Long List of Problems and no one will help!!!

I have had NOTHING but problems with this phone since the sales clerk talked me into buying it.  I've had it for a little over a year and a half.  It's had "Software" issues out the rear and it's been replaced and still has the very same issues.  YET I can't swap it out with another phone without paying through the nose for a new one.  Verizon sold me a phone that does not work completely.  Verizon keeps replacing it with the same phone and numerous Verizon employees keep telling me that this phone has MANY known issues, LOTS of complaints.  Yet I am still stuck with a phone that is barely useable.  I am so disgusted right now.
Here is just a SMALL sampling of issues with my phone and I am still being denied a new phone unless I want to pay $600. I have 4 weeks until I can "Upgrade"  and I still can't even get an early upgrade.  I have been VERY patient waiting for my "TWO YEARS" to be "UP" so I can upgrade without being robbed.  This in addition to suffering through the Black Berry Storm that SUCKED and was replaced 7 times in a year and a half period due to "Software issues"  I will admit, two of those replacements were my fault - one got wet and the other was stolen, but still, 5 replacements is not acceptable.  Then I went to buy my new phone (Glory day for me) then I get talked into this Fascinate and it's just as bad as the Storm was, if not worse.  I can't seem to win.  I have decided to go for an iPhone.
Here is my list of problems and NO one can fix them, no one can help, I get told that this is a known problem yet Verizon won't take care of their customers that got screwed by this phone.  I've been a loyal customer for 7 years. I love the actual cellular service, I rarely get dropped calls, which is why I stick with verizon, but I am seriously considering jumping ship, because even though I'm loyal, I buy my phones through them, I can't get support.
The SHORT LIST of problems that makes this phone 100% unacceptable:
1)  Can't text 3/4 of the time because a little grey box pops up in the text box and it won't accept anything I type into it.
2)  Have not been able to send picture emails for several months now - Verizon can't figure out why.  My husband misses out on a lot of pics of our kids, I like to text him fun pics of them doing things or when we are on vacation without him.
3) phone freezes up on a regular basis.  Several times a day.  I have to pull the battery out and reboot.
4)  Sometimes I can't answer the phone when it rings - the phone rings and when I slide the puzzle piece to answer the phone, it freezes and continues to ring long after the person has hung up and the only way to get it to stop ringing is to pull the battery out and reboot the whole thing.
5)  a LOT of times, people will call my phone and it won't ring - it goes straight to voicemail.  I have had people call me when they are sitting right next to me and it doesn't ring (and yes, I've checked the volume, it's on, the phone is on) sometimes though, it rings and I actually can answer it, but lately, it's becoming more and more of a problem being able to receive and actually be able to answer them
6)  I can't use Facebook.  It takes forever to actually get into FB and when I do, it only shows about 5 posts before it freezes.  A few weeks ago, I could post to FB but only here and there, now I can't post from FB from my phone at all.  I know that's likely due to the APP - but FB on this phone has always sucked.
7)  At home, even when I standing next to my wireless router, it says I have "Lost Signal", yet all of my other wireless devices work from 5400 square feet away, on the other side of the house, upstairs.  Even when I'm standing in the Verizon store, it says "Internet Connection Lost"  It is so frustrating.  I am a busy mom and I have 5 minuts to myself and I can't even check FB or browse on the internet and yes, I have checked, all of my connections are set up correctly.  My wireless is enabled on my phone.  But it still doesn't work.
8)  Email - it's constantly refreshing, even though I have it set to only refresh once and hour.  I think I even changed it to once a day.  Instead, that little "refresh wheel" spins constantly on my phone and while this little refresh wheel spins, I can't read email, I can't write email and I can't send email.  When it finally stops and I open an email and the try to respond and write back, that little refresh wheel starts spinning again and then I have to wait until i can get home to a real computer to actually read & Respond to email.
9)  Calendar inputs the wrong time.  I had a dentist appt at 9:30am.  I set it as 9:30am.  When I saved it, it changed it to 10:40am.  I went back into the calendar function to change it thinking I had input the wrong time, but no, when I went to edit it, my 9:30 time was set, I hit save again and saving it changed it to 10:40.  WTH?  I can't even rely on the calendar function.
10)  Two weeks ago, I woke up, looked at my clock, which I also rely on as an alarm clock.  The room was dark.  The clock said 5:30am.  But for some reason, it felt later.  Sure enough, I get up, check my husbands alarm clock, it's 7:30am.  I am so thankful I had a gut feeling and looked at another clock.  I did not change my time zone on my phone (in fact, I went looking for Time change stuff and I couldn't even find it.  Then two hours later, the phone went back to normal time all on it's own.
11)  Text messages occasionally pop up and it tells me it's from Jay Smith (Not real name) and when I open the actual text, it's from Sarah Jenkins (not real name)  WTH?  How am I supposed to rely on text if its confused itself?
12)  Phone shuts itself off all the time, several times a day.  All of a sudden I will hear the musical tone of my phone shutting down and then at some point, it will turn itself back on.  When I turn it back on, it resends out old text messages (See below)
13)  Text message randomly sends out old text messages to people that I sent text messages out to months ago.  So the people will text me back saying "WTHeck is this about?" and I look and it's an old text message I sent them a month or two ago.  It usually does this when the phone freezes, shuts itself down and restarts.  I have found out that IF I delete my text messages timely, then it won't resend out any old text messages, but I am not very good about deleting stuff and often times, text message contains some important information that I haven't yet had the time to copy down and save.  I shouldn't HAVE to delete my text messages so it doesn't randomly send out text messages to people.
14)  Often times, I will send out a text message and it will fail to send the message and I get a text message saying my text message has failed.
I could go on, but I think that will give sufficient evidence that this phone stinks and that Verizon should give people owning this phone a chance to get a new phone without raping their wallets.
Maybe someone here will listen?  Because no one at the store does...  I pay for Verizon service that I barely even get to use because my phone doesn't perform like the guy who sold it to me told me it would.
CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW????

