LR4.2 printing multiple cell with overlap - What you see IS NOT what you get ?

I am using LR4.2 and PS-elements. Epson 3800 for printing
PS - never an isue.
user is admin ..
I get a strange phenomena in LR4.2 when doing multiple cells on same print - with overlapping: At time what you see is not what's going to be printed! at times you will get the printout with some of the cells mising photos (even printing them to file will result in the same way..). Post the printing (ouch wasting of paper...) if I select the cell, I can "send it to the front, ad now it will be printed ok/.
Please advice - did you see this before >?

I have never tried printing overlapping photos. Can you describe how to a simple photo layout that demonstrates the problem so others can try? Or at least include a screen-capture of the layout that is showing the issue. It may have something to do with your particular printer driver even if you print to a JPG, but if others, with other printers have the same issue, then it is likely something within LR, only.

Hi,
Fetch all the PRs and its corresponding items into 2 different table. Then Loop at the internal whihc contains the PRs and call the 2nd internal table for its items and call the FM for smartforms and pass them.
LOOP AT it_PR.
fetch all the items into it_PR_item
Call Function Fnam
Passign the it_PR_item
ENDLOOP.

Print multiple handouts with notes from powerpoint 2011

Does anyone know how to print multiple handouts with notes (not lines for notes, notes I have taken in addition to the slides) from powerpoint 2011? Thanks!

I tried some things and came to conclusion, that the more pages I print the more bugs I got. Bit by bit I printed seperate pages again and replaced the wrong ones by them. But couldn't be the solution, could it?

Printing multiple PDF with single event at client side

Hello,
I have a requirement where I must print multiple different pre-populated Adobe forms (e.g. populated with a name/address) from ABAP WD. These need to be printed at a client side printer, and they don't want to see them first (that would be easy). Just print multiple forms from a single button click.
Has anyone had this requirement? My main question is not how to pre-populate the pdfSource, but how to have the user prompted for a printer 1x and then have the forms sent straight to the local printer without displaying.

Sorry to 'hijack' this thread but i was trying to do the same thing but failed EVERYTIME!!!
When i tried to merge just 2 multiple-paged(abt 20+ pages each) pdfs into one, it simply crashed Preview at the end of the process! Tried 'Save', 'Save all' & 'Print as PDF' but all doesn't work!
I tried Combine PDF.app & Automator.app and the same thing happened. The combining process CRASHED the app i used...

Print multiple pages with dynamic data from same movieclip

Hi @ all,
like much of us i have a problem with printjob.
I have a printjob routine, that starts a new job, then
handles the following in a loop for printing multiple pages:
1. update content for every page in a sprite. every loop it's
the same sprite. the sprite is visible on stage
2. addPage to Printjob
after that sends the printjob to the printer
Now the Problem:
On Windows it runs perfectly. On Mac only the last page was
printed. the other pages before are empty (white).
Has anyone a idea?

Her's my code. As you can see i try to print a table on
multiple pages. In every loop i only show the rows for the actually
printing page:

the printview function only updates the content in the sprite
that will be printet on every page.
it generates the rows of a table that will be printed on the
actual page and return if all rows are printed (true or false)
this is a very slim function. there is no time overflow or
sth. like this.

Printing without spreads with overlapping elements.

My document is ready to print but my printer requires that I do not use spreads. I believe this is easy enough, I just turn off facing pages and send away. However, I have some elements that I want to overlap from one page to another. When I turn off facing pages I don't see an option to do this. How could I format this so my printers will still accept it?

Your printer may have asked you to not export the InDesign file as a PDF with spreads. That would make a single page out of each two-page spread, and because you likely designed the job in Reader's spreads (consecutively-numbered pages), it will be more work for the printer to impose the pages into Printer's spreads (where, for example, you might place the last page to the left of the first page in one spread, and the second-to-last page to the right of the second page in another spread). If you export without checking the Spreads checkbox, the PDF will use one page for every page in the InDesign file.
Talk to the printer and explain that you have some images that span a spread, and they will advise you on how to proceed.

Trouble printing multiple pages with HP ENVY 5531

I am printing wirelessly from a Windows 8 machine. If I only print one page it works fine every time. If I try to print multiple pages then on the 2nd or 3rd page it always cuts off the bottom portion of the page.
There was another post that had a similar problem but the problem went away when they connected up the USB cable from the computer to the printer. I need to print over wireless so that isn't a good solution for me.

