Loyal customers get the shaft

I just received a text that my billing date would be a few days earlier.
I have no intention of giving up my inexpensive data pool and low prices because of one months bill being due earlier.
FYI. You can't call yourself "loyal" , can you?

Dear At&t.... when I signedthe contract you gave me a due date of 1st of each month.... you make me adhere to the contract for length ... you should have to adhere to the due date! You have made it so your customers pay 2 bills in one 30 day cycle... yes your service dates remain the same but that's not the ISSUE... you did this so your bottom line looks better for the buy out of Direct TV... you made that purchase at the expense of your loyal customers who have paid their bills on time. This is BAD business... shame on you for losing sight of your customers needs...I will be researching for a new wireless service... Time Warner recently did a price increase in March 2015 then turned around and did another one in June .... I fired them ... I can fire you... I am a consumer with choices!

    So I have to vent.(guess all we can do before our phones come.)
    I went to my local bestbuy on the 7th to "PRE ORDER" 2 sprint iphone 4s. A 16 for my brother for his birthday,and a 32 for myself. I pre ordered both phones within a minute apart. Litterly. Receipt shows the 16 at 10:18 am,and the 32 at 10:19 am. I was only one to pre order a 32. I read all about the issues,so me and my brother decide to get to the store on the 14th to see if they came in. NONE. It was a shot. I get a call at 10:30 on launch day. It is the BBM manager saying the 16 came in but the 32 did not. Cool. I understand. We go in,and we are in and out. No hiccups. Brother got his phone and we left.
    I was told it would be in no later than Saturday the 15th. I understand. Apple has a finicky way of controlling there market profits. The 25th passes,and still no phone. I understand. I went to Tennessee to see my in laws. I left the 16-20 no calls saying phone had come in. I even checked there local BB to see if they had any. As you all can imagine they didn't. They received the iphone 4,but no S. So,now I am leaning towards BB favor. Hey, my store didn't get them,and neither did another state. I understand.
    I get an email on the 21st. Saying sorry your pre order is not available,but BB is hoping to have all pre orders fulfilled in 21 days. I understand. I get another email the 23 saying my pre order is unavailable to ship. This is where I start to not be so understanding. How,do I get one pre order phone,and not another,after almost 10 days. Mind you,I have been calling my local store everyday,and I am being told sorry we only have 16 or 64 white no blacks. I even went as far as to call and say I received an email saying my phone was in. That is when the BBM manager says they have 16 and 64 in. I was not offered either one. I call the 1888 number. Lady says sorry I am not seeing any inventory from any store. I was like OK, how does corporate not know inventory?
    So it is now the 24th,and I still have no 32 black sprint iphone 4s. I am know understanding I may be getting the shaft. I am finding it so hard to believe the store has not received one,not one 32 black for sprint in 17 days. Again,this is after I am told them get shipments everyday. But,guess what, my store still has 16 and 64 coming in. I just do not get it. I have one a 16,that is sold out everywhere,and I am still waiting on a phone that was not "sold out" until 5 days after I pre ordered mine.
    So as I stated,I am understanding I may be getting the shaft,run-around. Whatever,you want to call it. But, I bet if a higher person looked into this,they would see BBM has probably sold a number of 32 sprint iphone 4s. Thanks all for letting me vent. Just my overall impression of BB has gone down.
    I also want to add,this is not a bashing of BB,BBM,or even Apple. I know I want to hottest phone released. I know I may have to wait,but to tell me you have not gotten a single 32 in,17 days after pre order. After, I am told shipments come in everyday,I find that hard to believe.

    I've got the same story. I pre ordered the black 32gb 4S from Verizon on the 7th just like you. Just like you apparently my BB has not received a single 32gb Verizon 4S in 10 days.

  • Getting the shaft because of the KinTWO by Verizon Wireless!!!

    I upgraded to the KinTwo just over 30 days ago now.  I started calling Verizon re: issues with it almost immediately upon receipt starting with the TWO HOUR conversation I had with tech support trying to get the darn thing activated and uploading my contacts only to be told to take it to the STORE and have them do it.  Then I got to go AROUND with the store about the contact switch so that I wasn't charged for it.  Then I was so frustrated trying to use it that I actually downloaded and read the user manual (a first for ANY phone I've had since 1998) and it STILL SUCKS!!  There is no way to lock the volume control rocker so I am constantly muting the volume on the ringer (even though the screen is locked).  I'd had two weeks ago (3 weeks after purchase) when it randomly began shutting off.  All the time for no discernible reason!!  I have been to two Verizon stores, one Verizon dealer, and called customer service 3 separate times trying to get them to change this *** for ANY other Verizon phone.  I was even willing to add data and upgrade to the iPHONE!!!  Still I got told that my options were to either buy a phone at full retail price, pay $170 to deactivate the phone and walk away from Verizon all together OR add a line to my plan @ $10/month and get a new phone at the 2 year price and put the old phone in a drawer somewhere.  I finally thought I might have some help with my final call to customer service last week when I nice lady named Debbie said she would speak to her manager and see if there was something she could do to help.  She said the mgr. was in a meeting, but that she would call me back in the next two hours.  THAT WAS A WEEK AGO!!!  Thanks DEBBIE for NOTHING!!!
    Why do they even sell the Kin Two anymore?  What happened to the 30 day thing?  Verizon is HARDCORE that they wouldn't do anything for me when I hadn't had the phone for 30 days!!!  I cannot believe the way they treat good customers.  Wonder what they do to the people who don't pay?  Boiled in oil is my guess....

