LSMW...new query
First profound thanks to Dittakavi Srinivas, Rajesh Banka, Chandru and others who guided me for LSMW.
I have the following new queries:
1. I have uploaded the customer master from the legacy using the 'Recording 'method. The first customer has got repeated twice. How do I delete this customer record? OR VD06 is the only solution?
2. 2 fields were left out while uploading. One of them Credit Control area is a standard constant value. and Other one Terms of payment in the sales area data
Now if I use the Direct Input Object method then at the Step 6 I should be able to give the constant fixed value for CCA? how do I do it? any screen shot?
3. For the Terms of payment I will have to make separate tabdelim file which would have the customer name and terms of payment against this name?
OR only ZTERM column is enough.
4. I tried to do it but it gave funny values for the record so I abandoned the process and now shall again resume from step 7 after I receive advice from you guys.
5. For Individual customer Limit do I use FD32 and upload it as direct input object and with constant value at step 6?? How is it?
Await your urgent guidance.
Adi
<b>1. I have uploaded the customer master from the legacy using the 'Recording 'method. The first customer has got repeated twice. How do I delete this customer record? OR VD06 is the only solution?</b>
I suppose you are usung internal number range for Customer Master. In that case, the same customer must have been created with different Customer Number. You can block one of the customer Code through T.Code VD05.
Similarly, if you are using external number range, even in that case the customer must have been created with different Customer Code. Soyou can block one of the Customer Code through VD05.
<b>2. 2 fields were left out while uploading. One of them Credit Control area is a standard constant value. and Other one Terms of payment in the sales area data
Now if I use the Direct Input Object method then at the Step 6 I should be able to give the constant fixed value for CCA? how do I do it? any screen shot?</b>
<b>3. For the Terms of payment I will have to make separate tabdelim file which would have the customer name and terms of payment against this name?
OR only ZTERM column is enough.</b>
Create a new LSMW for Customer Master in Change mode with only 2 left out fields & also include Customer Code, Company Code & Sales Area. Upload the new LSMW with relevant information.
<b>5. For Individual customer Limit do I use FD32 and upload it as direct input object and with constant value at step 6?? How is it?</b>
Maintain it directly through FD32. If the volume is high, ctreate LSMW.

Rajesh Banka

How to copy existing query report into new query report in SQ00
Hi Experts,
Hi Experts,
I want to add fields "company code" "'region" to existing query report AQZZ/SAPQUERY/FKF1============
(list of vendor address) for this i done as following:
1.In SQ01 go to "EDIT->other user group" and i selected user group as /SAPQUERY/FK
2.I typed F1 in query field and click change button
3.I clicked next screen button and entered into "change query f1: select fields screen".here i clicked "basic list" button and searched company code checkbox and saved it as result company code is appearing in the standard report"AQZZ/SAPQUERY/FKF1============"
but unfortunately there is no region field(LFA1-REGIO) for this i think i should copy the existing query report into new query report(Ex:Z_LIST_OF_VEND) which should be 14 characters.please tell me briefly how to do this because this is first time i am using SQ00.
one more issue is when i selected "edit-otheruser group" and choosing /SAPQUERY/FK i am getting only infoset "/SAPQUERY/FIKD" but i should need Info set: "/SAPQUERY/FIDD" please tell me how to add the previous one into user group.i think if i got /SAPQUERY/FIDD into usergroup /SAPQUERY/FK i can add region also into Query report as i mentioned above by going SQ01 ...............................
please help regarding this which should be very beneficiary to my carrier.
Regards,
nareshHi Experts ,
I solved issue by changing infoset in SQ02 by means of assigning field to field group and changed the query in SQ00.

