Login Issue in Safari since 5.1 update

Since updating to 5.1 on my iPhone, I cannot login to some websites. I don't get an error message. It just brings up the same login page again with all the fields cleared. I already checked on other devices to make sure I had the right user name and password. I also tried clearing the history. I'm not sure what else to try and am not updating the software on my iPad until this is resolved.

Hi, i need help, okay..my issue is that since the lastest update for the ipod touch, my music list is all over the place....my question is how can i get the itunes main music playlist to appear the same on my ipod touch?

    Hi Lawrence,
Thanks for your prompt response, however I have first seen it now. I have placed an active SIM card in the iPhone turned it off and on. It now says SIM locked, please write access code. The problem is I don't remember the password. When I connect it to iTunes it tell me that I have to write the password before it can be used with iTunes...... Do you have any good ideas? I see you are from the NYC area.... used to work there back in the early 90´   Those were good days..... What a City

  • Login Issues in Safari 3.0.4

I am currently running Safari 3.0.4 on my Macbook, but I am experiencing problems logging into a few - Facebook, my Webmail server and even Apple Support!
I have set cookies to allow them from any websites, but now every so often, when trying to log in to my webmail it Simply will not allow me. This problem also happens with Facebook, in that it will suddenly log me out and then tell me I need to "log in to see this page", but it does not let me log in.
The way I overcome this usually is to go into my cookies and delete all the ones both Facebook and my webmail server have downloaded, and then I can log in again.
The only thing Facebook have told me is to allow the cookies, which I have already done.
I can always log back in but it is quite annoying because it happens a few times a day.
Is there anything that can be done. I don't think it is my laptop because the same thing is happening on both my Macbooks.
    Many thanks.

I am facing the same issue with Safari and Firefox today. I can't seem to be able to login into Facebook whatever I try. Something to do with cookies but all other sites that require cookies (gmail etc..) work fine. I made sure that my web browser accepts cookies but nothing seems to be working.
Other issues include getting the site to look right. In the past few weeks, facebook would sometime load up in simple html (no graphics etc..)
If it helps, I am on BT broadband and maybe it is a network issue.

  • Syncing issues with 4S since iOS 8 Update

Any iPhone 4S owners having issues syncing to iTunes since "upgrading" to iOS 8?  I have a 32 GB phone and I've had make almost 12 GB available to even get the phone to sync.  I had to delete half my music library and a bunch of apps!!  I'm ******!

    Hello DeanP92,
It sounds like you have re synced your music to your phone but they still aren't being listed correctly. I would next unsync your music, quit the Music app:
iOS: Force an app to close
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that reset the device and sync your content back one more time:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • What is going on with Safari since the last update?

It hangs up with that annoying pinwheel, but never retrieves a web site.  I reloaded and it seemed to be ok a couple days ago,  but now doing the same thing again.

From the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then uninstall them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by reinstalling it. That will revert its settings to the defaults.

  • Safari 8.0.2 updated on the 20Jan2015 and Link from Mail do not open | Advertisement pages opens | Blank page do not open on new window click, etc

    Hi!
Safari 8.0.2 was last updated on the 20Jan2015 and is my default browser.
Below listed are issues with Safari after last two updates.
When I click web link from mail, Safari does not open that link. I changed to Chrome browsing & it works.
When I click to open new window from the dock, I get last browsing page of the previous opened window web page, where by my setting is for a bank page for a new safari window. .
Every time I click on the link to open in the same browsing web page, a new tab opens with advertisement web page. How can I stop advertisement pages to open automatically.
Safari does not open first time by one finger single click on the safari icon from dock, need two finger click and then select the preferences.
Thanks, will await your assistance & if required updated version at the soonest.

Since the os7 update on my iPad, my safari is not right, it only opens one page at a time, crashes when trying to open more, it has no back button. Help

Well, I rebuilt the entire workbook... that was a few months ago and so far, the problem hasn't resurfaced. It really wasn't fun to do, but whatever glitch there was in the file, I eliminated it.
I think I should mention that I am using Office v.X, NOT Office 2004. I got a new Intel iMac this week and yesterday when I opened up my files, it opened up the test drive (a JOKE of a program if you ask me) Anyway, some of the very minor issues I had with Office v.X were solved in the 2004 version. (When opening up large multi worksheet files without Excel being already opened, the tabs have white text) Anyway, I am still going to wait for the universal version to come out, but it seems that the newer versions may have fewer glitches (as is to be expected)
At any rate, best of luck to you!

