Locking a query for a while

Hi all,
is it possible to lock a query for a while so users can't execute it.
The idea is to avoid that users run the query while data is being cleaned/loaded into a infocube.

Take it way from the role it has been assigned to, so that no one see the query.

I am having 44GB of temp space, while executing the below query my temp space is getting full, Expert please let us know how the issue can be resolved..
1. I dont want to increase the temp space

Erro while running query for a Scheduled work book

The following error found while running query for a schedule workbook:
ORA-12801: Error signaled in parallel query server P000
ORA-01652: uable to extend temp segment by 14720 in tablespace SYSTEM
ORA-27068: skgfdisp: buffer is not aligned properly
OSD-04005: SetFilePointer() failure, unable to read it from file
We are using discoverer 4.1.

In Pagination, we are using Modified version of SQL Query 3) with ROWNUM as mentioned below :-

Issue:- When using two % in like in the above query i.e. REFERENCE like '%KMF22600920%' AND ROWNUM <= 20 ) , it is going to infinite.
Could you please let us know what is the issue with two % used in like and rownum

This would be easier to diagnose if there was an explain plan posted for the 'good' and 'bad' queries. Generally speaking using '%' on both sides precludes the use of any indexes.

An error occurred while querying for the Webfolders path.

I have a logic file that runs a stored procedure and dtsx gets to that step it gives an error saying :"An error occurred while querying for the Webfolders path."
I saw that there were a similar post a while ago, but i am running the package from the DM.

Lock a tcode for particular user

i need to lock few transaction for particular users only. we have n number of roles and the transactions have been assigned to some tcodes to be reasticted for a list of users. is there any method or program to built to restrict the users for few tcodes.is there any more query pl trigger me

as you said if i start creating roles to restrict some users then there atleast 25 tcodes are there to restrict and 120 roles are to be analyzed and the job becomes hefty by creating roles and there will too many number of roles and it becomes confusion in future forecast. there fore i nedd any suggestion like that the userscan be restricted when they are trying to access that particular code or lock the screen or inform them to not access these tcodes thro some message or writing a program to restrict the users while the user exits. i have an idea but i dont know how it will work - ( I am not a ABAPER) there should be tcode or program which should list tcodes authorized for particular users and where they can be locked like SM01 ( but it will lock for all) but locking for particular users

File locking over AFP for GnuPG?

I'm trying to get Network Home directories working for our company as we have a few hotseat MacMini's and don't want to have local profiles on each. I've got that working as expected, the issue I'm having now is that we use GnuPG quite extensively and I can't get it to work over the network share. After a bit of digging it looks like it need to lock the key files while they're being accessed.
The error I'm seeing is:
gpg: lock not made: link() failed: Operation not supported
gpg: can't lock `/Network/Servers/macmini-server.local/Volumes/UserData/Network Users/testuser/.gnupg/secring.gpg'
gpg: DBG: Oops, `/Network/Servers/macmini-server.local/Volumes/UserData/Network Users/testuser/.gnupg/secring.gpg.lock' is not locked
gpg: keyblock resource `/Network/Servers/macmini-server.local/Volumes/UserData/Network Users/testuser/.gnupg/secring.gpg': General error
I know about the 'lock-never' option for GnuPG, but that doesn't work when setting a new key, and isn't the ideal solution.
Is there an option on the AFP server that needs to be set to enable locking?

I am sure Apple provide a means to do file locking and/or record locking. However your software might need to be written to properly call Apple's APIs to do this. I know Microsoft as an example always (tried) to do this their own way and as a result it pretty much never worked properly with Office for Mac.
This sort of query is going to be better pursued via Apple's Developer forums.

I can't make or answer calls, I can't even power if off. I can't access the hardward ID which Apple support seems to require for Chat.
It might have happened when I was accessing my camera bypassing the lock screen!
All I know is that the thing is now useless and it looks like I will have to wait for the battery to run down to see if powering it back up afterwards will solve the problem.

I have since discovered the "hold down home key and power button" together for a few seconds and this seems to have worked .... phew!

