Logon redirect

Hi,
Iam customizing the logonpage.jsp, i have some conditions to check before redirecting the logon screen in to portal.
If my condition is not satisfied, it must submit to the same page and give some message.
I checked in the logonpage.jsp, the redirection and authentication are checking inside the logonbean.
How can i stop the redirection if my condition is not satisfied inside the logonpage.jsp.
Any help is appreciated.

Java script is not good idea for the security issues, end user can't se the logic behind the blocking.
can anyone give me the idea how to stop the redirection and authentication when my condition is failed.
i need to block perticular user group to access from internet.
i am checking the user group, if he is part of that user group and he is accessing from outside ihave to block the access.
for this we haver to submit the logon.jsp paeg to same and get the userID and check whether he is part of the group, if he is part of the user group and accessing from outside, i have to stop the redirection and authentication and throw the error.

Logon Load Balancing / Configuring Logon Groups problem

In existing system setting:
One Logon group (PUBLIC) and point to one instances. This setting is work and SAP LOGON default clinet no is 320.
I try to install one more instances on other server and add to same Logon group (PUBLIC).
Install compent as below:
SAP ERP 2005 Support Release 2 -> SAP systems -> MS SQL, Server -> High available system -> Base on ABAP System -> Dialog System
The instance has been installed and start and stop this instance is successful.
Add instance into logon group (PUBLIC)
Logon system via logon group, the logon redirect to new instanace server. But the default client no has been changed from 320 to 001. Change client from 001 to 320 and logon. But no response from new instance server.
Any suggestion to solve this problem.

I found the profile in profile directory as below:
default.1.pfl
COQ_D02_BSSPI11 (New Instance)
START_D02_BSSPI11 (New Instance)
COQ_DVEBMGS02_bssco11 (existing Instance)
START_DVEBMGS02_bssco11 (existing Instance)
I strat the new instance and add to Public group and logon successful.
The problem is in transaction RZ10.
I cannot select COQ_D02_BSSPI11 and START_D02_BSSPI11 profile from Profile field.
how to fix it.

Solution Manager - v3.2 - Fundamental Question

Hi
I have a fundamental SAP / SM question which I cant seem to actually clarify....
Do ALL SAP servers in a SAP Infrastructure have to have a servername of 13 Characters?...
When revieing the OSS it mentioned HOSTNAME...and it seems to use this interchangably with Computer Name...
So, for example...
Can I have a Solutions Manager server with a Netbios name of "SOLUTIONSMANAGE" - 15 CHARACTERS and a SAP ECC Server with a server name also with 15 Characters......?
The OSS and all the documentation refers to SAP Prereq of 13 Characters for the Host...but what is the host defininition in this case?..What does the 13 Character limit apply to? How do companies with Naming conventions longer than 13 Characters implement the landscape?

Error while Integrating SDN with portal using AppIntegrator

Hi
I am trying to Integrate SDN in Portal Using AppIntegrator.
When I am select SDN iview then it is connecting to the SDN but it is not login into SDN (Error is User Id or Password is not correct.).
The mapped User Id & password is working fine if I am login SDN directly.
System Property is
URI of web application: - /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.sdn.logon.redirect

Solution Manager 3.2 & SLD

Hello everbody,
i installed Solution Manager 3.2 Abap System. I also want to use SDL. I have read different Guides but i cannot configure SDL. In some Posts in this Forum the people write something about J2EE Visual Administrator. But this Tool isn't installed on my System.
My Question: Is it even possible to use SDL with Solution Manager 3.2 Abap System? Or do i have to install an Java System? And if it's possible, where do i get the J2EE Visual Adminstrator?

Encrption in EP6.0

The requirement is, we have to integrate a portal say sdn with our portal. We have to implement SSO in this. Is there any encrypting mechanism available in EP6.0 before sending the userid and pwd? Kindly help.

If you want to achive Single Sign On,then two methods are
available :
1) SSO with SAP logon tickets
2) SSO with user ID and password
SSO with SAP logon tickets is based on a secure ticketing
mechanism whereas SSO with user ID and password forwards
the users logon data (user ID and password) to the
systems that a user wants to call.
When we use USERID/PWD based SSO, it is unsecure and so
it is recommended that we protect the connections to the
backend systems using HTTPS or SNC to prevent the user ID
and password being eavesdropped by an external party.Also,
we should install the full version of the SAP Java
Cryptographic Library if you use user mapping so that
user mapping data can be stored in encrypted form.
The way SSO can be done depends on the server to which
SSO is to be achieved.
When the target server,say SDN is configured for FORM
based/Basic authentication, then the authentication
parameters-the userid and password needs to be supplied
to it in the login form so that it can be
submit/understood and the user may be authorized for
acccess. IF you see the source of the SDN login page,you
will see something like

So, it uses Method POST where UID/password are provided as text and not in encrypted form.
So, even if you send the userid/password in encrypted
form, the target would take them as simple String as it
is not meant/configured for decrypting the parameters and
the user would not be authenticated.