About the only thing I can say is to keep going to Verizon, or calling customer service to get them to look at the issues. I talked to 1 rep that told me to dial either 4# symbols, or 4* symbols (Can't remember which it was) after I got the VM message but did not have the phone ring, so it would mark my account record and they could search and troubleshoot the issue.
As far as your upgrade, I think you have done the right thing so far, and that is signing up on this forum, that way you can look at the different phone forums and see what issues that people are having. Talking to people that have the phone is a great way to find out what the issues are. Verizon Sales reps will only sell you the latest and greatest, or if there is something that they are being told to push to get out of stock.
Going with an iPhone is ok, just make sure it is correct for you, because like you said earlier, once it is done, it is done and you are stuck with it for 2 years. I had a friend who made a knee-jerk reaction to a bad phone, and did the same thing. They regretted it after 6 months. I am not saying the iPhone will be bad for you, just make sure you do your homework.

I am trying to print redplum coupons and I can't, help.  I have updated java, adobe flash, and made sure my printer was set on default.  I am not sure what I am doing wrong.  I have contacted redplum and no one will help.

No Apple response???  Redplum/Valassis will not help either.  I searched, using the cups error message and though it is Unbuntu, same error so maybe useful...only problem: details would not display unless I join Unbuntu forum.  What a pain to do anything with my Mac or find any help.  I honestly regret buying this buggy OS.
Anyway, here is what I found, FYI:
    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=483415
As the old saying goes: when in doubt, consult the manual. The problem appears to be that I added the printer using the KDE Add Printer Wizard. It was automatically given a "socket" URI instead of an "lpd" one. When I:
    - altered the printer settings at http://localhost:631 (the CUPS admin page) as instructed in the manual for the printer, and
    - copied the PPD file into a second place on the hard drive (as instructed on ubunutuforums, see the link above)
    ..everything started working.
It's still slower than windows, but I can live with that
Probably a simple fix. Change the socket I.P. to match the printer I.P. like this:
socket://192.168.1.86:9100. The thing I'm concerned with using socket:// is that AFAIK the printer I.P. must not change. In my case I'm able to assign a static I.P. address to the printer but it's something to consider.
I found that the only thing I needed to do was change socket to lpd (and remove :9100 off the end as well). See Solving Ubuntu printer “broken pipe” problem (DocuPrint C525A) . BTW thanks for steering me in the right direction - very grateful.
Solving Ubuntu printer “broken pipe” problem (DocuPrint C525A)
    Posted on November 25, 2008
Are you having a problem with your printer under the latest versions of Ubuntu (perhaps it worked under an older version)? Are you able to print short documents, but not longer, or more graphics-intensive, documents? (e.g. the unfortunate people at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=625493). Do they sit there as Processing for ages and then switch to Held? If you have the same problem I had the solution I tried may work for you too. Firstly, check your cups error log:
    sudo gedit /var/log/cups/error_log
If you see anything like the following, the solution may be simple:
[Job 201] Unable to write print data: Broken pipe
    PID 13359 (/usr/lib/cups/backend/socket) stopped with status 1!
System > Administration > Printing and right click on your printer, selecting Properties. Settings > Device URI
If you see something like socket://your_printer_ip_address:9100 just change socket to lpd and remove the :9100 off the end. Then click on apply.
Apparently lpd is a more modern protocol which works with most printers whereas socket is more raw (and potentially faster but riskier in a network situation). Somewhere along the line, the default Ubuntu/Gnome setup for networked printers shifted from lpd to socket. Some primitive printers will have benefited whereas a larger number of more modern printers will have suffered.
Please correct me if I am wrong (which is highly possible) but the underlying problem could be that socket may make the printer wait a long time for a large file to be processed ready for printing. Some printers, such as the Fuji Xerox DocuPrint C525A, may drop the socket if things take too long to start coming through.
Changing timeout settings might work but lpd is better than socket so it is the preferred solution in any case.
If this works for you, please leave a comment to let others know (ideally with a description of the printer and Ubuntu version). Printer may be relevant if it doesn’t support the direct stream protocol properly. NB I may take a while to let your comment through because of the volume of spam. Sorry about that.
Finally, thanks to sphilli8 for the steer in the right direction at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=6245626.

You connect your iPhone to iTunes through the Sync Process...

  • Long list of problems I had, culminating in iPhone no longer powering on.

So, let me start off by saying, there is no Apple Store available save by taking a plane to another island.
Anyway, awhile back when I updated my phone to a new version (I don't remember which), a bunch of things started happening.
    1. No WiFi, it was grayed out, and inaccessible.
    2. Would not ring if someone called me while the phone was on standby, except sometimes if it was plugged in and charging.
    3. Calls would sporadically fail, and signal strength would alternate between full bars to none, to showing "No Service", and sometimes would show "No Sim". I could usually (not always) get service or signal strength back by toggling airplane mode on or off, but the only way to get rid of "No Sim" was to power it on and off.
    4. Clock would always show the wrong time. It would seemingly stick at say... 3:40.. even though it was 6:00, then suddenly before my eyes jump forward 2 hours to the right time or still a bit behind. This also caused the alarm functions to not work, because it would usually skip over the time it was supposed to go off.
    5. Error messages would occasionally flash on the screen, but disappear so quickly as to be nearly unreadable, sometimes saying "Please connect to iTunes" but it hadn't done that one in awhile.
    6. A general sluggishness at times, also weird delays on sounds or none at all. I.E. I'd take off standby (wouldn't make swish sound), start to type a text message, only there'd be no sound while typing, but then 30 seconds later it'd make the swish sound it normally makes as you take it off standby, and resume clicking when typing.
Restoring it through iTunes would not help at all.
Anyway, so today, I tried restoring it like 6 times in a row out of pure frustration, and it like got stuck in recovery mode while rebooting, and when iTunes was restarting it, it just turned off.
The iPhone will no longer turn on, even when plugging it in to my computer or to the outlet charger, no matter if I hold power or home button or both.
Update: I just got it to power on again, about an hour after I was last trying fruitlessly. I restored it again, so it's "working" albeit with the long list of problems above still.

