Low level network info

I'm coding a cellular phone program. It needs low level network info, idealy it would be a CellID that it is connected to.
The main problem is to know if two phones ar in the same area without using location ('cos it is a relatively new api and here in argentina time will past until location phones are here ).
The simplest thing i imagine is to know the cellid where the phone is connected and match in a server what phones are in the same cellid. I was looking for a low level api or something to use AT commands in the phone but i can't find nothing.
If you know any way to acces that info or the AT commands please respond.
If you know other way to know if two phones are in the same area, please let my know.
When i say "same area", i mean like 20-30 milles (50km) from each other, more or less, it dont need to be accurate.
Thanks in advance
Losky

This seems to be a bug. When a transformation (to 3785, 3857) is involved it seems to query the whole table to build up the cache.  Will investigate further to see if caching=none makes a difference.

  • Need some low level help/info on Grid Control / Data Guard

    I need to get some info concerning the set up and administration of Grid Control. In particular, I need to know why Grid Control needs to have the Oracle OS-Level username and password stored in Grid Control in order for GC to set up and manage a Data Guard database.
    Is it because when the database is being created, GC issues commands like RMAN and SCP to put files onto the standby host?
    Also, for accountability purposes, can I not use a named user account (with the same privs as the oracle user) saved as the preferred credential and still perform the necessary functions to use DG and GC together effectively.
    Probably a lot of info and variables, and I've not explained much, but happy to explain further if needed.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the input... we need to use another account other the "oracle" account so there is some accountability for who does what. If I create an account that has similar privileges as the oracle user, I can still run all things Oracle, while still having a log of my log in time and actions.
    More of security issue...
    Thanks again. Appreciate it!

  • How to disable Wifi and Network access in low level setting for security ?

    Hi
    New to here
    One of our final customer bought imac last months. OS 10.9, SN is c02*******J4i
    Since they are security printing, all the necessary ports accessing to outisdes need to be disabled in low level setting(not the ons just like turn on and off ).
    The ports including USB storage, Network and WIFI.
    I googled and found the following
    Open the /System/Library/Extensions folder.
    To remove support for USB mass storage devices, drag the following file to the Trash: IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext
    Open Terminal and enter the following command: $ sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions The touch command changes the modified date of the /System/Library/Extensions folder. When the folder has a new modified date, the Extension cache files (located in /System/Library/) are deleted and rebuilt by Mac OS X.
    Choose Finder > Secure Empty Trash to delete the file.
    Restart the system.
    I want to confirm this before sending to final user. Since I didn't have mac on hand, just wonder whether there are similar kext files for network and wifi to remove.
    Just like step 2 described.
    I would like customer to backup these files before permanently removed.
    Many thanks

    Is it possible to do it and how?
    You could delete WAP accesspoint. Not all providers (carriers) allow this.

  • Speed dropping to very low levels continually

    Hi!
    I have this wireless router for about a week now.   I have rarely been able to operate at the 54mbps capacity.  It continually rises and drops - sometimes to very low levels and it is REALLY frustrating.
    I have Cox cable in California as an internet provider.    I have the router protected by WEP.
    Does anyone have this problem too, or know what could be causing this?
    Thank you in advance for your help.
    I have a second issue that I will post separate regarding Vonage compability.
    Thanks.
    Kate

    Try this info I found another website:
    I have found the fix to this problem. I had forgotten the "tcp receive window" size issue of yore (usually called RWIN). Win XP is supposed to dynamically manage this parameter to allow maximum performance, but in my case that did not happen for the wireless network adapter. My RWIN was sitting at 17520, which is too low for a 6Mbps internet connection with even average latency. I boosted it to 65700 and eventually to 131400 and am now seeing wireless internet download speeds equal to wired speeds. In my case both are averaging around 5.5Mbps with peak data rates of 6.6Mbps (the cable modem cap).
    Based on my experience, I suspect many folks with high bandwidth connections (>1.5Mbps) may not be getting the wireless performance they should.
    There are a number of sites with information on how to measure, optimize and set the RWIN parameter. Here are a few:

  • Collective Planned orders Scheduling for lower level orders with reference to the Superior order

    Hi All,
    Collective planned order scheduling.
    I have been trying to reschedule the superior planned order and i was expecting the lower level planned orders to reschedule based on the superior planned order.
    My problem is
    when i try to reschedule the superior planned order the system is not rescheduling the lower level planned orders.
    For example if i change the basic finish date of superior planned order as 30/09/2014 and reschedule the planned order it is only scheduling the header planned order and the lower level planned order is not scheduling.
    Could some one tell me why this is not happenning at planned order level.
    As the rescheduling of collective order will work at production order level but for some reason it is not happening at planned order level(as there is no option available to do so).
    Please give your thoughts on this asap.
    Mahee.

