality system database was refreshed with production data completely Hence all the ALE configuration data in Quality tables got erased, due to which we are not able to send IDOCs to Quality
Now, we proceeded as follows :
    1. We set up Logical System in Quality
    2. We entered the partner profiles too
However when we goto transaction 'BD64' , it gives error as "Local logical system is not defined"
Hence we had to redistribute the profile from the sender system, and IDOC started being posted correctly
But, we need to know, why cannot we execute 'BD64' in Quality itself and also, will this have any impact on our IDOC posting
Further, if Quality is refreshed every now and then, do we need to repeat the above process each time or some other way is available to restore the ALE configuration data automatically
    Regards

  • Local logical system is not defined

    Hello
We are trying to setup a logical system  - created or defined the logical system
when we try the BD64 it gives out the error "Local Logical system not defined"
I am using ECC 6 version
IS there any way to bypass  and do the setup ?

    HI Anil,
Best Methodology for creating a RFC Destination that also includes setting up <b>Logical System</b> is:
    <b>Use Transaction -> SALE /b]
    1) <b>Define Logical system :</b>
Select Idoc Interface / Application Link Enabling (ALE) -> Basic Setting -> Logical System -> Define Logical System
    <b>
    2) Assign Client to Logical system:</b>
Select Idoc Interface / Application Link Enabling (ALE) -> Basic Setting -> Logical System -> Assign Logical System to Client
    <b>3) Create RFC Destination: T-CODE (SM59)</b>
Select Idoc Interface / Application Link Enabling (ALE) -> Basic Setting -> Communication -> Create Rfc Connection
Follow steps in sequence. Hope it answers every thing.

  • Local logical system is not defined-Maintenance Optimizer Config

    Hi,
When I try to configure Maintenance Optimizer in SAP Solution Manager 7, it gives me an error saying "Local logical system is not defined"
But I have created a Logical client using SCC4.
And the other thing is for this created client, does not have any users on this client, If I run,
    SQL> select bname, UFKLAG from sapsr3.usr02 where mandt='400';
    Answer is "no rows selected"
So I cannot even login in to my new client as well. I tried with SAP/PASS no use. I tried to re-set sap by deleteing it nothing helped.
my login/no_automatic_user_sapstar parameter also have 0 (But this is in Red, I dont know why its like that)
Please help me to rectify both these issues. Issue with Maintenance Optimizer and loggin in to the new client.
    Thank you!

First of all, 'Logical System' and 'Logical Client' are two different things.
    For Client Problem:
You did create a client in SCC4.
    1. did you create a logical system via BD54 and then did you assign that logical system to this newly created client ?
    2. did you perform a local client copy to put data into this new client from an old or from a standard client like 000 ?
If you didn't perform above two things, then please do. Only then, you will be able to see some data in this client and will be able to to select statements, And, obviously the SAP*/PASS login (login/no_automatic_user_sapstar should be 0 after reactivation of profile and restart of the instance)
    For MOpz issue:
Could you please search in sap marketplace for any particular note specific to MOpz ?

  • B2 001: Local logical system is not defined

    Experts,
I am new to SAP Installation.
I have created Purchase Orders in a newly installed IDES 6.0
It does not appear on the system immediately after saving. I had to go to SM13 to repeat updates before it can appear in ME23N.
I have even gone to SCC4 to edit the client settings to allow changes automatically. I still cannot see an improvement.
Is there anything I am doing wrong?
Do I need to reboot the server?
I posted this in NetWeaver Forum but was told it is the wrong forum.