If you regularly sync your iPhone, you won't lose ANY info when restoring.
iTunes creates and maintains a backup of your iPhone - which is updated if needed as the very first step during the sync process. The backup stores all your iPhone settings, SMS messages, notes created with the Notes application, recent calls, call favorites, visual voicemail messages, and photos captured by your iPhone - basically all data stored on your iPhone not included with the sync process.
Your iPhone has not died - not yet, but it has developed a problem which requires a Restore.
It isn't required to have an Apple Store near you. This can be handled over the phone by calling AppleCare (800) 694-7466, but I venture to say that AppleCare will try to troubleshoot the problem over the phone before having your iPhone picked up for inspection and testing, which will very likely include a Restore just as the error message provided indicates. You can do it now, which will probably resolve the problem, or wait and do it when calling AppleCare.

And is there any way to sync all my purchases and accounts to just have one... It is a bit stupid that you dont even get a list of something of what account you may of used, or some kind of hint, so you could log on to the right account. I am really stuck ...
    Please Advise......

You can't merge accounts. But you can check your purchase history:

" How can I figure out who's ipod it was from the internet? "
You cannot.  You can look at your purchase history and see more details.
"What is an email or phone number to contact a REAL person from Apple?"
There is no phone number and they cannot tell you either.  You can contact them if you like:

My IPod no longer shuffles songs within playlists that are clearly set to shuffle.  It is about 3/4 full so I thought of maybe compressing the files to get more space.  Do you think that is the problem and if that might help?

Storage space on the iPod would not affect shuffled playlists or playlist shuffling, though substantially full iPods may wind up skipping songs on larger playlists after a while, and require a restart.  As for compressing the files themselves, you can automatically re-encode files to a lower bitrate by checking the box on the summary page when your iPod is connected to your PC/Mac.
As for the shuffle problem, after restarting your iPod (hold the center button and Menu for a few seconds, until the Apple logo appears), make sure you're telling the iPod to shuffle the songs in a playlist by repeatedly clicking the center button until the Suffle Menu comes up, then scroll to the right to turn it on.  From that song forward, the playlists' contents should be shuffled every time the playlist ends, or is accessed from a new song.
Shuffle does sometimes turn itself off, I've found, so double-check the setting is still on.  Also, iPods shuffle by randomly assigning a playlist order for your songs, which is different from traditional shuffle (on, say, iTunes or Windows Media Player, where the new song is determined at random upon the current track ending.  The iPod only chooses a random order of songs when you shuffle, to conserve battery life and queue up songs coming up on the playlist in the event of a shock).

You need to find out who the carrier was in Switzerland and see if they will unlock the device. The carrier with the lock is the only one that can authorize the unlock. You may need to check with the original owner and see if they can get it unlocked by the carrier if you do not qualify.

The problem I have is that I can not see the folders I created on my Verizon email account, when I open it on my iPad. I have called Verizon & gone to the Apple store and neither had an answer except to say it was the other's problem.

  • Where do I send a long list of problems I have with non-functionality with the Lion OSX and new Safari for Lion.

