Logo, hyperlinks jumping on the page!

Hi guys,
I am creating a new version of my site using Dreamweaver CC (the pages are still in the early stages as you will see), but I just noticed that when I look at one of the pages (using Firefox - which says its the 'latest version'), I find that both the logo (at the very top), and also the hyperlinked text on the page (such as the hyperlink 'Shipping Locations'), literally jump around all over the place,  whenever I hover my cursor over them.   Both the logo and the hyperlinks move crazily from side to side - I've never seen anything like it before.  Yet on Chrome, they work fine and dont move. (nb. I am using Windows 7).  Here is a link, just in case anyone has any ideas, would be much appreciated!   http://www.mindtraining.net/dreamweaver/sports-mental-training/archery-target-panic.php
Many thanks,
Craig T

I've just checked in Chrome on Windows 7, and your logo is moving around like crazy. It's not just a Firefox problem.
I haven't gone through all of your CSS, but the reason the logo is jumping around so violently is because you're using a transparent png. When the cursor is over text, the :hover style kicks in, but when over a transparent section, the :hover no longer applies.
I managed to stop the crazy jumping around by applying an inline style to the logo, setting its display property to block. But it doesn't solve the problem of the navigation menu jumping up and down.
It looks as though you have a problem with the grid system you're using. In your header, you have a grid_4 and grid_8, but the grid_4 div has a height of zero, so the grid_8, which contains the logo floats all the way across to the left.

  • How to change the logo size on all the pages?

I have some 125 pages and i need to change the logo size of every page .Is there any method to change with one click that reflects on all the other pages ? Rather than i do it manually open every page and change the logo size? The logo is in the div. I want to use it as html rather than using as css div background image. Any help will be highly appreciated am using DWCS6 on win xp pro.

If the code is the same on every page, you could use the Find & Replace function within DW...
    1. Make a backup of your site files, just in case
    2. Make the necessary changes to one page to get what you want (make sure you know what the original code for it was/is)
    3. Hit Ctrl + F to open the Find/Replace Dialogue
    4. For "Find In" choose Entire Current Local Site
    5. In "Search" choose Source Code
    6. For "Find" put the line(s) of code that contain your background image on all pages (the original code mentioned in #2 above)
    7. For "Replace" put in the newly changed line(s) of code from step 2.
    8. Hit Replace All
DW will go through all of the pages, replacing whatever code you put in Find with whatever code you put in Replace.

    Hi Sunil,
I think we need more details about the problem.
Are you using enterprise or developing application?
What is the version of Crystal reports you are using?

Ihave installed firefox but cant use it as a service for internet i can open it up and after 2 seconds of it loading the slider bar dissapears and the whole web page shifts to the right making only half the page visiable

This issue can be caused by the Babylon Toolbar 1.1.8 extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Help. My pointer is out of control. It hardly responds to the trackpad. Instead it jumps around the screen on its own, opening windoes and app at random.
    At wits end. Any advice?

Try a PRAM reset, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379?viewlocale=en_US and if that does not help take the MBP to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs run their diagnostics.

  • The microsoft on-screen keyboard doesn't work with firefox. I try to enter type and it jumps around the page. I can't select anything on drop down lists.

I tend to use the on-screen keyboard. For about two months I've been unable to type text in firefox. I can't use dropdown boxes. I have to text to notepad then copy and paste it. I realize this is hardly a critical issue but I've loved using firefox for years and am considering going to another browser if I can't resolve this.

