Logic statement based on a dropdown field choice to go to PayPal or not.
I have a drop down field called 'method of payment ' with 3 choices: PayPal, check, no pay.
I split the page (to page 1 and page 2) directly below the drop down field and use this logic: Go to (page 2) unless (method of payment) is (PayPal) (submit form)
Regardless of choice, it sends me to PayPal as long as I select a purchase field (that is also one of the fields in the PayPal setup page).
All purchase fields in the form are user selected amounts.
At the Adobe collect payment option page, the 'price' variable is 'user input'.
For selecting check and no purchase, it goes to page 2 and then to PayPal.
For selecting PayPal, it goes directly to PayPal.
What I want is for when it to goes to page 2 and then just submit without going to PayPal. This is where the problem lies.
I have another form where the use of the form gives a single fixed price purchase.
At the Adobe collect payment option page, the 'price' variable is 'fixed'.
All logic options work fine and are set up exactly like the above described one for the problem form.
What might the solution be?

I’m creating a form to be completed by college instructors in which they indicate their contact info, a course name and number, and information re textbook for that course. I need to pass it along as an Excel sheet with each ROW representing a RECORD for one book. See attached.
My original plan was to have the form first present a choice of subject (e.g., ENG, HIST, POLSCI) and then use a logic rule to pull up the relative small subset of courses under that subject. That went south in a hurry when I imagined what the spreadsheet was going to look like since there has to be a column for each subject area from the first question. I could have four dropdown boxes subsetted according to the division choices in the previous question on the form, but I still end up with a spreadsheet that’s a mess.
I’ve considered having the instructor key in the course number and title, but college faculty are even less reliable than their students.
If you’re more interested than you should be you’ll note that the choices in the dropdown box contain course number, title, and number of students in one field. The target Excel sheet has them in separate fields. I’ll handle that by using text to columns in Excel.
I’d appreciate any wisdom you might share. Since the only way to build the drop down is by copying and pasting each choice, you can see why it occurred to me to ask if there’s a max before doing 401 and then it won’t take the last 10!!

Using a multiple word choice in a dropdown field to fire a java script
I'm a complete beginner to java script, and relatively new to form building in Acrobat.
I'm using a dropdown field to auto-fill other fields based on my 1st dropdown selection.
The 1st dropdown field allows me to select a variety of vendors. Once I select the vendor, it auto-fills the contact info for that vendor.
I plagiarized the scripting from this link: https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/change_another_field. I even changed my field names for the time being. I'll change my form field names back and the script to match once I have it working the way I want.
If I use a single name in my vendor dropdown (1st field), the script works perfectly and auto-fills the contact information as expected. However, many of my vendors are two or more words...and I need these full names to print out, so I cant just make a one word contraction. Here's the script as I'm using it:

For capturing the selected value from the dropdown (ComboBox in SAPUI5) field use the change event of the combobox UI element. Within this you can get the selected value using the getLiveValue() method of the combobox.
Then depending on the value you can set the visible boolean property of your checkbox.

What are the 3-bit field choices for Hw_Arm_Sel in PCI-6601

I am programming our own driver to operate the PCI-6601. For our application we need hardware arm option. I know it is possible to use 2 counters for that, but NI-TIO should support also hw_arm. Although it is not explained in the registry document at all, after some tedious check in the DDK examples I found that this bits are located in the Gi counting mode register. I know the position of the HW_enable as well as the position of the 3 bits for pin sellect options. What I do not know is What are the 3-bit field choices for Hw_Arm_Sel . I contacted NI support but got no support. How can NI sell boards and when a customer who is not using LAbview or Measurement Studio or DDK, but is implementing his own driver is then so arrogantly turned down from NI? Also, how can NI publish just part of the registers the board support, and when a customer contacs and asks for some registers get not at all support? I can not foretell the missing registers, and it is pretty unprofessional to document just partly the registers of 660x devices. And on request you got nothing.
I hope someone from the community know about this Hw_Arm_Sel 3 pin options. Otherwise, there is just an option of error and trial. Or simply throw the board in the garbage.