In the past two weeks I have been documenting my Lion problems.
First, Arrows gone from finder windows; makes it difficult in comparing long lists of files in folder, or compare documents when reviewing line by line. This is obviously a change by people who do not compare long lists in windows comparing files between versions of projects ... the click to next screen is NOT equal to arrows.
Second, Finder Redreaw - doesn't. Move files to a fold, if there are a lot of files, they image of the files being moved remains in finder (see attached screen capture) until Finder is restarted and if COPY function is running. last files in Copy queue are not copied.
Screen capture 5 minutes after moving files to a folder - the selected file images are still in Finder after the move was completed.
Third, it is SLOW, particularly going to an "Attach file" in email, drawing the content of a folder to select an attachment is long enough for me to go to the kitchen, get a drink and come back. Just like the old days of OS7.
Fourth, shifting/recentering screen away from where I am working. Several programs, browsers, Adobe Photoshop/inDesign, and dear old Pages re center my screen - not to the center, but if I choose 30 of 70 images in a folder, it will shift … somewhere else in the folder instead of where I just clicked. If I am working on a document in inDesign or PhotoShop it will do the same - the cursor and screen drift elsewhere to find something it has been amused by. Sometimes it is a word, or a file, but often it is off the pastboard and on the etherial pasteboard on which the pages sit. Or if I'm zoomed in on an image, it moves to somewhere else.
I use a mouse and keyboard, both Apple wireless. I do not use a trackpad, but have a tablet/stylus I am afraid to put into the mix until this crap is stopped.
Fifth, SAVE AS… is gone. You must unlock, duplicate and edit the duplicate … and must rename it in Finder, or use EXPORT to save as the same format under a new name. SAVE AS… worked. Not broke, why fix it?
Personal Comment: The problems seem to be the triumph of coked up software engineers ooohing and aaahing over "Wouldn't it be cool if..."   Cool, if they were Microsoft, and required everyone change how they have worked on Macs for the past (almost) three decades. Triumph of brainstorming over functionality.
Sixth, I can't use Cocoa Booklet, but that really started in OSX 10.6 "Snow Leopard". Most of my X11/Cocoa programs stopped worked about that time. Apple is no longer supporting "open source"?
    But Wait! There's More...
Seventh, Tonight, trying to download a 1.7 gig archive onto a disk where 280 Gigs were supposedly free, it would not download because, according to the wonderful new Safari and the wonderful new Lion, there is not enough disk space to download a 1.7 gig file in a mere 280 Gigs of free space.
I might be able to move Snow Leopard onto the iMac, but my deciding factor was that Apple, in its wisdom, decided to make iBook Author unable to run under Snow Leopard. So moving to Snow Leopard means I have lost the ONLY benefit I get from the new computer and the new system.
    This really stinks.

  • A long list of complaints that no one at BT will a...

