Lock Screen Dimming Wallpapers 5.0.2

Hi!
Since I downloaded 5.0.2, the photos I set as lock screen wallpapers become dim. Basically, my lock screen shows the time clearly, but the wallpaper is dark. Anyone knows how I can fix this? I tried boosting the brightness of the photo, but it looks bad...

Auto-Lock screen dimming

When my iPhone recently updated, it apparently changed the Auto-Lock; there is now no way I can find to keep the phone on for more than 5 minutes unattended.
Is there no way any more to turn this feature off? Especially when it's at home in the charger, I prefer to be able to glance at mail, or a list of something on the notepad as reference, without having to constantly keep turning it back on.

It would be nice to have different time-out options when connected or not connected, and depending on which feature you were using.
Maybe in some future upgrade.

IOS 8 lock screen info too dim

iPhone 5 running iOS 8.0
When playing music, the song info is shown on the lock screen.
The song title and cover art are displayed correctly. However, just below the song title,
the artists name and album title are shown. This info is so dim it can't be read in daylight.
is there any way to brighten this info?

The iPhone update 8.3 (12F70) is making my home screen wallpapers darker than the picture itself. Even if I set the same picture as home and lock screen wallpaper, the home screen image is noticeably darker. How can I change this?

Is anyone else noticing the same issue?
I'm really unhappy with the upgrade, the darker home screen images alters the coloring and detracts from the overall "light" feeling.

The iPhone 6 is my first iPhone so I've never used iOS 7 before. Can anybody who has provide more info on this?

Pre time stops "working" when screen dims/locks

the time on my pre stops "working" when the screen dims/turns off - what i mean by this is that when I wake up the phone the "old" time (time that i last had the phone awake) displays and then quickly updates to the current time.
The worst part about this is that alarms will not work because it does not know the real time when the screen is off!!
If the phone is on the touchstone everything works fine
can anyone help!!!?

Change default logon/startup/lock screen in windows 8 pro

Hi,
I want to change my default logon screen, the one that appears when I boot. I have changed the lock screen within my account, but I can't change the one (that I beleive is) for the default user. I have seen some complicated steps to copy over a file
in systemdata folder for the default user profile, but It seems really awful to do it in my notebook (which is not joined to a domain, and it is Windows 8 Pro). So, is there a simple way to do it? Why my personalized lock screen isn't shown?

Thanks MarianoC, you got me closer to solving my lock screen problem. Sorry about your lock screen presets issue, glad that is not an issue for me, as I see you have given up. I wanted to post my more detailed solution description
here, since this was one of the fist places I landed while researching this.
I fixed mine by replacing the default Lock Screen image files.
You can find them here C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData\S-1-5-18\ReadOnly
Caution---You have to have hidden files visible, and you also have to understand how to take ownership of folders and assign ownership and permissions (it's not that difficult, search if
you don't know how).
I had 2 folders in that location W and Z;
The W folder already had my selected Lock Screen picture.
The W folder may have been the result of a previous tweak I tried, it had the newer photo I had selected already, if your W doesn’t have your photo and you have issues maybe replace it too.
If you don’t have a W folder I wouldn’t sweat it for now.
I had my luck with the Z folder, it contained the default space needle picture in 2 versions; dimmed and plain (I didn't look for a visual difference).
I replaced both of them with my chosen lock screen picture.
There are 2 ways to do this;
1st is to rename your original file (add a 1 to the name, you can go back to original easier this way). Replace it with picture of your choosing with the exact same name as original.
You must assign full permission to the system account.
Warning. This method seems safer but I could not figure out how to assign permission to the trusted installer account, which existed previously for this file, this could inhibit some future compatibility.
2nd way preserves system and trusted installer permissions.
Create your lock screen pictures in a separate folder, with exactly the same names as your 2 original files.
Copy/Paste the files into the Z folder, you will get asked to replace existing.
If you say yes it should preserve security settings but update the photo.

Screen dimming delay . . .

