Losing decimal entirely when formatting as currency

Using the following code:
NumberFormat currencyFormat = NumberFormat.getCurrencyInstance();
Double dblAmount = new Double(stringAmount);
String fmtAmount = currencyFormat.format(dblAmount);The resulting display amount sometimes shows up without its decimal, e.g. $50.00 shows as $5000.
Any ideas as to why this happens? TIA.

IN XMLP report there is a parameter p_min_value which accepts Number(15,2) values.
The issue faced is that value of p_min_value is not getting passed to the

Hi, Thanks for pointing it out. So I tried to use HTML insintead. So I entered the following custom text instead:
@[html]"Task Details"
This is on the Activity ID column.
WHen I run the report, there are still problem.
1) Somehow the Activity ID columns shows literally 'Task Detail' in every row (instead of activity ID)
2) I click the link. This time it goes go to the Task Detail screen, but gives me error like "Record not found".
Do you know what I did wrong?

Formatting a currency field

I have a currency formatted field that completes a calculation. Is there a way to format a field so that if the answer is $0.00, that it will not show and print?

The only way I could get it to take the validation is to type the following: if(+event.value==0)event.value="";
But when I put that in my field - it still prints $0.00. Is it because my formula is not addition but multiplying two fields?
You mentioned that I may have to change some field values first? The two fields that my original formula is figuring are formatted for a number and the second field is formatted for currency. So the total is in a field formatted for numbers - with a $ sign and a space before the number. I have about 30 lines figured for this, but even when I have no entry in either one of the fields, I still get a $0.00. I really do not want anything to show up unless there is an entry in that field.

You can't unless you have a current backup of your old Lion system because the first thing you must do is erase the drive. It 's possible to use Target Disk Mode between your iMac and the MBP in order to clone the MBP to the iMac. However, that will still erase everything on the iMac's drive.
Or you could see about getting Yosemite to work correctly. If you have IMAP mail, then your mail should be intact.
Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
    b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.

Unfortunately, the uncertainty arising from the rounding has been up several times here in this forum.
I just came to remember a warning that needs to be given:
The rounding of the representation of a numerical value may be harmless in itself, but if you use it for any operation that changes the value, such as multiplication or whatever, things will go wrong because the operation will be made on the basis of the rounded value instead of the true value. So, as in your first case in post #2, 39.625 rounded to 39.63 will become 79.26 instead of 79.25.

the quotient function returns only whole number portion of the dividing two numbers. If you want the actual decimal value use the divide operator. you enter this as:
A/B
if the numerator is in A1 and the denominator is in B1 you can enter the formula like this:
=A1/B1

Adobe Premiere CC 2014.2: losing rendered files when using warp stabilizer

Hi,
I am constantly losing rendered files when using the warp stabilizer. So far I have tried about every hint I could find on the web such as cleaning the cache, rebuilding the rendered files, creating additional sequences etc etc.
Honestly I am getting tired of using a product that isnt cheap in the first place to rent and where a bug like this apparently persists over several product versions without being fully fixed (I have had this problem throughout 2014 but according to forum postings others seem to have problems with much earlier versions as well).
I would be really grateful if somebofy has any suggestion how this can be addressed.
I am also happy to help testing fixes - if there are any fixes available.

Welcome to the Adobe forums.
Please try the steps mentioned below and check if it works for you.
1. Launch Premiere Pro and create a Project, go to File menu>Project Settings>Renderer and change the Renderer to Software only mode, delete previews if you get a prompt and then try to import the clip.
2. If step 1 fails or the Renderer is already on Software only mode, go to Start Menu and search for Device Manager, go into Display Adapters and Right click on the Graphics card to select Update driver software option, on the next screen choose "Browse my computer for driver software", then choose "Let me Pick from a list..." option and from the list select "Standard VGA Graphics adapters. You might need to change the screen resolution of your screen and once done restart the machine again.
Launch Premiere Pro and import the clip to check.