  • Wifi issues with iPad mini since iOS 8 update

I Have a First Gen iPad Mini now running on iOS 8.1 . Since the original update of IOS8 . I have had issues with Wifi it connects disconnects itself always looking for a signal.. Nerve had this issue before update of the new IOS 8. It's extremming slow and the apps and Safari keep crashing.. It becomes unresponsive unable to click on website . It also freezes .. I've have numberous  times  done a complete factory reset . Still having issues. I have reset my router and I don't have any issues with any wifi at the house. I do have a iPhone 5 that had the exact issue as my IPad mini but it was replaced under warranty via Best Buy. When I reciecevd my iPhone it was still operating on IOS 7 . The gentlemen at Geek Sqd told me to NOT to upgrade the software till Apple gets a fix.. They had a lot of people in with the same problem and there devices needed to be replaced. My last resort would be to go to the Apple Store and hopefully they can help or buy a new IPad. As far as the new iPad Air2 I have seen here they too are having issues.. Hopefully Apple can fix this soon.. Till then I will not be upgrading my iPad if a new one will have the same issues..

My iPad Mini 32GB w/4GB free space is working OK.
Downloaded IOS 8.1 thru iTunes on iMac
    Unplug cord from iMac
    iPad
    Reset all Settings
    Reset Network Settings
Hook up iMac and iPad then trust computer
    Computer accept iPad
Download Camera Roll pics to iMac
Complete iPad Auto download to iMac in iTunes
    Sign on to iTunes
    Log on to Wi-Fi
Unplug iPad from iMac and all is good so far after 2 hours.

  • Garbled Text/Odd font in Safari since updating to Tiger.  Java related?

I seem to be having a problem with Safari since I updated to Tiger.
I'm running Safari 2.0.3, and have been encountering problems with garbled text in a strange font when Safari loads certain pages. The text often overlaps making it impossible to read.
A friend thinks it might be Java related. I've tried clearing the cache and resetting Java, but it hasn't helped.
    Here's a screenshot example: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/tashamay/Picture2.jpg
On the Petfinder.com page specifically, if I go directly to their home site everything is fine, but once I try and search the results come up all messed up.
I also have a problem with it when I try andl log into gmail. "Loading" comes up on the screen in the garbled text font as if it's trying to load an applet, but nothing happens. I eventually get the spinning rainbow of death and have to force quit.
    Any ideas?

    Hello tashamay:
I am not an expert in font issues, but you may have corrupt fonts. Open "font book.' Select all and run resolve duplicates. Then select all and run validate fonts. I also have read that Helvetica fractional fonts have caused some rendering problems.
I would also clear the Safari cache again.

  • Ever since I installed the Safari 5.1.7 update my trackpad malfunctions.

Ever since I installed the Safari 5.1.7 update, my trackpad does not functing well. I know its not a faulty trackpad because it also malfunctions when I install a different mouse. The malfunction happens when I launch the Safari application. How do I fix this? Is there a way to undo a software update?

Try rebooting into Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. I'm thinking one or more may have become corrupt. Have you done any basic troubleshooting such as removing he MTP's batteries and restarting it or restarting the computer or anything else?
Also PLEASE  use the Profile Update , otherwise we cannot tell anything about your system which makes it extremely difficult to troubleshoot.

It will input your Quicken PPC data file directly if it was Quicken 2005 through 2007.  If older you need Quicken 2006 or 2007 PPC first to convert your data file; and this update must be done BEFORE you upgrade to Mavericks:

Filemaker Pro PPC (in this case 7) running in Snow Leopard Server installed into Parallels for use in Lion, Mt. Lion and Mavericks:

This solution allows you to run your Photoshop Elements in Mavericks concurrently with Filemaker Pro PPC.  Mavericks is a free download.

  • Project Server Cumulative Update August 2013 install failed due to login issue/interruption

    Hi all,
I was in the process of running the installer (exe) for the August 2013 Cumulative update "uber" hotfix for SharePoint 2013 and Project Server today (KB2817615) on three servers. I was connected to the servers via Remote Desktop, logged in as the
    Farm account.
On one of the servers, somewhere during the installation, my Remote Desktop session got "hijacked" by another user who was not aware of the ongoing process..so he was logged in as the Farm account for a few minutes.
I logged back in and found that the install dialog was gone...apparently the install stopped due to the interruption in logins. So I attempted to re-run the hotfix installer, but it now says "There are no products affected by this package installed
    on this system."
I've tried clearing the timer cache and running the installer using "PACKAGE.BYPASS.DETECTION.CHECK=1" but neither has worked.
Any ideas on how this can be fixed or re-run?
    Thank you for your assistance!
    Regards,
    Kevin Worthington

    Hi Kevin,
Were you able to resolve this issue. I didn't have any interruptions or login issue, the installation cancelled itself!
Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