    Hello Mahee
    Please observe that your system is working as designed. Planned orders are scheduled independently, even when they are part of a network/collective order. Note 152319 explains the planned order scheduling in detail and it provides the following information:
    * No scheduling of overall networks is executed although a directly manufactured component is assigned.
    Note that no scheduling of the overall network is executed for planned orders. For the components requirements dates are determined. In order to cover them, planned orders are created in the next MRP run. Since the requirements are not managed using the exact time, the results of the planned order scheduling and of a scheduling of the overall network of the converted collective order can differ.

  • How can I get low level access to netstream using OSMF?

    Hi
    I'm trying to gain access to the low level netstream underneath the hood of OSMF so that I can access its netstream.info property for reading metrics.
    I find that I am able to do this for MP4 videos but not for F4M dynamic streaming videos.
    For MP4, I was successfully able to create a VideoElement that used a CustomNetLoader class which overrided the createNetStream method to return a netstream object.
    However, for F4M, I have to use either the MediaFactory.createMediaElement(element) method or the F4MElement. The F4MElement does not allow a CustomNetLoader to be used and it seems to only accept a F4MLoader class.
    Any advice on how I can access either the netstream object or the metrics of F4M videos?
    Thanks

    ok, I finally got access to the direct netstream object - someone from Akamai gave me the answer.
    Seeing how I wasn't able to find this answer anywhere on Google, I'm going to post the solution here as there's no way I would have known this solution without someone who knew how to get direct access to the netsteam object in OSMF.
    There's a hidden class that won't show up in the code hint called org.osmf.net.NetStreamLoadTrait that you have to import.
    1) First, your media player playing controlling your MediaElement has to listen for a LoadEvent.LOAD_STATE_CHANGE event after you load the MediaElement into the media player
    mediaPlayer.addEventListener(LoadEvent.LOAD_STATE_CHANGE, onLoadStateChange);
    2) Upon LoadEvent.LOAD_STATE_CHANGE, check for a org.osmf.traits.LoadState.READY - you can only access the NetStream object when it is LoadState.READY or the netstream object will return as null.
    private function onLoadStateChange(e:LoadEvent)
                                  if(e.loadState == LoadState.READY)
    3) Once the LoadState.READY is true, you can create a datatype of NetStreamLoadTrait and type cast it from a Load trait:
    private function onLoadStateChange(e:LoadEvent)
      if(e.loadState == LoadState.READY)
         var nsLoadTrait:NetStreamLoadTrait = mediaPlayer.media.getTrait(MediaTraitType.LOAD) as NetStreamLoadTrait;
    4) Once you successfully type cast the Media Load Trait from your media into NetStreamLoadTrait, you can access the property netstream from the NetStreamLoadTrait object.
    private function onLoadStateChange(e:LoadEvent)
      if(e.loadState == LoadState.READY)
         var nsLoadTrait:NetStreamLoadTrait = mediaPlayer.media.getTrait(MediaTraitType.LOAD) as NetStreamLoadTrait;
         var ns:NetStream = nsLoadTrait.netStream;
    Hope this helps someone out there.

    Hello Nazer_502,
    I would be concerned too if my iPhone was acting this way.  It sounds like it is overheating and not holding a charge. I recommend following the steps listed below when experiencing an issue like this:
    Battery life seems short
    Click ( www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html) for tips on how to prolong iPhone's battery life.
    Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
    Connect iPhone to iTunes and restore iPhone.
    If the screen shows a low-battery image, the battery is low on power and needs to charge for up to ten minutes before you can use it.
    When charging iPhone, make sure to leave it charging until it is fully charged. You'll know the battery is fully charged when the battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen looks like this .
    Note: When charging using a computer, don't connect iPhone to a keyboard. Also, the computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's not turned on or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPhone battery may drain.

