Logs required for checkout functionality issue

Hi All,
We are getting the issue when we are trying to checkout records in MDM.
We are getting popup box saying that  "Database command execution error .A SQL statement failed to execute. The actual error
may have been written to a log file.Version 5.5 SP6(5.5.64.79)".
Some times we are getting the popup box saying that "The requested record was not found".
Anyway in both cases,we are solving the issue for timebeing by unloading and loading the repository with update indicies.
But the issue is repeating,we want to know the root cause for this to solve it permanently.
and we have opened the message for SAP but SAP asking me to provide logs to analyze the issue.
It is clear saying in the error "The actual error may have been written to a log file".
But i was not able to find the logs for the same.
Could you please tell me where excatly i can find the logs for the above issue?
Thanks,
Narendra

Hello Narendra
My point of view -  you have lost connection to SQL Server(this is Network connection problem)
For localize that errors you should use some  changes to mds.ini file:
Extra DBConnection Validation = True
"Makes sure that the DBMS connection is live
prior to every DBMS request and silently restores it if
necessary. Useful for the small minority of MDM
installations where the network connection between the
MDM Server and the DBMS is unreliable and frequently
lost. Improves reliability but slows the MDM Server"
Log SQL Errors= True
"Adds SQL error info to the rolling log."
Log SQL Modifications=True
"Logs every SQL modification of the underlying
databases. Should be set to True only at SAP request since
this generates a huge amount of rolling log info and slows
the MDM Server."
Log files you can get from SAP MDM Console
or from "Logs" directory SAP MDM Server

  • Detail Log required for FI_FICA

    Hello all,
When I run the Transaction SARA for the object FI_FICA for the Write step, the report dsiplays only the summary of the results.
I mean only the count of the number of the Objects that will be archived.
But I want to display a detailed log of which are the objects that are flagged for archiving. I tried to find out any Enhancements or BADI's but unable to find out.
Can somone please let me know if there is any scope to pull out the detailed report, by plugging in some custom code or if is there any other way to do that.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks & regards,
    Y Gautham

    Hi Gautham,
I don't know if you have already tried this but what you can do in the variant that you have created for the write program, at the bottom there are several select for the logs. For the first one "Detail Log" select "Complete", for the second one "Log Output" select "List and Application Log", save the variant and run the write program again (in test mode if you just want to see the output that you'd get). This should give you the detailed report that you're looking for.
Let me know if this works.
    Cheers.

  • Log required inside a function exit

    Hi All,
I am using enhancement MB_CF001. When the goods movement through MIGO transaction happens, i need to populate data to Z table and purchase requisition creation. I have a requirement to prepare a log if there is any error while inserting the data into Z table or while creating PR.
Please let me know is it possible by someway

One way to do this is to use the application log. Take a look at function group SBAL.

  • Advise Re: Hardware Required for Airtunes Functioning

I am about 2 years behind technology based on my zip. Think The Waltons Literally!
    This is what I want:
Airtunes fed from: iMac G5 March 2005 Model PPC
I want them in several rooms that have no stereo.
    I want separate playlists for:
    Bath
    Kitchen
    Patio
    Formal Dining
I have a 400 GB External Hard Drive with tons of Ambience for different moods & tasks.
Music makes a World of Difference in Moods & Attitudes! I NEED this! :O)
I am traveling 178 miles (one way) to my nearest Apple Store in the city and have no clue what I am supposed to purchase.
My husband is Driving & Paying as our daughter is competing in this Big City and I have no Shopping List!
Please help me as we're heading out at 8:00 A.M. Eastern Time Tomorrow.
    Thanks!

The multi-room function will only allow three AX's to work. Unless your computer speakers occupy one of those rooms or one of them is hard-wired to another stereo in another room, you won't get to all the rooms. You'll see in my profile that I run mutiple expresses off an extreme (in WDS, extendeding range but that is another issue). One room houses the iMac with the expresses feeding three seperate stereos. That means I have four rooms getting music with a fifth location (porch) hardwired to one of those stereos, giving me a total of five locations. With three computers I can can send different music to different rooms (I rarely do but I can). The only method I could think of that would allow you to do so using a single computer would be by creating mutiple user profiles on the iMac and launch iTunes in each sending each profile to a specific set of speakers. I have not attempted this but I do know that at least two profiles can play seperate music although one of those was only at the computer. In short (a little late for that) I think you are pushing your wish list just a tad too far.