Vast Apple Conspiracy! (iPod Not Working When Formatted for Windows)

Alright, I know this isn't the place to make the claim of an Apple conspiracy, but as a mac user who proudly has an apple sticker on his car who has experienced the events below first hand - I feel there is only one explanation one can come to.
VAST APPLE CONSPIRACY!
Alright, my friend has a 30GB 5G iPod and runs windows. I own a MacBook that has OSX 10.4.7 and Windows. He has had problems in the past with his computer, but never with his iPod until the 1.2 update rolled out with iTunes 7. Now after one move of the cursor or change of menu the screen turns into a bunch of pixels reminiscent of a television set to static. Only it makes no noise and never moves, it just sits with the backlight on until it dies, or until you hold the menu and center buttons, then it restarts and does the same thing.
So being the good nerdy friend that I am I offer to take it home and reformat it on my Mac then on Windows to see if maybe that helps (thinking something is up with his computer again). It starts out promising enough, because I was able to reformat it for Macintosh load on music, videos and games play them all and shut it down properly.
So I switch to Windows XP and reformat it for Windows in iTunes 7 and the same problem starts up again!
Now aside from a vast Apple conspiracy, does anyone have any suggestions, perhaps others are experiencing this problem? Keep in mind the iPod worked fine when formatted for Mac and it is highly unlikely two Windows computers have the exact same flaw (especially on mine that goes almost unused and has virus and spyware protection).

the APPLE software is less than a month old. I am sure it was tested extensively on APPLE computers before release. Due to apple's configurations there are only a few systems it had to be tested on.
Now on windows... how many of thousands of geeks out there build their own machines with different graphics, audio, usb pci cards etc etc... Impossible for apple to test it out as extensively on win xp...
I imagine in 2 - 3 months we will have itunes 7.0.2 or 7.0.3 that addresses many of the issues windows users are having. That's how it was with itunes 6, this is not a new phenomenon by any means.

GL Balance not showing in F.01,,when choose group currency 30

Hi gurus,
When we run the report : F.01 (Balance Sheet / P&L Statement) with Currency type: 10 (Company Code Currency - INR) report is showing all GL balances.
But if we run the same report: selecting Currency Type 30 (Group Currency-USD) no GL Account balance is not updating in the report F.01.
Can you please let me know what will be the problem ?

It is not related to foreign currency gain/loss a/c.My users when he runs Trial Bal through F.01,he use "Currency type 30 and found no GL balance is coming.But when he uses Currency type 10 then all balances are coming.

Conversion decimal to exponential format

     I have a small requirement in PM module. In IK11 tcode we r giving the measurement point reading in decimal point.But in database table it will store in exponential format.
For example. If we will give measuremetn point reading - 55.0 (in measurement point category temperature). But it will save in database table like 3.4814999999999998E+02.But i dont know which function module will use to convert decimal to exponential format.Please tel me which function module will use......

Disk Utility fails when formatting a drive

Hi, I have been having problem with Disk Utility when formatting a drive. Every time I format a drive, regarding of what volume format I choose, it will start the format and then fail shortly after.
The drives are then no longer mountable and Disk Utility will not be able to see the drive any more.
Can some one tell me why this is failing? I have only ever experienced this problem on my Mac Pro.

Thanks, The Hatter. Sorry I didn't include the internal drive information because so far, I have been using disk utility to format external drives and every time I tried to use it to format, it will fail (have not tried to format an internal drive as I only have one internal).

I have a Macbook pro 13" A1278. I purchased it around december 2010. I have a HHD 3.5" drive desktop select II 1.5TB. I purchased it around Febuary/March 2011 to use with my Macbook pro. I formatted it and moved all my files to there, I got it so my macbook's hard drive wouldn't brake and I lose everything on my macbook.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."

When I close the menu, the blue line goes away and there is no border.

I'm sorry for the intrusion on this thread. I had only made a simple comment, and then others responded. It was not my intention, especially since the original question was marked as answered. I will direct responses to any comments I make in fture postings that deviate from the OP's question to a newly created topic if I need a response, if not, I will just add a statement at the end of my comments to please not respond.
As to your diagram, it is the ability to select the non-contiguous cells, and then be able to simulataneously select a specific part of the border edge, and then be able to change them all at once that I was after. That is something that is not possible in Numbers. It seems that in your diagram the "before", was attained by selecting each cell one at a time, and changing its border edge, one at a time. Then, in the "after", selecting the non-contiguous cells and changing the "Stroke" settings for the lines was attained simultaneously since that is possible in Numbers.
If I am correct in how you attained the results in your diagram, that wasn't really what I was trying to achieve, since if the option were not grayed out, it would only select the same border edge on all selected cells. If I am incorrect, then I would like to have your input.
Once again, sorry for allowing my comment to develop as it did.

Does the new Numbers allow for formatting for currency?

I have just updated my computer to Yosemite and updated Numbers and Pages as well. Is there somewhere that I can format the cells to e.g. currency, as in the older versions?

On the View menu, Show Inspector. Then in Inspector (right side pane) click Cell at the top and then set Data Format to Currency.
