if you are using a IDoc or Proxy connection to SAP, check the destination. Run the authorization test 5 or more times to see if the user is getting locked or not.
Also can you elaborate your scenario more?

  • How to determine logged in user and responsibility in pl/sql?

    I created a procedure that uses owa_util.redirect_url to lauch a web application. This function is lauched by a function on an EBS menu.
    Before calling the redirect I use owa_cookie.send to pass the name of the user and the responsibility using a cookie. When I refer to fnd_global.resp_id or fnd_global.user_id they are always null.
    Does anyone know how I can capture the logged in user/responsibility and pass it to the web application?
    Thanks,

  • Get logged in users name for email notification

    Hi all,
    I am using LC Update 1 with email notifications. In the notification email I would like to write:
    Hi "logged in users name"
    You have got a task in your to do-list...
    The thing is that I can not get the id of the user because the email is sent before he/she completes any step in the process. So I guess I need to look up the user in the same way as the notification-function makes the lookup... How is this done?
    Can you help me here?
    Sincerely
    Kim

    You can use a parameter for the user ID:

  • Login user/pass for Cisco 1751-V

    Goodevening to everyone!
    i'm new in the world of router and i need to do a port forward with my router (Cisco 1751-V). i don't know exactly what i must do, but i read at PortForwarding.com that i must login in my router for set the port, but i don't know how to do that!!
    also i'm Italian and i have only a little experience with English language!
    If someone could help me i'll be very happy of this!!
    Thanks in advance!

    If you want to configure the router through the Cisco IOS command-line interface (CLI), you must connect the router console port to a terminal or PC. The cable and adapter required for this connection are included with the router.
    To configure the router with a PC, the PC must have some type of terminal emulation software installed. The software should be configured with the following parameters: 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, no flow control. Refer to the Cisco 1700 Router Software Configuration Guide for detailed information about configuring the router using Cisco IOS software.
    This link should start you in the right direction:

  • How do I determine logged-in user ID from syscall probe ?

    Hello All - I am trying to determine the actual logged in user ID for the process/thread that is making a syscall from within a dtrace syscall probe handler. If I use the dtrace variable curpsinfo->pr_uid or curpsinfo->pr_euid I can obtain the correct UID as long as that user is not SUed to another user or root. If the user is SUed to root, then both the pr_uid and pr_euid values are 0 (for root).
    Can someone please help me find another place in some dtrace or kernel data structure that there is access to that would contain the actual logged-in user ID? Maybe somewhere in an audit data structure or something?
    Any help is greatly appreciated !! Thanks!

    This will work but not the most slick....
    curthread->t_procp->p_parent->p_cred->cr_uid
    May have to go up multiple levels, eg
    curthread->t_procp->p_parent->p_parent->p_cred->cr_uid
    curthread->t_procp->p_parent->p_parent->p_parent->p_cred->cr_uid

  • How to go about changing settings based upon logged in user

    Hi all,
    I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how one would go about changing a property on a node based upon the logged in user.
    For example, say you have a path property at /apps/myComponent/settings.path=/content/dam/genericfolder that for an author have the value of /apps/myComponent/settings.path=/content/dam/sandbox, and for an approver have the value of /apps/myComponent/settings.path=/content/dam/approvalsandbox

    Hi Ove,
    Thanks for the tip on the user role. I had thought about taking that approach, however, leveraging the user role and properties associated with it would be the correct approach if writing custom components. What I am looking for is a way to take existing components, and essentially use them in context of the user.
    For example, say if you are trying to give a sub group of users access to a subset of the DAM directory, and you don't particularly wish to hack around the existing WCM DAM component, there is a setting in the tree navigator (/libs/wcm/core/content/damadmin/treeRoot) that lets you specify where the root of the tree is. (There are more settings to work with, but this is just one used to illustrate.)
    If you can change the property based upon the user, that gives you the functionality without altering code.
    I would like to know if this is possible, if this is an inherently bad practice, if so why, and whether there may be another alternative out there which lets you avoid having to alter the code of an existing component.
    Thanks again for answering.

  • Retrieving information about the logged in user in Power BI for O365

    I am trying to retrieve the email of the current logged in user so i can pass it into a query to my sql server which then adjusts the data based on who is viewing a power bi dashboard. If anyone knows a way to grab that information or even the url that
    the file has, then i can parse out its location and change my data based on that as well.

    Currently row level security is not supported in Power BI.

  • Passing null to Optional SQL ServerStored Procedure parameters for Query

    Has anyone been able to pass null to a SQL Server Stored Procedure in a query for Interactive Reporting. I have a procedure that modifies the sql statement if the user passes additional filter data and I want to pass null to it. It works great if I use in reporting services, but I am being forced to us IR. Any help would be appreciated.
    And just a point of issue...why do I have to use an ODBC driver to see or use my stored procedure!! Sorry couldn't resist!

