Log off functionality in different languages

Hi,
In SICF i configured a Logoff page according to: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/fc/04a5421935c511e10000000a1550b0/content.htm
It works fine in english but can´t get it to work in danish. I have tried to maintain the service in language danisk but without any luck.
Hope that someone can help me.

I believe, it should only affect the text of the button or link whichever you nay have used.
Have you debugged the application.

Issues With Log Off

Hi all ABAPers,
               We are implementing a wide range of RF programs for the SAP console Project at my client.There is an issue with the "log off" function however.Initially when i boot up the handheld device,it takes us to the log on menu.Once we log off the Device,it takes us to the sapconsole propmt and then when i hit alt + X,it takes me back to a DOS propmt.I admit that i am not familiar with the concepts of sapconsole and the layers,shells involved.However,i need to go back to the main log on menu , once i log off.Is this an ABAP programming issue or does it need additional configuration from the SAPconsole team.I greatly appreciate any insight provided on this issue.

    So I guess I jumped the gun, while restoring my iPhone did solve the problem, for that instances, It is still not working. I have tried to sync my music again and what I am seeing is while iTunes is going through the steps everthing looks fine, until it gets to the final step then I notice the blue bar ( indicates how much music is on the phone ) it goes back down to the orignal
there was another symbol, that was showing up next to the unsynced songs, however since posting this I was
able to sync that phone, and that symbol is gone, but I would like to find out what the problem is.
    I wish I could go back and mark this unsolved, maybe a mod can help with that.

After being logged in to Facebook, I will get unlogged, taken to a new screen in a different language and asked to re-login, it has happening numerous times today, is this a virus, spam, malware and how do i get rid of it?

Whatdoes it mean when the project I open has a red screen with different languages,media off line?

I finished my movied. and then tried to move everything into a new file labeled TAJE files. Now when I try to open the last version of the movie, I get nothing but 2 of the title clips and then every clip is a red one with different languages saying something about media off line? I deleted old copies but thought that was ok?

Yes, if you have a completed DVD and just want to copy it then use disk burning software, not PRE. I use Nero and ImgBurn as my main burning applications - Nero is commercial, ImgBurn is free.
If you want to make extra copies over time you would be better to copy the VIDEO_TS folder from your DVD to your Hard Disk and then point ImgBurn at the folder.
For new projects requiring multiple DVDs to be burnt you would be better during Share to burn it to disk. Again, once it's there you can just point ImgBurn at it.

Whenever User Logs Onto Sap Its In A Different Language

Hi Experts,
I have a situation where I deleted the language files off the server, but whenever one of my users connects to SBO through a client machine it picks up a different language. Is there anything I can change on the client side to fix this?

I had a similar problem, I was able to do a workaround by deleting the Language files not required off the Client and not off the server.
What I did to fix this is:
I explore to C:\Program Files\SAP\GUI
Then deleted all the languages package except English.
I'm assuming that will work for the other languages as well.

Need Help on powershell Script to send mails in different languages

Hello, Just wanted to use the script below to remind users of password expiry date (I got it from internet New-Passwordreminder.ps1). We have companies in many countries, so the email should be in the language of that country. So since our users are in different
OU's according to countries, I thought some one could help me edit this script and say if the user is in AB ou then email in english will be sent, if in BC ou then the email will be in Russian....So in the script I will have all the languages I need

Firefox 3.6.6 will not allow Windows 7 to log off or shut down

I have a HP DV6 laptop (32 bit) with Windows 7. Firefox 3.6.6. seems to work well but the computer became slow and unresponsive and it will not log off, shut down or restart unless in safe mode. I uninstalled FF 3.6.6. and Adobe Flash 10 and now it works fine. On my Compaq Desktop (64 bit) with Windows 7, FF 3.6.6. and Adobe Flash work just fine.

