LSO -Training ADministrator

Hi Folks,
Could any one brief about the administrator roles in LSO as many things can be customised in easy access itself  using Current settings .[ with out going to SPRO]
I just want to know about the consultant role here in back end.
Thanks in advance
Kumar

Hi Elizabeth,
The administrator inital who did the actual backend booking will be recorded in table HR1001 Field Name: UNAME, based on course relation (025 is classroom, 614 if e-learning), course id and personal id you will be able to retrieve this data.
Try using SE16 > HRP1001 to find the data.
Hope this answer helps you along

  • Training Administration vs Oracle Learning Management

    Hi,
I am very new to OLM. Can anyone explain what is the difference between Training Admin and Oracle Learning Management.
I referred 11.5.9 and R12 user guides of Oracle Learning Managemnt. I found the Activities, Events in 11.5.9. But in R12 I did't get those. But Activity information is stored in OTA_ACTIVITY_DEFINITIONS Table in R12. Where its coming from?.
    Kindly help me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Srinivasulu Vakati

Oracle Learning Management (OLM) is the new release of Oracle Training Administration (OTA). There are many different versions of OTA and OLM, and there are major differences in the functionality available and the way content is organized. This cannot be explained in a few lines, you have to read the manuals and the delta documents.
A good place to start would be : "Learning Management: Upgrading from Oracle Training Administration", id= 308352.1 on Metalink.

  • LSO training informations

    Hello,
I have to develop an additional function to SAP-LSO. I need to know where the informations about trainings and learner are saved.
I've found the table LSOLSPTRACKING. It contains the most data i need. But i nee the learner information to these runs in LSOLSPTRACKING. Where can i find it?
Is there a function module to read all informations about a learner? A function module which supplies the data like in the portal view?
The next thing is: I have to overwrite this values. Is there a similiar function module?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi,
tranining needs (TN) are linked to training types (D).
You can also find information in SAP Service Marketplace
http://service.sap.com/hrfr under France -> Media Center -> Training Needs Management

  • Delivery Type Attributes in LSO/Training and Events Management

We need to create an OJT delivery type for Courses.  It should allow for duration of the training and assignment of instructor, but not require a schedule nor a course content URL.  None of the standard delivery types fit this bill, so I would like to take one of them and modify the attributes, but the IMG does not easily allow this.
My question is two-part:  1.  Is there a Delivery type that will accommodate the above requirements?  If not, then 2.  How do I modify attributes for a Delivery type to try to customize one that will do what we need it to?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Hi Zubair,
    Do these steps
    1. Select the Check box for <b>Standard Selection screen</b>.
    2. Click the Button "<b>Set Structure Condition</b>"
    3. You will see a popup and table control as Structure Condition
    4. You can enter the relation to which the Object type in your Selection screen you have chosen.
For Eg if you are looking at the Employee  -> Addtended Training program
Your Object Type is "P" and select the respective Evaluation Path in the POPUP Structure Condition.
    Hope this will help you.

  • LSO - Training approval notification

    Hi
When Line Manager approves the Training request of a Candidate, we are aware that candidate gets a approval / rejection notification, is the notification sent to manager also. What is the standard process.
    Awaiting an early reply.
    Thanks !

    Hi Priya,
Thanks for the reply, but I would like to have the confirmation here -
The employee/delegate gets the notification not the manager, since the manager is the one approving it.
So the Manager wont get the confirmation as he himself is the approver.
Is this a Standard SAP Process ?
    Awaiting reply.
    Thanks !