  • Kernel requirements for HPLIP (not working) [SOLVED]

My printer (connected to the network through my router with a static ip address) used to work fine with HPLIP and CUPS. When I last tested, I was (and am) using a custom-compiled zen kernel; the relevant modules that I compiled (separately, not into the kernel) are plip, ppdev, and parport. I am guessing that it is a combination of package upgrades and my custom kernel that is causing the problem below:
My printer is detected by CUPS, and I can see it on localhost:631. When I send jobs to it, it begins "processing" them, then hangs on a (to-print) page and I see the message
    /usr/lib/cups/backend/hp failed
I deleted the printer from CUPS and re-added using
    sudo hp-setup
The process goes just fine, with hp-setup only throwing a warning about how dbus must be running for the PC to fax (with which I am not concerned).
    When I run hp-testpage, I get this:

I didn't have python-dbus installed, which I did. hp-check -t still throws some errors, but I don't see how they are related to the printer not working (more scanning-related issues). Here's the new output of hp-check -t:

  • Web Analytics for SharePoint 2010 Issue

    Hi Guys
I've provisioned Web Analytics in our SharePoint 2010 farm.  But I am not getting any figures in the reports.  Just all zeros.  The Web Analytics Service & Proxy are running, the staging & reporting databases appear to be populated
& there are .USAGE files being generated.  I have restarted services & rebooted all servers in the farm.
    Message is:
There is no data available for this report. Here are some possible reasons: (1) Web Analytics has not been enabled long enough to generate data; (2) There is insufficient data to generate this report; (3) Data logging required for this report might not be
enabled; (4) Data aggregation might not be enabled at the level required for this report.
    I have looked at:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/5fdd162a-72f2-4146-a3a7-925b86bc085e/sharepoint-2010-web-analytics-not-working?forum=sharepointadminprevious
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sharepoint_strategery/archive/2012/03/16/troubleshooting-sharepoint-2010-web-analytics.aspx
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Hi Darren,
After you have created the Web Analytics Service Application you will have to start two services for populating the data. Go to Central Administration –> System Settings -> Manage service on server. Start the following two services:
    1. Web Analytics Data Processing Service
    2. Web Analytics Web Service
Choose which events you want to log
Once the services are started go to Central Administration –> Monitoring –> Configure Web Analytics and Health Data Collection and set the appropriate logging, you’ll want to make sure you’re logging following:
    1. Page Requests
    2. Search Query Usage and so on
Associate the Service Application with the Web App
    1. You also want to make sure that your Service Application is associated with your Web Application, so go to Central Admin –> Manage Web applications
    2. Highlight the web application you want and click “Service Connections” in the ribbon bar.
    3. Make sure the Web Analytics Service Application is associated with the web app
It is recommended when using a multiple server farm to start these service on multiple servers.
After you have performed these steps you can use the Web Analytics reporting. It can take one day before you can view any results. This because the data has to be populated.
Note: i am assuming that you have already created "State Service" service application which will generate charts.

  • ISSUE: "This domain controller must register a DNS SRV resource record, which is required for replication to function correctly"

so we currently have three domain controllers set up, two of them on 2012r2 and one of them on 2008r2. prior to any of these domain controllers being added to the domain there was only one, running on 2003r2. the 2003r2 server was up and running when the
first 2012r2 was added and that's when running 'dcdiag /e /c /v' would yield an issue with "_ldap._tcp.9a5f3c17-e7ac-48f7-ab42-bf1ea621a6f5.domains._msdcs.cmedia.local" in the DNS portion of the diagnostics, specifically:
    TEST: Records registration (RReg)
Network Adapter [00000010] Microsoft Hyper-V Network Adapter:
    Error:
Missing SRV record at DNS server 192.168.22.4:
    _ldap._tcp.9a5f3c17-e7ac-48f7-ab42-bf1ea621a6f5.domains._msdcs.cmedia.local
after adding the second 2012r2 to the domain, this issue is still there... adding the 2008r2 server to the domain and running BPA it gives the following:
    Title:
This domain controller must register a DNS SRV resource record, which is required for replication to function correctly
    Severity:
    Error
    Date:
    7/3/2014 11:24:48 AM
    Category:
    Configuration
    Issue:
The "DcByGuid" DNS service (SRV) resource record that advertises this server as an available domain controller in the domain and ensures correct replication is not registered. All domain controllers (but not RODCs) in the domain must register this record.
    Impact:
Other member computers and domain controllers in the domain or forest will not be able to locate this domain controller. This domain controller will not be able to provide a full suite of services.
    Resolution:
Ensure that "DcByGuid" is not configured in the "DnsAvoidRegisteredRecords" list, either through Group Policy or through the registry. Restart the Netlogon service. Verify that the DNS service (SRV) resource record "_ldap._tcp.9a5f3c17-e7ac-48f7-ab42-bf1ea621a6f5.domains._msdcs.cmedia.local", pointing to the local domain controller "CM-DC4-NY01.cmedia.local", is registered in DNS.
More information about this best practice and detailed resolution procedures: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=126968
I've tried scanning and then re-scanning every single entry in DNS Manager and do not see any reference to this specific GUID mentioned, nor do I see any other domain controllers referenced that should not be in there. The two 2012r2 and the 2008r2 domain
controllers are the only ones listed in DNS Manager... the 2003r2 mentioned earlier failed and was removed.

