LSO Rapid Publishing Content

Hi All,
Iam trying to Publish Course Content using Training Administrator role. i have browsed for the source file and when i click on the folder it is throwing the below error.
SOAP:1.007 SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 404 : Not Found")
I have clicked on show folder of original files and it is showing the location.
I have checked the authorizations and they are fine.This is working in Cloud system and in Dev it is not.
Please let me know if anyone faced the same issue.

Check the Webservice destinations configurations for Repository Service & Publisher Service under SOAMANAGER tcode.

Hi Please ensure the following nodes are set. you could also ask basis team to perform it:
SPRO of ECC backend system:

CMCFG RFCDE
rfc destination created in portal Visual admin for ECC backend system.
REPEX MRURL
http://<portal.domain.com:50000>/irj/go/km/docs/documents/ECC_400Rep
CPCFG RSURL
http://<portal.domain.com:50000>/irj/go/km/docs/documents/ECC_400Rep
/ECC_400Rep is the folder created in KM contents of portal for LSO master repository
you must have above nodes set.

Editing a previously published content item results in no workflow applied

Hi,
We have developed numerous workflows, which are configured as default from New menu configurations.
We are seeing two issues:
1) Copying an existing content item, the assigned workflow to the New menu is not applied. This is apparently by design in 11g (did work in 7.x) according to Oracle support. We have raised a product enhancement request
2) Editing a content item which has passed through its workflow stages and has been published, the previously assigned workflow is not assigned.
Issue 2) is what we are looking into now. Apparently (again) this is by design.
Is there a common approach that people are using to resolve this issue, in that editing a previously published content item, those changes will be subject to the original workflow stages before it will be re-published?
We have heard mentioned of listeners or further stages in the workflow...

Publishing Content Items through API

Hello,
I am currently using EDK 5.3 for publishing content items. I have been sucessful in editing an existing content item using APIS. However It looks like APIS doesn't have a way to schedule to publish content items for a future date.
I tried to do some reverse engineering and found out that this information is stored in pcsscheduledcontent and pcsscheduleitems tables. I was able to figure out how to change the dates as this are stored in pcsscheduleitems table,however can't find out where are the values are being stored for time.
Say, I want to publish the content item for 08/28/2008 4:00 pm using the APIS, I am able to get to the date from the above 2 tables but really can't find out where the time is stored. I have tested from the User interface that the time is also retained based on the options we pick.
And also I have seen that the Loadid keeps on increasing for every change I make.
Can someone please help me/ guide me in the right direction?

pcsscheduledContent table. schedule something to be published in the future and then do a select on that table with an order by clause of :
ORDER BY ITEMBEGINDATE DESC
The itembegindate column contains the date AND time of the publishing schedule. you may just not be converting the value correctly.

Workflow Problem : Publishing &Content Archiving

Thanks a lot for your help.
Let me be more clear in my question.
I am using the XML Form Builder 'Edit' page to uplaod a document. Once I click on the 'Save' button of the 'Edit' form, the content automatically gets displayed on the 'renderListItem' form and subsequently on the 'Show' form as well.
Also the document gets saved in the .xml format in one of the folders for which I have set up the workflow.
But now, the question is what is the point in setting up the workflow for a document when it gets displayed as soon as it is uploaded.
So I wanted to know how I can prevent the form from getting displayed on the 'renderItemList' form before it gets approved.(assuming that the user will always Submit the document for approval)
Jus for additional information, my workflow consists of the following,
Editor->approver->publisher->Reader(only for viewing the published contents)

To your first question, I've looked here on MSDN as well as Google. Most information points to the indivivual not "publishing" their workflow to that list - that's not my situation. I click on the Publish button, but I get no workflow.
To your second point; I created a plain-vanilla list workflow (not a Reusable Workflow), and attached it to the desired list. When I show the workflows in SPD, my new workflow is listed under the List Workflows and when I view the SPD page displaying the
workflow settings for this workflow, and click on the "Open associated list" link, it pulls up the appropriate list.
To your third point; when I pull up the workflow settings from the list, it shows that "There are no workflows associated with this list" - as if the "publish" never happened.
This is driving me crazy!

Rtmt error exception in publish content on Critical Services cucm

Hi everybody, i have a problem with RTMT version 8.7 over CUCM 8.5.1.10000, when i try see the Critical Services of my cluster, i see a error "Exception in publish content", and it not show my service list, another functions of my RTMT have not any problem, only this. i attach an image.
Can anybody help to me or suggest what is the problem.

i found the problem just now, this occurs when you have a mixed cluster UCS/MCS, the reference of this bug is presented in the next link,

Published content as SCORM 1.3 (2004) - view Table of Contents?

