Lumia 925 charging questions

If I power off my 925, then plug in a USB charger, the 925 turns itself back on again? The same thing happens when using the wireless chargng shell with a CR-200 Wireless Charging Car Holder and a Wireless Charging stand.
Is this by design, or possibly a fault? I'd prefer if the phone just stayed powered off.

Hi Sixmabone3. I just discovered this forum since I was looking for a solution to my problem. I have a Nokia 925. I bought a CC-3065 wireless charging cover for it. And have a Wireless car charger CR-201.
And I have the same problem as you described in your post on 28-09-2013 9:45 : I cannot make it working, it is simply not charging and I could not find a solution while googling around.
So my question : did you finally made it working ?

Nokia Lumia 925 charging

I have a lumia 925, when I plug it in the wall it takes about 2h to fully charge.
When I connect it via usb to the pc it takes 5h or 6h to charge.
Today, I started driving with the copilot app from antwerpen to amsterdam, 150km, and with the usb car charger plugged in, however when I arrived to amsterdam, the battery was at 7%, even I could see the icon on the top right as charging, it looks like the app drains the battery faster than the cable can charge.
Or maybe the cable cant charge via usb from car? do I need a special cable or charger?

2.1A should be quite adequate for this task. Any reputable charger brand would do.
I cannot see how you can possibly use the same cable to charge a Lumia and an iPhone, however that is irrelevant. If you are using a third-party app it is quite possible that the WP version is not coded as well as the iOS version and uses more power. That you would have to take up with the app developer.

Non Availability of Lumia 925 charging shell

I have been visiting nokia priority dealers here in Chandigarh as well as in Delhi
No-one has the CC-3065 wireless charging shell for lumia 925
Does anyone know what's the problem?

There's not a lot we can do for you here other than suggest that you contact Nokia India.

All Lumia devices accept 5V and 1.3A via microUSB irespective of region so will be no issues.

Lumia 925: charging from MacBook

Hi Folks,
Hoping someone might have a clue as to what's going on with my phone. I bought it a few months ago and since then I have had no problems at all connecting it to my MacBook Pro, but since last week it just won't connect; the Windows Phone app just doesn't find it. OK, I rebooted the phone and my Mac, no difference. Re-installed Windows Phone app, still no difference.
I couldn't be bothered fighting with it as I can upload the photos to SkyDrive, and am not that bothered about music, but now it has decided that it won't even charge when plugged in to the Mac. It makes the 'charging' noise for a few seconds then stops. I've tried different cables, different USB ports to no avaii.
It charges ok from a plug, but only works 1 in 3 times with the charger plate despite making sure the connectors are in the right place, and sometimes if I get it to charge it just stops for no reason. This morning it appeared to have charged but when I lifted the phone off the plate it was down at the 'critically low' battery stage.
I've taken it to the O2 shop and they said they can send it away but there are no reports of similar problems to make them think it's a quality issue, so I don't get a replacement phone when it goes away.
Has anyone had, or heard of this issue or a similar one? If so, is there an easy fix?
One last thing - it randomly launches apps, all on its own. Like it can just be sitting there and all of a sudden the voice recognition will run, or the camera. Is that normal? I really want to love this phone but it's doing my head in!

Well, I can't figure out how to post a new topic so I just throughing this out there: I have a Nokia 925 and like to have symbols like green/red phone symbol for making/ending a call. Now I need to read a text: call mobile or end call. Anyone who has an idea how to change te settings for this?

Lumia 925 + wireless charging back = broken BT voi...

I'm posting this in case anyone else has discovered this problem.
I've got a Lumia 925 with the wireless charging back fitted. If I use the phone with a Bluetooth headset to listen to audio on the phone, it is fine. If I use the BT headset, or BT functionality in my car, to make or receive a telephone call, the voice audio is very broken and intermittent. Sometimes ending and restarting the call clears it, but not very often.
What *does* cure the problem is removing the wireless charging back. I have noted that the phone does NOT need to actually be charging for the interference - it just needs to be fitted.
I am NOT sure if the problem is being caused by the accessory or by the phone itself. I am arranging for the accessory to be replaced first (less hassle) but it could well be the phone.

I am having the same exact problem. I was initially thinking that this is some compatability issue between my car's integrated BT support, but as you suggested, once I have removed the charging cover, the issue is gone. What's interesting is that this will continue even if the cover is removed from the phone and until next restart of the phone.
Anyone has solution to this? BTW: I can confirm that in my previous Lumia 920 and my wife's Lumia 820 with wireless cover this does not happen.

hi ive got a problem with my lumia 925 ive got the lates updates, but the phone often dont charge and it displays the charging symbol when ive removed it from the charger. what might be the problem?

