Login in a hosted account

I'm trying to login my users automatically from my website to adobe connect.
The goal is to automatically register my users in adobe connect as soon as they register in my system ( I don't have problems with this part ) and to have a link inside my system that loads adobe connect inside an iframe.
My problem lies in making a call like the one described in the webservices
example.com/api/xml?action=login&login=[email protected]&password=happy&account-id=295153&session=Sbreezzd2dfr2ua5gscogv
(in my case the example.com is something like meetxxxx.adobeconnect.com )
This doesn't work because I'm in a different domain and I can't set a cookie this way.
How can I login my users in adobeconnect without them being prompted with the loginscreen?
Or is it possible to open the meeting with the session value? I have tried something like   meetxxxx.adobeconnect.com/myMeeting&session=Sbreezzd2dfr2ua5gscogv but this is not recognized.

You may want to try posting to an iframe.  I haven't tried it myself though.

    You asked durrning Adobe's shutdown week, so the answer is slow in comming. As I recall, I had to log out and log back in for the new version 9 features to wake up, but it may have been a browser cookie issue. If you truly don't have Connect 9 (you can double check by mousing over the "Help" link on the login page and it will show your version of Connect), then you should call support at 800-945-9120.

    I'm currently experiencing a similar problem to yours.
    My situation is that I have just created a new user account which is part of our media users group.
    This group is in the list of allowed users for our mac pro client host, but when I attempt to login using their credentials I get the same error you had, namely that their home directory is located on a afp or smb server (which is of course the case).
    I hope you can tell me a resolution that doesn't require a re-installation of the OS.

  • No task bar/menu bar or icons appear when I login into my main account, however this is not a problem with my guest accout

    So was trying to use install disk ! to solve the problem but did not want to reinstall the system because I have not backed up many of my photographs.  Then the disk got stuck and would not come out so when I shut down and restarted I could not get past the gray screen.  Well I was able to solve the problem and remove the disk, and finally it would load to the login screen, although it took some time to get there.  Then when I log in to my main account the desktop will load but the task bar and icons will not its completely blank except for the wall paper.  When I login into my guest account there is not a problem everything is there and functional. I've been researching but have had no luck on a solution.  Thank you for your help.

    Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
    *Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

    Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
    (Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
    If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

    The new but not-ready-for-prime-time autocomplete method searches for matches that contain the entered text, not just ones that begin with the string. Your options are:
    1) type in longer strings that narrow the search
    2) use an add-on to search just the beginnings:

    I also have the same problem, however if I use Firefox or Opera sites with ssl connection work fine. Still, I can't use Google Chrome (ssl), Safari (ssl), the Mac app store (generally), or the iTunes store (generally). Both the iTunes store, Safari and the app store won't respond, and Chrome displays this error: (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT). The problem persists regardless of what network I'm using. Also, when trying to access the keychain or iCloud, the process will not start (will hang). I didn't have these problems at all before updating to 10.7.2.
    Sometimes rebooting helps, and sometimes not. If the problem disappears by rebooting, then it only lasts a few minutes before it reappears. It is very frustrating, especially since there doesn't seem to be any obvious or consistent way of which to fix it.
    I'm also using a Macbook Pro 13-inch mid 2010.

    Okay, so this is an issue that I think needs to be dealt with. I get the feeling that my skype account is being used from another computer. This is evidenced by many of my contacts attempting to contact me while I am offline, stating that I appeared to be online for a short time while I was not, as well as confirming that during that period online, messages DID go through (As indicated by the lack of the little spinning gray thing or text immediately switching to a time as opposed to "Pending"). Now, I've already done the typical stuff indicated in the volley of useless copy-paste advice; 1. Changed password (Multiple times, but you HONESTLY think that this will stop a hacker with a good keylogger, or a bit of brute-force computing power, for very long?) 2. Checked systems for malicious software (Done multiple times, with multiple Anti-viruses. Nothing was found, but I don't expect them to be very good at finding potential Keylogger-esque things, especially custom well-made ones) 3. Watched internet access by programs (This I couldn't really do, since there's so many IP's addressed, and so many possible ways information could be forwarded to a receiver by a virus or whatever. It's near impossible to keep an eye out for suspicious processes on modern systems, since there are so many, and so many ways for a virus or spyware to hide within an existing process. Heck, for all I know it could be hijacking skype to do that, I'd love to know what those thousands of random IP addresses are that it accesses!) 4. Reformatted system (Done this many times as well.) Now I know some may feel I'm paranoid, but I have to ask; So what if I am? As a paying user of Skype, I feel that there is insufficient measures of security, and honestly, I feel that based on how matters like these have been treated with only the typical cut-n-paste "change your password", it seems like it's taken as a joke! So, because of this, what I want to know is what options I have to trace the history of logins to my skype account based on IP address. I can't find any information on this, and that in itself is disturbing. Also frustrating is how I can't seem to find information on how to contact customer service either to inquire about this issue. I know I'm possibly going to get a few "If you don't like it, don't use it" 's, but if anyone can name an alternative service with similar functionality to skype, with similarly sized userbases, I'll gladly start giving my money to them instead.

