Logo fading when copy/pasting for no reason

Hello, please look at http://www.bellwoodbnb.ca/1.html The logo on the left (un faded is correct)
My logo on the file that i created it in looks perfect. When i create a new, blank AI file and paste it into it, it pastes as a faded version of my logo. I have gone through all the settings i could find between my two files and made them identical, it still happens. When i paste the logo into the same file it was created in it pastes correctly.
Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on?
Thanks in advance!

Replace the Pantone Plus libraries as described here:
http://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/pantone-plus.html#main-pars_text_11
At the moment printing this job in offset could get kind of expensive with all these Pantone spot colors. You need to convert the spot colors (Pantone) to process. Please see the manual on how to handle print color in general and swatches in Illustrator in particular.

  • CR duplication when Copy/Pasting text from a JTextArea

    I have a typical scenario of having text in a JTextArea. When I select some of that text and try to paste it either to an external text editor or even in the same JTextArea, I am getting extra line spaces in the screen.
    For example, if I have the following text:
    <a id=1>
       <b/>
    </a>When I copy paste it, I get:
    <a id=1>
       <b/>
    </a>When I looked to see what characters were being used for the CR, I see "\r\n". This is the standard line.seperator for Windows OS which is fine. When I save this text to a file using the Java I/O libraries, it is fine (no extra lines). But when copy/pasting it prints extra lines.
    Has anyone had similar problems?

    Has anyone had similar problems? No. How are you doing the copy/paste? Did you write your own routines or are you using the default Actions. By default, when a Document is loaded it will convert the "\r\n" end of line string to "\n" and store the single character in the Document. When you use the getText(..) method the enod of line string will be expanded to "\r\n" on a Windows system, but this should not happen in a copy/paste operation. How do you add data to your text area?
    This section from the Swing tutorial on "Text Component Features" has a working example of using copy/paste:

  • Can't shown chinese text when copy & paste data from server to Outlook, Word & notepad, etc.( Office 2013)

    Can't shown chinese text when copy & paste data from server to Outlook, Word & notepad, etc.( Office 2013)

    Hi
    As per the information and details provided by you, when you copy & paste a data from server to Outlook, word, notepad, then you do not receive the Chinese text.
    For Outlook, please follow these steps: -
    Close and reopen Outlook in your western locale (or switch the windows system to your Western locale if you changed that),
    Manually change the message from Western to Chinese encoding, which you can do in all versions up to Outlook 2007.
    If you want to stay in your Chinese locale in Outlook 2007, then:
    After you hit reply, go to the Option tab > More Options.
    In the Encoding drop-down menu, select the Chinese encoding you are working in (Not the encoding used by the person who will receive the message)
    Note:
    To set the Chinese locale in all versions up to 2007 the controls are under.
    Tools > Options. In Outlook 2010 File tab > Options > Advanced > International options.
    Unicode (UTF-8)
    is a good setting for multilingual users.
    Check the
    Auto select 2007)/ Automatically select (2010) encoding box.
    I hope this information will be helpful for you.

  • How do I disable copy/paste for most (but not all) of a .pdf?

    Hello, I'm trying to create a .pdf document that is a "how-to" guide.  I'd like to disable copy/pasting from 95% of this document, with the exception of a few sections that i'd like my users to be able to copy and paste and use as email templates.  I've gone ahead and set pasword security settings and un-checked the box for "enable copying of text, images, and other content".  Is there any way that I can enable copy/paste for just a few small sections of my document?  or is it an "all or none" function?
    Thanks in advance for your help.  -Geoff

    Graffiti, Can you please expand on that?  I'm using Microsoft Word as my original document.   I'll have mostly paragraphs of non-copyable text, with a few sections that contain sample email templates that will be copyable.  Example below.  Thanks, Geoff
    Here is my description of an amazing new process written in Word.  To use this process, copy the email template below and customize with your own name.

