Has anyone had this exeprience where they transferred their Verizon FiOS service to a new address and Verizon
raises your monthly payment? Are there no promotions for existing customers?

I just bought a 15" MBP 2.3 i7 quad. I didn;t have enough money to buy an SSD when I ordered the MBP, but before it arrived, I scraped together thw money and ordered one, along with a "Data Doubler".
I want to take the HD out, install the SSD, load software on the SSD with the optical drive, then take out the optical drive and replace it with the original HD.
Sounds pretty easy, no?
WELLLL....I can't get the screws out of the back of the MBP!!!
I actually think I stripped several ofthe screw heads....NOT GOOD...
Who can I bring this MBP to before I ruin a laptop that costs more than my last used car?

It would make a lot of sense to stripe two SSDs to double the speed. Theoretically.
Bare with me.
Second generation SATA interfaces running at 3.0 Gbit/s with a native transfer rate of 3.0 Gbit/s, and taking 8b/10b encoding into account, the maximum uncoded transfer rate is 2.4 Gbit/s (300 MB/s).
Third generation SATA interfaces running at 6.0 Gbit/s with a native transfer rate of 6.0 Gbit/s, and taking 8b/10b encoding into account, the maximum uncoded transfer rate is 4.8 Gbit/s (600 MB/s).
So:
In a computer with two SATA III (6Gbit/sec) interfaces connected to two SATA III SSDs (like the OCZ Vertex 3 MI) you would instead of 550MBytes/sec read 1100MBytes per second.
But (and here comes a big BUT)
Apple has decided to limit the speed on the superdrive bay to SATA II (3Gbit/sec) by connecting to the slower SATA II interface of the chipset (takes less power) instead of the second (existent!!!) SATA III interface !!!!!!
So back in the 2 SSD array but this time in a MBP 15/17 2011 (i5 or i7):
The one in the superdrive bay would read up to 300 MBytes per second, the one in the HDD bay "could" read up to 550MBytes per second so you would say "hey that is a 850MB/sec", right?
Wrong: as the faster has to wait for the slower you read kinda 2x300 so 600 MB/sec.
Wow that is soo much faster then 550 and it costs only double the price of a SSD ;-)
But in a computer with multiple SATA III interfaces it does make a lot of sense (given the need of speed and the cash to go for it).
But dont give up! You will be able to run the 4 SSD raid stripe soon: it will be in a thunderbolt attached enclosure!!! (Although you might be shocked to learn the price... your MBP might even look cheap when compared)

Are you having trouble with the screws because you don't have the right screwdriver, or because you do have the right screwdriver but they're too tight to turn? Or another problem? Trying to understand exactly what the problem with the screws is.
I've taken the bottom off and it was pretty easy, with the correct size screwdriver.
You could force open the bottom, but you'd guarantee that you'd never get it back on, and that would be a bad way to use a laptop. -

Consumers may be awarded a variety of remedies against any business that engages in false or misleading advertising. These remedies may include:

Injunctions ordering the businesses to stop running the advertisements

I'm would guess that they were told by Apple to expect a certain amount devices, and when that amount fell short...well guess what happens...backorders and furious consumers. Was I upset that I had trouble pre-ordering...yes. Was I a bit bothered when my ship date moved...you betcha! Will my world come to an end if I don't have my new iPhone today...nope, not at all. I'm not saying you shouldn't be bothered but it's not like it's a limited edition device and they're only producing so many. Everyone who wants one will eventually have the opportunity to get it...some of us will just have to wait a little longer. I'm in no way telling you not to be upset, after all, you're entitled to your own opinion and feelings...I just know that my energy could be better used on something more productive than being angry at Verizon. After all, I know they're not sitting on a boat load of phones just pointing at laughing at the fact that I have to wait. When they have it, they'll ship it. I'll get mine and I'm sure if you hang in there, you'll get yours too. I just received a text that my billing date would be a few days earlier.
I have no intention of giving up my inexpensive data pool and low prices because of one months bill being due earlier.

You can't call yourself "loyal" , can you?Dear At&t.... when I signedthe contract you gave me a due date of 1st of each month.... you make me adhere to the contract for length ... you should have to adhere to the due date! You have made it so your customers pay 2 bills in one 30 day cycle... yes your service dates remain the same but that's not the ISSUE... you did this so your bottom line looks better for the buy out of Direct TV... you made that purchase at the expense of your loyal customers who have paid their bills on time. This is BAD business... shame on you for losing sight of your customers needs...I will be researching for a new wireless service... Time Warner recently did a price increase in March 2015 then turned around and did another one in June .... I fired them ... I can fire you... I am a consumer with choices!

Workflow report to get the User where
Hi ,
Does any standard workflow report exist to get the all approvers list who have active workitems in their inboxes for particular workflow template.
Or is there any standard table where we can find the users who have the active workitems sitting in their inbox.
IF not, I would greatly apprciate if you can provide if anyone has any custom report to do this.

I am not sure any std. workflow report exists that will show the list of users for a particular workflow template
But using table- SWWWIHEAD get the workitem id using corresponding task (WI_RH_TASK) and with WI_TYPE (Dialog), then give the WI id to table- SWWUSERWI to get the users.
P.S: If you need to get the actual agent of a task then use WI_AAGENT of SWWWIHEAD.