  • Adding company's logo in the Page

    Hi,
I added company's logo like this:
In the PageLayoutRN --- CorporateBrandingImage-- Image URI-- /OA_MEDIA/company_logo.jpg.
But unfortunately i can't see the logo when i ran the page locally. Do i need to setup anything..?
If i deploy this page to the application server do i need to set up anything..?
    Please please help.
    Thanks

There are couple of things you should note,
    1. You should place your image under $OA_MEDIA in the env or jdev wherever you are testing
    2. You can use personalization to modify the corporate branding image name which will pick your new image. This will only be applicable for the current page which you have personalized.
If you want to do the corporate branding change globally across all pages,
    1. You can rename the FNDSSCORP.gif and make your new branding image name as FNDSSCORP.gif in $OA_MEDIA, this will replace the corporate branding globally.
    2. We introduced a profile, Corporate Branding Image for Oracle Applications in one of the 11.5.10 RUPs which provides a clean way of replacing corporate branding globally instead of renaming FNDSSCORP.gif. If you are on a lower version and donot have this profile then the only way to do that is the first point.
Note - There is another advantage of using the profile, in 11.5.10 we have three brnading sizes controlled by FND_BRANDING_SIZE and the images needs to be of different sizes for each option. If you simply rename without considering this your branding might look distorted. With the profile we make sure to fit size of your branding image.

  • Framemaker 11: pdf does not "jump" to the link spot.

I have markers in a table side heading that I want a Xref to jump directly to (place the cursor in front of the text). It works in Frame, but when I save as>.pdf the link only jumps to the page and not the location  of the marker. Help???
PS...I am using Adobe Acrobat X to pdf.

    > Unfortunately I MUST use view as "fit page" when creating the pdf ...
That should be irrelevant. This is just about viewing the PDF in a reader.
Use marquee zoom to zoom in at some high mag on the hypertext. Click it. See where it goes, using -minus zoom in steps as necessary.
And once again, what reader are you using? Adobe Reader? Acrobat Pro? Acrobat Std? Stand-alone or from a web browser? Some 3rd-party reader or browser plugin?

  • Try 7.6 upgrade - install immediately jumps from legal page to "finished"

Trying to update to iTunes 7.6 from iTunes 7.1.0.59 on Windows XP home machine.
After downloading and clicking on the itunesetup.exe file, it goes to the setup page containing the legalese. After clicking on "I Agree", it goes to a promotional page for the iTunes store. This page has a white status bar near the bottom with the wording, "Searching additional packages."
The install sits on this page for about three seconds and then jumps to the page that says that "iTunes and Quicktime have been successfully installed on your computer. Click Finish to quit this installer."
I click Finish and then I re-boot and I find that I'm still using my old version of iTunes, not the new 7.6 version.
Any idea how to get the 7.6 install to go through the actual installation steps and upgrade my iTunes? Thanks!

<p>          Is another treatment option for people who seek  unobtrusive orthodontic treatment. Instead of brackets bonded to the tooth,  dental treatment is mapped out through a series of plastic dental trays  designed to move the teeth in incremental movements over weeks. The clear,  plastic trays are virtually invisible and are difficult to detect. With  Invisalign there is no irritation to the gums and they can be removed for  aesthetic reasons over small periods of time.
Invisalign is a solution for patients who are not in need of severe orthodontic treatment and is not a solution for everyone. In some cases, patients may require additional treatment if they have more dental malocclusions. Please schedule a consultation today if you want to find out if you are a candidate for Invisalign.  </p>

          <p> </p>
        </center>
<p>For patients who have missing teeth, dental implants could be the best treatment available. Dental implants perform similar to natural teeth. If you have healthy gums and bone, a dental implant can be placed  into your jaw. Once the tissue have grown around the implant, a strong, artificial tooth designed to match your existing teeth can be attached to the dental implant . The replacement tooth will look and function similar to a natural tooth.
    Endodontics (root canal therapy),
is a treatment for the pulp of a tooth which results in the elimination of infection and protection of the tooth from future microbial invasion
Common reasons for Root Canal therapy  include:
    - Decay has reached the nerve,
    - A cracked or chipped  tooth can cause the need for a root canal if the crack exposes a nerve
    -  trauma causes the nerve to separate from the tooth.
With the removal of nerves and blood supply from the tooth, it is best that the tooth be fitted with a crown which increases the prognosis of the tooth.