Try following the steps below and check if that may help:
- Open the HP software by clicking the HP ENVY 5530 icon within the Desktop or the Start Menu, then click the Printer Home Page (EWS) link.
- Click the Network tab.
- Depending on your printer model click on Networking and then on Network Address (IP) or click on IPv4 within the active network connection type.
- Click on Manual IP , and then click Suggest a Manual IP Address . A manual IP address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway displays.
*Be sure to take a note of the IP address and Confirm the changes, then close the EWS page.
- Click the HP ENVY 5530 icon within the Desktop or the Start Menu and click the Utilities tab, then click on Update IP Address.
- Type the manually configured IP address, click on Save and confirm.
- Open the control panel and go to Devices and Printers.
- Right click the HP ENVY 5530 icon and select Printer Properties.
- Open the Ports tab.
- Click the Add Port button, select Standard TCP/IP and click on New Port.
- Follow the steps by typing the manually configured IP address and confirm the changes.
Now try printing and check if the issue been resolved.

Printing from web pages is excruciatingly slow with most recent upgrades of Firefox .Use an iMac and an HP officejet printer. Printer works fine with Safari and woodprocessed files, but not with Firefox and web pages.

Printing from web pages is excruciatingly slow since downloading most recent upgrades of Firefox Mozilla. I have a desktop iMac, OS 10.6.8, and an HP officejet printer 4500 G510n. The printer works fine with the Safari Browser and with woodprocessed files, but not with Firefox and web pages. Help please! It used to print fast with earlier versions of Firefox.

Hello and welcome to the Apple Discussions Forum.
I have hardly any experience with HP printers but since your posting has not been replied to yet I thought I'd offer some assistance.
With the printer status and ink levels working, it shows that you have a connection to the printer. So I would look at the issue being with the protocol being used for the print queue on the Mac.
Since you have XP and Vista working, I would check the printer queue configuration on either box. In XP, go to the Properties and select Ports. Click the Configure Port tab to view the connection. If you are using RAW, then this is known as HP Jetdirect-Socket on OS X. So if you are not sure what protocol was used before I would create another printer queue, this time selecting IP > HP Jetdirect-Socket. Then enter your IP address and select the K5400dn from the Print Using menu.
If this still fails to print then please reply. There may be limitations with adding the HP driver this way that I am not aware of. There may also be other driver options you can look at, such as HPIJS. If Greg Sahli reads this posting he has expert knowledge on this matter and will be able to offer some guidance.

What to do with iTunes when you get another iPod?

My daughter has an iPod mini that is completely filled up. For her birthday, she want to get a new 30G iPod.
The thing I am wondering about it whether or not she will be able to use her current iTunes library with the new iPod. I would not want to see her start from scratch, as that would just take up more room on her hard drive.
Can you use iTunes with more than one iPod?

Actually an iPod can be used on multiple computers and multiple iPods can be used on a single computer so you'll be fine when you get your new one. Not sure where to ask this- printing multiple files with file names

Apologies if there was a better place to ask this question- I'm not sure which program I should be using to achieve what I'd like to do and I'm not sure if it's even possible. I'm currently working for a publishing house preparing images that will eventually be printed inside books. Files come to me in a wide variety of formats. I save them as either tiff or eps. These files (the tiffs and the eps) will eventually be sent along to someone that is doing layout work for the book and then to the printers. Before that happens however I need to provide the editor with hardcopies of the images that will be published so that they can review them. Having the editors look at digital versions of the files is not currently an option. Our current workflow (not designed by me) entails entering all the images for any given book into an InDesign template. Then in Indesign I have to enter some information about the images (their numerical designation, their file format). Then we print the .indd file for editorial review. I find this process incredibly time consuming and tedious and I'm looking for a way to avoid it all together.
What I would like to be able to do is select a folder of images (tiffs and eps only) and print them at 100% (no resizing, one image per page) with the file name at the bottom of the page. Due to the number of images I'm responsible for, this could save me several hours of tedious work a week and would allow me to devote more time to producing a quality product. I thought I had found a solution using the 'contact sheet II' tool in adobe bridge. However, this rasterizes the eps files and makes them look unprofessional. An hour and a half of googling this issue has taken me to numerous dead ends. I wonder if there might be some way to do this quickly in indesign (at which I am a complete novice) or possibly via an automated illustrator function.

I appreciate the reply. I'm not sure that I will be able to convince the powers that be to drop the EPS format. I'm fairly certain that the printer, which the press has a long-standing relationship with, expects TIFF and EPS files exclusively. In addition, I'm not sure if I'm misreading what you're saying, or if you misunderstood something I said. Typically, the EPS format looks great and prints fine through illustrator or via InDesign (in other words, it doesn't usually look unprofessional). I use TIFF for photos or illustrations and EPS for charts or graphs (basically, in any instance I have to set type). The problem is that the only way I've found to speed up the production of hardcopies for editorial review ('contact sheet II' ) runs through bridge and photoshop, ruining the appearance of the EPS files.
I wonder if there's a way to run a similar batch process (may not be the correct wording) through illustrator such that both the TIFF and EPS files look clear, print at 100%, print one image per page, and the file name is included on the printout. Basically, a one image per page contact sheet. To do this now, I have to place every single file individually into InDesign and manually enter information about the files.

