Looking to create first and last page for slideshow

Hi,
I want to create a first page that has "Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary to Bill and Judy". I also want to create a trailer page with a message typed from their children. How can I best create these two pages. I will take the photo album, create a slideshow from it and then export it to idvd.
Thanks for help. Are there templates I can use/look at for the imac where I can create these pages?

I would post what I have tried so far but I have been trying many different types of queries over the last few days. In short I need the employees first and last reads for each date. They could have many entries per date or just 1. I am certain that this
is a trivial thing for a SQL expert but not trivial for me :).

This is almost what I need. The LocationGUID has to be included in the output. When I include it, I have to put it in the Group By clause. When I do that the reads are based on the LocationGUID (see below).

Thanks for your early update...but my requirement here is
I have two pages (FIRST , NEXT ) First is having Header, Main and Footer
NEXT is having Main and Footer ..I am printing PO here..let us think that my PO is having 20lines items , let us assume that it takes five pages...
Now how application is printing is ..first set of data is printing in FIRST page and remainiang data distributed to 4 pages printing in NEXT page ..but what my requirement is , I need fifth page print on FIRST page, instead of NEXT page... Ultimately I need last set of data always print in FIRST ie out of 5 pages 1st print on FIRST 2nd 3rd 4th print on NEXT and 5th print again on FIRST .

IDCS3 Print Booklet - Image across first and last page

Does anyone know how I could place an image to be wrapped around the cover of a booklet? No problem on inside pages because they show as two page spreads but the first and last pages don't display as a two page spread.

Place it on the cover and stretch it out across what would be the back
cover if it were there.
Copy to clipboard and scroll to the last page. Edit>copy in place. Crop
to fit on back cover and front cover.

Problem regarding printing in first and last page of a form

I need to print a some text only in the first page and last page. I have defined a window to print this text. The number of pages that will be created is decided on run time. Can some body please help regarding this issue. I have tried to use SFSY-FORMPAGES to calculate total number of pages in the begining but it does not work

Hi Badhra,
You can use conditions for that window or text element.
in conditions, tick 'only befor main window' forr header
and 'ONly after main window ' for footer.

I think it's a bit more complicated than that
First you would need to loook up person number (PERSNUMBER) via USER-ID in ADRP and then look for full name in USR21 via this person number.
So solution to your problem might look something like:
SELECT SINGLE adrp~name_text INTO name_text
FROM usr21 JOIN adrp ON usr21~persnumber = adrp~persnumber AND
adrp~date_from = '00010101' AND
adrp~nation = ''
WHERE usr21~bname = usnam.
Where usnam ofcourse is USER-ID for which you want to find full name.

How to report header and footers on first and last page only

Hi
We are trying to create a report that has a one data header on the first page and another header on subsequent pages then the data body then a footer section on the last page only. If we only have one page of data it works fine but when we move to multiple pages the data body section does not expand to fill the gap and we are left with second header but then a gap before the data.
We have tried to use anchors but are realy stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated

First and last pages on the wrong side?

I've gone on to inDesign CS6 for the first time in a month or so and for some bizarre reason my pages are backwards..
as you can see in the image page '1' is on the right hand side, and should be on the left. anyone got any ideas - sorry if its something simple i'm only a beginner! thanks a lot!

Bought a Mac Mini. at 18 day's old it started to lock up and not function. Took it in and they wiped and reinstalled it. Well at 24 day's old it's been sitting in the box not being used. First and last Mac for me. But can I get something for the junk?

I have pulled it out of the box and put 2 Mac approved mem sticks in it to boost it to 8 Gigs mem and it still locks up and freazes.. So many people told me Mac was the way to go... 1500 dollers could have bought me a great pc laptop. Now I have a wirless mouse keyboard and a mac mini (aka Brick) that allowed me to donate money to a cause that is helping buildings and companies out side of the US. While I have junk.. It's still under warranty and I reinstalled the os after the new mem sticks. Again.. locks up and does nothing. What can I do with this? Toss it in the trash? Any info on what I might do with it.. Please help!

If your Mini is anything less than six months old it would be running Lion, not 10.6.1, nor would it have been necessary to "reinstall the OS". Any help that anyone can provide is predicated on your system configuration so it's important.
If you are running Lion then boot your Mini while holding the D key. This will load Apple Hardware Test which will enable you to test your memory. "Mac approved" memory is sort of vague, and even memory that is allegedly designed to meet your Mini's specification may fail. There few reputable memory vendors.
"Apple installed" memory is more meaningful, and indicates Apple has tested it and guarantees its function. Otherwise all bets are off with a claim of "Mac approved". You will have to verify that yourself with Apple Hardware Test.
If your Mini was running, or ever ran OS 10.6.1 for that matter, it is close to three years old.
You must clear up these uncertainties before anyone can help.

I came up with since work policies do not allow me to share it. Also, I tried with windowing functions such as rank()and row_number() but my user does not have enough privileges to do so.
Any help or hints will be greatly appreciated.

Due to the fact that Oracle does not record the rows in any particular order, it would be wrong that the "first date" would be the first row processed by the query.
Therefore you would have to supply some other column if you do not want to consider the table as ordered by date.
Also, any analytical functions will need you to supply the "order by" and if its the date, then just a simple query will do:

IPhoto 11 Book 1st and last page errors

When previewing my completed book, the 1st and last page have white lines going through them.
How can i fix this so I can buy it.

Boot into Safe Mode and preview the book. If the first and last page photos are OK order the book from the Safe Mode. It's a problem others are having and worked around it with the Safe Mode boot.

I am trying to create a document that is similar to a dictionary or an index of information.
I want the first and last word on each page to be displayed automatically at the top corner and bottom corner of each page, to make navigation in the document easier.
Is there a way to do this in InDesign?
(If it is not done automatically, then if there is any shift in the lines, everything will be off, so i would Iike to find a way to do this.)

Different Footer on First page and last pages

I am trying to display Continue on first page and middle pages and Total Amount on last page on a multipage PO. I can display different footer page for first page and last page but the middle pages don't have a footer. How to do this if possible. There are so many threads here but not one gives the exact steps.