Portal Logon page repeating/ redirecting to itself on first attempt

All,
Apologies in advance if this is not the appropriate forum. We are in the process of migrating a NW7.0SPS13/EP7.0SPS13 installation from a remote site to a local site with a database only UME and SSO to an ECC6.0 backend. The new target installation has picked up a rather odd behavior. When loggin onto the portal, the logon page repeats/refreshes/redirects to itself with valid ID and password with no error message. The only apparent action is the clearing of the password field.
My only clue so far is the absence of this script in the http trace on the initial logon attempt which shows up on the second attempt:

You are correct, we are not implementing SPNego but at this point I will take any suggestions that might be conceptually related...
We are attempting to migrate/clone the entire server (OS,J2EE,MSSQL05...) from a remote hosted environment to a local network environment.
I checked the Everyone, Authenticated, and Anonymous groups for the correct roles/Java permissions and all seems to be in-line with the correctly functioning remote system with correct user assignment.
With some further log filtering I was able to where find this error:
The default keystore view [TicketKeystore] does not exist. Authentication stack: [ticket]. The possible reasons for that problem are: keystore does not exist or the user has no permission to read from the keystore view. You can delete the TicketKeystore and restart the engine so that the engine automatically re-creates it.
I suspect the SAPLogonTicketKeystore was recreated incorrectly... I will have the migration team recreate it again. FWIW, I am unfamiliar with the process of assigning user access to this object as the error suggests.

App-v 5.0 sp3 Publish application icons/ shourtcut missed on 2nd time logon on terminal server 2012 r2 with roaming profile with folder redirection

1. I updated app-v 5.0 sp3 environment on 2012 R2. Roaming profile users with folder redirection logon fine at first time applications icons available but at 2nd logon applicaitons icons are missed while packages are available. we are using existing
roaming profiles with folder redirection which are running in current environment through APP-V 4.6 2008 R2. Please suggest work around to resolve this issue.
2. TS Nodes of 2008 R2 with App-v 4.6 running fine on Microsoft 2012 private cloud but we are facing performance issue (stuck, slow logon, slow performance etc) when we are moving in new 2012 R2 private cloud. SAP, SCSM and other sevices are running
fine, please provide solution.

1.) What are you doing with the App-V Icon path? e.g. %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\AppV\Client\Integration\<GUID>\Root\AppVClientUX.exe.0.ico ?
I guess you could workaround it with deploying the icons to a central location and then pointing to the icon out on a central share. Or put the icons in a machine location...I haven't had this issue but that's just off the top of my head.
2.) I have not used App-V 4.6 in an environment like yours BUT would pre-caching the applications be possible? Any chance you'll be moving those apps into App-V 5.0 soon?

To redirect the Enterprise portal logon page

Hi all,
Due to a certain requirement from the client, I need to redirect the logon page, immediately after the user authentication in portal.
At present once the user key in the credentials, it is taken to the portal home page http://...../irj/portal.
Now because of the requirement, instead of the initial home page, i want to redirect user to another page.
e.g http://..../irj/KMdocument/.... . I would be storing the new page location in KM of portal.
Please suggest me a solution to redirect the initial start page in portal.

Also a little more explaintion on the issue for all:
User would you the link http://someadd/irj/portal... he would get the normal login screen, where he would enter the username and password.Once he has entered his credentials, he needs to be redirected to another html page or if we can change the initial screen windows features it should be fine.

Terminal Service - enable the "Start the following program at logon" cause my remote printer won't redirected?

After I enable the "Start the following program at logon" on my User account windows 2003 Server R2 cause my remote printer won't redirected when the Remote User is logon to the Server, I don't know why? I checked the Terminal Services Configuration already
and everything is fine.
And for you information, If I disable the "Start the following program at logon", the printer is redirected again, did I miss something in here?