#NokiaIndia i hope at least you will hear my plea , in the month of december 2013 i got a Lumia 925 as a Birthday gift from my sisters. It worked fine , i loved each and every feature in that phone in fact it was an amazing change from my samsung S3 . Sadly right after 12 months while using an app, My phone just got switched off and it never is On till date. So immediately the very next day as any other Nokia Customer would do , I just went to the #NokiaCare , Explained to them about all the issues and i was ready to pay for all the damages just to get my phone back in Hand They registered and wrote all my issues with details, asked to pay an advance of Rs 50 to find out the issue and let me know. After a couple of hours I had to call back myself to the customer care unit and find out the update. They asked me to come to the service care, once I reached the service care I was taken by surprise, The Manager from the Koramangala service centre delibrately put a pin between the screen and body of the phone and says your screen has been damaged and you need to pay 12,000 rupees as the screen and touch are in built, Later after few mins the technical person who diagnosed the phone came out and says due to water log problem the phone is not re-booting, If that is the problem you need to pay 4500 Rs.
I asked them if this can be fixed and they were not sure if they could do it or not. With a hope I had given my phone would be reapired and I get a callr 4-5 days just to tell me that the screen is shattered from the inside and the hardware has been crashed , Then i asked them for the estimate they gave me a sum amount of 15,000, Where Rs 10000 for replacing the harware component and additional 500rs as service cost . I asked them about the warranty and they told me warranty can't be used to cover physical damage . . Suddenly to my horror one of the Service agent gave me a call and tells me ''Sir sorry to say this Only your phone screen can be repaired and not the hardware component'' . I asked them ''What's the use of a phone which i can't use to make calls'' . they just give me a reply saying ''I Don't know'' . I Wonder how did #Nokia Service Agents instead of treating a Customer as King as well as satisfy them with their complaints say something like that ? I Believe #NokiaIndia #Nokia #Lumia is known for their durability . Depressed and Unhappy i went to the care center they gave me back my phone , Giving it a look i found that the casing wasn't done properly.SO my question is why do I have to to shell out Rs 15000 while I can get a new phone for 25,000 Rs onine. Its not like i broke the phone into two and gave it to the #Nokiacare just to do some miracle and get it back alive . Its totally a functioning phone , Really Disappointing customer care service firstly , charging a bomb to the customer just to repair it . JUST 13 months OLD PHONE WORTH 30K .. Am i supposed to just forget the phone ?? or do i get any justice at all ? But seriously thanks to the amazing Nokia Care agents who Indirectly asked me to just forget my phone . Really disappointing , I pray that no one should go through a situation just like this . Spending a Bombshell for the phone and the company themselves can't repair what they made ... Nokia Lumia 925 Windows phone keeps shutting down

     I have had a problem for the past 2 months, my Nokia Lumia 925 with Win 8.1 keeps shutting down spontaneously. (I did not have this problem before 8.1) This is my third phone in the last 2 months (warranty program keeps sending me replacements) and it shut down for the first time this morning. All 3 have developed the same problem, the phone will shut down spontaneously and the only way to start it up again is a soft reset (Volume down + Power for 15 seconds). I have had a total of 10-15 shutdowns between the 3 phones and this is a conservative estimate.
     I am thinking that this has to be a setting or an app that I use (and few others do) that is causing the shutdown since I have only seen a few other similar issues in the forums. Here are some of the basic facts about my situation and some of the actions I have taken:
              - I have wiped the phones repeatedly (3 phones wiped a total of 3 or 4 times not including the initial setup of the replacement phones, which is getting really old--really fast).
               - I have tried turning off NFC, but that obviously wasn't the issue because NFC was off this morning when it shut off.
                - I have tried trimming the screen protector/screen guard I installed as suggested in one of the other forums even though that seemed ridiculous (I think that was a different model phone too, but I gave it a shot)
I have not noticed any common occurrence such as
                           --when a certain app is running
                           --when it is on/off charger,
                           -- When the battery is full or low (it was 24% this morning).
               -I have 2 chargers, 3 if you include the car charger that I have never had to use due to great battery life.
               - I have called tech support several times, all AT&T can tell me is that this is not a known issue and I should wipe it again. Nokia says the same and that I should send it back to them for repairs. That seems fruitless to me because I have had 3 different phones, what are they going to repair that a new phone won't fix?
       It takes me 3 hours to reinstall and set up my apps, I am getting very frustrated. I really love the way this phone functions, the software is good, the screen is brilliant and very sensitive, the camera is great (although a bit slow), and the size and feel are perfect for me...I hope that someone here on the forums can help.