    I think the wireless customer service must be separate from the rest of verizon because they dont seem to care about customer service.
    I never got a return call a few times..  and just gave up..
    Reading your post makes me think twice about their unresponsiveness two years ago.

    raises your monthly payment?   Are there no promotions for existing customers?

    Did you upgrade to a 4G phone? The double data deal is only for 4G phones.
    Additionally, this is for ALL 4G phones, even if you are not upgrading. If you currently have a 4G phone which is on the 2GB tiered plan, you can sign into My Verizon and change it to the double data deal. At least it will let me change a 4G phone I have which was purchased last May to the double data deal.

What I really want is that my customers to only use one app that has all my services. It is an interactive app so I would not like them to go surfing elsewhere while they are in my store.

    Hi all,
    We have a fact table, AR_F to which the dimensions Party_D and Fin_D are connected. Party-org_d is inturn connected to Party_d.
    party_org_D contains details of customers like Customer name and customer ID (Number)
    Fin_D contains ratings (Both -ve and +ve) of each customer.
    the rating range is as follows,
    good rating : >0
    OK Rating: Between 0 and -1.5
    Bad Rating: <-1.5
    Now i need to get the count of all customers falling in each range as separate measures.
    Kindly help me get a solution for this.

    There are some tables with this information. You can use CRMM_BUT_LNK0011, but you can also check for tables with prefix CRMM_BUT_LNK0* for more information.
    You have to use the partner GUID, to read this information.

    I would just like to ask another question with regards to my new order for complete Creative Cloud which you suggested. I have now pre-paid for a full year but I’m not
    sure when I can start downloading the other APPS as they don’t seem to be updating on my current Creative Cloud account app display. It still shows my old configuration
    of products (i.e. Photoshop etc) and my ‘activity stream’ relates back to 9 days ago.
    Please let me know how to get my new order activated.

    That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
    So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
    But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

  • My wife and I have been with VZW for 10  years and for the last 7 we have had absolutely no service at our home. I refuse to pay to access by purchasing a signal booster because we already pay a "monthly access fee." VZW, as loyal customers, if you can't

    My question is clearly stated in the discussion description. I know we are not the only ones having this issue. But we refuse to double pay for service!

    See Our contract is due to end in Jan and we are considering switching providers. For the last 10  that we've been with Verizon, we've not been able to receive calls at our house where we spend most of our time so we are being charged for a service we are not

    I would not wait for a new tower after 7 years.   Find service that works at your house or get the extender. 
    From a different perspective, over 10 years you paid maybe $18,000 for service.  A cell tower costs $100,000 to $300,000 to build and $500 monthly fees.  Not very economical to build a tower for you.

    ok this may be easy for u great brains-
    i am developing a web site and would be taking space and bandwidth from freeservers.com. Now the problem is that I can cater only to the North American market, and this site would be useless to non Americans/ Canadians, so I wish to block my site from ip addresses not originating from North America, to save my bandwidth.
    Please Help !!!

    The problem is not getting the IP address, but figuring out where it originates. The only way I have seen this done is to do a trace route to that IP. (type tracert airchina.com.cn at a command prompt. I'm assuming they are hosted in China).
    The IP's between you and they are routers and switches. One or two of them are going to be the monster switches routing traffic in and out of a country. These are the ones you are going to be interested in. You will need to build (or buy) a database of these. If the trace route goes through an international switch, you can assume it's in a different country.
    Now, this would be simple if there were only one or two switches in or out of a country. I have no statistics, but I bet the US has thousands.
    Next, I seem to remember that trace route use thes ICMP protocol. There is no support for ICMP in Java.
    Finally, you might be able to find a company who provides this service (or a foriegn DNS blocking service). Read $$$$.

  • Loyal customers should come first

    I am so angry, have been a Verizon customer since 1999 and my bill just keeps going up and up.  Yesterday I drove 47 miles into a different state to the closest Verizon store in order to change my plan and take advantage of this new $160 plan they have been advertising on TV, just to be told that only new customers or customers who all lines on their current plan are out of contract can participate. What about the loyal customers who have stuck around for years what do they get besides the shaft!  Thinking about going to T-Mobile, they will buy me out of my contracts and then I can get a better deal.