    Dear John,
    Copy this email and send it with your own name.
    Thanks,

  • How do you keep strokes, etc, from changing when copying & pasting?

    I am sure there is a simple solution to this problem, but I cannot figure it out and could use some help.  I have a graphic in one InDesign document (ID CS4 - using Windows XP Pro) and when I try to copy and paste it into another ID doc, it completely changes the strokes and fills.  It usually does the opposite of what is in the graphic (this happens with every graphic I try this with).  So if I have a circle that is stroke only, when I copy and paste it, it comes in with no stroke and a fill.  I have to use these graphics between documents frequently and some of them are complicated, making it difficult to spend the time correcting this problem.  When I tried adding the graphic to a library, it did the same thing.  It also changed it when I moved one page to another document.  Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening and how to make it stop?
    Thanks,
    GS

    Thanks for the reply.  While it wasn't the preferences, I did find a link on the link you included in your answer that led me to the solution.
    The problem was conflicting object styles.  The solution was to load the object style from the doc that included the graphic into the doc that I wanted to place the graphic in.  Then when I copy & paste, the graphic comes in perfectly.  The only problem is if there are other graphics in that doc, but now that I know there is an issue with object styles, I can pay attention to it as I design.
    I can always count on the forum for great answers!

  • Strange characters when copy/paste from Word

    Hi,
    I have in Word u2018hellou2019 and when I paste it in the Notes of IR and save it, it turns into  018hello 019 so the apostrophes transform into these strange characters.
    I checked with Notepad, Excel and Wordpad and this issue does not occur, only for Word.
    Do you know why this happens ?
    It should be a Word/IE setting as this issue does not occur on a Terminal Server. Only on usersu2019
    workstations.
    Thank you

    Hi Shiva,
    Some styles for font of rich text aren't be kept when I copy the content from Word 2013 and paste into a wiki page from SharePoint 2010/2013(even SharePoint 2007 like this
    post) site as same as yours, it looks like a limitation.
    As a workaround, we can publish the Word content as a Blog article in SharePoint site, then copy the content from the blog page to the needed SharePoint page, it will keep the rich text content format, you can have a try.

  • JTable: getColumnClass() causes instability when copy-paste

    Hi,
    I implemented copy-paste feature in MyJTable() class
    public class MyJTable extends JTable {
         public static final long serialVersionUID = 0L;
         public MyJTable(){
              super();
         public boolean editCellAt(int row, int col)
              setValueAt(new String(""), row, col);
              return super.editCellAt(row, col);
    }The copy-paste feature I downloaded from here: http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/javatips/jw-javatip77.html
    However when I try to implement MyJTableModel like this:
    public class MyTableModel extends AbstractTableModel {
         public static final long serialVersionUID = 0L;
         private Vector ColumnNames                = new Vector();
         private Vector<Vector> Data               = new Vector<Vector>();
         public MyTableModel(Vector<Vector> Data, Vector Col)
              this.ColumnNames = Col;
              this.Data = Data;
         public int getColumnCount()
              return ColumnNames.size();
         public int getRowCount()
              return Data.size();
         public Object getValueAt(int row, int col)
              return ((Vector)Data.elementAt(row)).elementAt(col);
         public boolean isCellEditable(int row, int col)
              if (col < 2)
                   return false;
              else
                   return true;
         public void setValueAt(Object val, int row, int col)
              ((Vector)Data.elementAt(row)).setElementAt(val, col);
              fireTableCellUpdated(row, col);
         public Class getColumnClass(int col)
              return getValueAt(0, col).getClass();
              //return super.getColumnClass(col);
    }I noticed that copy paste causes instabilities. It behaves in a very strange way. In general it does not work. The problem is when in getColumnClass(int) I return getValueAt(0, col).getClass(). If I return super.getColumnClass(col) copy paste is working but the TableModel is primitive (no checkboxes, no Dates, etc).
    The only workaround is to apply correct column rendering for specific columns like this:
                   public Class getColumnClass(int column){
                        if (column == 9)
                             return (getValueAt(0, column).getClass());
                        else
                             return super.getColumnClass(column);
                   }     Any ideas why copy-paste causes this behavior?