I was a customer of BT for about 2 years and before that had always had a BT landline in properties I lived within and never found any problems with their service until I came to moving house and then some very serious customer service problems started and my relationship quickly deteriorated. I would gratefully accept any advice or tips on how to resolve my problems of which a brief outline of them are below. At the end of October 2010 I moved house. At that time I cotacted BT to see if they could transfer my previous phone line to my new address. At this point in time the person that I contacted at BT told me that there had never been a bT line at my new address and I would have to pay the full price for a new installation – or if I took out BT’s broadband then the price would be half of the 127.99 original price. Being the best of a bad set of choices I went for the taking BT broadband and installation. We booked the appointment for the engineer to come out on a Tuesday afternoon 6/11/10 however on the Monday an email was received to let us know that the phone line has been fixed and there was no need for an engineer to call out. This we found very odd indeed, as we were told that there was no line ever going into this property. Concerned about this we rang BT to try and find out what was happening and how they possibly managed to install a phone line without gaining access to the property.. The person on the other end of the line insisted that the engineers fixed the line at the exchange, this at the time I disagreed strongly and kept the arrangement in place for the engineer to call out on the Tuesday. Tuesday morning came and another email came through and it stated that the issues had been resolved. This again was followed by a telephone call to argue with the call centre that the line can not have been fixed, they still insisted that it had, and to be honest by now I was starting to doubt myself. I got home and spoke to my partner who had taken the day off to wait for the engineer and we looked for a phone line that we were lead to believe by BT that was never in at this address. After a bit of searching we discovered that there was indeed a BT phone line going into the property however this wire was not connected. By now my patience was starting to wear thin, I’d be lied to consistently, first that I’d need to pay for an expensive installation, that an engineer would call out, that the line had been fixed (twice) and any time I rang I was being told a different story of what was happening or what had happened. I rang to let the engineering people know that the hadn’t been fixed, and they assured me that an engineer will call out and sort my problems on Wednesday. Wednesday came and no sign of an engineer came. As it got close to lunch time there still was no sign of an engineer, I gave BT a ring to see what was happening, the person on the other end of the phone then provided to tell me that the engineers wouldn’t be calling with us today as the system that is used to allocate the work to engineers was not updated properly and they could not call out with us today. That afternoon we contacted BT to speak to the cancellation department, we informed them of the situation and they were very helpful after they transferred us through to a member of staff in an English call centre that understood our complaints and frustration. The member of staff then informed us that we would not be charged for the installation of the phone line or any of the broadband. However a bill had already just gone out to us, but we should ignore this and the correct bill with the installation and cancellation charges taken off and as in lieu of the poor customer service received the cancellation charge from my previous address would also be removed, leaving us with just the calls we made at the previous address. We were told that this would be sent out 14 days after the date of cancellation. The bill arrived full of charges for installations and cancellations so we did as instructed and ignored this. Then a week or 2 later a reminder came which paniced us a bit, so we gave bt a call and again this was just a standard reminder and they are generated automatically so I should just ignore this as well and the new bill was going to posted out in a few days. On the Thursday after we had cancelled every service we had with BT a engineer called at our house just was we were preparing to go to work. As we had we had cancelled BT the day before and none could afford to take another day off to allow them access to the property we informed him that we did not require their services and they left. So we sat waiting for this amended bill for BT to come and a few days ago a bill came, however no amendments