¿Print multiple images with specific settings all at once?

I have never been able to fully get the Automator to work...
Here's my scenario.
I use Fedex Online to make labels and use their adhesive labels, but I usually need to print about 17 at a time... So instead of printing 1 by 1... I save the PNG files... Then I setup a template in pages, with 17 pages and replace each image 1 by 1, then print....
Which is a lot of work, then I have to double check to make sure I didn't duplicate 1 form, etc...
SO what can I do to A. Get them to print all at once and B. Make sure they are setup to print to the FEDEX labels margins (Right/Left: .5", top .375", bottom 5.5")?
I already made a custom page setting in page setup...
hopefully someone can offer some insight

Another thing I tried was to save images into a pdf, but I don't know where the PDF is saved to...
What is the order that I am supposed to do things in?
What I have now is:
1. Get specified Finder items (I have the items selected)
2. Compress Images into PDF Document
Now what? When I press play, it seems to work, but I don't know where the PDF is saved...

Print multiple photos with captions

I cannot find a way to print 4-6 photos with captions. Instructions say to click on More Options on bottom of dialog box. when i click on that, only color management is an option. This is after selecting Picture package. please help.

PS Elements 6 with Windows XP sp2. I tried the organizer but would go with either one that works. What I want to do is print between 3-6 photos on a plain white piece of paper, enlarged to fit the page with captions under each photo. I have used Word to do this but thought an all in one would be better. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Is it possible to make multiple subclips with overlap markers at one go ?

I know to make subclips, we use MODIFY > MAKE SUBCLIPS but how do I do the following:
Let's say I have captured some 20 mins of clips from my video camera & named this clip as MainClip in the the browser.
When I double click MainClip in the browser, it will appear in the Viewer.

How do I get 4 subclips from this with the following requirement:
Subclip1: 2nd min to 3rd min
Subclip2: 5th min to 6th min
Subclip3: 8th min to 9th min
Subclip4: 10th min to 12th min.
How do I place In-point at 2nd, 5th, 8th & 10th min and Out-Point at 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th min ? How do I do it in one-go ?

How do I get 4 subclips if the segments I want are overlap, for example if I want to create subclips having the following requirements:
Subclip1: 2nd min to 3rd min
Subclip2: 2.5th min to 6th min
Subclip3: 5th min to 9th min
Subclip4: 8th min to 12th min.
NB: the In-point for subclip2 are now overlap and is in between the In-point and Out-Point of subclip1 (ie 2.5th min is in bewteen 2nd and 3rd min)

But I think maybe you misunderstood my question. Or maybe I misunderstood you answer.
I can capture the clip from my video camera into the browser without problem. My problem is after I captured them. After I captured them, I double click in the bowser & it will appear in Viewer. So, I use the method "press Cmd-U, mark new I/O, and press Cmd-U again" in the Viewer ?
Can I know what is the menu equivalent of Cmd-U ?
Question 2: You cannot use the marker technique described above, you have to use In and Out points. You can't do this in one step.
If I understand you correctly, what you are trying to say is the "press Cmd-U, mark new I/O, and press Cmd-U again" method will work even if the the clip overlap bcos everytime a Cmd-U is being pressed, a new set of I/O is being activated ?

C4780 Printer, Multiple computers with different OS.

I have successfully installed my C4780 photosmart on a Macbook Pro (wife's Computer) that uses 10.6 Snow leopard. I want to add my computer which is a Macbook and has the 10.5 OS. I understood that you could only run either version of OS with the printer. If I try to add my computer to the printer, will it mess with the settings and not allow me to print from the Macbook Pro with the 10.6 version OS ?
Do I need to upgrade my Macbook OS to 10.6 or higher to get this printer to work for both computers?

Is your printer connected to your wife's Mac by USB or is it connected to your wireless router. I will assume the later.
If it is connected to a router, you can easily add it to a Mac running 10.5. Get the latest software for your printer from the "Support & Driver" link at the top of this page and install it. Select "Network" (or similar) when it asks what kind of connection.

Selecting multiple cells with keyboard command?

Is there a way in Numbers to select many adjecent cells in a column without using the mouse? I have a document that has thousands of rows, so selecting 2000 cells in a column with the mouse for example, obviously takes forever. I would love to be able to give the command 'select A1 to A2000'

I didn't want to select the full column, only part of it, like 2000 cells somewhere in the middle of 4000. But your tip made me play around with the Command and Shift keys and I figured out a way to do it. I selcted the full column, then I Command-clicked on the first cell I wanted to in my selection. That made a 'gap' in the selction. Now I went to the very top of the document and Shift-clicked on the first cell. Then all the cells above my first target cell was de-selected. Then I did the same thing and Command-clikced on the the last cell I wanted to highlight, and then went to the last cell of the document and used Shift-Click do deselect everything below the last cell I wanted to select.