    From the JComponent class check out getActionForKeyStroke(...);

  • Copy-paste for HTML

    Respect,
    I have to implement copy-paste feature for HTML content (from JEditorPane).
    In my onButtonClick method I used something like this:
    JEditorPane doc = contentPanel.getActiveEditorPane( ) ; //my html content
    TextTransfer textTransfer = new TextTransfer( ) ;
    textTransfer.setClipboardContents( doc.getSelectedText( ) ) ;This works ok only for plain text (i.e. when I try to paste on MS Word, I got plain text).
    I need styled text, with all html tags, which MS Word is capable to display.
    Can anybody help?
    Thanks in advance.

    This is code that I can't use any more. Yes, I would maybe need to transfer images too (but not the moment). Now I just need too be able to correctly copy html content (all tags and headers). Is there any other "Transfer class"? Or, could I try to fire event like Ctrl+C? How do I do that?
    thanks for your time

  • Copy / Paste for the key of a Wifi connection on N...

    Hello,
    It would be great to be able to paste a password for the key of a Wifi network.
    When a key is more than 60 char long and has a lot of special characters, it is really hard to type (with a numeric key because it is not possible to use  the azerty keyboard on this screen).
    Also, to be able to select some text from a Txt file would be great (so I can copy a text file in the memory card of the GSM and then I can paste it
    Is there a way to do it?
    Thank you
    Marc

    Press and hold the 'pencil' icon and at the same time, push the cursor towards the text. You'll be able to see the text being highlighted. Once you've completely highlighted the text, you'll be able to see 2 options on screen: Copy / Paste. Select 'Copy' (with your finger still pressing the 'pencil' button.) Now let go of the pencil button, and press and hold it again, then select 'Paste'
    You can even exit the application that you were in and start a new one and paste your copied text there. The text will still be stored in memory until u either select another text to copy or restart the phone.

  • Space problems when copy/paste clip

    Import of an DV-Pal digitalized 59 min S8-film from a DV-cassette by Magic iMovie filled 11,77 GB of HD space. That's o.k.. But when trying to create a new iMovie project using copy and paste by already 6 clips of this film, together lasting ca 1:28 min, new project's need of HD-space exploded to more than 33 GB. The menu diplay for format choice only shows DV, no differentiation between PAL and NTSC. The new clipframes however indicate DV-Pal. I deleted iMovie preferences and reinstalled the program, but without a positiv result.

    what catspaw (greetings to NZ, hi Bruce!!) told you is:
    when you import 60min as one solid clip,
    and when you now choose a 1min portion of that clip
    and when you copy/paste that into another project. ..
    => iM doesn't move only a 1/60th of the original, but the full ~13GBs.. !!
    the idea behind this is, that you are allowed to 'modify' that shorter clip in the other project.. e.g. you can 'lengthen' it with the trimmers..
    you have two options:
    forget copy/paste, but Export/Full Quality your selections only.. due to dv, this is a lossless workflow, you don't lose any quality..
    or, on import:
    tell iM in its prefs, to 'chop' imports automatically into smaller chunks, e.g. 5min.
    it doesn't matter on editing or playback, if oyu have a solid clip or many single clips..
    copy/Pasting now a selection results in a much smaller 'background' file..
    hope, I could explain...