IR Dashboard report from new query not getting all Quick Filter selections
I inherited an IR Dashboard .bqy and my user recently added a new Query, Result, Table, and Report section to it. I cannot get the report to dynamically filter based on the date chosen in the existing Quick Filters section. It seems to be filtering the Location properly (drop down in Quick Filters section), but not the date. Her result section refuses to show anything less than ALL dates from the query.
The other reports/pivots already on the dashboard work fine with all QuickFilters.
In my attempt to integrate her new report in to the dashboard I add a new hidden "dummy" pivot (based on the existing query btw, not the new query-could that be the issue? it's dummy though so i figured it was ok), reference this pivot in the Embedded Targets object I found by adding "Object~Pivot4|Type~9|Target~Casket Margin Summary" line,
went to Dashboard Studio and was able to Associate this report in to the right frame, etc.
In the script behind the QIQ date "Set Filters" button I saw this code for the existing "Result_Detail" section so I added a line for my new "Results_Merch Detail" section.
var objServDate = ActiveDocument.Sections["Casket Margin"].Shapes["Service_Date^qiqlbx^showname^a"];
if (objServDate.SelectedList.Count > 2){
Alert("Please select only two dates");
return;
ActiveDocument.Sections.Item(txlMe.Text).Qiq_onControlClick(this.Parent,this)
ActiveDocument.Sections["Results_Merch Detail"].Limits["Service Date"].Operator = 11
ActiveDocument.Sections["Results_Detail"].Limits["Service Date"].Operator = 11;
I tried it with and without an extra semi-colon at the end of my line. Is that the right way to tell it to apply it to more than 1 Result??
Worked with this for hours now and can't find whatever else is hidden which tells the QIQfIlter Date to refresh this NEW query/result when chosen.
I tried to make sure all Filter items exist in the new query's Request line, one was missing. i haven't gone back to Dash Studio since then and re-saved, does THAT matter? I saved the .BQY and re-processed, still no luck.
can anyone help? I'm desperate for suggestions.
Thank you!
KarenThis has been resolved. The main thing that kept it from working was I kept launching the Dashboard Studio after I was in Design mode so any time I got to the QIQ Filters setup screen it looked like cryptic code and there was nothing to alter or play with to try and force the filters to take effect, so I never changed anything.
This time I launched the Dashboard Studio while accidentally in regular mode, blessing in disguise. on Step 1 of the wizard I chose QIQ Filter Properties from the configuration drop down list which pops up the Local Filters setup window, now in place of code syntax there was english-like words & action items for me to play around with so I chose my new result set from the drop down list and highlighted all the limits and clicked "Set Filters". Presto, that did it.
Also I had to make sure all the columns referenced in the QIQ drop down lists and pick list was in my request line in the Query & Result section, repeat the above, and it's all working great now.
Thanks,