    Why dynamic sql ? It can be static, you are just passing the filter value

  • Get username and password of the currently logged-in user in CRM and pass it to the plugin

    Hi,
    I am integrating CRM Online and SharePoint Online. Right now I am using Office365 trial version for both. Hence, the same username and password works for both.
    I want to create sub-site in SharePoint on create of an entity record. Currently, I am passing the admin credentials. But, I want to pass the credentials of the currently logged-in user in CRM to the plugin which is getting executed on create of account entity.
    So that I can then create sub-site in SharePoint using the current user credentials instead of admin credentials.
    Is there way to achieve this?

    Hello,
    You would not be able to get login/password of currently logged in user. I believe usage of admin credentials is the best way to achieve your goal.

  • Passing customer id(logged in user)  to BAPI

    Hi,
    I am creating a sales order application where in i have to pass the user id (customer  logged in through portal) .
    I have made the MODEL RFC as ticket, and meta data as user id password where i have passed the service user and password.
    Now my problem is that there will be 'N' customer ids in Portal but we are not creating any customer ids in SAP ECC. We are planning to pass the user id of portal logged in user to ECC (which will be customer id) and get the data based on the customer id passed.
    Question is how do i pass customer id to BAPI, ? Do i have to make the MODEL JCO as user/password or ticket should be fine as i am getting information for only customer logged in Portal ?
    How and where do i write the the following piece of code ? Should it be in wdDo init() or in the execute method of Controller ?
    try{
    IUser user = WDClientUser.getLoggedInClientUser().getSAPUser();
    IUserAccount[] acct = user.getUserAccounts();
    if(acct[0] != null)
    String strUserid = acct[0].getLogonUid();
    customer=strUserid.substring(0,strUserid.indexOf("."));
    if(customer.equalsIgnoreCase(customer))
    wdContext.currentYOURRFC_InputElement().setCustomer(customer);
    }catch(Exception ex)
    ex.getMessage();
    Should the above code be in the component controller before i execute the BAPI ?
    your help is appreciated.
    Regards
    PN

    Hi Portal Newbie,
    Your tickets and userid/password works as following:
    Tickets: When u select SAP logon ticket (SLT), EP generates a ticket with the user id of the logged in user, attached to the ticket. Now when it reaches R/3 it will check for the same user id. If no such user id is exits it will throw an error. To over come this u can define a reference system where u can do the user mapping.
    UIDPD: When u select this option u have to manually enter the user id and password in JCo. So when a EP user logs in the UID and password mentioned in JCo will be passed, not the EP user id, and R/3 will look for that user and execute the BAPI. And i guess u dont want that.
    Solution:
    As far as i have understood u dont want the same number of users in EP and R/3, (might be a licensing issue) and want only a few user IDs in R/3.
    1. Select UIDPD in JCo, and in your BAPI add another field like "user_id" through which u can send the user id to R/3 and execute a query which shall return the value corresponding to that particular user. [issue: there is a limit to the JCo connections created for a user.] Also there is an api to handle JCo connection in webdynpro. There u can set the user id, password and client number. But here also the user id that you set should be present in R/3.
    2. Select SLT in JCo and configure a reference system. You have to perform user mapping for every user. Now when a user logs in the ticket will contain the user id of EP and also the one u have mapped, ie the R/3 user. Make sure the R/3 user id exists in R/3. Now the sy-unam in BAPI will contain the R/3 user id. I guess there is an option to retrieve the EP user id from the ticket, but im not sure.
    In your kind of scenario its always recommended to have same number of user ids in EP and R/3. If user names are same then there is no need to configure reference system.
    Regards,
    Piyush.
    ps: reference system is just a system that we create in EP but in UME settings we have to specify this system as the reference system.

    I have set up two users, one for myself and one for children.  The computer automatically logs in for the children with no password required.  When the children go to spotlight and type in a search criteria all of my files show and open up.  How do I prevent this?

    Log in to your account, and move all your files to your home folder. No other users should be able to access them there and they won't show up with a Spotlight search.
    Make sure your kids' account(s) do not have admin privileges.

  • View RSOP data for logged on user that is not administrator

    When troubleshooting group policies I use GPResult and RSOP.msc a LOT!  Since we started deploying Windows 7 I've been having the worst time trying to use these utilities.
    Normally when a user is not getting policies I can just run rsop.msc and see if there is any error information as well as which policies have and have not applied.  In Windows 7 I am prompted for an Admin password when I run rsop.  Well that would
    be fine but now RSOP attempts to gather data for the administrator; I need to see the data for the logged on user.  The only way I've been able to work around this so far is to add the user to the local admin group then I can run rsop and gpresult.  When
    I'm done I have to remove them from the admin group.
    This seems silly to me.  Can anyone tell me how to see RSOP and GPResult data as the USER instead of the Admin.
    Also please do not chime in telling me to run rsop in planning mode as that only tells me what is supposed to happen, not what is actually happening on the system.

    Hi,
    Base on my test and research, there’s impossible to use RSOP.msc with user, and run as administrator when you login with user still doesn’t work.
    That’s necessary to login with administrator and run rsop.msc. It’s a by design feature.
    Thank you for your understanding.