I suspect that this application conflicts with Terminal printer redirection, whether all applications using "Start the following program at logon" option have this
issue or not. You may try another application to see if the issue is gone.
If your client PC is Windows XP, you may need install the Remote Desktop Connection 7.

Portal Logoff and redirect to my own (created) logon page

Hi experts,
one Question about "Portal logoff and redirect to another URL", and I know there already are solutions how to fix that, but I was not successfull with my doings.
I have a customized logon page. When I call "http://myportal:50000/irj/portal/anonymous", I can see my own logon page. That works fine.
Now to my problem:
1) I'm using SAP NetWeaver Portal v7.01 (VMWare) with Windows 7 (x64 Bit)
2) In Config Tool "ume.logoff.redirect.silent" is setted at true and "ume.logoff.redirect.url" (both under "Global settings") at "http://myportal:50000/irj/portal/anonymous". Than WebAS has been restarted.
3) In source code of the Portal page (Masthead), I could see that the setted values can be readed from config tool
4) So far I could understand, when the parameters are setted and "silent" is true, than a new iframe will be created which is append to the document (JavaScript: logoffThirdParty())
5) After this, the logoff form will submitted, that means xxxx.LogOutComponent is running. Think this components reads some hidden attributes as "logon_submit", and one of this should be the (new created) externalIFrame
Instead of my anonymous page, I see the default SAP logon page. I don't have made any changes on com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead iView (should be the right name I think).

Try to set the value ume.logoff.redirect.silent to FALSE and then restart and test. In my situation it worked.

Logon Par - redirect to new JSP

Hi,
I've to change the portal logon page.
My requirement is to redirect the logon page to test.jsp page.
from umLogonPage.jsp i'm trying to redirect to test.jsp in form method.
<FORM name="logonForm" method="post" action=test.jsp>
but the URL is not proper.
How can i pass the absolute URL for this.

Its possible to redirect to a JSP page from portal logon Screen.
There are several ways of doing this:-
1. Create a separate portal component (JSP Dynpage) and set the authscheme property is anonymous (because you are calling a portal component from outside) ie.
<property name="AuthScheme" value="anonymous" />
You can follow this method If JSP componentu2019s functionality is Independent than any login functionality.
2. You can modify the SAPMLogonLogic.java file which contains flow logic of all jsp files. The SAPMLogonLogic file is present umelogonbase.jar.
The umelogonbase.jar is under lib folder of the logon par file. Just extract the logon par file and navigate to PORTAL-INF -> lib to get the umelogonbase.jar

Redirection Issue on logon/logonServlet

Hi Experts,
We've a WD Java application on which we've put an authentication.
So, when we try to access the application we get http://hostname:Port/logon/logonServlet page.
When we try to access the WD Java application Url, we get the above login page and after entering the user credentials; we are able to access the WD Java application.
But if we try to directly enter the following url http://hostname:Port/logon/logonServlet on the address bar of the web browser, we could not access our WD Java application and instead we get the following error:
Cannot redirect to the requested application, the redirect attribute is invalid
We are on EP 7.01 PatchLevel 113005
Please suggest on how can we eliminate the error.

you are not supposed to access this url directly.
that url is not for your application.

Using Firefox 19.0 WIFI logon fails page redirect fails

Attempting to use Firefox at a variety of airports and hotels fails. The initial logon page is displayed but then the following pages which are redirects fail. Usual message is "Page not Found" Using the captive IP address does not work. Various combinations of settings do not work. AP has been associated and an optimum MTU has been determined via ping to the default gateway.

You should not need to disable antivirus to connect.
I assume you are not having Firefox block all redirects. You can check that setting here:

What are your connection/proxy settings in Firefox? If you choose "Use system proxy settings" then Firefox should use IE's settings. Or if you choose "No proxy" then Firefox should default to your wi-fi connection.

Can you think of any add-on changes you might have made since the T-Mobile days? A standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [[Backing up your information]]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode ([[Safe Mode]]) using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode."
If you can load sites normally, this points to one of your extensions or custom settings as the problem.

Logon failure redirection

Dear Friends,
I set up the logon failure URL from access manager, but still, once user failed the authentication from the login (of LoginProvider), user got redirected to the access manager login page instead of the one I specified.
Any ideas?

I have simply put a redirect on the login_failure.jsp which sends the user to the page I want.
You think you can find the page in AMPATH/web-src/amserver/config/auth/default
Please note that you have to either redeploy after changing it or to change it directly in the deployed application (won't recommend it, though!)