Screen Pop a View in New Query Mode
I am doing a Siebel screen pop customization and am having trouble figuring out how to open my desired view in query mode when the call comes in. I have specified my BusComp and BusObj as well as my SingleView in the custom EventResponse but am not sure where and how to specify the mode which I want the view to open in.
Anyone know how to do this?
Thanks in advance!Thank you Fuzii,
I am a Siebel newbie and am trying to figure out how to do a few things with custom screen pops.
My EventResponse looks like this:
[EventResponse:AnsweredInboundCall]
QueryBusComp = "<busComp>"
QueryBusObj = "<busObj>"
QuerySpec = "[<fieldName>] = '{<variableName>}'"
SingleView = "<viewName>"
So the specified view will show when there is a match on the variableName. In case that variable is empty or a match is not found, then I would like to have the view open in query mode. I am doing this directly in the Siebel Admin Configuration but it doesn't seem that there is a way to tell the applet which mode to open in here.
If I set the Auto Query Mode to 'New Query' in Siebel Tools, will my specification for SingleView in EventResponse override it and show the view with that record found?
Thank you for the help :) -
I was upgrade to SQL Server 2012 and Visual Studio 2010 was upgraded with SP1 the same day. This is x64 machine.
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 11.0.2100.60
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0.30319.261
Operating System 6.1.7601
Problem 1) With SQL Server Management Studio, selecting "New Query" a warning box is displayed: "The 'Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Configuration.Design.VisualStudioIntegration2010Package, Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Configuration.Design.VisualStudioIntegration2010,
Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=netutral, PublicKeyToken=null' package did not load correctly. The problem mayhave been cuased by a configuration change or by the installation of another extension. You can get more information by running the
application together with the /log parameter on the command line, and then examining the file ...\AppDate\Roaming\Microsoft\AppEnv\10.0\ActivityLog.xml'. Continue to show this error message?
Problem 2) In a Query Initellisense works intermittently but most of the time it will not display anything. I have tried Edit|Intellisense|Refresh Cach size and also seperately, Edit | Intellisense | List Members but neither has helped. Also
tried different selections for Tools|options| T-SQL | Intellisense| Maximum Script Size; no luck either.Hi WallyJim,
For your first problem, possible workaround:
In Programs and Features (or Add/Remove Programs), right click the Microsoft Enterprise Library 5.0 Optional Update 1 program and select change. Remove the VisualStudio2010 integration.
Then, install the EnterpriseLibrary Configuration extension from Microsoft via the Extension Manager in VS2010. This will allow you to launch the configuration editor from VS2010, but will not be installed for SSMS.
For more information, please refer to
https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/620532/error-message-on-new-query-window-opening.
For your second problem, the following conditions might affect the behavior of IntelliSense:
There is a code error above the cursor.
The insertion point is inside a code comment.
The insertion point is inside a string literal.
The automatic options are turned off.
For more information, refer to Troubleshooting IntelliSense (SQL Server Management Studio):
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms173434.aspx.

Maggie

Unable to create new query using query manager
Hi friends,
I have been trying to create a query using query manager for couple of hours but still not able to.I am following the instructions given in oracle Peopletools 8.52 : Peoplesoft query
Chapter - creating new queries.
Below are the steps I am going through to create new query:
Step - I open the component Reporting Tools-> Query->Query Manager , I don't get the tabbed pages one for search an existing query and another for create new query.
Please follow this link to see how the page is displayed in first step:
http://uploadpic.org/v.php?img=EvMvVAXX1E
Step 2 - When I click on create new query link, I am redirected to a page where it asks for record name to add in the query. But, even this page is not displayed as how it supposed to be
http://uploadpic.org/v.php?img=GzHh3f6krU
Step 3 - Following the above step, when I click on Person record to add into my query I am asked to select the fields that I want to display in the output.
But I somehow do not get the proper tabbed pages where individual pages are there to add the attributes to complete the query like adding multiple records, fields, query, expressions, prompt...etc
http://uploadpic.org/v.php?img=Wbbla3Q3jE
I am neither able to select multiple records in my query nor able to customize my query to get the desired results.
Below is the query that I want to create using query manager:
SELECT P.EMPLID,P.BIRTHDATE, N.NAME, A.ADDRESS1, A.ADDRESS2, A.CITY
FROM PS_PERSON P, PS_NAMES N, PS_ADDRESSES A
WHERE P.EMPLID = N.EMPLID AND
N.EMPLID = A.EMPLID AND
P.BIRTHDATE BETWEEN to_date('1990/1/1','yyyy/mm/dd') and to_date('1991/1/1','yyyy/mm/dd');Hi,
As I cannot access your screenshot by the blocking of company firewall rules.
I'm guessing currently you are using PT 8.52.00 version, correct?
This should be a bug, that you need to apply the 8.52.0X patch, not sure which patch fix this, you can apply the latest one to solve this issue for no tab page of query manager. (PT 8.52.06)
Hope this helps.
Thanks,

Hi Experts,
I am facing following problem in creating a new query.
User entered the billing date at run time in the query
he wants to see the sales figures Expiry date wise where expiry date will be equal to billing date+15.
For example if user gives Billing date as 01.09.2010 then he wants to see the sales figure for Expiry date= 16.09.2010
how is it possible on query level?
Please suggest.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
PrakashHello Prakash,
First create date variable (include day,month,year)
Restrict the above date variable to the sales figure to get 01.09.2010
again restrict the date vairable to the sales figure (with set variable offset+1) to get secound day sales figure i.e 02.09.2010.
COntinute for 15 off set to get 19.09.2010 sales figure.
Hope you understand it.
Please let me know if you need any help.
Thanks.

