Losing connection to enterprise when I sync or tether
Hi,
Have a curve and I tether for my internet. I notice when I tether that I lose my connection to my enterprise server at work. I then have to contact our support people and have a new password activated. This has happened 3 times this week, very frustrating. I love the phone, but I need a phone I can tether. Is my company doing this with the enterprise server? Any help would be very appreciated.

Periodically losing connection to Internet when online
I have a G4 laptop and just about everytime I'm online my computer "appears" to stop talking to the internet. I have a Cable Modem and that I am connected through ethernet. I can be on line and when I switch to a new web page, it will just sit there (perhaps beginning the load, but never finishing). I can get the connection to reset by unplugging the Ethernet cable and putting it back in. My brother has a G4 laptop and has not had any problem (using my modem and the ethernet cable), which leads me to believe it's my computer.
Any suggestions?I'm assuming you're using PPPoE to connect to the Internet. You might want to check your PPPoE Options from the PPPoE section for Built-In Ethernet in the Network pane in System Preferences. There are options to connect automatically and to disconnect if idle.

WRE54G losing connection to either router or PCI?
I have a WRT54GS V6 router, a WMP54GS pci card and now a WRE54G V3 Expander all with latest firmare. Router is downstairs and coverage is fine for most of upstairs but my bedroom is about 20 feet down a hallway and signal is low (and sometimes non-existent) in this bedroom.
Have set the expander up properly following the many links on this support forum and when I first plug it in, everything is fine. Blue lights on, my bedroom PC says "excellent" signal with 54mbps speed and internet works great. After about 10 minutes though I can't access any websites or connect to expander through browser. All of this time, the lights are still blue and my PC still has 5 bars and excellent signal strength. If I try repairing connection, it will connect again with a low signal and not allow me to access expander settings so I'm assuming it's bypassing expander and connecting to router rather than expander. The only way to connect again to expander is to power it down and on again and I'm then back to a great signal for 10 minutes.
Things I've tried after searching the forum:
- tried different channels
- assigned new IP address to expander
- enabled mac filtering on router to stop PC from bypassing expander and
reconnecting to router. In this case, same problem but then can't repair/connect to router and must restart expander to connect to it.
- tried setting a different SSID on expander and setting PC to connect to only that one.
- turned off power saving mode in settings of my PCI card (via device manager)
- moving expander to different places. If I place it at top of stairs, the signal in my bedroom is not great. If I place it in my bedroom next to computer, signal is great. Either way though, the same problem happens after 10 minutes or so.
Aside from resetting the expander and following all of the the setup instructions again (which I've done about 5 times now), is there anything else I can do?

Thanks for reply. No, I'm not losing connection to internet when I'm not using the repeater. It's only when I add the repeater to the mix do I lose the internet connection along with connection to the repeater.
Called Linksys today and they first advised me to re-flash the firmware even though it had the latest version. No change. They then told me to try to wall power plate rather than the AC wire connection. Not sure what that has to do with it but will try it.
I bought this unit a few weeks ago via Amazon for $35 as a refurbished unit. I'm starting to think I just got a lemon. Unfortunately, the actual seller was Amazon but some other reseller that doesn't accept returns on refurbished units.
I will try WEP but to be honest, I really don't want the unit if it doesn't support WPA as it's supposed to. And yes, I have assigned a static IP and gateway. I also tried changing the computers gateway to the IP address of the repeater (read that suggestion somewhere) but again, no luck. -
If I have never connected my iPad to my computer, will I lose events in iCal when I sync things?
Since you have never plugged the iPad into your computer's iTunes yet - you are syncing to a "new" computer so .... Yes you will lose the music if you sync it with iTunes before making this your syncing computer.
But ..... You can transfer all of the iPad content into iTunes and that will make the iTunes library your new syncing library. Just follow all of the steps in this user tip and you will be OK. Then you will be able sync without losing anything.

I am losing a hard drive on an old computer so I performed a sync of all music from the old computer to my ipod nano. Now when I sync my ipod nano to my new computer/Itunes all music will not upload to new computer/software. What am I doing wrong?
I’ve never needed to do that and am fairly new to using itunes but try doing this. Go to, “Store,” in the itunes menu and select, “Authorize this computer.” Enter apple id and see if that works. I heard that method is used to transfer purchased media to a new computer but I don’t know if it works for regular stored media. Please let me know if that works.

I deleted some podcasts when I synced with itunes on my computer. They no longer show up on the itunes sync when connected, but are still present on my ipod. How do I delete them from my ipod?
Try swiping your finger across the podcast then tap Delete.

hi, when i connect my iphone to my pc, itunes no longer recognises that a device is connected and therefore unable to sync, etc. anyone have any idea!

I want to delete a few contacts, apps, pics etc from my iphone, but when I delete and connect to my laptop they sync and come back again. How can I delete those items and not get them back when I connect my iphone to my laptop?
Also where exactly on the laptop is teh data stored.

you'll see a pop-up and there's a tab called 'Devices' there. If you click that, you will be able to check a box that says 'prevent automatic syncing for iPods, iPads and iPhones' or something like that.

NB: if you don't even see the menu bar that has options like 'File, Edit, View, etc', first click the black/white square button on the top left of your screen, and then click 'show menu bar'. It should pop right up.

Why won't my ipod touch sync? It is all up to date and everything, and i know it is connected because when i plug it into my computer it charges, but it doesn't even show that it is connected so i can't sync all my new songs:(

Im am using Windows 7 ,I log onto to itunes and connect my Iphone.When my iphone tries to sync it gives an error message "itunes has stopped working" - this only happens when i connect my iphone and it tries to sync - help please

Make sure you are following these steps to delete the music from both your iPad and computer:
On the iPad:
Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:
Tap the Music app.
Tap the Songs category.
Swipe left to right over the song you want to delete.
Tap Delete.
On your computer:
Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:
Launch iTunes.
From the Library pop-up menu, choose Music.
Click Songs in the navigation bar.
Click the song you want to delete.
Press the Delete key on your keyboard.
In iTunes 11, the album cover art will remain visible, but a cloud icon will appear on it to allow you to download the item again (in countries that support this).
Note: If you didn't purchase a song from the iTunes Store, you won't be able to download it again for free from iTunes in the Cloud. You might want to back it up somewhere on your computer.

When I connect my Iphone 5 to sync with my Itunes on my PC I get a message- This Iphone cannot be used because required software is not installed. Run Itunes installer to remove itunes then install itunes again.
After uninstalling and reinstalling Itunes- issue was fixed. Thanks!

my problem is that since I update my iphone 4s ios 8 and then restore it and when I connect to itunes does not sync my music only applications
I had a similar issue and I was told that my iTunes match was on.
I had to disable iTunes match on my iPhone.
Following which - after you plugged in your iPhone to iTunes, select your iPhone on iTunes menu. You should see a summary page of your iPhone where it provides options to update or restore. On the bottom there should be an option to select "sync only selected music/playlists". I can't remember the exact wording. Once that's been checked, select your iPhone's music tab and it should allow you to select the music playlists you want to sync. -

I use firefox for e-mail and am unsure how to close a message without losing the connection to firefox. Then I need to go through the tedious task of entering my username and password everytime I am finished reading the message and close it. How can I close the message without losing connection to firefox? Also, when I select "save my password" at the sign in page it never saves the information. Why not?

You could always get a Gmail account(free), set that up as IMAP or Exchange, then forward all of the mail from your POP account to your Gmail account.

Nano syncronisation with Ourlook calendar
