where did you got error.
I think in 6th step you just create fixes values,Translations & User-defined routines
ans delete all you have done at 6th step then the cursor goes to 7th step.

Hello TJK,
LSMW will work in the same way as you create normal material master with the transactions, here you are giving the value through flat file and creating material master with program.
You can create only one view with LSMW but you need to give all mandatory field on that particular view, so if you have only these three field as mandatory then yes it is possible, if you have any more field mandatory addition to these fields then it will not work out, during the last step it will throw error saying "maintain the value for field XXX"

LSMW to create Sales Order using direct input RVINVB10

Hi,
I need advise on 2 parts of Sales Order creation using direct input program RVINVB10.
1) How do I enter the WBS Element PS_POSID in the item line of Account Assignment tab? There does not seem to be a field in the direct input program structure to fill this in.
2) How can I fill in item tab 'Billing Plan' that appears only when Item Category = 'Milestone Billing'?

Please go through the documentation of the BAPI. It gives you details of what needs to be filled in in which structure/parmater. Also, read the documentation associated with each structure, that will tell what to fill.
It is really hard to explain it in simple terms as to what are required. But, you need the header, items and partners at the minimum. Also, with some of these structures there are also 'X' structures(like ORDER_ITEMS_INX for ORDER_ITEMS_IN) which should also be filled based on what fields you filled in the original structure. For example, if you filled 'MATERIAL' field on the ORDER_ITEMS_IN structure, you should also fill in the same field on the ORDER_ITEMS_INX structure with an 'X' in it.
All this is well documented in the BAPI.

I have small issue , I am using LSMW-Batch/Direct Input method i this method am using some fields and as per those fields i maintain flat file data.
in 7th step i specify file name , while saving that one am getting this Error message i.e.
File Name 'Converted Data': Max. 45 Characters. Remaining data saved. so please could you help me abt that .

Hi Shaik,
In specify files step -> Files -> converted data the filename will be automatically proposed by system.
<Project name><Subproject name><Object name>.lsmw.conv
this file name should not exceed 45 characters. so please cut short the names of Project name / Subproject name/Object name or
double click on proposed file name and change it.

Lsmw in direct input

Hi,
I am doing a lsmw in direct input. Depending if i put the sales org. or not i get this error message:
Tax category/ is not defined for country DE
When i run the transaction manualy i dont get the error and I am using the same data.

The character "/" is the empty field character. It needs to go in the first character of an empty field. You may have put it in the wrong position. Check the file layout.

Using Direct Input mode: UTF-8 character encoding assumed

When I validate a web page in dreamweaver CS5 (using Jeffrey Zeldman's Web Standards Advisor ) I receive the following warning; Using Direct Input mode: UTF-8 character encoding assumed.
However if I validate using W3C either as a file upload or via the live site the page validates correctly.
Can anybody please help, as it is driving me insane.

IN WHAT SCENARIOS CAN WE USE BATCH INPUT/DIRECT INPUT/BAPI/IDOCS WITH LSMW.WHICH IS THE BEST ONE.PLEASE TELL ME THE SCENARIOS OF USAGE.

It really depends on what you are doing. There are a lot of "standard" LSMW objects for different business objects, for example, there is a std object for Creating Material Masters, in this case, it is a direct input program. So, the best choice here would be to use the standard program which has been provided, it just so happens that it is a direct input program. Creating Bill of Materials is another one, but this one is a batch input program, so you have no choice but to go with that. Of course if there is a BAPI for your business object that would be the next best thing, if a standard object does not exists.

Thanks! I am using submit statement in my program as well but its populating all the views like Sales Organization Data, Sales - General / Plant Data, Accounting, and all the other views except the Basic Data View.. Eventhough i have populated the corresponding fields of the same.
I am also using structure BGR00, BMM00, BMMH1 to upload the data

Lsmw using batch input record session

hi experts,
My requirement is to generate purchase info record number (PIR) for the flat file data containing vendor acc number(lifnr) , plant(werks) , purchase organization combination using me11 t code. after processing the bdc for the first time it generates a PIR but for the next record it is showing the first PIR number. how to give the default value as empty to PIR in LSMW.

I tried it in BCD call transaction, it is not working in LSMW . If I default the field infnr(PIR) with ' ' next value is populating to the infnr fileld.

Have you deleted First Line in text File...
One Of the reason for this error is if u dont delete First Line in Text File....
try this....
Check for blanks in Excel...
Check for Source Fields..
Also Check any Unnecessary Space is there in ur excel file......

LSMW Direct input method error

Hi experts,
   I created the LSMW using direct input method (PR Creation).
   In the create batch input session step (executed) i am getting below
message and follwed bt processing terminated message and going out
Transaction 0: transaction code / not supported
what could be the problem ? any problem in specifying logical path .
pls let me know the solution.

LSMW Direct Input Method RMDATIND tax classification material

Hi folks,
I am loading material master data throught LSMW using direct input method. In MM01 for a particular sales org we have tax classifcation for three different countries US, CA and GB. Could anyone tell me how do I post the tax classification Material data in the table control for these three different countries.

Not sure about the same requirement of countries & tax codes for all the materials for your upload.
If this is the case,
enable the
Extras->DisplayVariant
from the menu of the LSMW & check all the check boxes. Now you see the
__END_OF_RECORD__
for the structure
BMMH2
which has to be mapped with the input structure in the Maintain structure relations step.
double click on the
__END_OF_RECORD__
which will lead to ABAP editor & then put the following code:
* Canada
bmmh2-stype = '3'.
bmmh2-aland = 'CA'.
bmmh2-taty1 = 'CTX1'.
bmmh2-taxm1 = '1'.
transfer_record.
bmmh2-stype = '3'.
bmmh2-aland = 'CA'.
bmmh2-taty1 = 'CTX2'.
bmmh2-taxm1 = '1'.
transfer_record.
else if you have a different set of countries with different tax codes for the set of materials,
You need to have a separate file for this & map the fields to the structure fields of
BMMH2