Just to chime in, I noticed that you said you have one 2008 R2 DC, and two 2012 DCs.
I also noticed in the ipconfig /all that all DCs are pointint to themselves for DNS. We usually like to see them point to a partner, then itslelf as the second entry, w hether loopback or by its own IP.
Based on that, what I suggest to level the playing field by choosing the WIndows 2008 R2 DC as the first DNS on all DCs and only administer DNS using that DC. The reason I chose that is because of the least common denominator is what we rather use so we
don't invoke any new features in the newer 2012 DNS console that 2008 R2 may not understand.  After that's done, on each DC run (and you can use a PowerShell window to run this):
Rename the system32\config\netlogon.dns and netlogon.dnb files by suffixing ".old" to the file.
    ipconfig /registerdns
    net stop netlogon
    net start netlogon
    Then re-run the dcdiag /e /c /v.
    Post your results, please.

I thought the DNS entries were supposed to be the other way around? point to themselves first and a partner as secondary? regardless, as requested, I've changed it to what you've prescribed where they point to the 2008r2 server as the primary with themselves
as the secondary. I've also followed the steps to what seems like refreshing the DNS? on each of the DCs. Here's the output from dcdiag /e /c /v

  • Making a flexfield segment 'required' for a particular function

    Hi
How do we make a flexfield segment 'required' for a particular function.
I don't want to make this field required from core applications(System administrator), but only for a function.
    kindly give Suggestions..

I understand that this is a issue, as a workaround you can do this for your page alone.
    1. Get the handle to the flex bean segment in your page
    2. make it required.
This is what the devguide says
    1. Find the flex bean by attribute name and call processFlex() on the flex bean.
    2. Call getIndexedChild(int) to extract the TextBeans from the flex bean and do whatever you want.
code shld be something like this
    OAPageLayoutBean page = oapagecontext.getPageLayoutBean();
    OAMessageTextInputBean segmentBonus=(OAMessageTextInputBean)page.findChildRecursive("OfferDetailsFlex0");
    if (segmentBonus!=null) {
    segmentBonus.setRequired(true);
    Thanks

  • You do not have permissions to access a database that contains data required for this form to function correctly.

I have dropdown on infopath form , and it receives data from sql server table ,  it works fine when i am running in preview mode , but when i am publishing form to sharepoint server and loading that form
    i am getting this
You do not have permissions to access a database that contains data required for this form to function correctly.
    Can you please help?
    Thanks,

try this one, if not yet
Convert the data connection to UDC (store it in a Data Connection Library within the same site collection as the form library).  See if this works without any other changes, but if not, then...
Manually edit your UDC file in Notepad (or your preferred editor) so that the authentication line is not commented out and so that it references the name of the SSO target app you created.
    For Type, use NTLM.
Ensure the user has rights to access the database
Also ensure the connection file has been approved - A sharepoint admin can access a non approved Ucdx file. Go to the connection library and approve the file
Also check this post having the similar issue:

I have set up two users, one for myself and one for children.  The computer automatically logs in for the children with no password required.  When the children go to spotlight and type in a search criteria all of my files show and open up.  How do I prevent this?

Log in to your account, and move all your files to your home folder. No other users should be able to access them there and they won't show up with a Spotlight search.
Make sure your kids' account(s) do not have admin privileges.

    I) Whenver a different style1 comes in file...I have to create a Headernode for that in target file. Style1 can contain number of Style2 nodes with the same node. like
    Ex:
    i) Style1 -
    Style2a, Style2b, Style2c
    ii) Style1 ....... Style2aa, Style2ab.
For this above requirement, I have to create corresponding target nodes for Header ( Style1 ) and as well as for Child ( Style2)
for ex1: it should be one Header node in target and 3 corresponding child nodes
for ex2 : It should be One Header Node and 2 child nodes
For this requirement...can we use node functions....if it is...could you please help me.

    Hi,
You can do it by using node function as well as UDF also.
    1) If your sequence is sorted and always come in sorted order only e.g. 1st come only style1 node and child node and then come all nodes from style 2 then u can use node function.
    2) for parent node use collpse context then remove context.
    3) for child node 1st differntiat according to your condition and then use split by value(value change)
    4) If occurance of style1 node and style2 node is not fixed then you don't have any option you have to write UDF.
I think this will help you.