  • SAP LSO: Training appraisal after 3 month

    Hi everyone.
I know about the course appraisals directly after a training. Is there a possibility to automatically send out a second evaluation form to the participant after some time regarding training transfer (e.g. after 3 month).Would that be standard or enhancement?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Nadja,
Yes you can able to send the notification using a custom workflow. Please try to use BOR LSO_TRAINI for trigger element.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Sap ECC6.0 Training Administration BET and BE terminology

Can anyone help with the following?
With ECC 6.0, SAP has changed the terminology of "Business Event Type" to "Course Type", and "Business Event" to "Course".  However, our business processes refer to them as "Course" and "Class".  If the terminology in SAP is going to change anyway, the business would prefer to call them what they are....."Business Event Type" = "Course" and "Business Event" = "Class".  We need to investigate the configuration options to see if SAP will allow us to make this change (and make it consistently & thoroughly throughout the system)

My PI 7.1 host name is pi7server , and the DBSID = PI7 and SAPSID=PI7.
I was wanting this option " The installation of an additional SAP system in an existing database"
when you say , install two DB software , do you mean that I install the ORACLE 10 software again or just have the SAPSID=EC6 but DBSID as PI7.
I have 8 GB RAM and adequate disk space, would it be sufficient, I am not a BASIS person and nor am I looking for a high efficiency system , it would be mainly for sandboxing/testing PI 7.1 with ECC.
where would i find more detailed instructions for this kind of installation.

  • Prepare end user trainning document

i have configured LSO and now my client want me to prepare end user training documents, please provide your inputs and guide me on how to prepare them , and some good tips on how to conduct the training

    Hi
Whenever you are preparing an end user manual first you need to identify the roles, I mean we need to identify the activities to be performed, who is going to perform those activities and steps to perform those activities.
Here we go, If we look at your thread you would want to prepare LSO End user manual, for this module the roles could be as follows:
    1. Training Administrator
    2. Booking Administrator
    3. Learner (Internal/External)
    4. Billing Administrator
The following activities could be performed by the above roles.
    1. TRAINING ADMINISTRATOR : Prepare an end user document for this administrator by explaining the Catalog Preparation Process such as creation of Course Group, Course Type (with different delivery methods, payment methods etc) and Creation of courses.
    2. BOOKING ADMINISTRATOR : Prepare an end user document for this administrator by explaining the
different registration processes such as Classroom for externals, classroom for internal employees, E-learning for external, Remote/Virtual Classroom for externals and internals etc.
    3. LEARNER : Explain the steps to access the courses created by the training administrator (for ex: provide the link, show the course group, course type and course descritpion, course fee, course days etc...) and also explain the online booking process
    4. BILLING ADMINISTRATOR : Explain the steps to bill the course (different invoice models) for external peoples and explain the procedure of Activity Allocation for the internal employee courses.
Please close this thread if you got clarifications on how to prepare end user manual for LSO processes. It is obvisouly not possible for anybody to give exact end user manual for any module, since the processes followed by companies are different from each other.

  • Remove the toolbar for the LSO Content Player Window.

    Hi All,
We are implementing SAP LSO. In the BSP Application HCM_Learning, I am able to run the course by clicking on link 'Start Now'. The BSP page related to this is "Training Home.htm".
Now a new window popup up ( ie) the content player popup in a new window and plays the course. I want to remove the toolbar from this new popup window.
I changed the toolbar value from yes to no in the Function Popup() defined .
    function popup(t, b)
             thePopup = window.open (b,t,"toolbar=no,menubar=no,width=300,height=250,scrollbars,resizable");
              thePopup.focus();
But still i'm getting that toolbar in the popup window.
    How can i resolve this.?
Please give me your valuable inputs.
    Thanks,
    Eben Joyson.

    Hey Ravi,
    Thanks for sharing your perspective.
After thinking further about the real estate question, I believe that, at least in the US, most instructional designers aim to present content at 800x600 pixel size.  This accounts for differing monitor sizes, etc.  If this is the case, then good instructional design (e.g. don't put too much content on a screen at once) should assure that content could be played in-line (in the BSP page).  Since the navigational controls are at the bottom, that wouldn't have any effect on width of the page and could also be accommodated.
I'm still of the opinion that SAP LSO (and all leading LMS systems) should evolve to presenting content in the base window.  Perhaps there are some extreme exceptions where the extra real estate would make a true difference.  In that case, perhaps the learner should be offered an LSO learner setting where they can choose to display content in-line or in a separate window....let them decide   Alternatively, one could offer the Training Administrator an infotype setting where they specify whether the content should be displayed in-line (default) versus in a separate popup (this could be used on an exception basis).