I upgraded my iPhone 3G to 4.0.1 (quick and painless unlike the 4.0 release which was 9+ hours) last night and have noticed this morning that the time it takes for the screen to dim (before eventually turning off) after a period of inactivity has dramatically reduced. I can't remember the time that it took before as it was quite a lengthy delay, but now I reckon it's a period of approx 40 seconds before the screen dims. I think it used to be a couple of minutes. Has anyone else noticed this? Also is there any way to alter this timing (just like a MBP or iMac display in the Energy Saver System Pref Pane).
As always, any advice appreciated.

Neil was correct - auto-lock controls how long before the screen dims, followed shortly after by the phone locking. Passcode lock is a separate function. If you set auto-lock to never your screen won't dim. I suspect it's set to 1 minute at present =0)

How to remove a picture / wallpaper on lock screen?

Hi, I have a question and hopefully somebody can help me, how to remove a background on the lock screen? I just want to have default settings back, without any picture on my lock screen but I want to see home screen only. Does anyone know how to change it?

Delete Lock Screen Wallpaper/ Using Customize To Change Slider Icons

So, though it may sound a bit silly, i've had different wallpapers display on my lock screen for some time now, but i've found that i have absolutley no idea how to take it off. i'd simply like to revert back the the battery image on the lock screen, no wallpaper at all. i've gone through settings, and looked for a "No Wallpaper" option, but there is none to be found.
Also, I've been trying to figure out how to add new images for the slider buttons, as well as the other options that are allowed with customize, can these be found in the Installer.app? i havent seen such things, unless there are sources that i havent found yet.
help would be much appriciated, thanks!

Hey Alan,
To change the Wallpaper goto Settings>Wallpaper. The earth is the default image.
There is no option to change the slider icons.

Hmm, I have different wallpapers (one of my photo's for my lock screen and and just plain black for my home screen) and mine still does not do that.
Try setting them both to something different, but simple - say different colors of one of the default screens. Or just try one any pair of the default screens instead of your own custom pictures. Does it still do it? I cannot seem to get my iPhone to duplicate that no matter what I try with it.
You can submit the info to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html but try and give them as much details as you can, of anything you have tried that either does not change the abnormal behaviour or that does fix it.

Why is my lock screen translucent?

After downloading ios7 my lock screen is translucent, but I don't like it. Can I make it not translucent??

So the lock screen should not look like that, yes the password screen should, but not this screen shot.
try turning off your phone, or resetting by holding top button and home button
also try messing around with other wallpapers.

That's your carrier default wallpaper, you can get it by going to options, display, then click on the advanced button, which looks like an equaliser and then click 'reset to carrier wallpaper'.

I tried that and that is what initially started this. I wanted a new wallpaper for my home screen and it didn't work so I reset it. The wallpaper is now zoomed in, I can't zoom it back out, and I can't change it to the new one I want. Plus, recently I had reset it and it stayed at the Appe logo and didn't move and I got scared that I'd never be able to use it again, I tried random things and it turned on again. I think I was just lucky so I don't want it to happen again. And yes I did look up how to fix it but it was really complicated so I just did what I mentioned.

When playing YouTube in background the phone stays on and does not auto lock and if it is auto locked and you receive a text it will stay on / lit even in the lock screen

Mine and my wifes iphon 5s is having way too many problems for today's technology, when using iTunes music app from the lock screen if you press pause from the lock screen it stays the same not like before when you paused the music the play buttons would disappear but now they just stay there, and when playing YouTube videos in the background from safari and the phone is in lock screen and you receive a text the screen will stay lit until you turn it off yourself and also the same thing happens in the home screen if your playing YouTube from safari in the background the phone won't auto dim of auto lock after any amount of time it will stay on forever these problems need to be fixed, also the wifi is not working like it used to and the LTE and 3G data are slow, slower then the 3GS when ios 6 came out. Any number of things could have caused the phone to do this. If after the reset you are experiencing additional problems, the next step in the troubleshooting process is a restore from a backup. Make sure you have one before you start the restore process. If that does not improve things, then you may have to restore as a new device. Remember, restoring as a new device will delete all data off the phone. Make sure all of your pictures are imported to the computer and all other data is synced to supported applications on the computer before restoring as new. Can not scale picture for locked screen using ios7?

I can not rescale a picture to use as locked screen wallpaper, does anyone have the answer?