    The issue here is choice. We all have it. Some of us choose wisely others do not. I am no proponent of the Edge program.
    I like to pay full price for my devices. There is no contracts and I use my own decision as to when to come back and buy another device.
    The Edge program is for consumers who have to have a new device every time they see a commercial on TV. Then when they get it they come back on here and say "when will cocoanut cream pie be put out by Verizon"? And then they come here and say I never should have got this phone because it won't turn on my dish washer or car.
    If a person just pays outright they can then choose a plan that fits their needs and no contracts.
    I know everyone cannot afford $3200 for four devices so Verizon offers a break up of the costs. Albeit the program requires you to trade in when you trade up. But it is there for your choice.
    Other providers have similar offerings. But if you cannot make and receive phone calls they are not viable.

    My DVR is the old 80GB model. The new 500GB model has been available to "new" customers for some time now. Current customers can only get on a "someday" waiting list. Full story below. Incidentally, this is the worst treatment I get from any service I pay for from any vendor. If I could get fiber from anyone else, I'd dump Verizon.
    I am extremely unhappy with my FIOS service and the general treatment I have received in the last month. I have been a loyal customer of Verizon FIOS for a long time, years, I was an early adopter. I called in December (my contract was up again) and in order to renew I asked for an equipment upgrade (my DVR is too small). I was promised an upgrade and renewed my contract. I was sent to different boxes containing the same equipment I already have (which I returned). After many hours online and on the phone sorting this out of 2 weekends we finally sorted out the problem. The requested DVR model I was promised and have asked for since early December is only being given to NEW customers. As a loyal customer who has given Verizon thousands of dollars, I am punished by being denied access to modern equipment. I was told as a current customer I could sign up on a waiting list and someday the equipment will be offered to older customers (I can only assume after every new customer in the world signs up). I was alternately told by a customer service rep that the only way to get what I asked for is to rip out all my current equipment, send it in, make and wait for new installation appointments, and become a new customer. THIS IS UTTERLY REPUGNANT. I have been with Verizon for years.  I believe I am not less important that anyone off the street that wants to sign up. Is Verizon willing to do anything at all about this? Is this my reward for years of paying Verizon, to be treated like a second class customer and offered untenable options??? I feel after all my loyalty and lots and lots of cash over the years I deserve the same thing as any other customer.

    Under $15 a month and does everything I want. I thought I missed the VOD untill I got it back for 2 months and decided I didn't need it. Multi Room, don't need it. Tried it once and canceled it. The only reason I have MRDVR now was to get the discounted HD boxes which they do now anyway. Shame they started that a month after I picked up the VZ DVR.
    I did sugest that Verizon partner with TiVO and cut their development cost, and that was given a not likely response. Yea if Verizon offered a TiVO with the guide TiVO provides, TiVO VOD options, Verizon VOD options, Verizon Widgets, I would give Verizon $20 a month no problem.
    I had a Verizon 6216 DVR for 4 years, a TiVO still for over a year, and now a 7216 for about 2 months. I like TiVO. Sorry Verizon.

    I have been a very loyal customer to verizon for the past 6 years and now it is time for another upgrade.  I go to verizon to upgrade my phone only to be told if i upgrade i will lose my unlimited data plan.  I was grandfathered into the unlimited data plan but now i must give it up or keep my current phone.  This is crap!!  All i want to do is upgrade and keep my service.  I was then told that i could in fact keep my plan IF i buy a REPLACEMENT phone. *** is going on here.  Needless to say i am switching service providers, nobody else is offering an unlimited data plan but if i have to pay for one it wont be to Verizon!!

    I have been with verizon for 10 years. When an employee told me it would be cheaper for me to get off the unlimited plan and go month to month i believed her. LIES!!!!! they want you to get off the unlimited plan. I pay 40 dollars extra a month for this plan when this employee said it was the right choice. I have been through the ringer with Verizon. For months i have been talking to people and trying to get back on the unlimited because their employee gave me false information, Many other Verizon reps said they would have never recommended that i get off the plan because i use the phone a lot for my job. I told the first woman i talked to about that but she reassured me that this was the right plan for me. I had one lady tell me because i am a loyal customer and i pay my bill on time every month that they would switch me back to the unlimited on the next billing cycle... MORE LIES!!!!! There is so much more that i dont even want to get into but this fact remains.... If you work for a company and i look to you for knowledge and advice of what i should do and you give me false and wrong answers then the company should be held responsible. But not Verizon. Now that they are a huge company it doesnt matter to them if they lose LOYAL customers because they will get more tomorrow. So i will be ending my time with them purely out of principle. I dont like being treated with disrespect like i have by this company. So Sprint it is!!! After i converted all my family to verizon. My sister, mom, dad, husbane...i kid you not. Now i need to convert them away from the greed, lies, disrespect, and horrible customer service.