I haven't been able to speak to the developer who is the most familiar with TIO programming since he's out of the office, but I have come across his notes from when he was writing support for the DAQmx driver.
As I described earlier, the HW_Arm_Sel bits don't select a connector I/O pin, but an internal trigger signal. There are seven internal trigger lines, and the HW_Arm_Sel bits map directly to the internal trigger signal: 0b000 - 0b111 map to 0d0 - 0d7. In order to route an I/O pin to an internal trigger, you must also write to a few more registers.
From what I've read, there are two more register families that need to be programmed: TG_x_LevelEdgeReg and TG_x_CombinationReg, where x is the internal trigger number. In your case, you only need one pin from the I/O connector to be your arm start trigger, so TG_0_LevelEdgeReg and TB_0_CombinationReg will suffice for your application.
TB_0_LevelEdgeReg :: Offset 0x660
TG_0_LevelEdgeReg is only 8 bits wide, and maps as follows:
7..6: EdgeMode
5..0: LESel
LESel selects the I/O connector pin to use as the source for the internal trigger signal. 0d0 - 0d39 will select the I/O pin of the same number. NB: behavior for TG_x_LevelEdgeReg is more limited for triggers 1-7, and only a small subset of the I/O pins can be selected for those trigger signals. Trigger 0 can use any I/O pin. Setting these bits to 0d63 forces the trigger source low, and can be used as a way to 'unroute' it when you're finished with your program.
EdgeMode determines whether the TIO will detect an edge of the incoming signal, or just pass the signal level straight through. When detecting edges, it will latch the signal and generate a single TIMEBASE3 pulse instead. 0b00 sets level mode; 0b01 sets rising edge; 0b10 sets falling edge; 0b11 sets either edge.
TG_0_CombinationReg :: Offset 0x6A0
TG_0_CombinationReg is 32 bits wide, and has three fields of interest:
19..16: CombFunction
5..4: CombTypeB
1..0: CombTypeA
CombTypeA controls which trigger subsystem to use as the source for the trigger signal. Since you're coming from an I/O pin and using the edge/level subsystem, you must set these bits to 0b01.
CombTypeB is similar to CombTypeA, and although you won't be using trigger B, set it to 0b01 to be safe.
CombFunction performs a simple logic function on A and B. Since you're only using a single I/O connector, you only need the A output, so set these bits to 0b1100.
All of the other bits should be set to 0b0.
Unfortunately, I'm unable to test these statements since my test machine is currently being used for another research project. Please let me know what happens if you decide to test.

Create a dynamic dropdown field in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI
Hello all. I am trying to create a field in one of my forms using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI. I have a dropdown list of "main" items, and based on what is selected in that list, I want a second dropdown list to give different choices. I have searched and searched and have javascript that I thought might work, but maybe I am have a mistake or I am placing the javascript in the wrong place, becasue it is not working. I know very, very little about javascript, so any help would be so much appreciated.
I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI. I added a "new field", and selected "dropdown". The field name is ProvType. The dropdown options are:
Inpatient
Outpatient
Physician
I have the "Commit selected value immediately" selected.The field is not validated. The format is "none." There are no actions or calculations associated with it.
I then created another dropbox, and named it SubProvType. Under Actions, I selected the trigger as Mouse Up, and then selected the Action "Run a JavaScript." I selected the add button, and typed this in the JavaScript editor:

If what you are looking to do is have two dropdown fields, and the second one (concentration) be a list determined by what was chosen in the first one (newMajor) then this will work, if you are using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Create a dropdown field and name it newMajor. In the "options" tab. Make sure that you enter all of the items that you want in that list AND that they match the javascript (or this will not work.)
In this case, I believe you want the initial list to be:

BA - Communication (BACOMM)
BA - History (BAHIST)
BBA - Business Administration (BBA-BADM)
After you create the dropdown field and enter all of the options, go to the Validate tab, chose "run custom validation script", then copy and paste the following:

Auto population of data to fields based on other input field.
In overview screen, I have one input field "Business Partner" which contain search help. As soon as business partner selected from dropdown, the other input fields like Name, Address, City, state should automatically populated without hit of 'ENTER' key.
I verified with method DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT, but it is triggering only by hitting ENTER key. Is there any event or method which will trigger after business partner selected from dropdown? or any other option to achieve to auto populate the fields.