I am getting below exception while clicking on new query button in SSMS of SQL server 2008 R2 SP2.
I am thinking to reinstall Complete Management Tools. is it worth to give a try on production server? What can be the fix?

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.Hi,
How many SQL Server instances were installed on the server?
Have you tried to connect this instance from another machine using SQL Server Management Studio?
1. Try the solution by Zack1223 in the link below. Delete the shell folder in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\ and check the result.

2. Try to download and install shared management objects to fix this issue. Download here:

Can't create a new query with an error msg
We used to create a query called, eg, Q, then we copied it to Q_1 and deleted Q, but somehow when we try to rename the copied query Q_1 back to Q by creating a new query called Q, get error msg saying that 'Query name Q exists already'. When we try to find the query from BEX analysor, can't find it, and also the query is not an entry of the table RSZCOMPDIR. Somehow the query Q still exists somewhere in the system.
Anyone's idea is greatly appreciated on how to resolve the problem!hi Kevin,
with RSZDELETE, the query visible ?
check thread

try program ANALYZE_RSZ_TABLES ? (OSS Note 792779)

Not able to replace new query in old workbook
Hi All,
I am having a workbook on a query which was developed long back,due to few changes i created new query and now i want to replace that query in old workbook which it is not allowing also tried to create new workbook with new query but when i run workbook it shows no applicable data found ,when i run query the data is coming.
I need all your suggestion on this
Regards
DevaHi Dev,
Open your Workbook and Go to the Sheet in which the desired query (to be removed) is embedded.
In the "BEx Toolbar" 3rd Last Icon if you place cursor on it it will say "Tools" > Click on Tools and you will see an Option "Remove Query" or if you want to remove All queries from Work book there is another option Tools> All Queries in Workbook --> Detach.
This will remove the Query from Workbook.
Then in same Tools--> you can see Insert Query click on it and point (select) your new Query.
This will insert the new query in Workbook.
Save the Workbook.
Hope this will resolve your issue.
Do post back if you face any probs.
Thanks

How to get the text for the new query
Hi all...
we have created a new query by copy of existing query. iwe have changed only the sales area in the filter.
when we run the original query in japan language, getting japan text for the material where as for the new query it is not getting japan text.
we have extracted text masterdata for sales area but when we run the query it is not displaying material description in japan language.
how to get text for the material in the new query?
thankshi,
What is the output for text filed you are getting as of now?
Check the properties of the material in old query?
Generate the query in tcode RSRT and execute and check.
Check if the Display as properties is selected as "Key and Text".
try to replace it back(sales area) in filters and check in new query - if u are getting the desired output or not.

A brand new query tool is out on beta, we need feedback, so you get a free copy
We at Nob Hill Software are working on a new query tool:
http://www.nobhillsoft.com/MarieAlix.aspx?HeardVia=ptut
You can read all about it on the above web page, but basically, its a very ambitious project to create what we call 'the query tool to end all query tools': everything you ever wanted, desired, dreamed about in a query tool, and then some.
For that, we need people who will download it, use it, tell us what they think, what's good and what's not, and what they would like to see in the future. This program has been going on since winter 2009, and so far we've made plenty of DB users happy - but we could always use more feedback. No catches, no tricks, we will never ask for money or anything - just to know what you want, so we can put it in. When the tool is finally out on production, all those who contributed will have it for free - for life.
If you're interested, just download and start working. Then email us your feedback, which can be anything from a single sentence to entire pages.
Contact us through the site if you have any questions!
Thank You