    Garapati,

  • An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system

    Hello Experts,
I am trying post goods receipt in EWM system in a simple inbound delivery process. It is not getting posted back in ECC. I have my RFC connection setup properly(I assume since I was able to transfer inbound delivery to EWM in first place). It seems some setting related to Outbound queue in EWM is missing. Can anyone tell me in detail what settings are required? Is it something to do with WE20 transaction?I am not sure what settings should be done there. The error log is as below-
An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system
    SB3CLNT011
    Message No. B1550
    Diagnosis
An RFC destination should be specified for the logical system SB3CLNT011.
This could not be done in this case. SB3CLNT011 is not your local logical system
and this system is not included in the relevant Customizing tables.
    Procedure
    Check:
    RFC
    destination
    Port
    definitions
    oubound partner profile of
message type SYNCH for this logical system
    Regards,
    Khushboo

    Hi Oritra and Suraj,
I have checked remote connection in SM59 for both the logical system. It works fine.I understand this is more of a technical issue, but I don't have A local basis team to help me so reaching out to experts here. Can you guide me what technical settings could be checked for EWM-->ECC connection? When I execute BD82 for SB3CLNT011 it shows me green status with message "No messages have been defined for the selection conditions in the model".
Although when I do this for EWM logical system SB3CLNT012 it shows me this with all green status-
System SB3CLNT011 as a partner type already exists
System SB3CLNT012 as a partner type already exists
Port A000000018 with RFC destination SB3CLNT011 already exists
Outbound parameters for message type SHP_IBDLV_CHANGE SHP_IBDLV_CHANGE01 already
Outbound parameters for message type SHP_IBDLV_SAVE_REPLICA SHP_IBDLV_SAVE_REPLI
Outbound parameters for message type SYNCH SYNCHRON already exist
Am I missing something in WE20?

  • Logical System is not in the list of CentralSystem(CUA)

    Hi,
I am trying to create Central User Administration (CUA) in my   landscape.
    CentralSystem:-
I was created  one client 007 with user name CUA_ADM as Administrator and i have been defined a logicalsystem and assigned to it and created  RFC connecitons to clients in childsystem.
    ChildSystems:-
In this way in child systems also created users, RFC connections and define logicalsystem and assigned to clients.
    1) My problem is i am trying to use transaction SCUA in that these       logical system of child system is not available.
    2) The logical system that is assigned for local clients is available after choosing those logicalsystems it giving error message like  cannot reach system PRDCLNT000 by RFC
Any one please give me the suggestions regarding  how to solve it.
    Thanks,
    Vivek . Nellore
    Edited by: vivek.nellore on Mar 17, 2008 4:54 PM

    Hi Vivek,
Please ensure that  RFC destinations named same as the logical systems of child clients are created in master client. These RFC destination will be of type 3 and will point out to thee respective child clients. Similarily you may also create an RFC destination corresponding to master client in the child clients.
While it is not necessary to have 1:1 relationship in naming of RFC destination  and logical systems it makes the job very easy. Other wise you need to check for ports involved in respective partner profiles(WE20) and then make sure that the ports are pointing to correct RFC destinations(which will be checked using WE21).
    Regards.

  • Logical System for Role Integration Server

    Dear all,
I need your help to clear my confuse. From ID I had assign business system as defined by Role Integration Server but when I check Adapter-Specific Identifiers, nothing show in Logical System. I already define Logical system in SLD. but I'm not sure incase of Role Integration Server will show logical system same with role Application System or not. becasue the other one as role Application System it's fine.
    Thanks and Regards
    Park

    Hi Park,
I could not clearly understand your question .But i think you want to know the roles of the Integration server and Application system.I would like to share some thing on their difference .Hope this will clearify you.
A business system can be configured as an Integration server or Application system:
      Integration Server
The Integration server executes only integration logic available Integration Builder. They can also be identified as Pipe Line Steps. It receives XML message, determines the receiver, executes the mappings, and routes the XML message to the corresponding receiver systems. Thus configured Integration Engine is identified to be Central Configured Integration engine.
Note: Only one client of SAP system can be configured as Integration Server.
       Application system
The Application system will not execute the integration logic. It in turn calls the integration server to execute the integration logic if required. It acts as sender or receiver of XML messages. So, the Application system with a local Integration Engine requires the Integration server to execute the integration logic
    Thanks,
    Ram.