  • High performance (low level) jdbc access routines

    Does anyone know of any low level jdbc access routines?
    My need is to be able to do high speed data access. I'm looking for something 2 orders of magnitude faster than what is available with the typical use of java.sql (connection, preparedstatement, resultset and so on).
    Several years ago while using visual basic and odbc, I had to use direct calls to the odbc32.dll functions for data access to get the performance I wanted rather than the ado and rdo stuff. I am wondering what is available with jdbc - perhaps the routines that are used when writing jdbc drivers themselves. I don't know if there is an equivalent "gateway" that all jdbc drivers use (like the odbc32.dll that is used with all odbc drivers in windows)
    Any comments would be appreciated. Even just hints as to where I might find this kind of information.

    Does anyone know of any low level jdbc access routines? What are you expecting besides what is provided in the java.sql interfaces?
    The JDBC spec spells out what the interfaces are. There isn't anything else to call.

    Any comments would be appreciated. Even just hints
    as to where I might find this kind of information.Sounds to me like you want to write your own driver, and when you're done it will only be good for one database and operating system.
    I'd have to ask what made you so certain that database calls were the bottleneck in your app. For the typical Web app, a reasonably well written persistence layer will be fast enough. There's other network latency in the system, and UI response can be slow enough to keep up. Are you worried about high throughput to the database for a Web app? If so, you might be guilty of premature optimization.
    Unless I was absolutely certain that the JDBC driver from my database vendor would not do the job, I'd write the app and then profile it to find out where the performance bottlenecks were. I wouldn't take this extreme step until I was certain that the driver was the problem and a custom version would fix it.

    hi
    while configuring SNP planning run -SAPAPO/SNP01     screen under object selection >manual selection i could see planning version, product, location and low-level code....
    1. what is the significance of this parameter low level code ?
      2. how it reacts to the planning run ?
    my guess is that it takes into account all the tail end level of the BOM that belongs to the product ..but am not sure ..since it is 000/production server i dont want to experiment
    Please help me understand the science behind low level code,can you please suggest an easy to understand link or material
    thanks

    Hi Rahul,
    The low level code the position of a particular location product in a supply chain. SNP heuristics use it to determine the correct planning sequence. This is particular important if you are running "Location Heuristics" and putting the location products in the selection and want system to plan for only those location products.
    The system will use the low level code to determine which location product to plan first and then move to the next one and so on.

  • Low level interfaces to JVM

    Hi. I'm trying to write a java debugger in java. Sun mentions publicly available low level interfaces to the JVM for getting complete info on classes (ie things like private variables)
    see the end of http://java.sun.com/docs/books/vmspec/2nd-edition/html/Overview.doc.html
    I've been searching this site for "low level interface" but I haven't been able to find any information on this topic. Has anyone had any experience with this? Can anyone help me out?
    Thanks,
    Tom

    There are a number of free publicly available
    debuggers. You can get hold of their source for a
    few ideas. e.g. Eclipse, NetBeansThanks for this peter. I think you're missing the point though. I am trying to build my own debugger so that I can precisely control the environment, not to do typical debugging. Even using an open source project, I think it would take me longer to try to fit in what I want to do into that than to build my own.

  • Low level TCP/IP

    I am a student and I am interested in beginning to develope some network security solutions. However I have heard from a few sources that Java is unable to work with the lower levels of the TCP/IP protocol. If any one could confirm this information, or make suggestions about how I could start with my projects it would be greatly appreciated.

    Java can access all of TCP/IP.
    To access the layers below TCP/IP (e.g. Ethernet, Token Ring, etc; or other IP protocols such as ICMP/IP or IGMP/IP), you'd need JNI. But relatively few people need to access those layers. Let's assume you are not trying to build your own router.
    To learn TCP/IP Java networking, check out the Java tutorials; there's a link on http://java.sun.com/
    If you want a frightening amount of alphabet soup and to see where TCP/IP is in relation to the other layers, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TCP/IP
