Looking for a font

I am trying to find the font Ambigail, its a script like font, Abigail comes up when I've looked but it's not right. Does anyone know where I can download it?

Instead of searching through all fonts (you may have multiple fonts for the same language), you can search in a list that has one font per language.
Font getFontForString(String string)
/* get complete list at http://ftp.ics.uci.edu/pub/ietf/http/related/iso639.txt */
   String lanugages[] = { ...."en","el".... };
   for(int i=0; i<lanugages.length; i++)
     String[] familynames = GraphicsEnvironment.getAvailableFontFamilyNames(new Locale("en"));
     if(familynames.length < 1)
       continue;
     Font font = new Font(familynames[0], FONT.PLAIN, 10);
     if(font.canDisplay(string))
        return font;
   return null;
}JTextPane doesn't support multiple font, so you can't use it.

  • How can I get Firefox to stop looking for uninstalled fonts?

    Running Firefox 3.6.16 on MacBook 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, OS X 10.6.7: Every time I quit and restart Firefox, it searches my iDisk and finds uninstalled fonts (some of which are actually installed--these are original font files I purchased stored there). What looks like an OS box pops up saying Firefox wants permission to use these uninstalled fonts (and even though I click don't ask again for Firefox, these boxes pop up on every restart). This does not happen on my desktop Mac. Short of deleting the files, how can I stop Firefox from searching for uninstalled fonts? Thanks,

    You can try this:
    Move all User fonts in Font Book to Computer fonts:
    # Launch Font Book (/Applications/Utilities/)
    # Open Font Book > Preferences
    # Deselect: "Automatic Font Activation"
    # Set the "Default Install Location" for fonts to Computer
    # Select all User fonts.
    # Move the selected User fonts to Computer fonts
    # Remove all duplicate fonts in Computer fonts

  • Looking for a font like...

    I've recently discovered this font and I really like it:
    It's drift (from Artwiz).
    But I need to use accents and other characters (like ¿) and drift doesn't support those (actually I think none of the Artwiz fonts are capable to do that that). Well, the thing is that I'm looking for a similar font with those characters included.
    Hope you can help me.
    (Waiting for Daisuke_Aramaki answer )

    Daisuke_Aramaki wrote:Take a look at screen from the sgi font package. Not sure about the accents, but since it's been around for ages it could render those. Lucida Typewriter is another one i can think of.
    Thanks a lot! I never heard about sgi-fonts before, screen works perfect and looks "cleaner" than drift, which is satisfactory for my eyes.
    I'm ashamed of myself.
    Google for the term 'pixel fonts'. Some specific fonts that come to mind are gohufont (search these here forums), progsole, and pragmata.
    Hope you find something suitable
    EDIT: Doing some research for you:

    Thank you, but actually i know and used before all those fonts except silkscreen and Pragmata.
    EDIT:
    Only one annoying thing so far:
    Matter of time...

    I've already tried with font from an image recognition services and also sites with step by step font identification. It's not a typical serif or sans-serif font, so no luck so far.

  • Looking for a specific photoshop font

    I'm looking for this font here: http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k229/ohgoddammit/photoshopfontcopy.jpg
    Thanks in advance!

    Wow. I was gonna say go to http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ too, but that's probably too small a source file for it. As John said, some of the users there may be able to help. Try Robert's suggestion as well.

  • Looking for a web font - advice please

    Hi, I know this isn't a DW question, but I'm hoping somebody might be able to guide me.
    I'm looking for a font (preferably on google fonts) that resembles Edwardian Script. If anybody knows off the top of their head a font that is similar, could you advise me please?
    Thanks.

    Most hobbyists and bloggers sites could probably fly under the radar with unlicensed fonts.  But commercial web sites could be in for a whole heap of litigation woes.  It's  not worth the risk for something so trivial.
    Please cite a case where a commercial website was sued for violating the fonts license?  In UK Harrods tried to sue a coffee shop for using Harrods fonts and they lost with heavy legal costs.  Fonts can never be patented and people are free to use whenever they can.
    Some bully boys will try anything but people have to stand for their rights.  I am currently in dispute with easy Jet because I have registered one website with name like easy XXXXX.  Now they tried to bully me for using the word easy and I challenged them to sue me.  Their solicitors wrote to me and intimidating me and I won the first round.  They are appealing and so the case continues.  The court has decided that I should not promote the website until the appeal is heard but in the meantime, I have notified easy jet the revenue I am losing because of this restrictions. The court is aware of this and if I win the case, I shall be entitled to millions of pounds in compensation due to lost revenues.