We appreciate you reaching out to our community regarding your concern. You are using a Lumia 925 as well, correct? Did something happen to your phone that possibly caused such behavior? Did you try doing fixes on it?
Latest software released for Lumia phones is the Lumia Cyan. To confirm that you have it installed on your phone, go to Settings> extras+info. You can also try going to Settings> phone update> check for updates to check if there's an available update. Are your system apps also updated? While connected to WiFi, go to Store> ...> downloads to check for pending updates. Let's hope that the phone will not shut down while doing this process.
By the way, we can try other fixes that could help us identify the real cause of the issue. In case you wish to have it repaired in a Nokia Care Point, warranty claim may vary per region and Nokia does not have an international warranty. Also, creating a backup is a must to avoid data loss. I installed Cyan update less than a week ago (Finland). Everything worked fine, but today my Lumia 925 started to install by itself software updates after which it erased ALL information (pictures, personal software. addressbook etc) from the phone! I also received an SMS from Microsoft congratulating me for buying a Lumia! All the software that is left is the "original" as if I just had purchased the phone.
I logged into my Microsoft account but no information was recovered. I guess this has to do with cyan update.
Can you help me please?!

You should not need to use the software reinstallation tool in this case, simply perform a reset of the phone from Settings, provided the backup option was switched on before the update you will have a backup linked to your Microsoft account, and your contacts at least are automatically sunced with that anyway. Automatic back-ups are normally switched on by defalut.
When the phone starts after the reset, there is an option during the boot-up process that asks if you wish to reinstall an earlier backup. Again, as long as you had all options selected, the resotration would inlude all items from the last back-up.
With regard to the update happening automatically, the phone can (if the setting is switched on) download updates automatically but it is not installed automatically, you would have received a notification on the screen and you would have pressed to install, perhaps this happened at a time when you were preoccupied and you pressed without checking what the notification referred to.
The welcome message is an automated part of the initial boot-up process, even after resets and updates.

Lumia 925 noise cancelling mic problems

I have two problem, questions:
First, I lived in Kuwait and there I bought a Nokia lumia 925 with 12 months Nokia warranty, however I moved back to my home country, is the warranty valid here too?

Unfortunately I need it since the noise cancelling Mic does not work on it. The other microphone at the bottom of the phone works great, because during a phone call there is no problem, they hear me.
However I expected today, when I recorded a video and played it back, it was not mute, but it was like the phone would be in water, I only heard strange muffled sounds. I looked after it, I had been cleaning it for an hour: I blew air into the top microphone with a pump, with my mouth... It did not succeed, it got a little bit better, since now that strange sound is more quiet, and when I shout in it , I can hear it.
Anyway it does not even work while I am recording in the OneNote app.
It is not a solution, it is still terrible.
Please help me!

Lumia 925 screen freeze.

Hi everyone.
I have a returning problem with my Lumia 925 approx once a week since it was new. This happens on random, no particular tasks seems to set this off. Sometimes it is enough to press the volum down and the screenlock button until it restarts, but at other times it is necessary to have the charger connected, in order to make the screen respond after a restart.
Well...it does start...but it is rather annouing...I had the problem some few times with my previous Lumia 920 as well. And it makes me rather hesitant to buy a n Nokia the next time....
So...any suggestions as to why this is happening? Probably the OS, but not necessarily. B.t.w. I have the newest updates for my phone...always :-)

Did something happen to your phone before the issue starts to come up? Did you recently install or download any apps prior to this issue? When you you have the newest updates, does it also include the system apps shown at this link: Nokia Windows Phone 8 App Updates
Try also to do the tips offered at this link and see if the phone's performance will improve. This is for screen responsiveness, which is almost the same with your phone's issues: Troubleshooter for Nokia Lumia 925

Bluetooth won't connect WP 8.1 to Lumia 925 phone

Your up date of the WP 8.1 for the Lumia 925 phone has now stopped accepting ANY Bluetooth devices. FIX the freakin problem and send an update!

My suggestion is delete all the Bluetooth device's profile connected to your PC