I've published some UPK content (A module containing 13 topics) created in 3.6.1 as SCORM 1.3 (2004).
I have zipped up the content in the Publishing Content > LMS folder so that the imsmanifest file is in the root of the .zip. I have uploaded this file into an LMS (Activate LMS) but when I then launch the content from the LMS I do not see the TOC page and can only complete the first topic in the module. When I complete this Topic I can't then exit it (apart from closing the entire window) and this then doesn't update the module as being started.
The URL that the LMS is loading points only to the topic that does load.
Why is this and how can I configure the content so that the LMS points to the TOC page and not just a single topic.

The best way to import from my experience into an LMS is to import at 1.2. do not use the zip file. unzip the file to your LMS server, then import the .xml 1.2 manifest file.
if you are using 11.0. select show navigation buttons. This shows the entire structure of my file.

Captivate 4 not Zipping Published content if SCORM options turned on!

I am having a HUGH issue... Captivate 4 is not Zipping published files if the SCORM options are turned on... I've been using captivate for years, it's not rookie mistake.
When you enable the scorm options and publish it doesn't zip the published content. If you disable SCORM it zips them just fine.
PLEAS HELP SOMEONE!!!! Adobe support is not help at all... one actually told me to return the product.

If that's the only issue, why not just zip the resulting content yourself? Both Mac and Windows offer built-in methods for creating .zip files...
IS that the only issue?
Does your lesson have scored interactions?
You've setup the preferences/tracking correctly?
.zip is checked in the publish options? And it just doesn't .zip?

Publisher Content to the Knowledge Directory

Hello,
I want to publish a single portlets published content to the knowledge directory. Let's call the portlet 'Policy Info'
So I created a publisher crawler. Unfortunately, it would not let me drill down to the exact portlet. I only gave me a choice at the root level of all the portlets. (I don't want all publisher portlet content item to show up in the KD).
I tried to create a filter that would grab only info from that specific portlet. But the filter does not have a property to specify the portlet name. I can create a filter on each content item, but that means adding or deleting a filter every change.
Any ideas how to get the published content from 1 specific folder into the KD?

Vivek,
It should allow you to do so. You can drill down to the exact portlet folder and configure that folder in the Publisher Crawler.
Note: All root level folders are Hyperlinks, when displayed while creating a publisher crawler. Click on the root folder and navigate to your portlet folder.

Error: The application 'PSENTONE' folder does not contain an objects map database. [116]

Publishing Content Types from Hub in Bulk

I am able to publish content types from the hub just fine. However, I am in a migration scenario where over 1500 content types are being migrated to SharePoint Online from SP2013. We have successfully migrated these to the content hub, managed metadata stores,
etc. However, when they are migrated, the publish property does not migrate with it.
On-Premises, we could publish all of these with PowerShell so they could be consumed by the syndicated sites. Is there a way to publish all of these so that we don't have to go into each once via the UI?

Depends who you give access too. What I'd consider doing is making a copy of what you consider to be the template for the rest of the content types, save that to a unique category within the list of content types and then build the rest off that. Show the
client how to make changes to JUST that template and in theory you'll be fine.
Or, are the content types in use already?

Publisher trouble : Published Content based portlets disabled

I've configured an environment with an instance of publisher. Later, I've created a publisher redirector, and republished all items in the publisher back office
For some obscur reasons, since this last modification, I cannot create new portlets based on the Published Content web service. I always got the message "This portlet has been deactivated. Contact your portal administrator."
I've checked the Published Content web service and it's enabled
Where is the error ? Must I configure something in another place ?
Another error, that has a probable relation with this previous error : I'm not able to do a "preview" of all my content items under the publisher back office, I always got an error saying me that or the page is unknown

The exact problem is : after importing the PTE file published_content_portlets.pte, I cannot use the newly imported portlets.
For example, when I want to create a new portlet base on the template "News" french localized, I cannot modify this new portlet : I got a popup which told me that the template is not properly configured or files are missing.
By the way, when I open the publisher explorer, I can see all the portlets I've imported but they are not published

Problem in zip generation when exporting Publisher content

Hi all
On AIX when exporting, the publisher content size of the generated zip located in ptcs/6.4/settings/migration/ is changing between exports.
For example, the first time export generates a 1234 bits file and the second (same content is exported) generates a 1238 bits file.
does anybody know why?

Subscription and published content inquiry.

I've started using the trial version just recently and encountered a notice that the published content would expire after x number of days. Would like to know if I do subscribe does the content become non-usable if my subscription runs out?

Portlet Creation from published Content

Hi Team,
We have a workflow setup where content item will be created, approved & published in work flow. Once it is published is there way to create portlet out of the published content insteaed of going into administation --> Create Portlet --> published contnet procedure.
Because that way content managers can easly create a new portlet once it is published.
