I'm not sure if this the right forum for this question but here goes... I currently use Internet Explorer 5.2.2 on my new G-5 i-Mac. In order to use on-line banking with my bank, I need to upgrade Explorer to version 6.0 or later. Does any know if a Mac compatible of version is available for download... Thanks for any assistance...

Version 6.0 or later is a windows version. The last version of Internet Explorer for Mac was 5.2.3, but it is no longer available for download and is not supported by Microsoft.
Macintosh Web Browsers Present and Past, by Darrel E. Knutson will give you plenty of other browser choices.
I can personally endorse Firefox, but I have also heard many good comments regarding Opera and Camino.
Even though the bank does not list it, have you tried Safari?
You can also change the Safari User Agent with Safari Extender.

Not sure if you're aware, but there is also a Dictionary application (/Applications/Dictionary) included with OS X. As well as a dashboard widget.

Generally there is no such download. As long as you have your serial number, you may be able to get help from Adobe (they are not here in general). I am not sure if the CD is locked to a specific number. If not, you might be able to borrow a copy from a friend and reinstall with your number.

Firefox decided to update (no "Do you want to...") and has been "looking for download server " for 5 days! (MacBookPro OSX 10.6.5)

Using Firefox 4 beta. Opened Firefox for ikon on dock and a window opened with heading "Downloading Firrefox" and message "Connecting to the update server...". There is no problem with my internet connection using Safari.

Movie rentals that I downloaded onto iMac with Lion to do not show up on ATV 2 in menu for computers. Purchased movies show up just fine. What to do or look for?

I have an imac that is running lion and an Apple TV generation 2. I have rented a movie from itunes and it shows up on my imac in Itunes under a rental icon, and will play fine on my computer. However, it does not show up as choice to play on my apple tv. I have homesharing enabled and everything else works fine including purchased movies that are on my imac, but no where does it show rental movies.
What do I look for? What do I do to play the rental movie on my apple tv 2?

Answer to my own question:
Wait until the downloaded rental has completed its download to the imac. This took a long time for me, since it was part of several things that I was downloading at the same time.
Finally, it showed up on my apple tv. Interestingly, I was able to watch much of the movie on my iMac before the movie finished its download and was available to the ATV 2.

What country are you in ? Depending upon what country that you are in then you might be able to redownload them on your Mac's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the iTunes store homepage
If you're not in a country where TV programmes can be redownloaded then connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and use the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over from your iPad