  • Slightly distorted aspect-ratio (and missing alpha channel) when copy/paste from Photoshop

    Maybe this is an old topic (but I didn't find anything on google or this forum):
    When I copy images from Photoshop to Flash, the aspect ratio of the bitmap gets distorted. A 728x90 Bitmap becomes 727.6x90 (and so on...). The dpi is set on exactly 72 on both programs. Is there any way to JUST get a 1:1 pixel copy? (except using another program like Irfanview as a "man-in-the-middle")
    Although I selected "32 bit color w/alpha" in the clipboard settings of Flash, the alpha channel seems to get discarded when copying from Photoshop. Shouldn't it at least work with Photoshop? I mean, it's an Adobe product after all and maybe the most commonly used together with Flash.
    Would just be nice if a copy-paste between PS and FL was an easier thing.
    I know there can also be a pixel-aspect somewhere (like used for video productions and wide-screen), but I didn't find settings for that anywhere.
    I still use Flash Professional CS5.0

    I'm on windows7 with CS5.5 and transparency and size are copied over just fine. You answered what would be my first question, 72dpi. How about the image mode. Are you using RGB 8bit?
    I've had lots of issues with the OS not handling transparency very well also, such right-click on an image on a website that you know is a PNG and has transparency, then paste it into photoshop, the transparency isn't saved.
    The route that always works (but is a PITA) is of course to save it as a PNG with transparency and just import it.

  • Insert Edit when copy/pasting

    Hey everyone,
    I've been using FCP for years now, so I feel silly that I don't know the answer to this....
    I am copy/pasting clips from one sequence to another, but want to insert clips into the edit points, rather than overwriting. Is there any shortcut or trigger for this?

    Thanks!
    One more question...
    When cutting a clip is there a shortcut so that there's not a gap remaining?

  • Acrobat 9 PRO windows help.. copy paste for dummy

    Help...please
    I open pdf documents, highlight the text, copy and paste into MS Word or other programs and the text spacing is all messed up. There are spaces between letters in words. How do I paste, copy or whatever? I want the copied pdf to look exactly the same in the created file that it is pasted into. If you can help, I'll need detailed instructions, my expertise is not computer stuff.
    Very specifically, I'm a student and am allowed to convert lessons and lectures from text to voice to listen instead of reading all day. The NaturalSpeaker program works great on Word documents, email, and everything except pdf files. It will work on them too ifI remove the thousands of spaces that appear after pasting in the program or a word document.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    You are in something of pickle.
    Not due to you or Acrobat.
    Unfortunately, whomever provides the PDFs you are using appears to have failed to deliver a well-formed Tagged PDF from an appropriate authoring application having adequate tag management.
    Tagged PDF is, by design (see ISO 32000-1), capable of supporting use of assistive technology applications, export of content (copy-paste is a sub-set of this) to Word (with layout - format- font info retained/provide), and reflow on mobile devices (tablets, smart phones, eBook readers).
    Of course, the AT application authors have to hold up their end by releasing applications that behave properly with regards to the ISO Standard.
    As PDF is very much a different format than that of a word processor the "copy-paste" of content does not behave in the manner we are all familiar with when doing this with a word processor file format.
    Acrobat X provides a much more robust export to MS Word of untagged PDF content than that provided by previous versions.
    Regardless, a well-formed Tagged PDF is usable by AT and Adobe Reader.
    Lacking a "proper" PDF you could use Acrobat Pro 9 to add tags to the PDFs.
    Then, export to Word or RTF.
    Or, save as to accessible text.
    Work this over with Word.
    Be well...

  • Garbled text when copy-pasted from a pdf document in Preview

    I have this PDF document which I created in NeoOffice. When I copy some text from it, then paste it somewhere (or just go to Finder>Edit>Show Clipboard) I see garbled text. Or, if I go into the search field within Preview and type a word which I know exists in the PDF, it doesn't find it. But if I copy-paste it from the PDF document window into the search field, the copied term appears garbled in the search field itself, but I do get search results.
    This happens only with this particular document, which I myself produced. No password/encryption or anything weird; just a straightforward print job from within NeoOffice.
    Any clues? Many thanks.

    happens to me all the time in preview, copying something that I need to paste, like a URL. Quitting and relaunching usually solves it, but now that won't work on the text I am copying today.