IPhone 3G in a coma state though I was using iOS4 for a while.

iPhone 3G in a coma state though I was using iOS4 for a while (until today that is). Now "restored" to iOS4.2.
The problem still persists. When it's plugged into PC and charging, pressing Power / Home button always wakes iPhone from lock / sleep.
When taken off power, it still allows me to wake the phone from lock / sleep, but only if I do it every 5 seconds. After around 5 seconds, pressing the Power / Home button doesn't wake the phone from sleep, therefore necessitating a Hard Reboot (Power + Home held for 10 seconds).
There's also a very visible lag when using anything, even though my phone has no songs / apps / videos in it anymore.
When calling to the iPhone or sending SMS', the sender finds as though the iPhone is working, but the iPhone itself makes no response to show that a message has been received or that it is being called.
This is just infuriating, because if it can't do any of the other functions, it could at least be usable as a phone
This is an emergency, I don't know how to get ahold of another phone, and I have exams for which I need my phone to coordinate things like transport, or calls /messages from the exam centre.

No help, anyone ?
It feels such a waste to have a perfectly usable and amazing (though apparently obsolete) phone which can't be used for a tiny little bug when it's not connected to the charging station :C

Lock at a Customer level - while creating a dispute or working on the ColWL

Please, provide workarounds for:
SAP creates a lock at a Customer level while doing the following activities
u2022     Clearing an item
u2022     Creation of a Dispute case
u2022     Working on Collections worklist for a particular customer
As a result of the lock at the customer level, no other user can work on the same customer at the same time.

Hi Mario,
This is how system is supposed to work, so that only one user can work at a time on a particular customer. Without such a control, things could go wrong. Eg. You might be making a payment to the customer invoice, simulataneously other user could be trying to clear the same invoice using some credit memo.
So there is not workaround.

I've been working on this issue for a while and I am still no closer to finding out what the problem is. If anybody can offer any other advice or things to check, I'm all ears.
I'm running SCOM 2012 R2 with UR2, and the Cluster Management Pack v6.0.7063.0
My problem is on one particular batch of cluster servers where I am getting the following error.

I am getting this alert regardless of whether I run the Windows Cluster Action Account as Local System, or as a domain user with full local admin privileges on all the cluster nodes.
When looking at the management pack and the workflow in particular (Microsoft.Windows.Cluster.Node.StateMonitoring), I can see that it's trying to access
MSCluster_Node in the root\MSCLUSTER WMI namespace.

I can confirm that I am able to browse the MSCluster_Node class locally, as well as remotely using WMIEXPLORER and WBEMTEST,
however it only works when I set the Authentication Level to
Packet Privacy. If I do not select Packet Privacy, a WMI event log error 5605 is logged on the remote servers application log that says...
The root\mscluster namespace is marked with the RequiresEncryption flag. Access to this namespace might be denied if the script or application does not have the appropriate authentication level. Change the authentication level to Pkt_Privacy
and run the script or application again.
I can confirm that all firewalls are turned off, and there are no firewalls between the management servers and the agents in question. AV exclusions have been done and appear to be in place. The nodes are all Windows 2008 R2 with SP1. As
far as I can tell there is plenty of memory available on each of the nodes in question (50%+) of RAM is available.
If I manually run the "Discover the Windows Server 2008 R2 Cluster Components" task in the Cluster Service State section of the management pack in the Monitoring Pane in the console, on the nodes in question - the discovery runs successfully.
Does anybody have any other ideas or suggestions I could try?

Hi, I'm running my macbook from an external hard drive (Os yosemite) due to bad reinstall of mavericks. It was fine for a while then admin Password stopped working and i tried all ways to retrieve it. I want to install os back onto internal drive.

Due to a bad install of Mavericks, my macbook was just on a loop. I correctly formatted a new external drive and installed Yosemite there and was able to retrieve my files onto the external drive. So for a while I was able to run my mac from the os on the external drive and it was fine. I built up enough courage to clear the internal hard drive. or so i thought. It will no longer recognize my admin password and I can't gain access through my Apple store and iCloud password so I have effectively been locked out. i have tried all suggested ways to deal with that. I can't seem to install the os from my external drive on to the macbook internal drive. My dvd/cd player hasn't worked for a long time so I can't install a snow leopard disc and upgrade from there. I really need help here. thanks

Tried this just now, but it didn't work. I copied it to my internal drive, but if I then selected that file and told it to open in iTunes, it played the one on my external drive.
However, it was possible to play the copied movie in QuickTime Player. I wonder, though, would that approach work with a rented movie? The movie I was using was one I bought from iTunes.