were made, in fact there was the entire previous bill with a late charge added in for good measure. Very confused and annoyed we tried to speak to someone form bt however the call centre worker either, couldn’t understand what we were saying, why we were not happy, or the systems bt use to check customer accounts is completely different from one call centre to another. He said that the matter is being transferred to the investigations department but to be honest I’m not a 100% confident that this will be done. I’m really not sure what to do any advice would be most welcome, I don’t really want to be paying 127.99 for an installation that never happened and then another 30.00 cancellation fee for a service I never received in the first place. I’m also not best pleased that they have also added in late fees for a bill that on 2 occasions I was advised to ignore.

    Hi alx845208,
    Welcome to the BTCare Forum.
Sounds like a right mess, sorry you've had to go through this. If you can email in your forum username and BT account details (this will be in the bills you received) I'll look into this and see what we can do to sort this out.
    Thanks,
    Stephanie

  • Once again, my bill is wrong by $200 and no one will do anything about it

I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for over 10 years. On Jan 8th I called to pay my bill. I noticed that my bill was significantly high than in the past. I called Customer Care and spoke to John. I explained that my bill was WAY higher than what it normally was. I told him my bill averaged around $80.00/ month for the last few YEARS, and that I didn't change any of my services so there was NO REASON that it should be $320.00. He checked out my bill, admitted (on a recording) that it was a clerical mistake made on November 31st (it would be applied to the bill I was calling about) and that I would be credited the difference He told me to wait a few days for the credit to be applied and then to call in and make a payment. I called Financial services to make arrangements to wait and pay my bill until the credit was applied to keep my account in good standing. After about a week I called to make a payment again, however the credit had not been applied so I called Customer Care. After a 45 minutes wait, they could not figure out what the problem was so they transferred me to Financial Services. It was then after an hour on the phone I was told that the credit of $200 that the Verizon representative told me I would receive due to THEIR ERROR was denied. Unfortunately, the Financial Services couldn't figure out why it was denied so they transferred me back to Customer Care where I spoke to a lady in which I IMMEDIATELY asked to speak to the supervisor. She told me what she could try and help me, I asked AGAIN to speak to the supervisor and she told me that she needed to try and help before she could transfer me. After hearing multiple excuses: I went over my minutes even though I used 128/450 minutes of my 450 limit, it was a clerical error, it was a Financial services error, she didn't know so I asked to speak to her supervisor. She transfer me (1 hour and 30 min. on the phone now) to another woman who told me my plan no longer exist (first time hearing this) and it was my fault for not checking me bill and my email (I have 120 days to dispute it). I then asked to speak to her supervisor, she told me he would say the same thing and that it was my fault for not checking my email to catch their error. So I asked her if she was saying that "because I didn't check my email, the company I trust stole $200 from me." I finally reached  her "supervisor", Pao. I asked for his last name and badge and identification number and he told me it would be in the "notes" on the account but couldn't give it to me. At this point I have been on the phone for 2 hours and my friend and I started recording the conversation because of the inconsistencies. Pao asked me in the most condescending way, "Do you even read your emails?" and let me know what I needed to take my phone back to Sam's Club. I asked why, he said it was purchased at a third part affiliate that they needed to take care of the problem and that they do not honor third part affiliates mistakes (now putting the blame on Sams Club. I asked them if they were trained by Verizon Wireless since they represent the, He said no they have a completely different system of training therefore I needed to take it back there and have the manager call Verizon to honor the credit. After all this I asked to speak to a supervisor he said he was the supervisor and that there was no one else I could talk to. I then asked to file a complaint and he told me he could not dot hat and that I needed to get online.