Getting the last clicked menu item
Hi everybody,
Does anyone know if there is a method which exists to get the last item selected from a JMenu? For example, if you click on a menu item called "blah", that method would return that item to you? I looked over the Java tutorial about the focus subsystem and I didn't see a method in the javadocs, but I'm hoping I just missed it, does anyone know? If somebody could give me a quick answer, I'd appreciate it.

Overheating Problem dv6, help getting the dust out.
For a while now my Dv6 laptop has had a problem with over heating. It's around over 6 months old. Its continually getting hotter.
Now I figure it's the dust, as it is in a high dust environment, my desk I have it on constantly has a layer of dust on it no matter how many times I clean it. I do not currently have a cooling pad. (dv6 notebook)
What I want to do is clean out the dust from inside. Now I'm not an expert and I've never done it before, It looks kind of complicated to get the screws out etc. I found a guide on the net which seems good at taking it off but I'm not sure (http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=226910).
What I would like to know is:
1) Is there an official step by step guide or an equivelent guide I can follow.
2) Is there anything I need to know, not to do, to do, before/during taking the case off and cleaning ( what not to touch what not to unscrew etc)
3) How many cans of compressed air would I need to fully clean it.
4) Anything else I would need to know before attemping to clean it
Also I had a problem with a sort of rattling/loud humming, sound comming from the left side, can't determine wether its the harddrive or fan. It is an intermittent sound, it normally starts up when I turn on the laptop, but ends up stopping sometime later.

How to get the database value without submitting the jsp page

I have a form that has many fields (textbox/listbox). when user enter/change a value in the first textbox, I need to pass this value to the database to check whether it exist and get the other values to be displayed to other fields in that form (i cannot get the javascript value to be pass to jsp without reload/refresh/submit. But, I need to get the user entered value, so I thought of hidden popup, iframe, etc but not sure how I could apply and which best suit this case). If I submit the page then I can easily get the value thru 'request.getParameter("fieldname") but cannot use this because I cannot submit the page.

ThanksThe best way for you is surely AJAX. But there is another way to stay compatible with older browsers:
Since the default method a browser supposed to get data is refresh, there is nothing unnatural in it. Browsers are optimized to refreshes, like cached images, etc..
So for these step-by-step things, you need to roll forward your data from page to page, and make the page to respond according the data it actually have. This can be easily achived with type="hidden" input fields in a form: the user will send you back all the data. Optionally you may show him the data you already have as visible text too.
A more generalised way to "pull" the data: you make a whole page you include every time you need an additional data. This page will receive 2 parameters from where you've included it. This 2 parameters are each indexed arrays with the datas you have to pull in (here the default value), and you need to push forward. Optionally there is a 3rd parameter, the url it have to return (as the form's action property).
And for them who now say that it would me more culture way to store this data in the session: Beware! Common mistake: Sessions are to store data about the user itself, not the datas for the next page! You never know what will be the next page! The user click some backward button and refresh button, and depending on your script, it may go stupid! Ok, not all the codes, but I've seen some. It's ok to store a sent file (fx. image) on the server, but always think the evil refresh and back buttons! -

Pierre RAFFA.Ctrl|CMD+ clicking on a layer in the Layers Palette loads|select the layers transparency as far as I know has nothing to do with area of intrest. I think that has more to do with content and the eye of the observer. If all else fails The Scriptlistener may record something for Ctrl|CMD+ clicking on a layer in the Layers Palette.

I am looking to upgrade to the entire CC suite from the Lightroom/Photoshop package. The packages page says the complete suite is available to existing customers for 29.99 monthly. But when I try to upgrade I only get one option for 599.99 yearly. Can I get clarification on the $29.99 offer and who it is available for. Thank you

and I think due to above Error, Index on a Particular Attribute (EMP_ID) of a DIMENSION DIM_EMP is getting dropped from FEW of the Partitions (Folders) and started getting new error:

I followed the above path and did not find file 688.DIM_EMO.EMP_ID.fact.map in folder PARTITION_2013Q31.0.prt. Once I rebuild the Index (ProcessIndex) for this partition, I am able to See file 688.DIM_EMO.EMP_ID.fact.map.
But again when next time I get error "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service", Then 688.DIM_EMO.EMP_ID.fact.map will be dropped and will not be available in folder PARTITION_2013Q31.0.prt.
Anyone had similar issue. Could you please share your experience and resolution if any.

In your scenario, the issue occur at sometimes, right? Base on my research, the issue can be caused by that calculation estimate exceeded available memory. Possibly due to possible number of dimension members and sizes of keys. And 32bit environment didn’t
allow for any expansion to the SSAS memory space.
To avoid this issue, please try to use userva to fine tune the 3GB setting down to 2900 since /3GB is the likely
cause (has been for most other customers who encountered the same problem before). The KB Articles below discuss that setting in detail.
How to use the /userva switch with the /3GB switch to tune the User-mode space to a value between 2 GB and 3 GB

Couple of questions. I found an apple support document on this topic that opened with this line:
"AirPort Express and all AirPort Extreme base stations can use WDS. Earlier AirPort base stations can't."
If the TC is an airport extreme base station, why can't this work to extend the network? I think I misunderstand. Here is the full article:

If I buy a new airport extreme, set it to wireless-n only as my main router, am I correct that my existing time capsule could be used as a bridge if plugged in upstairs?
Final question (and that should do it), could I take this old airport express, plug it in upstairs using the ethernet connection, and just create a separate wireless network to use with a different name?
I'd like to keep one network if possible but just kicking around short term solutions.
