I think the best idea is to contact the book publishers, let them know that Adobe Digital Editions is not capable of delivering their book to you, and ask in what other, more reliable formats they can provide it.

Can I make a photo web site that works like these forums?

Is is possible to make a web site using Lightroom that has smaller images that you can click on that would expand the image like it works here to show a larger image?

I'm pretty well versed in Dreamweaver and XHTML, enough to know that there are 'behaviors' that can be enlisted in Dreamweaver to produce various 'effects' with menus. I wasn't sure, as I have never seen, if there is a 'behavior' that can be brought in to Dreamweaver to make images behave like this.
Okay, that I now know it's not going to be something that is a part of Lightroom's capablities, I think I'll jump over to the Dreamweaver site and explore what they have to say on this.

Nope, hopefully we'll get some kind of explanation about what happened but I'm not really holding my breath.

Looks like I gotta buy lightroom

I have the Panasonic GH1 an would like to start shooting in raw, but Aperture doesn't support the GH1. After looking through these forums it looks like a lot of people are frustrated with Apple's failure to support many popular cameras, like Panasonic's and the slow pace of adding new camera's, like the Canon 7D. What's really odd is Apple's own Aperture video tutorials recommend shooting in RAW.

I do prefer Aperture to LR and I might even put up with the extra step of converting my Panasonic GH1 raw files to DNG. Adobe DNG Converter.app creates and unusual DNG file when using GH1 raw files as the source, these unusual DNG files are not compatible with Aperture. The Panasonic G1 (similar to the GH1, but lacks video) was released over a year ago and that camera is still unsupported by Aperture. I have little hope that an update in the near future will include support for the GH1 which was released only a few months ago.

In FINDER, the IMAGES section of 'All My FIles', what is: myDocuments.cannedSearch? Looks like images of jpegs & PDFs I viewed, even if I had deleted it.

I previously posted a similar question, but I was not clear in my message. I know that files (categorized as PDF Documents, Movies, Presentations, Spreadsheets, etc.) in "all my files' in the FINDER are all my files and if I delete them, I am deleting the original copies. However, the IMAGES category has thousands of images of PDF and jpeg files, even ones I had deleted. I do not have thousands of pics or pdf documents. It looks like these images are files I had opened, even if I deleted the files. I want to clean up files on MAC. Any suggestions? See info below regarding IMAGES category of ALL MY FILES. When I clic on INFO, it says it is a saved query.

I actually just noticed the "media" option is no longer listed along the left side of Finder. I think that is where I accessed iphoto and my other picture folder.
There is no media option in the Finder. That only turns up in Open... Dialogues like this:

I just downloaded the new 4.0 an now when I click on the tab it won't even load up, it'll look like the page will show up but then it won't an the it'll look like I never even clicked on it. What is going on? Why won't firefox work?

My firefox was working perfectly before when I had the 3.6 but now it just won't load up at ALL! I've dealt with it crashing on me while I was on the internet but I've never clicked on the tab OVER an OVER again an still not even having the home page show up on my screen. Its getting really frustrating and I now really wish I'd of just left my firefox the way it was. . .can you please help me??

Please do the following. 
#Use Internet Explorer 8 or 9 and go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0.1] Do not choose "Run" when you see the prompt, but instead choose "Save" and save the file to your desktop. 
#Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box). 
#Then reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 
#Finally run the installation file you downloaded to the desktop earlier. 
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation.

Why it's like that I don't think that Apple have said (these are user-to-user forums). If you haven't downloaded it on your iPad then have you checked to see if you can download it on your computer's iTunes (Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option) or Apple TV ?
If it doesn't show on either of them then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will let you download it on a different computer/device or refund or credit you : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

I've tried resetting my phone, looking for the pics in the new 'deleted' folder. I tried forwarding the jpegs to sees if they'll appear in a new message (but turnout the phone won't let me forward these pics). Apple is trying to say it's the 30 day reason, but I know that is not the problem. ALl of my pics older than 30 days were viewable. It is the upgrade that screwed this up. Help! Important pics!

As for iPhoto, it sounds like you were trying to move files around in the library. That is a bib no-no in Aperture or iPhoto.

The font on these forums looks terrible

The font on these forums and many other parts of the Adobe.com site look terrible on my computer. This is on Windows XP, and I tried it on all the big browsers, and they all look like this:

I think that I have all settings correct. I am using for the Security tab, and Internet, the Default setting. I double checked, and when I press the Custom level... button, under Scripting, Active Scripting is Enabled. Also, other sites that require
Javascript, are working normally. Like GMail for example, or another Windows site, that has the same:

I agree with ThrashZone, delete the temp files as well as some browser history, cookies, form data, Internet Options\General\Delete...
Reset IE if possible if the above doesn't work.
Sometimes, too much traffic on your internet connection can also cause this kind issue when loading the website

Ok so you want Apple to address the problem, but yet you don't want to take it to them just in case they can't fix it? What if they can fix it? Complaining here certainly won't fix it.
