Looking to create effects with documents

I'm working on a video that uses a lot of documents. I already successfully edited in several documents and used various effects like motion, masks, image mattes etc...
Now my supervisor wants to add more since it turned out so well. I'm trying to avoid the same effects that I've already used, so I'm looking for ideas/links to see what else I can do.
The documents are basically jpegs, so I have a lot of control. Does anyone recommend a good site or link that I can visit to get more ideas on what to do with the documents?
I've used most of my tricks and I'm looking for a few new ones.

Others ideas to impart the origin of text on screen are
Shoot a pile of docs on a desk after someone dumps more on the pile, gaussian blur and overlay paraphrased excerpts.
Shoot someone thumbing through docs and repeat the above.
Shoot blank paper coming out of the photocopier and super the text onto it.
Have the actual doc with text highlighted on screen and scroll bigger versions of the text across the frame at varying sizes and transparency.
There are many variations on the theme . . . .

Creating effects with a logo..

I don't know if this can be done in Motion or not and some may say I would need AE or Shake but I thought I'd ask. Is there a way I could take my company logo and alter the look to make it into a globe and have it rotate? The last part I definitely know I can do in Motion but just not sure if I can somehow make it into a globe. My logo looks like a strip of film.

Short answer, yes.
Longer answer, the results are probably not going to be what you want or expect.
You can distort your image with a sphere filter but that only creates a 2D image that looks like a sphere. You can eve layer sphere filters and get an illusion of depth. If you can break out your logotypes individual characters, you can place them on a path that actually curves in 3D space. There are many ways to convey this illusion with Motion's abilities but modeling a true 3D primitive requires a true 3D application or a plugin for Motion.

Creating Effects with C++

Hey guys,
I don't know what to do anymore, maybe you can help me.
A few hours ago I downloaded "dev-C++" from bludshed.
Now I tried to load effects from the SDK into the programm, but I don't know how to set the preferences for the project. If there are tips in the SDK-help just post the page number. Just in case I didn't found them.
PS: If you know an other good and free compliler for c++ just let me know. The big problem is just to set up the project and export it as an effect.
EDIT: I'm running Windows, so XCode won't work.

Create single billing document by sales order with division 00 and delivery with division 01

Hello,
I have a task to config the SAP system that would be possible create single billing document with different divisions.
Scenario:
1 doc: Create Sales order (division 00 - services) -> Create Billing doc
2 doc: Create Sales order (division 01 - materials) -> Create Outbound delivery and Post good issue -> Create Billing doc.
Sales order 1 and sales order 2 have the same:
dates;
custumers;
Sold-to-party;
payment terms;
incoterms;
and others;
When I create VF01 with documents Sales order and Outbound delivery system splits in two different billing documents due to different divisions.
I read www.scn.sap.com forums and test it DV system.
I use and change settings in these transactions:
     VTFL
     VTFA
     VOFA
     VOFM
But it doesn't work.
Please give me feedback or give advices how to config in antoher way.

Creating a merge document in Pages 09

In trying to learn how Pages operates, I have been looking at creating a Merge document using my Contacts Book. So far so good.
I am trying to get a list of names and addresses so that a round robin can be created, but in selecting the necessary fields to use I find they are all in the American terminology! When creating an input into Contacts, it is showing the UK method, i.e County and Post Code etc. but not when I go to Inspector and try and insert the field. Is there a way of changing the standard field name in the drop down menu?

It would appear that that hasn't been customised.
Apple apparently doesn't have enough cash in its kitty to do a lot of this basic stuff.
e.g. Apple has a so called "Australian" dictionary in Pages, that doesn't recognise Anzac amongst a host of Australian words. Why? Because it is nothing but the British dictionary relabelled.
Microsoft on the other hand…
If you want to ensure it looks right in Pages you can use the word Postcode in the text, select it:
Inspector > Link > Merge > Choose > Contacts Book > click on the + > call it Postcode > Link it to Work/Home ZIP

Working with documents via BEx Analyzer not using the portal

Hello,
i read that we are able to create (work) with documents (comments) via
BEx Analyzer. When i want to add a comment how it is described in the
help we get connected to the portal. We dont want to use the portal for
that. Therefore we searched a way to skip the portal. We read that in
BW Versions before 7.0 the portal was not connected but since 7.0 we
have the portal connectivity, but it should also possible to not use
the portal and to access directly the BI Server. I searched for the
Customizing to do so but i could not find it where to switch to the old
logic.
And another question is when we use the Portal with the knowledge base . The documents are stored in the document framework (SKWF). Is it the same as the Datawarehousing Workbench --> documents. This storage we want to use.
Can anyone give me a hint?

We are also facing the same issue of when trying to create/access the documents from BEx analyzer it is connecting portal , we need to bypass portal and directly access the document browser in BW server.
In your thread you mentioned it is done. So can you please let me know how did you enable the old configuration?. It will be very much helpful to us.

Creating a new document with columns and printing effects

If you create a new document and set columns into it in the new document menu, and then subsequently create images, tables, text etc. in the document that are bigger than one column (that stretch for example across the entire page), will the part of the image that's in the gutter print and/or show up if it's saved as a PDF?

Reader doesn’t create pdf files. You can use Acrobat (ask in that forum) to create pdfs. You can subscribe to the Adobe PDF Pack which has a create pdf functionality (please ask in that forum), or you can use a third party utility such as ghostscript, cutepdf, or Microsoft’s own PDF creation capability. For third party pdf creation you will need to ask in a forum dedicated to that software as fellow users of Reader are unlikely to have the knowledge to help.