How to display data in tableview based on a dropdown filter selection

I have implemented a flow logic based BSP page to display the SFLIGHTS table when I open this page it displays all records in the table SFLIGHTS. I would like the set a drop down box filter on CARRID and CONNIND. Only once the user selects the CARRID and CONNID and presses on display buttont the data for that selection in the drop down box should be displayed.
Can you kindly share the code how I can put 2 drop down boxes and make the data retrieval on the page occur based on the dropdown box selection. The layout page is as below. Appreciate if you could kindly share the code to implement this.

Acrobat X Pro interactive Map/Dropdown fields
I create a variety of .pdfs for different purposes which are all related to the same parent (in this case a building on a site).
I now want to create an interactive map so that I can click the building (button, graphic shape or image etc) and be presented a collapsable list so that I can then select (from a list) the .pdf I am interested in (discipline specific) and open it in a new acrobat window. Each .pdf name in the dropdown list is to represent a separate .pdf file from the same or different network storage location (I am aware the file name(s)/location(s) must not change).
I have investigated Acrobat X Pro, Adobe Illustrator CS4 and Adobe InDesign CS4. I have decided to target Acrobat as Illustrator did not seem to allow linking and InDesign did not seem to allow List Boxes or Dropdowns for linking purposes. Also, I only wanted to create/manage one file (my interactive map)...my 'menu'...in graphical form...without going down the path of creating a web site.
Am I on the right track? Is this possible?
However, after adding the Dropdown field to my form (interactive pdf map), although it allowed any of the available list items to be selected, it DID NOT allow different actions for different list items!
I added two separate Open file actions (which could not be linked to the two separate list items)...one to open a pdf ffrom one location and the other to open a separate pdf from another location. When you click the field (button)...it just opens BOTH pdf files! Not what I wanted.
I would have thought that the very nature of a Dropdown list is to be able to select from a collapsable list and perform a specific action on that selection (after all, it does allow multiple similar actions, along with multiple different actions).

PrakashI believe you can use Partial Page Rendering (PPR) to accomplish this. You'd place a 'firePartialAction' event on the input field. This event would fire when you tab out and then you can invoke controlelr logic to set the other two fields appropriately.

Automatically update dropdown fields after .XSD file edit?
Miraculously, I have managed to create a dropdown field based upon values listed in an XSD schema file. I have then copied this dropdown field many times within my form as it is required in numerous places.
Going forward, my hope was that I could simply edit the list of values in the XSD schema file without ever having to update/refresh all of fields in the form again; however, after I edit the XSD file (to create additional dropdown values), the values in the dropdown fields do not refresh automatically. Shouldn't it be as simple as this? Do I have to reopen the form and perform some kind of refresh function? Does this update all of the fields at once?

Populate field based on other lookup field in form

In a list item in Infopath, I have a field which looks up a location. You can select the location in a dropdown list.
I want to fill another field with the manager name of the selected location. That manager name is a field in the other form also. In a Sharepoint workflow you can do such a thing (look for a specific list item in another list, based on a selected field in
that list).

For achieving your demand , please take steps in the InfoPath as below:
Open the list which contains the look up field using InfoPath.
Create a Data Connections from SharePoint list: Click From SharePoint List control under tag DATA -> Input your site URL in the Data Connection Wizard page -> Select the original
list -> Select Location and Manager field -> Enter a name for this data connection(such as Test) -> Finish.
Create a Rule for Location look up field :
Condition: LocationLookUp is not blank
Rule type: Action
Run these actions: Add “Set a field’s value”

Adam SadlerHere's a script that you can use for the custom Validate script of the dropdown. It resets the value of the corresponding text field whenever a change is made to the dropdown. You can get rid of the line that does this if you don't want this to happen. Change "text1" in the code to match the name of the text field you're using.