                          <p> </p>
<p>The same material used to create porcelain veneers, crowns, and bridges is also being utilized for more common treatments like cavity fillings. because tooth-colored fillings are made from materials similar in texture and color to natural teeth, teeth with white fillings are virtually indistinguishable from surrounding teeth.</p>
                          <h2>Dental Veneers:</h2>
                          <center><img src="images/veeners3.jpeg"/></center>
                          <p> </p>
<p>Veneers are thin, artificial tooth shells made from porcelain or tooth colored resin, custom fitted to bond to the front of your existing teeth. Veneers are safe and relatively simple to apply, and they can be used to correct stained, chipped, cracked, misaligned, and discolored teeth.
Veneers can also add tooth length, width, color and esthetic shape.  Veneers can reshape your smile in as little as two appointments.
    </p>
                          <h2>Crowns:</h2>
                          <center><img src="images/Crowns.jpeg"/></center>
                          <p> </p>
<p>Teeth that are badly weakened by decay or trauma may require more treatment than basic fillings. Chipped, cracked, weakened, or decaying teeth can be strengthened with crowns, which cover (cap) the entire tooth.
Now made with porcelain or other tooth colored material, crowns or bridges can be as pleasing aesthetically as they are functionally.
    </p>
                          <h2>Bridges:</h2>
                          <center>
                            <p><img src="images/Bridges.jpeg"/></p></center>
<p>When one or more teeth are missing, the remaining teeth can shift out of their normal position.  Teeth adjacent to the space or from the opposite jaw will often drift or tilt.  These teeth are often more susceptible to decay or gum disease because they are more difficult to clean around.
All of this shifting and drifting will lead to changes in the bite, which may put stress on the jaws, muscles and teeth.  Ultimately, your ability to chew comfortably and your appearance may be affected.
A non-removable bridge can restore your teeth to normal function by replacing missing teeth.  It will improve the entire health of your mouth by keeping the surrounding teeth in position and can also help maintain the structure of your face and jaw.</p>

    Use Named Anchors.
<a name="ortho">This is a named anchor point on the page</a>
    <a href="#ortho">This is a link to a named anchor</a>
If you want to get fancy, you can apply smooth scrolling to your anchors.

  • Create links in a index file to jump to other pages in the document

    Hi apple community,
I am trying to set up my first document in pages on the ipad.
I'm trying to make a index for my recipes at home. Now I would like to link them directly to the page where they are.
Can I do this with the function "hyperlink"? And how should I write it down if I, for example, want to jump to page 14 from the index-page.
I couldn't find in the forums a answer (or that it can't be done).
If not possible I really hope it's on the todo list for the pages app.
    Thanks in advance :-)

Edge animations run in an iFrame, which is technically a different page to the one you have placed the bit ton on. To get the button to link to an anchor on the main page, you'll need to create a literal link (/page.html#anchor) as an action in Edge. Make sure the target attribute is set to _parent.
that should do the trick but it won't be a smooth scroll like Muse normally does between anchors.

  • Internal hyperlinks only work aftger refressing the page with Firefox 16.0.2.

Using JIRA we can not focus on the internal hyperlink until the page has fully displayed. Once the page loaded then a refresh is required to jump to the link. Other browsers IE8, IE9 and Chrome work with out issue.

  • My ipad is jumping from different pages and it looks like someone is typing on the page.

Hi my ipad has started jumping from different pages and then the keyboard comes up and it looks like someone else is typing on the screen, can anyone help?

You can try these things first and see if they help at all.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit all apps and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • How to make it that when i click my logo, it goes to the home page?

I want to make it on my website, that when i click on my logo on the top of my webpages, it should go to the home page. How can I do that?
    My website is www.iphoneappguru.com
    Thanks!

Select the logo in iWeb and use the Inspector/Link/Hyperlink pane to link the logo image to "One of my pages"
However, I would not use the First menu option but select the page name instead.