How to create a PDF document with page curls using Adobe CS 4?

My goal is to create a PDF document with page curls. I am using Adobe CS 4.
1.      The document was created in Adobe InDesign CS 4 where the page turn (curl) transition was applied.
2.      Then the document was exported to .swf.
3.     The .swf file was imported into   Adobe Acrobat Pro to create a PDF file with flip page or page curl transitions.
These are the problems.
1.      The background is not transparent.
2.      Page dimensions have to be increased at least an inch in width and length so that the full page can show
3.      The command and+   will not only increases the document's screen size. It increases the page margins.

PDF was never designed to support the Flash page curl effect (it didn't exist back then). Anything you try (and you've tried the standard hack) will look like a hack. Personally, I don't think the effort is worth it for an effect that's much overused.

BAPI to create a billing document with reference to delivery or sales order

Does anyone know any BAPI or function module that allows the creation of a billing document with reference to a sales order or to a delivery.
Maybe the BAPI_BILLINGDOC_CREATEFROMDATA may be used to create a billing document with reference to a sales document, but i'm looking for a solution where I only need to indicate the number of the reference sales order or the reference delivery and maybe some few data more without the need of transfer all the items and conditions information.

To create a billing document based on a delivery use BAPI_BILLINGDOC_CREATEMULTIPLE. In table BILLINGDATAIN insert one line with the following data:
REF_DOC = Delivery number
REF_DOC_CA = 'J'
If it runs fine, table SUCCESS will bring back useful data, like BILL_DOC (Billing document number).

Creating a pdf document with both single pages and spreads

Hi, i'm not sure if this is possible, but basically i'd like to set up a document which allows me view the first three pages as single sheets and the remainder of the document as a booklet. The reason for this is I'm sending a cover letter, CV and then a booklet via email to apply for a job, and the booklet i have created has graphics which run accross the spread. I was hoping to lay the document as such:
1. cover letter
2. CV
3. Booklet front cover
4-5. booklet spread
6-7. booklet spread
8-9. booklet spread
I'm not too familiar with how to set this up (or if this is possible), could anyone point me in the right direction?

@Dave Merchant - The pages are true spreads, I've had a go at attempting to define the page type by the master but i can't seem to get it to split the document so that the first three pages remain single. I had a go at trying to create an entire new document with the pages in in order, but not sure how to insert single pages and spreads combined within the document.
@Test Screen Name - Do you know how i would be able to create such a document within indesign? i've had a look for some answers in the documentation but havent come accross anything yet (im on CS5). I had a go at combining the documents as the booklet and the single pages, but when i change the view options in acrobat to two page the first pages becomes a cover and the second and third are next to each other.

Open standards WordprocessingML format is supports by Microsoft word. It is typical xml format of designing word document. But creating document with TOC,tables, different styles of paragraphs are complex. Using this format, i have created simple docs. I never tried with complex formats like TOC. The generating File should be in ".doc or .docx" format only.

Corrupt document gets created in document library with document template using createlistitem workflowaction in visual studio workflow for office 365 solution

My requirement is to create a document library associated to a custom content type with a document template associated. Also I need to create a document based on the template in this document library when a new item is created in another list by taking the
reference ID of that new Item , I need to create the document with the name appended by ID. I need to do all this deployment using WSP.

This works perfect for me.
However, there are few observations, when going to Document Library > Library Settings > Advanced Settings > Document Template section - doesnt shows the Edit template link. When tried to look at the value for the document template using view source
, it is giving me /Lists/MyDocsListInstance/Forms/template.dotx instead of the actual template file uploaded.
Ignoring the above observation, when I am trying to create a sandbox based workflow in visual studio to create document in document library when new item is created in another list, I provide the ContentTypeID as the ID associated with the document library
with template.
It creates the corrupt document at end of workflow.
I have tried using .docx instead of .dotx files for workflow as per solution provided in some of the post but it isnt resolving my issue.
Any help is much appreciated.

OK, I am going to throw out a lot of ideas here so hopefully they get you closer to a diagnosis. Hang on :)
Does it happen to work for some users but not others? If so, try logging in on the "good" computer with the "bad" username. This will tell you if the problem is related to the end-user's system. Also, once the user downloads a document
successfully can they open and work on it in Word? Also, does the document library have any custom content types associated with it or does it just use 'Document'?
I notice that there are other folks on the web that have run into this same problem and the similarity seems to be that they are either on SharePoint 2007 or have upgraded from 2007. Did this doc library start out as a 2007 library?
What you might want to do is this: Make a site collection from scratch in 2013 (or find one that you know was created in 2013). Choose team site (or whatever you want) for the root web and set up the security the same way you have it on the malfunctioning
library. Now, use windows explorer to copy and paste some of the documents to the new location. Be sure you recreate any needed content types. Now test it from the troubled user's computer.
I'm thinking there may be something that is different about the library since it was migrated through various versions and updates since 2007. I've sometimes found that there can be problems (especially with user profiles but that's a different story) with
things that go through this evolution.

Hi maddy,
I want to save the document to MyDocuments folder, I tried to look in IDocFileHandler but I can not get a function which takes path/name as input with docRef.
Can u suggest how can my document to disk?
I dont want user to enter any detail, the document just created should get saved on Disk with the use of some commands only.
