Moved to this house just over a year ago and it seems to be one thing after another with the line. Lost count of the amount of calls i`ve made to the faults department!
Latest carry on began when we returned home on wednesday 16th April after a few days away, the broadband light was orange and the phone line was crackling and had noise interference.
Called BT who arranged an engineer to come on Tuesday (22nd) he turned up and said as it was an intermiitent fault it could be hard to find. He went to check wires outside and said he would call me to check the line. However the next thing i knew was i got a text from BT saying my fault should be now fixed!
Within half an hour or that text coming through the internet went off again and the noise was still on the line.
Called BT AGAIN who said they would monitor the line for the next 24 - 48hrs.Another couple of hours later i thought so when is my line going to be fixed it they are just monitoring it ?? So i called again and I was told a "specialised" engineer was needed and a visit was booked for this morning, Friday 25th between 8am and 1pm.
So i waited in all morning for the engineer, stewing as each hour went past without anyone turning up. After 1pm i called BT again, the assistant contacted openreach control centre and called me back to say there had been a system error and the appointment hadnt been booked properly, I had recieved several text messages about the visit too!!!
Annoyed to say the least. I did blow my top - understandably ? She then went on to tell me that it had already been passed onto a case manager who would be calling me back tomorrow and discuss and rearrange an engineer appointment !! Why couldnt she go ahead and book it is my question ? Waiting another day means it will be another day later when the engineer visit is!
I work from home and need internet access, the last couple of days you'll be lucky if i have had 2hrs in the day when the internet has been on.
Why do i feel as if i`m fighting a losing battle ????????
Please can anyone help me.

As you are on a residential service you have to wait for engineer availability priority is given to Business users as they get a different service level agreement also using a residential line for business use can leave you open for suspension or cancellation of service as it breach's the terms and conditions

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for the original owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. No must contact the original owner to get permission to use the device. Are you sure the "friend" who sold you this iPad was the primal owner? If you cannot contact the original owner return the device to "your friend" and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

Having finally managed to update itunes to the current version in order to sort the lock screen of itunes ;logo and usb lead, i find that i dont have on the left side of itunes lists, the DEVICES heading for me to click on in order to back up/restore etc..... How do i access this..? I seem to be going around in circles and getting nowhere fast.
Is there any logical reason why the "devices" catogory wouldnt be showing..? or is there any way i can proceed manually without access to this...? HELP..... PLEASE.. THANKS...... -

I didn't do any kind of backup other than my usal sync with itunes. What do I have to do to get itunes to sync everything back like the old one? I was planning for a repair not a replacement. I'm afraid to plug the new one in to my pc until I know what I need to do.

You need to take your phone to an Apple Store in the US. You can purchase an Out of Warranty replacement if the phone is damaged. Cost is $269+ tax.
You cannot upgrade to a 5S at an Apple store; at best, you can turn in your current phone to get a gift card towards the purchase of another.

What do I have to do to get better latency
I'm using a Presonus Firebox with LS9.1.1 on an iMac Intel Core Duo @ 5.66GHz.
The lowest that I can get my I/O Buffer Size is 64 Samples.
24 bit recording.
Small Process Buffer Range.
Software Monitoring is on.
Latency compensation is on.
I could work at 64 samples but the latency when playing guitar and using software monitoring is a drag.
If I go down to 32 samples it gets all noisy and is unusable.
What do I have to do to get less latency on my system?
When I bought this iMac I thought it would be able to do the job.If the only reason why you want to use software monitoring is because you want to be able to use plug in effect and hear them live, then there's a better way to do this. You use the built in latency-free monitoring offered by you audio interface. Then, in Logic, you keep software monitoring on, but you mute the input channel in Logic (so you don't hear the direct input signal, which will have a weird, slapback delay because it will be a fraction later than your interface's built-in monitoring). Then, using sends and busses (not inserts), you can send you guitar (or vocals or whatever) to as many plug in effects as you like. This way you could even work with a buffer setting of 128 or 256 which will put far less strain on your computer. The only thing is that the fx return will have a slight predelay to it, but this isn't necessarily undesirable, in fact it's a valid sound that is often intentionally created in a mix. In any case, it doesn't matter as it's only monitoring fx, to give you a nice sound to vibe with as you play, and it can be far more inspiring to be able to record with nice rich effects in monitoring (even if they are slightly pre-delayed), than having to put up with very distracting latency in your cans just because your computer can't give you the low buffer setting you want to use.
Seriously, make use of the zero latency function of your audio hardware and just use software monitoring to give yourself a bit of an effects return to help put yourself in the mood for recording.. it's a good compromise. -
I open a file - playback - the audio is there - doesn't appear in timeline, but I hear it, after 1 edit, the audio disappears. I have to reboot to get it back then it happens again. All suggeswtions welcome. Thank you, Randy

is the frame rate really 29 frames per second?
If the properties that you just posted are representative of your source file, what project preset did you or the
project set for the project preset? If you are not sure, please tell us the readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size,
and Pixel Aspect Ratio under Edit Menu/Project Settings/General.
Still having problems - haven't been able to edit project.

What do I have to do to get WebHelp browser styles to match RH's style sheet?
In the PDF rendering, the styles conform to the .css styles, but the generated WebHelp in the browsers (Firefox and IE) does not.
I've check all the generated project's topic folders for the correct .css, and they're there. I also put a copy of the .css in the project's root folder as someone suggested, but that doesn't work.
I'm using RH 10, and I'm certainly no expert at it or HTML. Forgive me if I've done something stupid or not done something I should have.

No. Every style but on in the style sheet that I created is mapped correctly to the project. All style settings except margins and font appear correctly in the webHelp. Also, if generated as a PDF or as .chm help, ALL styles render correctly. They just don't appear correctly for WebHelp (haven't tried any of the other HTML-realated project formats.)
This appears to be a problem with the default font, which apparently cannot be changed in RH.
Unless there's some sort of work-around, it appears that my problem is that I didn't map the source FrameMaker "normal" font to a font style OTHER THAN the default style, and under a different name, when I imported the FM file. I made the unwarranted assumptions that the RH default font would be whatever was the default font in FM, and if it wasn't, I could change it.
I've looked all over the "communities" and Adobe help, but I can't find anywhere where the default font can be changed after a project is created.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