  • Looking for font "Indivisible"

    Hi
    I am looking for at font called Indivisible.
    Can anybody help me?
    I have been toold it´s a free font, but I am not sure

    Indivisible was a free monospaced font produced by the Process Type
    Foundry in 2002., with restricted re-distribution, so it doesn't
    appear even on legitimate free font sites.
    It doesn't appear on their site at all.
    You might try contacting them directly.
    [email protected]
    The font is similar in many respects to the more recent Zolan Mono
    BTN, but far from identical.

  • Looking for font similar to Anzeigen

    I'm looking for a font (free and legal of course!) that looks like Anzeigen.
    I'm addressing myself to people who know this font of course.
    I can't show a preview here.
    It kind of looks like Helv compressed.
    Thanks

  • Looking for BBS-ing fonts

    Hello!
    I'm looking for terminal fonts that can be used for BBS-ing, which means that can display ANSI art. I tried all the common terminal fonts, also those from the ms-fonts package from AUR, but none of them displays the BBS correctly. I tried to find the classic DOS font (Terminal.ttf, if I'm not mistaken), but all the open versions of that don't have the capability for ANSI art.
    For example, on PTT, the left image is how it is supposed to look like, but instead it looks like on the right ...
    Or, when I try to connect to Bryan Lunduke's nice little BBS, instead of the proper title image on the left, it get the messed up version on the right.
    So, does anyone know of any fonts who can do that?
    Thank you.

    Okay, I figured out what the problem is. It's not really the fonts, it's the encoding. Urxvt (and xterm as well, for that matter) seem to fail to load any fonts with the encoding required for ANSI art.
    If I call urxvt with the -fn flag or specify URxvt*font in .Xdefaults and want to use a font that ends in -ibm-cp437 or a vga font like vga11x19, I get either one of the following errors and urxvt reverts to the fallback font that does not support ANSI art.
    urxvt: vga11x19: cannot deduce encoding from font name property "", ignoring font.
    urxvt: -monotype-courier new-medium-r-normal--17-120-100-100-m-0-ibm-cp437: cannot deduce encoding from registry/encoding properties "ibm-cp437", ignoring font.
    urxvt: -monotype-courier new-medium-r-normal--17-120-100-100-m-0-ibm-cp437: cannot deduce encoding from font name property "ibm-cp437", ignoring font.
    Does anyone know how to fix this?

  • Installed Photoshop, Now Safari Looks Weird (small fonts, odd spacing)

    Hey everyone,
    I installed photoshop and now my safari pages look crazy. The font is different and smaller, everything seems slightly zoomed out, and changing setting in safari preferences hasn't changed anything.
    HELP!

    Hi Fortune317--Welcome to Apple Discussions!
    We're other Mac users here, asking questions and sharing solutions.
    Can you take a screenshot, upload it to a photo sharing site (Photobucket or Skitch, yfrog, etc.)
    and then post the URL for it here?
    You've got a font conflict. You could open up you Font Book application in the Applications folder, and look for that font via the samples.

  • Need HP Line printer Font 16.67/8.5 Roman-8 for Windows font.

    I am looking for a font that is currently in my HP 4Si Printer, PCL Font Source I, Font Number 50, sym Set Roman-8. The PCL Typeface List names the font as Line Printer, Scale 16.67/8.5, Font # 50. I am trying to print my forms to a virtual printer to convert the form into a compressed searchable PDF, but I need the Line Printer font to match my current font being printed through the PCL printer font. I tried several others fonts but the columns get all screwed up because the spacing and size are not the same. I will purchase the font if I could only find where to buy it. Any help will be appreciated. Printer: HP 4Si P/N : C2009A Serial : {Removed for privacy} Thanks, Rob