I had same problem where Firefox 3.6.8 would not start or open. Spent many hours trying different things to fix it. Uninstall of previous version and reinstall did not make any difference. Finally, after uninstalling Firefox, I searched for Firefox folders and files on my computer, deleted and removed all Firefox folders and files - deleted anything and everything related to Firefox so that it will be as if I was going to download Firefox for the first time ever. Then, using another browser, I downloaded Firefox 3.6.8 and installed it. It could be that some Add-Ons or something else from the older version of Firefox or profile was interfering with the new one. It was easier to delete remove everything and install all over again clean than to figure out which part was causing the problem.
Keep in mind, when you delete all Firefox folders and files from your computer, you are deleting all your bookmarks and all your Add-ons. If you want to keep those bookmarks, you might want to save the URLs someplace safe to bookmark them again before deleting them. You need to re-install the Add-ons also. Upon installation, it asks if you want to import bookmarks and settings from another browser or settings you might have. I imported them from my other browser. Now, Firefox works. I also installed up-to-date Add-ons.
I hope this helps. Always keep more than one browser functioning on your computer, just in case one fails.

Different database in different languages....

I am facing an unusual problem.In my project,there are two languages English & French.I am doing the coding by logging in English.But the database maintained for the same query in French is different.Now the testing is being done in French.How can i take care of this?Good answers will be suitably rewarded....

Normaly databse values are mentained in same table, and if there is requirement of maintaining texts or values in different languages then there is always a laguage key in database table.
in your case as you have specified that there are two different tables , then u need to eitherfind a function moduel which automatically checks for language and do the required data fetch from tables.
or if you dont find any such function module then you have to code different select statements for each language.
you can check the laguage using system field sy-langu to get the language then call appropriate select statement.

Maintain Text in Different Language

I have query for maintaining text in multiple language, let me elaborate my query..
I created std project having all WBS element & maintain WBS Text ( description) in English lanuage.Now my client prefers that if a person in other country log into SAP in German language then he should see all description in German language.
I have one solution that log into SAP in German Language & maintain all text again in German language. This will be just repeatition of the work what I did in English language.Client wants to maintain all text in 6 language & I have to repeat the same work 6 times.
If you have come across such issue , please tell me about your solution.

Multi language support has to be activated fro the Object ML(IMG-->Project system-->activate multi language support)
when you create a new PS object , a new tab short text appears, in which you can maintain different language keys and description
so when ever user logs in different language then the description of PS object will appear in that language if it is maintained in short text tab

Run LabVIEW executable when user logs off

I have a customer request to do this.
My customer has a computer in their plant that I wrote a LabVIEW applicaiton to monitor part of their process. This computer performs other functions in addition to my program. Their IT department has changed their policy that mandates that anybody using this computer has to log in under their own user name and password. Prevoulsy it was just a group user name and password. What this means for me is everytime a new user needs to use the PC they have to log off and log back on. This stops my program.
Is there a way to have a LabVIEW executable keep running when different users log off and log on?

Sounds like you need a service. It may be a complete architecture change, but you could have an executable running as a service and a user interface executable connecting to it (e.g. via TCP/IP). The service itself can't have a UI.
Without using a service there's no way an application can continue running when a user logs off (afaik).
A service is started even if no user logs on.
There's tools like srvany or similar that allow to run an executable as a service.

Save description in different languages

hello abapers,
I'm struggling with some problem for the whole day now.
problem:
the (same) description of functional location has to be saved in TWO different languages every time any change+save is processed on a functional location .
short example:
user is logged on in english.
creates a functional location 123 with description 'Func.Loc english'.
save.
2nd user is logged on in german for example.
using IL02 with the fun.loc 123 ->> the description 'disappears'. But i need to have the same Value as maintained before ('Func.Loc english') to be there also in change mode !!!!!
User exit ILOM0001 is already implemented and can be used for further enhancements.

We have a multi country and multi language scenario.
Every time that we have to create something..like master data or any customizing object..in different languages..we have to log in to the system multiple no. of times to maintan text in different languages. Is there any way that in one login only we maintain different texts.
If we go to customizing, maintain functional area...go to utilities...> choose language.. what is its function?

This helps you maintain the text in different languages in configuration nodes by logging on in English for example you have to implement for China/France/Spain/Germany you can select the languages and you can maintain all the languages at the same time without having to logon in different languages. Not all the configuration nodes support this functionality for example FTXP the tax code maintainence.