Enabling Create New Query and Personalize in Check Status
Hi All,
We followed below steps Enable Create New Query and Personalize in Check Status
Go to the role of the user - PFCG - Authorizations - Change authorization data - Cross-application authorization objects - authorizations for Personal Object Work List (POWL) iViews
Specified the application ID POWL_APPID - SAPSRM_E_CHECKSTATUS
What should be done to enable define query and personalize for all users.
We have changed the following settings -
In activity POWL_CAT - '??' , POWL_LSEL-DISALLOWED - POWL_QUERY - ?? , POWL_RA_AL - ?? , POWL_TABLE - ??.
With our current settings Create New Query and Personalize in Check Status appear but are disabled (greyed out)
New Query Button appears but clicking on it produces no output.

Edited by: Nikhil Malvankar on Sep 12, 2011 5:57 AMYou could the following to check if the Query still exists in the database:
Open SQL Management Studio and connect to the SQL Server hosting the ConfigMgr database
In SQL Managemnt Studio, Expand Database, Expand CM_YourSiteCode
Expand tables and find the dbo.Queries table
Right-click the dbo.Queries table and select Select Top 1000 Rows
See if you can find your "ghost" Query
Please note - it IS NOT supported
to make direct changes to ConfigMgr database so I would properly call PSS on this one before you start getting creative. -
Copy query (SQ01) to new query with new infoset
Hi,
Not sure if this is correct forum.
Is there a way to copy existing query with an infoset to a new query using another created infoset?
If so, please explain how.
Kind regardsHi,
If you want to copy a query for another infoset its not possible.
The copied query will work for that infoset only which you have been generated.
You need to make a new infoset and than create a new query for it.
Regrds,

Transport Required when Creating New Query
I am attempting to create a new query on an InfoProvider which has several existing queries written on it. After I have created the query in development when I attempt to save the query I receive an error saying the "query could not be saved due to a problem in transport. BEx transport request '' is not available or suitable".
It appears that the system is looking for a BEx transport to be assigned via RSA1 but since this is a new report I believe I should be able to save the report to TMP and assign a transport at a later time.
Am I correct in my assumption and, if so, any thoughts why I'm receiving this error?Hi Jonathan,
Unfortunately, you do need a transport request if you are using already transported objects in yur new query definition. Even if you assign a request in RSA1 > transport connection, you will need to log out and logback into BEx before you can save your query. As an option and to save part of your development effort, you can remove these objects from your definition and save it. Then log out, assign a request and log back into BEx and then add the other objects to your query.
About the points: There seems to be something wrong with it for the past couple of days and I assume SDN is working to fix it. May be you can check back later and see if it is available... -
Error when trying to add new query on QaaWs
Hello
Using BO XI 3.1 enterprise client tools 'Query as a web service' the following happens:
(I was advised by my administrator to reinstall BO which I have done but this error still occurs).
1. Upon loggin on, I receive the message "You are trying to connect to a server which version is superior to XI 3.1. You may encounter unexpected issues. We recommend to connect to an XI 3.1 server".
I don't understand that, I thought XI 3.1 was the latest version? Anyway, I click 'OK' and QaaWs window opens.
2. Query-new query- publish query as a web service wizard opens. I enter a web service name and description and click 'next'. After around 30 seconds the following error message appears:
Impossible to load the list of data sources
The following error occurs
GetDataSourceList exception (Error: WQR 99999)
The request failed with HTTP status 503: Service unavailable.
Please contact your administrator
I'm clutching at straws, but I note I do not have an ODBC defined locally to this server, does that matter?
Many thanks in advance
EddieThanks for your reply.
Well I'll need to check with my technical lead to answer all of the points you raise.
However, if my client tools version is 3.1 sp3, how can the server version be superior??
I am logging in as administrator to avoid issues with security.