At the beginning, you said you had not made any changes to your account....then at the end, you mention  Sam's Club and a purchase made there.  A new phone purchase, especially with the new plan and payment options, can result in a substantial change to your account, and third party affiliates like Sam's Club are limited in  the options they can use when upgrading.
What may have happened is that the old plan you were on (which is no longer available) was changed to a current plan, since third party affiliates don't have the ability to see or activate old plans, only current plans.  The new plans have unlimited minutes, but not unlimited data. You didn't say what type of phone you purchased - was the overage a data overage or a minute overage?
You'll need to pull out the paperwork (or emails, or whatever you got when you made the purchase at Sam's Club) to see exactly what you signed up for  -  plan details - etc.

  • BACKBERRY PROBLEMS AND NO ONE AT VERIZON TO HELP?

How is this,   for four months  most of my contacts disappear overnight   when I wake up  the ones that were saved, multiply by 10   isn't that great?  I start with 900 contacts,   200 of my original contacts are left   and then those 200 contacts become 2000   isn't that great   then try calling Verizon,   after 45 minutes on hold, I get people who don't even own phones   no one can help   Also  about 10 times a day my phone jus shuts off    maybe I should get a new one,    I did   well not a new one but someone else"s broken one that has been recycled   isn't that great   and NO ONE AT VERIZON TO HELP

You won't get any (unpaid) help by calling BlackBerry directly. Your best bet for help is to sign up at a support forum like BlackBerryForums or CrackBerry. No carrier has adequate BlackBerry support. BlackBerrys have always been specialized devices and customer support at carriers seems to view BlackBerrys as voodoo. This has always been the case, but it's gotten even worse with BB10. When BlackBerry dropped BB10 on us they were desperate, having delayed it's release far too long. They were looking at BB10 as the thing that would save them and in their haste they pushed out an operating system that barely qualified as beta software. Add the usual poor level of customer support for the platform (that goes all the way back to OS4) to the unusually high number of  problems with BB10 and you get some mighty frustrated users.
The good news is that BB10.2 gets the operating system to a respectable level of performance and stability. Use Sachesi to download and install the Rogers version (information available on CrackBerry) or wait it out until Verizon releases 10.2.

  • I've placed two Edge oam files in to a dps doc and only one will work, can anyone help?

Hi, I've created one animation and tested it in dps and it works fine. I've repeated this and my second animation is fine also, but when I have them in the same doc only one will work.
Has anyone had this problem or know of any suggestions?
I'm using Edge CC and Indesign CC with the latest viewer release on my iPad.
    Thanks

Hi, yes I'm using the most up to date tools (v27). I've tried also setting the delays to various different increments, this doesn't make a difference.
Although this is an old post I wonder if it is the same issue - http://forums.adobe.com/message/5615731#5615731
