Locking Transcation and customized log messages

Hi
I wanna to lock a specific transcation and if users are executing the transaction code then a customized log meesage should popup or display and the transaction should terminate. Is there a way to do by std way instead of handeling it in coding? I dont wanna to create authroization objects as it is not a time to experiment with that considering the system landscape complexity.

what does this setting "Count and timestamp logging messages: disabled" mean ? in "show logging" output.
I do not see the number of message lines logged ( syslog ) increasing under the "show logging" output,
Same is the case with the numbers in "Trap logging: level notifications, xxxx message line logged"
This is happening on IOS , any idea why ?

If you do not have the time-stamp configured it would be more difficult to troubleshoot, lets explain this with an example:
-One of your interfaces went down at 13:30 your local time, you have logging enabled without the time-stamp so you go to your syslog server and you look for that problem, in that case you will need to go to all the syslog messages database ( witch might be huge and the message you are looking for could be imposible to find) so if you have timestamp enable you will go directly to the 13:30 messages and find it so much easier.
Here is another explanation I found for you:

This command causes the firewall to add a time stamp to each Syslog message before it is sent. The firewall should have its clock set and time synchronized to a known and accurate source.

Catch datetime exception and custom error message in SSRS

I currently working on create report by using SSRS. I have 2 parameters: [Start date] and [End date] to filter data from database and show it on report. I want to validate 2 datetime parameter as describe above. Please tell me a solution to do this.
For example:
When user type the text like: 4/15/2014mmm => System validation thrown a message: [The From Date not correct type]
But in my case, I want to receive a custom error message by myself.(Look like: [Date Invalid!])

According to your description, you have a report with two parameters for user to input. Now you want to validate these two parameters and display custom error message when the date is invalid. Right?
In Reporting Service, it doesn’t provide any interference for us to modify the system error message (the text in grey color). That means we can’t modify the system message when error occurs. However we can create a textbox in this report, use custom code
and expression to display the custom error message. But this all based on the report is successfully running. So if error occurs during report processing, all the custom code and expression will not work. In this scenario, we find a workaround for you. We
use custom code to judge if the date is valid, if the users type an invalid date, we return a default value to make sure this report can successfully run. Then we use expression to control the visibility of tablix in this report and create a textbox to show
the custom error message. Your case has been tested in our local environment. Here are steps and screenshots for your reference:
Go to Report Properties. Put the code below into custom code:

Ps: In step3 and step4, the date(“1/1/2012”, “1/1/2013”) in the expression are the default we set to make sure the report can successfully process. You can set any date existing in your dataset.
Use the expression below to set the visibility of the tablix:
=IIF(Code.IsDate(Parameters!StartDate.Value,Parameters!EndDate.Value)=0,false,true)
Create a textbox, put the expression below into it:
=IIF(Code.IsDate(Parameters!StartDate.Value,Parameters!EndDate.Value)=0,"","Date invalid")
Save and preview. It looks like below:

Error stopping and undeploying java applications and View Log Messages link

I was redirecting to this forum by instant chat JCS Support.
Have a few issues with my JCS account:
1) I am getting the following error when clicking View Log Messages hyperlink - Failed to get messages for service - java.
2) Have 2 applications: Branding and Connectivity which I tried to stop or undeploy and getting errors for both.
Could you help to resolve the both issues?

[IN] and [OUT] log messages in Hibernate generated code in Eclipse

Currently i have to make a code for generating log messages for the [IN] and [OUT] event of the methods, so i can trace the error easily

Suppress [Adobe CAPS DEBUG] and epic_core log messages

Is there any way to suppress the [Adobe CAPS DEBUG] and epic_core messages that appear in the debug log? All those messages make it easy to miss asserts and other error messages.

I switched over to an early 2008 20-inch iMac (booting from same external disk) and the "ERROR:shrink DB" and "assertion failed" messages are continuing, so I doubt that it is related to the hardware unless it's the external drive itself or the Firewire cable.
Any help would be appreciated...

MacBook keeps locking up and giving message to restart

We recently installed Windows on MacBook and ever since then, it locks up and says to restart MacBook. It won't even let me go in to uninstall the Windows software before it locks up and gives this message. Any suggestions? Thanks

Populating our log message along with standard sap log in ck11n.

I have developed a user exit which is used in costing of material using ck11n.
Here i have to show our custom log message along with the standard log shown by standard sap system after costing run is complete.
I got one FM-- CM_F_MESSAGE which is used by SAP. But i want the message along with SAP messages and not separately.
Can u help me out for this. its very urgent.

This is an extract of abap code of SAPLCKDI where that fm is used:

So I suppose you should call it by this way:

 ARBGB = <your message class>
 MSGNR = <message number>
 MSGTY = <message type>
 MSGV1 = <text 1>
 MSGV2 = <text 2>
 MSGV3 = <text 3>

How to create Custom error message in SharePoint 2013

Hi,
I have created one document library.On uploading the same file SharePoint throws error as"server error.The same file exit".
But my requirement is not to show the SharePoint default message.I wanted to create custom message and show the pop up for the same file upload.
Is there any way to create any custom error page or can I manipulate SharePoint default error page?

Server Logs

Standard output logs

Dear experts,
I need to run cjr2 for several wbs elements and export log messages somewhere in SAP.
The way it is now functioning is, by a pop up screen to show me the messages. Is there any way to export them, so as to use them later?

The "missing file" seems to belong in at a folder level ABOVE
the www
folder.
I doubt you can access it, only your host.

Custom error message in SAP application log

Is there a way to add a custom error message to the SAP application log without passing the message variables MSGV1, MSGV2, MSGV3, MSGV4 and the Message class and number.
We want to pass a custom message from the BAPIRET2-MESSAGE without giving it a Message class and number. The reason for this is that we are using class based exceptions instead of the traditional message class with errors. When we catch the class based exception, we take the error text of the exception and put in in the BAPIRET2-message and set the BAPIRET2-TYPE as 'E'. Now we want to add this to the SAP application log.
The call to 'BAL_LOG_MSG_ADD' takes a structure BAL_S_MSG which is just like BAPIRET2. However this function builds the entry to the application log use the message variables MSGV1, MSGV2, MSGV3, MSGV4. There is no provision to pass in the BAPIRET2 message.
Add message to application log
CALL FUNCTION 'BAL_LOG_MSG_ADD'
 EXPORTING
 i_log_handle = app_log_handle
 i_s_msg = log_message

This FM is represented by the structure BAL_S_EXC. This can have various versions as described below:

MSGTY / Message type (MSGTY) of a T100 message.
 This field must also be filled for exceptions.
PROBCLASS,
DETLEVEL,

 problem class (PROBCLASS, for
 example, "very important"), level of detail
 (DETLEVEL, from 1 to 9), sort criterion
 (ALSORT, unrestricted) and timestamp
 (TIME_STMP). These fields can be displayed
 in the log (except TIME_STMP).
MSG_COUNT / This attribute is not used for exceptions.

I having this requirement, where i need to print a custom error message in the xml bursting program's log file.
Actually i am having a report where i create invoices and then those invoices are emailed to the respective customers, now say if a customer has three contacts and there is only two valid email id's so what happens is bursting will be successful for two contacts whereas the third contact dosen't get any emails. when this happens i need to log a message in the bursting programs log file stating a custom message.
Two things i want to know..
1- Whether is it possible to write into the xml bursting programs log file
2- If yes, then how..
note: it ll be greatly appreciated if the answer is elaborated.