    MPD has nothing to do with PulseAudio, it's just a music player. The tips and tricks to configure it so use another user's PulseAudio are also specific to it.
    You have many options, one of them is to setup PulseAudio as a system-wide daemon. Or set it up as its own user and allow all users to share the PulseAudio instance.
    But what I really think happens is that the X session is not reset properly when a user disconnects and the other one login again.
    Try this first:
    1- Switch to a console (Ctrl+ALT+F1)
    2- Login as user A, and issue a "startx" to start X11. Play some music, use PulseAudio, open pavucontrol.
    3- Logout from X11, and logout of that terminal.
    4- Login as user B, and do the same as #2.
    That will tell us many things about where it may cause problem. If it works that way, then you will need to reset X11 properties (I'll tell how). If it DOESN'T work, then the other server might still be running. Then run "ps aux | grep pulse" in a terminal to check if it's running.

    I have a Mac mini running the latest version of OS X and Server. Been running fine and flawlessly. However, I had a strange problem with the iCloud preferences panel crashing when I tried to access it, so I rebooted. Now I can not log into the system with any accounts. My master admin account (along with all the others) gives me the error:

    I am able to see the server from other macs and I can log into it using the same account, but it only shows me a few of the shared folders I have access to but NOT to my main directories.
    Rebooting into Command-R and doing a disk utility, I try and repair permission on that drive and get a bunch of errors like:
    ACL found but not expected on Users
    Repaired "Users"
    ACL found but not expected on Users/.localized
    Repaired "Users/.localized"
    ACL found but not expected on Users/Shared
    Repaired "Users/shared"
    ACL found but not expected on Users/Shared/.localized
    Repaired "Users/Shared/.localized"
    Permissions repair complete.
    But rebooting is no joy...same problem. Any idea what is going on or how to repair it? Should I do a time machine restore? Complete new OS X install? Any idea what is causing this or how to salvage it?

    Got everything to re-install and it worked fine...for a few hours. Then I came in to find ALL of my network users deleted. Just GONE. Then found out the Open Directory was trashed and was unable to open, recover or restore from a backup. Looks like I may have a bad drive here.
    I installed a new drive in the system, re-installed and so far (for a couple of hours anyway) the system seems to be working and stable.

But the problem is, the application is added to login items of only the user who installed the application.     You must have had find my iPhone on, or it was locked by your phone carrier.
    Call your our cell carrier first.
    then log on to a computer to iCloud to erase your iPhone.  
    NOW... You will be able to setup with a backup.

    I think this is the problem. .hackers is no valid cookie domain. You have to use something like:
    .xy.ab
    (two points)
    I fear it is not possible to correct this easiely. First change the hostname to something allowed e.g. hackers.com
    Then open an ldap browser and edit ou=iplanetamplatformservice,ou=services,dc=hackers
    There is an entry with an xml. Copy the xml to an editor, search for .hackers, change it to a valid domainname.
    Im not sure if a restart of the webserver is necessary here.
    Another idea: You could also try to set the cookie domain to solnce.hackers, maybe this is accepted, even if it is not a cookie domain. But I dont know if this works...

    Do you speak of true blue Java or Javascript?  If the latter then it is a problem with the Browser.
    But if it is the real Java, do you have the offical version of Java from Oracle installed?
    Getting applications to see official Java is a nightmare.  If you install the Runtime Environment only (JavaRTE) most applications do not see it.
    To force offical Java system wide, I found you have to install the Java Developer Kit (JavaJDK).  It's a larger install as it also comes with documentation and compilers but it make offical Java system wide.
